Not the best customer service. Sent us up to someone else’s room. The floors you could literally slide across in the room, the light in the bathroom stopped working at one point, and drain for the sink would not open.

Definitely not as pictured in lobby and to the rooms. Room was decent. Room service tried coming in to clean the room at 9:30 with no warning glad we had the extra latch put on as we were in the middle of getting showered and dressed for the day.

We had a room in the first floor which looked into an alleyway. It was not comfortable but the front desk person gave us another room that made our stay very enjoyable. It made our night before the cruise memorable.

The only good thing was the location of property—the proximity to the beach, restaurants and transportation. As well as housekeeping and front desk—which did a great job. Other than that, everything else was terrible. The hotel is old and outdated, and lacks amenities. First, the room was small, it had only the bed (lower bed), a closet and a mini fridge; no chair, no desk, no mirror. Second, there was a problem with the door—I had to lift and push it hard in order to close, and—besides that—there was a gap so I could hear people in and out and even inside their rooms. It felt like someone entered in my room. It was a lot of noise until late midnight. Third, phone wasn’t working: it was old and disconnected same as blow dryer. Additionally, there was a coffee machine with no coffee, and when I asked the front desk, I was told that I have to pay for the coffee. I travel a lot but this was the first hotel that doesn’t offer free coffee!!! There were other issues, too, such as elevator going out of service for a day and a half, and constructions in the lobby and around the building. Overall, the hotel—the first boutique hotel I have ever stayed—was overpriced; you don’t get what you pay!!! And, it needs major renovations. The reasons why I picked this hotel were good reviews, surprisingly! I wouldn’t recommend!

The first room we were checked into did not have any locks on the sliding door and the main door was impossible to lock as well. We were then moved to another room which had a window that would not close, which was unsafe. the 3rd room was safe and clean to stay

Run down building with obvious water damage, slow elevator, and the tiniest pool I’ve ever seen. No idea how it has as high a rating as it does or is as expensive as it is. Staff did accommodate an early check in but then tried to force us to take a room up a flight of stairs with two babies in strollers and a weeks worth of lugggage. We waited another 20-30 minutes for a different room to be cleaned.

Would not recommend.
The staff was very helpful, but the room and property itself is an whole other issue. The BR tv did not work, the shower had no hot water, and the beds were placed a foot or two off the floor. Also, the hotel's sole elevator looked like something from a B horror movie about a haunted hotel.

I loved the location!! Staff was great!! My bed had clean sheets!! . My only issue is the smell that carpet needs to go it smells the whole hotel! Its very moldy . I suffer from allergies i could never stay there again unfortunately. Unless you change carpeting and get rid of the smell . Im only writing this review so you will take care of this issues and get better business because location is great and staff!.

Overall, our stay at this hotel was satisfactory. We chose this hotel as it was budget friendly, had the basics we were looking for and it was located in a good area near the south beach action. This is what we got.
Positives:
Staff were very friendly
Beds very comfortable
Hotel was clean
Location close to beach, food, shopping
Shower was spacious with good pressure
Negatives:
Walls were paper thin- we could hear everything at all hours of the day/night
Upkeep needs to be refreshed- paint peeling off walls, stains on cabinets and fabric etc
Was hard to find front desk agents at times, had to wait until someone arrived
Pool is tiny and if you go you are surrounded by people eating at the outdoor restaurant

Booked this hotel for a friends birthday and was disappointed, the hotel is very misleading and when you check in it’s extra fees added that you have to pay for before even checking into your room
The elevator was very slow moving and makes weird sounds while on it
When you walk into the rooms it smells like mildew or some sort of odor and the smell stayed in the room the whole time being there
The WiFi and tv service is very slow so don’t expect to watch any tv cause it probably won’t play
The rooms and the website pictures do not match each other so be prepared for that
Also it’s on like two plugs in the room area so if you have multiple things to plug up it’s a task just to do that
They say they have a pool but the pool looked real dirty and dry and only had a little bit of water in it
The restaurant that’s connected to the hotel is nasty and overpriced

The location of the hotel is ideal but there are a few issues that we encountered that are important to know before you go. One issue was the music being played in the restaurant/pool area. It played very loudly, to the point that it rattled items in our room. We called at 9:30pm to see if it would get turned off (they turned it off at that time) but it started again the next morning at 7:30am. But the bigger issue is that while we were still in bed someone tried to access our room. They had a key card, but we had the security arm closed so they could come all the way in. We informed the desk and they didn't seem all that concerned. My teenaged daughter was scared and upset that but the staff didn't seem concerned.

When we got to the room there were ants everywhere including in the bed It was horrible, the bathroom had mold around the plastic of the shower and the shower was for handicap when we are not handicap but it was disgusting, the bed was dirty, no the sheets i am talking about the bed frame around, the patio door was hard and we almost could not close it, not coming back.

The Clinton hotel wasn’t what I was expecting, but I was actually surprised…it’s small but very well located in south beach the beds are super comfortable, huge shower and the hotel is very clean

Staff is kind and welcoming. Plenty of food options in the area and 5min walk to the beach. Room was very nice and i will be staying again. Only downsides are the elevator is tiny so take the stairs if small spaces bother you, and the walls are very thin but i slept great each night.

The hotel was very clean, rooms are exactly as shown in the pictures. Double room can fit 4 people but it’s gonna be a tight space. If your an explorer you’ll only be there to sleep!!

Great location, great hotel!!
The hotel overall was great, with walking distance to the beaches, nightlife and restaurants. The rooms are small as most are in south beach, the hotel has a pool but it’s fairly small. My only issue was I was trying to extend my stay and they couldn’t transfer over my deposit to the new room.

The location of this hotel is good for tourists since there’s local restaurants and beach within walkable distance. It also has parking garage nearby (about 5min walk) so if you rented a car you can park there (1day fee was like $20) I like how the room has little more room for sitting area and spacious bathroom, but very disappointed after we found several roaches in the room. We saw couple on the wall, my friend found few baby roaches in her cosmetic pouch, and even in the bed. I was also wondering why we only had 2 towels when we first check in because we booked a room for 4, so we ended up had to ask for towels couple times. The staffs were friendly but the towels we got I found some makeup stains too…

The location was perfect. The Hotel was clean and the front desk staff was really nice and helpful. It's within walking distance of some great entertainment which was a plus. This will definitely be my go-to hotel when I am in town.

The original room we were put in the deadbolt did not work so they put me in another room where the deadbolt did not work and they just left me there nothing they could do about it. There was mold growing in the shower. The stairwell was musty and smelled dirty

The property had roaches in the room we called they said they’ll come remove him out of the room they wouldn’t switch his rooms the TV didn’t work for two days in the room there’s no wash cloth the Wi-Fi was down someone walked in our room with their room key so it’s unsafe will not be back stay away

the power went out entirely for the property in the middle of the night, which means, yes, AC too. It was unbearably hot in the hotel, elevators didn't work (they already were very creaky), the staff were very kind. But other than that the hotel is very mediocre. However, if you're looking for a budget stay -- not terrible as you get what you pay for and the bathroom was nice, the bed comfortability wasn't bad at all, and the pool (although small) is very cute and quaint.

Cleaners were rude, coffee maker was broken, cleaning service was ok, different staff give different answers everytime you ask a question, we loss power for 3 hours and they claimed it a city thing but everyone else had power, ran out of wash cloths.

The hotel is great as well as the place. However, the lady in the front desk is not welcoming, she has a grumpy face. We checked in at around 10pm. I smiled and said hello to her as soon as I entered the lobby, but she was grump. And a Front Desk Agent myself knows how to value our guests and to leave a good impression. Even though the place is great and very convenient, excellent customer service is still important.

The hotel was great for what it was...a place to stay until it was time to go on my cruise. I like that it looked like an old hotel in the middle of so many more modern places.
There wasn't a lot of communication between myself and the staff. For those that I spoke to, they were nice. Called me old fashion, but I like to be greeted by people in either a uniform or well dressed. The cleaners/maids wore whatever as well.
The pool was SMALL and the layout was,,,tight, for lack of a better word. I did not attempt to enter the pool.
The carpet in the hall stunk! I was on the second floor. You can smell whatever cleaner they were using on the rug, on top of the mildew smell.
The room was a nice size. I was happy to not see carpet on the floor. The bathroom was nice as well except for the low to moderate pressure in the shower. And the "clean" stained towel. It was changed for me the next day, but with much confusion. The cleaners did not speak English.
The bed was comfortable. The only thing I would change is the velvet bed frame. I thought about what particles may be festering in the fabric.
The hotel is near everything! That was a plus!

I would try to avoid this property specially because of their cleanliness. Bathrooms were not properly cleaned. No bathmat, no hand towels, no face towels. Missing all the basic amenities. No hot water as well.

Weekend get-away
Everything was wonderful. The front desk people were great. The only thing is that the bed was a little hard so my husband and I had a little bit of back pain. But overall, a great experience.

What I liked most was it was close to the beach n shopping areas

The hotel looks NOTHING like the pictures posted online. The rooms are basic and dirty. Our first room was not vacuumed, there was hair on the floors, the bathroom smelled bad, it only had one bath towel for a room with two beds. Our second room was worse in the sense that we had a bug problem. The furniture had really small bugs crawling all over. When we complained they sent someone to bug spray the furniture, they said sorry and left.
They are very stingy with their towels. Beach towels are available but they charge you $25 if you don’t bring them back to the front desk. The hotel also charges a $100 USD deposit upon check in which is not mentioned on the Expedia website when booking. The $30 a day resort fee is a joke here because nothing was cleaned, the service was below average, and the bugs!!! To top it all off, I got COVID. Never staying here again.

Only concern was that there seemed to be some spots of mole in the bathroom ceiling due to water damage from taking a shower and the condensation on the ceiling Start would sometime trickle / drip down on you as your drying off, and I would have to go back in the shower to rinse it off

Good location but the hotel is old and outdated. The hallway leading to the rooms is very dirty. Carpet needs to be replaced ASAP.
Rooms were ok, we found a few small bugs and wifi did not reach our room.

This place didn’t have an operating elevator the entire stay of 5 days. Also the biggest complaint I have they didn’t give but 2 towels and we had 4 guest for a double bed room. They never had enough towels even when we ask they were out. The owners should complete pest control inspection the bugs are bad too.

Infested with cockroaches, black mold on the ceilings, damp rooms and had the Ozone air sanitation machine running upon check in to our new room. Very hazardous with ozone machine on and mold, was told to just “take the risk” for the night until they can find us a third room to switch into. The elevator was broken and poor ventilation in rooms. Angel at the front desk was very helpful, despite all of the inconveniences, she tried to help. We got no refunds for the trouble and was instead only compensated for breakfasts and waived the resort fees. Would never stay here again, and advise anyone to avoid staying here at all costs.

I repeat what works and the Clinton has always had all I need: an affordable and convenient place to shower and lay my head. The staff was once again very helpful and even didn’t charge me for a special request that allowed me to more fully enjoy my south beach experience.

The property is not clean. The pool is open to the public and people going to the attached restaurant take up all the space by the pool. They charged a $30/day resort fee of which we couldn’t use any of the facilities. The area is not the best and I thought staying away from ocean drive it would be more chill, it is not. Very disappointed.

I was trying to find a property close by the beach and reasonable. The hotel was close by but it smelled. One of my rooms smelled like water and mold. The light didn’t work in the bathroom. I had bugs crawling on the lamp in my other room and the shower kept backing up. The receptionist Angel switched both rooms.
When we received our (2) new rooms. The tv wouldn’t work in one of the rooms and bugs were crawling on the lamp again. In room 413.
In room 210 this room smelled like water and mold as well.
