Apparently this site is going to be torn down to build new high end apartments. Rooms are more like a motel than hotel. On the night of arrival, key access didn't work and front desk wasn't receiving any assistance. Ok for a Sleep and Fly though, as shuttle was courteous and practical.

Friendly, ADA accomodating, great value
Staff were available, hospitable, welcoming, very accomodating, especially around handicapped needs for my parents. We appreciated the handicapped room with walk in shower and shower bench. Thank you! Great value for waikiki!

Wonderful Times in Waikiki
Beautiful location in Waikiki and awesome setup that allows you to perfectly unwind after an adventurous spree on the beautiful island of Oahu. Very friendly staff and while not the most extravagant room design, it definitely served its purpose with a very welcoming sense of home away from home. Scenic views of the downtown architecture from the room were also a great treat to start each day by inviting a piece of paradise into your own room. Would recommend to all

we were there for 12 days. our idea of holiday is to experience the country. we needed a clean and safe place to stay at the end of the day and this place was perfect with reasonable price. for 2 adults and 2 teenagers, the room did the job. beaches are a walk but in hawaii wherever we went during the day we could swim in the ocean so not fussed about the pool or the location of the beach. overall great stay, will stay there again on my next visit. the staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

Overall this hotel was not fancy but it served us well. All of the staff were above average in overall service and friendliness. The location was great - bus stop in front of the hotel $7.00 pass/week but easy walking distance from Waikiki shopping and dining as well as boat excursions. Most importantly it was super quiet! Bed was not the absolute best but totally comfortable. Again simple and no nonsense but overall very good.

Great location. The staff was courteous and always had a smile. The rooms were always cleaned and the property well maintained. It’s a central spot. Near shipping the beaches and all the excursion spots to purchase all the tours around the island. They also have parking, you have to pay for it but it’s worth it.

We weren’t in our rooms much. Bed was comfortable. Coffee was terrible - bring your own! No restaurant, breakfast or lobby coffee/tea. ABC was a block away.

Booked through Expedia for work, but was not able to change reservation to following week without forfeiting total room cost total runaround between Expedia and hotel. Charged for total stay booked even though room went unoccupied. Pathetic.

Great small hotel.
Ramadas location is perfect for the short stroll to Ala Moana shopping centre. The hotel is small and intimate with exceptional staff.
The only down side was the in room air conditioning, it was a tad noisy at times which didn’t assist to a restful sleep.

The Hotel is well situated and access to shops excellent, only real issue is with the elevators, as there is no access to a service elevator, you may have to wait for one or share with service staff, which is slightly annoying.

The staff was friendly but I can’t believe there’s not a place to drink coffee or water after certain hours of the day there’s not a lot to do ..the elevator was taking forever so I wanted to used the stairs and I was not able to because what I understood they where outside oh and there no jacuzzi only a pool

Very convenient location & cheaper parking ($28/day) than most Waikiki hotels. Staff was super nice & helpful. Room was comfortable & well furnished w/small refrig/microwave/iron etc. Our room had no balcony but maybe better to cut down on noise from Ala Moana Bl. We will stay here again for sure.

All the staff were warm, kind, friendly and our room was cozy. The window has a slight crack so we could hear the steady hustle and bustle of Waikiki. My son Matty and I had a wonderful time. The laundry facilities are convenient and reasonably priced.

If you are looking for a decent hotel that’s reasonably priced, this is the place for you. Although not a new or fancy establishment, it is clean and has been kept up well. It was a minimalist experience with only a few amenities, but they have the basics: a small lobby shop, a pool, etc. The bathtub drained slowly, but the air conditioning, the hair dryer, sink, shower, and toilet all worked well. The staff are far from rude, but with the exception of the woman working outside in front of the hotel, the employees were not particularly outgoing to personable. Overall, a great stay for the cost. I would definitely stay again.

Very nice stay. Close to the beach and ABC stores. Close food options left a little to be desired. Parking is tight and limited but do a good job of accommodating guests. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Beds were comfortable and you have a great view of the skyline with peaks of the ocean. Would stay there again..

The staff was amazing and it was well
Decorated and clean. The bed however was very uncomfortable. The mattress was well worn with is rolling into the middle. It needs to be replaced. Backaches every day with uncomfortable pillows. Yes, you go to Hawaii to see the sights, but we didn’t get good rest.

The hotel is a bit older, but fairly clean. Parking is $28/night, which is cheap for Waikiki. The room Air Conditioners vary by room, but ours was a bit lower-end and a bit noisy. Some rooms have newer AC units. The location is fairly good, just half a block from shopping and fast food. Staff was friendly.

Good Choice and Comfortable
This hotel is in a prime location. It's right in front of Hilton Village and the beach is not as busy as the others. There are restaurants near by and the one attached to the hotel offers a tasty choice of korean food. Staff was friendly and kind. The hotel felt safe and secure. Parking was not an issue and they charge one of the lowest compared to other hotels in the area. This hotel is highly recommended.

Not staying there again
When we first visited Honolulu and stayed at the Ramada, it was wonderful. This time around, complete difference. Everything felt old and smelled like dog in our room. We exchanged rooms, and had issues with someone trying to get into our room. Left for the day, and when we returned someone else was in our room and left an item in the bed. Finally had to move to another room in the middle our trip. Also unclear about charging for parking.

The hotel is a little dated but does it's job. Only complaint is the tiny bottles of shampoo and body wash they provide. You definitely have to ask house keeping for more (she was so nice and friendly). This hotel is within walking distance of the beach, Ala Moana Center and has bus stop right in front. Super convenient.

The only gripe I have is the parking. The parking is very very limited. The staff was super super friendly. The property around the area seems a bit out of date but that’s nothing the hotel can’t control. The area is very compact and I understand that it being close to Waikiki. But the area does have some pluses, being food and close to a lot of shops and what not. All in all the stay wasn’t so bad. The room was par at best. I mean the AC was on full blast but I couldn’t even feel it, even with moving the curtain's. But it is what it is.

Our stay at the Ramada Plaza was GREAT! The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was very tidy and the hotel was in walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Easy access to getting out onto the freeway...which is always important to me 😃 I would definately stay at this hotel again! Mahalo Ramada for a wonderful island getaway!

Quiet and clean
Stayed here because it was close to my work (on a work trip) and a good price. The place was very quiet and clean. I am very happy at their eco-friendly policies. The reason I dropped down to 4 stars is I feel the parking was a bit high. Limited outdoor spaces for $28 a day. That being said, i would stay here again.

No parking available in lot. Told to walk at night to a parking structure in an unsafe area. Manager was horrible when I talked to him about it. He basically seemed to have a canned response and said things that I knew were untrue because I experienced them first hand. You really have to be careful in Waikiki, especially at night. Some hotels run out of parking and expect you to walk quite a distance to a parking structure, usually at night. Waikiki is filled with homeless people and has a high crime rate. This area did not feel safe.

This hotel is a sleeper, meaning great location and value and a good option around more expensive hotels, and the staff was outstanding. We stayed here on a short vacation from Vegas. Highly recommended.

Mostly good / Comfortable Stay
I was really pleased when checking in at 12:30 that my room was ready. It was quick and easy. The elevator was near and the hallways were short, which is nice. The room was clean and comfortable. I left a note for 3 shampoos as my hair is long and they were there when I came back later, so that was nice. The only negative thing was the clock automatically went back an hour for daylight savings time. Hawaii doesn't do this! I thought I had 2 hours to shower, dress, and pack and then realized I only had 1 hour! I had to hurry to catch my ride to the airport. I liked the location of this hotel, the easy access with a road in front and back, and friendly staff.

The location of this Ramada is perfect - walking distance to just about anything in the Waikiki area. They have parking, and I use it, but most of the time I walk. The staff are all very pleasant. I have stayed at this hotel 4 times. Onsite laundry and pool. Gene at the front desk is always great!

All of the hotel's staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach. If you decide to ride the bus to other areas as we did, the bus stops are close. The pool was clean and there were plentiful towels out at all times we were out there. Washing machines either run on quarters or through an app which has info posted by the washers. The in room safe, microwave and small fridge were all helpful. All in all, a basic hotel room which checks all the boxes for a safe, clean, comfortable stay.

i left 2 pieces of jewelry in the safe when we left. i called the same day when i realized we had left them. i was not where i could
go back so i was told they would call back
when he talked to cleaner. i got no call back, and have lost 2 very expensive pieces of jewelry that shouldn’t have been a big deal to get to me also front people put us in another hotel cause of problems in this hotel
when they found out we were with family they fixed it so we could stay in same hotel

Good value in Waikiki. Walkable to the beach and area amenities. Parking on site was easy and affordable. AC unit in room was loud and not always effective. View from room, although not of the water, was great - city views and mountains. Building next door was mostly burned down and unsightly. Would stay again.

It has a great location close to the beach and very walkable with a lot of dining choices. While it is on Ala Moana Blvd, it is set back from the street, so the traffic noise is muted. It is within easy walking distance from the Ala Moana Shopping Center and is not too far from Waikiki.
The property does show its age in small ways, but is well-maintained. I love that it has a laundry room for guests , a gym, and a pool even though we weren’t able to take advantage of the last two. My only complaint is that our air conditioner was so loud. I informed the Front Desk about the problem and they had it worked on while we were out. The problem was greatly improved, but it was still so loud that I had to get up in the middle of the night to turn it off.

The only downfall is the AC it keeps on turning on/off maybe it's on the set-up that causes unstable sound ( loud sound) that interrupt our sleep.
But overall the facilities are awesome!

The city bus stop was right in front of the hotel which was very convenient.
The windows are thin, so the street noise comes right through. Air conditioning noisy as well.
Night time side streets felt a bit unsafe.
Some staff were very friendly while some were average.
Hotel is a bit dated, but very clean.
