This hotel is in need of an upgrade, it’s worn and dated. The furniture was worn and chipped, the upholstered chair looked worn and dirty. While my room looked clean at first glance, it’s in dire need of a deep clean. The shower had plenty of hot water, but the pressure dies off after about 30 seconds. My room faced the parking lot but the window has only a sheer curtain and there’s no way to close the heavier curtain to block out light because they’re fixed to the wall and don’t extend over the window. I woke at 3am because the lights went on in the parking lot and lit up the room as if it were daytime (think stadium lights, VERY bright). The noise from the hallway and the connecting room was loud. I could hear everything going on in the other room and hallway; no privacy to speak of. The connecting door to that room was unlocked when I arrived. The mattress was not great and should be replaced. There is a railway alongside the hotel, freight trains go by at least once an hour, it’s very loud and lasts about a minute. The only positive I have is the staff, everyone was very friendly, however, the front desk staff should know not to announce names and room locations for solo female travelers upon check in while there are other travelers waiting in line behind them. Please respect each guest’s privacy. I also liked that there was a security guard/vehicle patrolling the parking lot throughout the night; Springfield is not the safest place. I would not stay here again.

A Headache All Around
This was just a getaway for my wife an I. I booked the room on a Sunday night and then monday we had a curve ball thrown at us. We tried to cancel the room within 24 hours of booking it and were unable to do so. That's the first issue.. After shifting things around we were able to use the hotel for the weekend but when we arrived we got put into a double queen instead of the single king we reserved. This would be problem number two.. We went down to front desk and with a speal about booking through a third party WHICH I'LL NEVER AGAIN!! We got moved to a king room.. Starting to look bright? No... The king room was uncomfortable and the TV was so old and laggy that it took a solid two or three seconds for picture to come through when changing the channel. The remote was something from the 1990's and There was no guide to tell you what was playing on the channel... Problem number three.. In the morning you can go down for breakfast, nice but not. They do not include breakfast for $250 dollars a night... Problem 4.. You have to be waited on by staff. WHich was terrible. Food was little better then gas station food. I will not go back to this restaurant and I wont be using third parties to book hotels ever again.

Property is in need of some regular maintenance. One of two elevators has been out of service for weeks. Lights in bathroom flicker. Television worked but not well. And the first full night and morning the building had no hot water, though they did get that working by the second night.

My room was clean and the staff quick to help. But I won’t go back. Property overall feels dated and old. Especially for a Hilton. Bottom sheet was too small to tuck under the mattress and kept bunching up under me. Only one thin blanket in the bed so I kept heat higher than comfortable and air was very dry and parched. TV guide was difficult to find on their website and only listed local call letters so you have to surf through each channel (no guide available with the remote). Lobby coffee only served artificial creamers and breakfast cost $16.95 per person. I don’t eat enough to make it worthwhile.

I asked about a walkable downtown and was told that the homeless are aggressive at night. We have children so did not venture out. We also were charged $50 more than what I was quoted via Expedia. Will avoid Hilton in our future travels.

Hello. Simply put, there was 1 and I mean 1 elevator operating for all guests during my stay. The wait was ridiculous to come up and down. Further, my reservation included breakfast as per my checkout with expedia and the manager stated there was no breakfast with my reservation. Frustration and upsetting to say the least.

Very disappointed that I did not get any Hilton points due to booking through Expedia. Why does Expedia ask for frequent flyers/stays numbers?
Hotel needs renovations of rooms - we had signs of mildew on our bathroom ceiling.
Hotel cleans rooms only upon request and room cost does not reflect any discounted prices yet “usual”services are upon request only.

Hotel needs some upgrades. Mattress was warped and majority of the furniture was chipped. Shower water pressure was very weak. Worst was the smell of human feces on the corner of the warped bed. Would not recommend and would not stay there again.

Not worth the money
Only one of two elevators was working during the two days we were there. The toilet was so low to the ground that it was like squatting. Not great for people with bad knees. But the biggest, most egregious complaint was the breakfast charge. It was NOT directly stated thatvit was NOT complimentary as is usual at most hotels. We were charged a total of $42 for a miserable scoop of scrambled eggs, a few (maybe 15) tiny potato chunks, a sausage, and two small orange juices. We were stunned to be handed a bill. Never again.

Excellent hotel!
We had an excellent stay at the Hilton garden inn Springfield. The hotel was beautiful, very clean, and incredibly comfortable. The room was spacious and had all the comforts we needed including a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The pool and fitness center were wonderful. The breakfast was excellent and worth adding as part of our package. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. It was also wonderful having an Uno's restaurant right in the hotel. Ample free parking was also an important amenity. We would definitely stay here again.
The whole reason for our trip was to visit the basketball hall of fame which is right next door to the hotel. So convenient!

We had a family gathering to attend and this hotel was conveniently located off the highway that took us everywhere we needed to go. The room was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of pillows. Everything worked in the room. It did have a damp feeling in the room but between the summertime heat, ac on cold and proximity to the river we thought that was why. It just had a weird damp feeling to it. The music from Pizzeria Uno was loud the first night but after that we didnt hear it. Our room happened to be on that side, on the third floor. We arrived on a Saturday night so i would expect it to be like that.
It was a good visit. Not sure if i would stay again.

Great Stay
The Hotel was clean, the servers at the breakfast bar were super friendly and quick to get your order. We booked last minute due to a horrible experience at a local inn and we were accommodated and even allowed to have an early check inn. The staff was extremely pleasant, the pool area was clean and the room was clean and comfortable. The Hilton has yet to disappoint us. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Overall this was a nice property. I thought our room could’ve been a little cleaner. Big spacious room with nice amenities. Easy on/off the interstate and really quick walk to the HOF. Ate at the restaurant attached and was pleased. Would stay here again.

When we first went to check on we had to wait for the nice lady to finish her “very important” personal call. It listed a bar in the amenities this is not true you have to walk to uno’s. We went to six flags less than 10 minutes away no shuttle offered. Got back to the hotel that night the maid could not be bothered to clean any of three rooms we rented was pretty disappointed the bed wasn’t made or towels restocked. Watch your bank account while you are there. We got breakfast one morning and paid cash looked at are account they billed it to the room and pocketed the cash. The front desk did take the charge away but I wonder how many people that they scammed that way and didn’t notice. I will not stay here again and don’t recommend it to anyone such a shame because it’s located in a good area.

We traveled from Buffalo to stay at the Hilton for a visit to Basketball hall of fame. The hotel was great staff was very helpful. Mike was extremely helpful and made my stay and experience for us much better when we wanted to watch sports event in our room. Thanks Mike

This hotel sprang a $70 pet fee on us. For as expensive as this night was, the room was not worth it. Hotel is right by the railroad tracks and very hard to get to.

A night away to go to Six Flags
The hotel was perfectly located for us as I was taking my nephews to Six Flags! The beds were hands down the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in at a hotel. Staff was friendly, hotel was clean and my nephews loved the pool and jacuzzi! Would definitely recommend

The staff were excellent. Our room had a broken microwave, a dirty fridge that barely kept things cold. The toilet is dirty and we have to pay $2.00 for a bottle of water. I am very disappointed.

This was a good location for the business classes we were attending due to the proximity to the train station. The hotel was clean, welcoming and well laid out. The only complaint is that we got in late and it would have been nice to have had a complimentary bottle of water in the room instead of the 2 bottles of water set by the coffee telling you to enjoy for free if you are a ranking rewards member - otherwise $2.00.

We stayed in Hilton in Garden in Springfield for our daughter’s graduation at UMass Amherst. The hotel with simply amazing.
The accommodations were great - each room had a microwave in it. If you get a rate that includes breakfast, I highly recommend you get it. You can order from the menu or eat from the buffet - both are included in your rate and the breakfast was fantastic. There is a Pizzeria Uno attached to the hotel, there’s a pool in the hotel and each member of the staff was so helpful and accommodating. One of the best hotels we stayed in a while.

I did not like the misleading website. On the websits it said there is Pay per view options . There was no pay per view so you could not rent a movie. The televisions are so outdated that you can not stream any o movie apps. So if you are a movie buff a d you want to relax and rent a movie ,or atream a movie you can not. Only basic cable was available. I would not have stayed if i k ew this. The website should have been changed this is very misleading. Also you have to pay extra for breakfast.

Was so disappointed as a regular guest at Hilton Garden because of high level of noise from the closest room where kids were kicking ball in the wall. Also, I have been told that breakfast was not included on my stay. When I asked the Manager, he said because I booked through Expedia I have to pay for the breakfast, and He even refused for one-hour late checkout. So disappointed.

Falsely advertised. Ocean view room? In Springfield, MA? Waterfront, yes, but should say River view. Booked thinking we’d be overlooking the River. Knew it was close to the interstate, but if we had a River view, we should have been on the opposite side from the interstate. We were given a corner room, as the booking indicated - however, we were given the interstate corner! Asked to move rooms, was told no. Probably slept a total of 3 hours from the noise. Oh, and there is a train track between the hotel and the river, further adding to the ambiance! We had a late flight coming in from Hartford, and decided on Springfield as a halfway point to our destination. Big mistake. Should have stayed by the airport or kept on driving to our destination. Springfield is a pit of a town, would never stay in this area again.

Overall great hotel experience it was a work trip. I usually book hotels that have food on site because I don’t wanna drive anywhere once I get to the hotel. There is a Pizzeria Uno attached to the property which had great food and service every night mine was a four night stay highly recommend.

Check-in was less than ok. The individual wasn't very friendly. I asked her for a channel guide, and she asked me what TV I had in my room. What difference does that make. I never got 1.
My overall stay was very good but the front desk not so much. The next morning the staff was very good.
But will stay at this hotel again.

EXpedia listed this when I searched with Condition Breakfast Included however Hotel says Breakfast is NOT included. Once Booking is done Expedia does not show anything about whether the rate is inclusive of breakfast or not. This is totally mis leading and fooling the people.

Um mixed stay, the kids really enjoyed the pool and spa. Breakfast was hectic, the first day the did not have enough staff bad food took a very long time, they had run out of coffee etc. second day the had sold out of waffles and pancakes and sausage, so the menu was limited. The channel on the tv were mixed up and not the same as in the paper so took a while to find the kids channel.

Great but could use an extra seat.
Overall it was an excellent experience. My only suggestion would be is for the rooms to offer 2 comfortable chairs for every room. Most people travel in groups of at least 2 and sitting on the bed or office chairs is not comfortable for periods of time longer than a few minutes. Most would enjoy having a comfortable sit for both travel companions but still need an office desk and chair to work from.

Next to basketball hall of fame and useful roads and highways for getting to your destination. Pizzeria Uno next door is nice (did not get a chance to eat there).
The biggest disappointment was that the coffee machine was broken!! AND there were no caffeinated coffee pods--I am thinking this machine has been broken for a while so nobody bothers with the pods.

Highly recommend, especially with kids! Right next to the Basketball Hall of Fame and they loved the indoor pool! Only downfall was breakfast was not included, but the price was reasonable to eat there and the food was good! We travel quite a bit and this was one of the nicest hotels we've stayed at.

Room was very noisy, there being a major highway and railroad tracks outside our window. Bathroom definitely could use some refreshing. Breakfast was expensive for what we got, and service was VERY slow. However, we will likely stay there again just because it is the closest to our son’s home.

Even though I booked and paid for the room through Expedia the hotel charged me again at checkin when asked about this staff stated it was an oversight and would refund me the room fee. This was never done, in the process of a credit card dispute now over this. Also no end of stay receipt was emailed as requested.

This hotel is within walking distance from the casino. We booked for the Big E, it was a 10 min drive. Also, within 10 minutes of lots of activities and good restaurants. Perfect for what we needed. Facilities were clean and comfortable. We were very happy with our stay.

There was rust on the bathroom ceiling, black duct tape on the bathroom counter. The tub was unsafe. Wallpaper peeling in the bedroom. Definitely not what I expected from a Hilton hotel. I will not be staying at a Hilton again in the future.

I thought the location was very convenient for going to the NBA Hall of Fame Museum!
