Staff was incredibly helpful and kind! Loved the coffee shop and The Vault! They were undergoing a lobby renovation during our stay and there’s no on site bar which was the only slight drawback to an otherwise excellent stay in a beautiful room with a fantastic view of the Gardens and city!

Good but not worth the amount that is charged.
It’s definitely a nice hotel and all the employees (give or take a few front desk) are so nice but I expected more for the amount I paid. The water pressure was not great, towels were horrible (so scratchy) and the couch was also uncomfortable. Maybe because I’m not considered one of their higher clientele, I got the brush off when I mentioned the towels and water. Who knows. You’re better off picking the Weston or Fairmont Copley.

The suite was fine, not spectacular, as one expects of the Four Seasons. And this was an upgrade... The television choices were pretty poor. The hotel sent two emails offering "to send a car" to pick us up at the airport which I read literally. Send a car means a ride, yes? What they sent was a limo service that later billed us 143 dollars for a 30 dollar ride. That was disappointing. Had I known I'd not have tipped the driver 50 bucks. On the positive side was the coffee bar in the morning--great staff and treats there--the treats in the lobby in the afternoon, and the generally helpful and responsive staff. All in all, a nice place in a nice neighborhood, in need of some tweaks.

Quiet, well located, and spacious. Wonderful staff. Clean and tidy. Complimentary cafe for breakfast in these challenging times rather welcome and thoughtful. Lovely rain shower but no bathtubs. Toiletries contain sulfates, unfortunately.

Hotel Not Ready
The Four Seasons is just not back to normal. Room service was poor, orders askew and poor service. The front desk could not track down a taxi. It was post-pandemic trouble.

I found the front desk staff non-reliable to address their guests when it comes to booking/arranging amenities/reservations/quotations etc. I had a bad experience when I asked for arranging car services where morning staff said something that evening staff completely found it false information, where they book me a rental car where the rental agency had no knowledge of, etc. They told me “I am sorry” times and times without comforting me in and way.

The hotel should not carry Four Season name as it’s totally off brand . There is another Four Season in Boston which is modern , nicely furnished and with updated facility and in room dining. This hotel is plain horrible . Bad service, daters decor and archaic food menu. No room servise after8pm!? Overall very bad experience

Staff were very friendly and very helpful. The food in the Bristol was fine but nothing exceptional but overall the Bristol was a very nice place to have a coffee during the day or have drinks in the evening. Great hotel in a very convenient location - right next to a subway stop - and with a very nice view of the park just across the street.

SUPERB hotel in the heart of Boston
An absolutely fantastic stay at the Four Season while in Boston. From check in to check out, everyone was so professional and the hotel is absolutely beautiful. The pool and spa area was also nice. I didn't want to leave when it was time to go. I can't wait to get back to this hotel.

Not very good
I’ve stayed in 5+ luxury hotels all over the world, this 4 seasons doesn’t compare. There is no bottled water when u arrive, no fruit, or welcome card. There was one bathrobe in closet, I couldn’t find the 2nd one, called housekeeping they said it was folded in bathroom under sink commode. He promised me it was there so while rummaging around the commode the entire piece of furniture fell on my legs, bruised, cuts, welts. I finally found bathrobe, it was folded the wrong way and looked just like the towels which were arranged in the same place. Why not hang both bathrobes in the closet. Housekeeping told me guests often can’t find the 2nd bathrobe. When I checked out the next day my focus was to let them know they had to fix the commode so no one else gets hurt (I was able to lift it and push it back in, it’s diy furniture). I couldn’t finish a sentence without being interrupted with excuses as to why this happened, what their bathrobe policy is, how great their furniture is, etc. Finally the manager came over, I explained to her....she wanted my info which she already had and for me to call them for an incident report. I already told them the problem, fix the commode! I left realizing she never offered anything to me so I went back and told her she should deduct our onetime room service charge. She did, too bad she (the manager) didn’t come up with that. Next night I stayed at the Boston Harbor Hotel and previously stayed at Mandarin Oriental, they r both far superior.

They have a beautiful indoor pool deck and gym on the 8th floor. The room service was excellent. The housekeeping service was excellent . My only complaint is that the Sunday brunch was way overpriced.

My birthday trip!
I just celebrated my birthday here. It was the best because the staff really work hard to make sure you are taken care of. I lost a glove and mentioned it to the front desk. It was delivered to my room 3 hours later. It was an amazing feat of service.

Room was not available for 3:00 PM check in. Room became available at 4:00 PM The bottle of champagne I requested to be delivered at 4PM did not arrive until we left the hotel for dinner at 6P. Unable to celebrate the 55th anniversary of our first date in 1963. Got back to the hotel around 12:30AM and the champagne was sitting in melted ice (room temp). Big disappointment for a special night

Luxury hotel in a great location
The Four Seasons has a well-deserved reputation as a luxury brand, and its Boston venue fully lived up to it. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was very comfortable and kept spotless. The in-room dining menu was a little limited, but very tasty. The decor of the hotel, though again faultlessly neat and tidy, did seem a little tired. The location was ideal for the US’s walking city, and a great base from which to explore a beautiful place.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Four Seasons in Boston. It was clean, amenities were great, and the staff was friendly and very resourceful. A special thank you to the Hotel Manager, Christopher Werth and his staff as they made sure our stay was perfect. Not only were we upgraded from Executive Suite to Presidential Suite, we were even offered to refrigerate our left over food so we could enjoy our last day in the city worry free as we had already checked out of the hotel. We were offered cold water bottles for the road ahead when leaving the valet. The service was everything you would expect of a Four Seasons hotel. I would highly recommend this establishment to co-workers, friends and family.

When we checked in, the room view was not equiavalenf to the room description on expedia. The front desk manager, Lily, went above and beyond to find a more suitable room to our liking. Her hospitality was first class and left a lasting impression. The next day staff called to follow up that all was well and whether they could assist further during our stay. Great hotel in front of the park. Conveniently close to shopping area. Not too far from business districts. Amazing personnel - doing magic with whatever they have at hands... Rooms good overall, just too old facilities in bathrooms - require renovation - old stuff Amazing Sunday breakfast buffet, but on regular days - food is disappointing - like regular hotel food - over baked, over oiled Good gym and horrible 200 year old pool primarily designed for less able people Great view from the pool area though, if it matters.... I vaguely remember how Ritz looks like in Boston - i think still Four Seasons is better, which makes it despite everything above , the best hotel in Boston Also remember, they are not used to foreigners there in Boston, you have to speak up , use very simple words and gesture where possible

Great hotel except for the AC isn't that great.
The staff and the hotel itself was amazing. The only issue we had was that the rooms would not cool off very well. The temp outside was in the upper 80's which isn't blazing hot, however our room would not cool off. Maintenance took a look and said nothing was wrong, so the manager switched us to an upgraded room with a separate bedroom with hopes it would be cooler. They even brought in two fans to help, which it did. Very good customer service to make us happy, but just be aware that overall the AC isn't the best in the hotel.

Pros: too many to list. Cons: they don’t accept walk in same day reservations, good for hotels.com. Also coffee table in the living room is made out of glass and it’s hard to see at night, when we walked from bedroom to the bathroom, we hit our knees few times.

City setting, walking easy across the street.
Walked to nearby African American museum, even tho cold, we enjoyed that. Easy to get to Newbury St. for interesting shops and windows. Close to a theater for evening performance. The hotel made us feel special on our 60th anniversary. Many good restaurants nearby.

best services you can find in Back Bay area.
I have stayed in four seasons in the past for short trips and always loved it. it's a good brand and has good customer services. great location and great staff I must add here. This time I have stayed longer than what I normally have so I discovered something that I haven't in the past: the House Car services. the idea is to take the hotel guests to near by places; however, I was let down by how unavailable the house car it was. We were there for 5 days this time, but unable to use the services at all due to it's availability. If I am not mistaken, they only have either one or two cars, and it's based on first come first serve. so it never worked out for us as each time when we are ready to take advantage the car services, it's either 20 or more mins to wait so we ended up either walked or Uber-ed. so I do have to say I was very disappointed by this "house car services."

Rooms Don’t Feel Like Four Seasons
Spent about 750 per night for two rooms, each. The front desk, staff, service, food are Four Seasons. The rooms themselves are Marriott. Not bad but not what you would expect from the Four Seasons.

Wonderful weekend at the Four Seasons
We were in Boston for parents weekend for our college daughter. I've stayed in a number of hotels in the area and this is by far the best. Completely lived up to the Four Seasons name. The service was outstanding, the room looked brand new and the bed was so comfortable. Location is fantastic too! We had room for a rollaway so our daughter could comfortably stay with us...the rollaway was so comfortable my husband slept on it instead of her!

World Class Hotel
From the moment we arrived and were greeted warmly by the doormen, through to reception, the Four Seasons experience began. They knew us by name and greeted us as we left and returned to the hotel over several days. When my young son told Joe the Concierge that we had been on the Swan Boats, Joe found a copy of the children's book for us to read that evening. Despite being close to so many restaurants in the Back Bay, The Bristol was a frequent choice for us. The varied and excellently prepared offerings, and the convenience, won us over. A table by the window entertained our young sons and offered a beautiful backdrop to our meal. Our suite overlooking the park was spacious, excellently appointed, stylish, and with unbeatable views of the Public Gardens and the Commons. In conclusion, our stay was what every traveler would hope for: our needs anticipated, our requests quickly and cheerfully fulfilled, room maintenance impeccable, and a hotel filled with happy staff who knew our name. A home away from home. All this is in the most convenient location in the Back Bay.

Amazing hotel!
I just got back from staying here and couldn't recommend this hotel enough. I stayed in a suite with a garden view. I booked online so really didn't understand what "garden view" meant until I saw it in person. It's a room with a view of the Boston Public Gardens which are some of the oldest botanical gardens in the United States. What a VIEW! We booked 2 suites that were connecting so we had enough room with a toddler to allow everyone to stretch their legs. The single suite is very spacious. The bedroom for the suite has a huge TV, probably at least 55" so it's like a theater experience in the bedroom alone. The room was updated and beautifully done. The living room had a large TV as well as a couch that I believe could fold out to a bed. The hotel is centrally located near everything downtown and about 10 minutes from the airport. I used the concierge on several occasions from shipping items back home and they even found me some incredible last minute tickets to a sold out Sox game. They really go above and beyond here! Room service was amazing - every meal we ordered was tasty. I have zero complaints about this hotel. I would say everyone here was tremendously helpful and accommodating. It might be one of my favorite Four Seasons Hotels thus far. I would guess if there was any downsides, there is no gift shop so they didn't have things you could buy there for certain conveniences. Best Place to Stay in Boston historical area!
Best service my family has ever received! Beats Ritz-Carltons! Everyone referred to us by name making us feel welcomed and important. The Bristol's menu was perfect especially with fresh seafood and fabulous steaks. The bar was comfortable and high standard of service like we experienced throughout .

First time in Boston with my family to visit cousins. The hotel was like a second home. Making us feel so comfortable and accommodating kids of all ages. We had a fantastic lunch by the pool. The staff was helpful and understanding. Great location!
