The smell of sewer was so strong. We staying on the 6th floor in the towers. It was awful. Every time i walked back in our room i got a headache. Didnt seem safe to be breathing that in. Paid over $180/night.

Great hotel! Downfall was the layout. It wasn't very convenient to an elevator. It was difficult to find our room. We enjoyed the Sports lounge, the coffee shop, the hotel shuttle and our room. Sadly we werent able to experiece the pool area or resturant.

It was very nice and quiet and pool was clean.
Pool was quite chilly water.
Was very disappointed that being a child oriented hotel, they did not have any dining option open for under 21 in the evening. Website we couldn't get to work to even see a menu to order something to pick up and no paper menu available at the front desk. Had to order KFC using uber eats. Our granddaughter was very disappointed.

Most unexpected experience- when it comes to hygiene- and having urine and hairs not only on the toilet seat but in the bed as well! On the way from lobby to our room there was so much garbage and the smell was so awful; like rotten eggs!
- my son has seizers and we left with him feeling very sick; my little boy said he felt “dizzy” and his “head hurt”
we believe jt was from the strong smell of chlorine. That lingered in our room.
It was so bad that both my husband and myself felt sick.
I called for a refund but apparently because I called after we left. I called Expedia and because the hotel denied my request- Expedia was not able to issue me the proper refund - I have instead taken the proper steps to report this property.
After reading many reviews, from what I have discovered it seems not only I have had an issue with the property- many others have as well! It is my hope this comes to an end! and does not continue for the sake future guests- and families.

You're petty much just paying for a nice pool. There is no continental breakfast, just a restaurant that charges $20 a person for the buffet. The Room just sub par and the bathroom door hit the toilet every time you opened it. Not horrible but definitely not worth what they charge for the stay.

mixed reviews. Some things ok. Some not so good.
My wife and I stayed for a weekend. The hotel layout is very confusing. There is a lot of backtracking, going up and down stairs and elevators to get to our room. In the end we figured out if we just cut through the pool area and take the stairs we could save 10 minutes off getting from the lobby to our room. The bathroom is extremely tiny. It took nearly 10 mintues to get hot water for our shower. The water pressure was the poorest I have ever experienced in a hotel room. There are no usb ports in the guest room. Wi-Fi is spotty at best. Bed was rock hard. The food in the restaurant was good. The atmosphere in the lounge was festive and fun. The guest laundry was not operable.

We were very disappointed in the room and service. We had a 2 Queen pool view room that was clearly designed for two full beds. Add the oversized night stand, table with two chairs crowded in at the foot of one bed to avoid the door to the balcony, a desk and chair, the behemoth microwave/refrigerator/tv cabinet and there was limited space for 4 people to move around. Housekeeping came about 9:00 before everyone had finished showering and never returned.

Crappy room
Toilet wasn’t working properly. The chain kept falling off, I tried fixing it several times and when it did work the plunge ball wouldn’t cover the hole all the way so I had to open the back of the tank and center it. I had to do that around 15 times before complaining and getting a different room. We were down for a graduation so are time in the room wasn’t all day thankfully but very frustrating. The bathroom wall behind the toilet was caving in, most likely from water. The door to the bathroom barely latched and basically was all warped from water as well. We stay there once to twice a year but this is probably are last. I realize it takes some time to get things updated but this room was way past that time.

Enjoyed our stay. Check in was fast and seamless. Bar in the pool area a nice touch. Felt rushed by housekeeping knocking and attempting to enter the room at 10:15 and again at 10:30.

Great pool area
We were staying in Fargo for a hockey tournament and came u a day early because f bad weather forecasted. They were able to get us a room and although they couldn't get us the same room we had for the rest of the weekend they were very accommodating. They were able to get us our room the next day fairly quickly and hours before check in so that we could get our stuff into our new room. The staff was all very friendly and nice. It's definitely a busy place so if you don't like that sort of thing be prepared for that, especially on the weekends. We were able to have a table in the pool area and hang out as a group, play cards while the kids played the many things they had on hand - yard jenga, life size connect four, ping pong, air hockey, etc...... Very fun place for our fun hockey weekend!!!

Great Employees, terrible hotel
The pool was very dirty and cold. To elaborate, the pool water was opaque and unpleasantly cold. The walls are paper thin, so we heard our neighbors talking plainly. Many kids were running freely without any supervision. They knocked on many doors and sprayed “fart spray” into open doors and in the hallway. The toilet was not secure (wobbly) and the bathtub had rust and rust stains.
Every employee was exceptional and great.

Everything was great except for the spring/mattress on the fold out sofa in our room. It was absolutely horrendous. Not even usable. Check it out in room 2214 and I’m sure you’ll agree.

The bathroom is tiny - felt very clastrophic as the door does not open all the way - it hits the tub/shower and the toilet is so close to the vanity, only 1 person is able to get ready in the bathroom with the lights; our tub must have recently gotten a 'rebath' setup because when you step into the tub, there is like an airbubble the is between the bottom of the new tub and the old tub, which does fill with water - so it was a very werid feeling to be stepping on a pillow filled with water.

The location is great, close to mall, restaurants. Waited 15 minutes to check in, asked if I needed wristbands and didn’t give them to me. Really, really long walk from lobby, pool, and lounge to our rooms. So long a friend with knee issues skipped hot tub because of the distance. Bathroom toilet was broken first time tried to use and had broken part that housekeeping must have known about. Left personal item behind and no one is getting back to me. Won’t be back.

For the size of the hotel, there clearly wasn’t enough staff. Check in was busy and there was a wait. The pool area was shockingly too small!! Not enough chairs and tables. People were packed in the hot tub like sardines! The restaurant in the evening had one waitress!! And we didn’t even have breakfast because there was a line all the way out to the bathrooms for hours!!

My kids love staying at this hotel because of the fun pool. I enjoy the comfortable beds. Great service. My only complaint was that I didn't realize I couldn't use my tax exempt status if I book through Travelocity.

It has been awhile since I was amazed at the service in a hotel. From checking in at the front desk, to the pool attendants to the housekeeping staff, bartenders, etc. This was top notch! Keep up the great work Holiday Inn.

False advertising of amenities,
I specifically a room in this hotel because every bit of their advertising said that they had room service-untrue. Also the menu the restaurant did have was so small in options to order, we had to go off-site to eat. There was also a couch advertised in every picture that showed the room that I reserved-untrue. I was recovering from surgery while I stayed at this hotel. Not having room service was a very big deal for I and my husband. Not having a couch was a very big deal. Very unhappy with our stay.

Not worth the money
For almost 700.00 cdn for two nights. Definitely not worth it. Had to run the water for almost 10 minutes in order to get any hot washed water. Second day we left the room so the cleaning ladies had time to make the bed and what not. Returned later in the evening to find the room wasn’t touched.

This hotel is not in good condition. It smells bad throughout, frankly. The pool is massively busy (which is fine) but no rules are enforced. Hallways noisy late into the night. It was like a damn frat party in the whole place

It was very disliking that the pirate ship was down. It had a lot of people in it but it's because every where else was also booked. We expected the pool to be a little warmer and up to date! :) otherwise the stay was good.

Very dirty, and very disappointed
My family and I have stayed here for events for around 10 years, we love the pool and the location. I splurged on a room for us to have a Stay-cation as a christmas present to my daughter and husband to break the winter blues. But this time around was one of the worst hotel stays I've ever had. The first room we had was so dirty that I requested a new room- something I've never done before. The staff was prompt in getting us a new room, which appeared cleaner. Until my daughter got a large shard of glass stuck in her foot in the bathroom. Luckily, stitches weren't needed. We did get a late check out, but when house keeping knocked on my room in the AM, I was in the bathroom luckily clothed, because before I could even say anything a man opened the door to my room and tried to enter, which was really upsetting. I'm grateful this hotel got sold to another company, because upgrades are in dire need.

The hotel is aging. My shower didn’t drain fast and I had water over my ankles. Bartenders were sort of rude in the lounge. Definitely could have had more staff in there for having a large convention. The meal was better than years past.

Our stay was okay. The staff was all very nice and helpful. Rooms are dated and small which made it difficult traveling with children. I think improvements in housekeeping could be made. We had four people in our room and had three towels and one wash cloth along with only 2 cups in the room for water. There was no where to put your hand towel, it just needed to stay on the counter. No hot water for 15 minutes. Also housekeeping didn’t come to our room but that could be because of the holiday. It would have been nice to be told that at check in. Whenever we needed something the staff was very helpful though.

I had an awesome experience at holiday inn fargo, right from check in to check out, extremely professional and friendly
The room had a beautiful view and the bed was so comfy, the toiletries were exclusive- i travel a lot and in a long time had not seen such good quality toiletries)
The breakfast was yummy and the staff very warm and smiling.
I look forward to staying there again.

The pirate ship is way small. The pool area was cold. Every little kid had blue lips. We bought a card to play games. None of them worked. We could hear every conversation from the next room over. So we won’t be returning. And we like little family areas like that.

family weekend
We asked for a pool side room and thoughtvwe had paid for one. We did not get one. We had five rooms and they were scattered throughout facility.
My daughters room had a plugged drain in bathtube, she fixed herself. Our thermastad was in need of batteries, my husband took care of this so we got heat in room.
On a great note our waitress was fantastic for our family gathering.

Great place to bring the family.
This hotel seemed very nice to me. Simple breakfast menu but included my fav, Eggs Benedict. Very good. This is an excellent family hotel. Get a room with on ground floor with separate entry to the very nice pool area. Very kid friendly but nice for adults as well.

Hotel is starting to show its age with a lot of wear and tear. The hallway walls were marked up in our section, as well as the carpet was worn. Our hotel room itself seemed to be dated, other than a few pieces of furniture that looked new. Kids loved the pool section, though part of the "ship" had pieces missing. All the food we ordered was excellent, and the hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

Front entrance was very nice, however after yhat things are downhill. Room was very dated and smelled like stale water and musty. The shower never got warm so for 2 days we took tepid showers. For almost 400.00 for the weekend we would have ecpected more. We stay in Fargo often....I dont think we will be staying here again.

Nice trip
The doors we had to use kept locking on us, so it was hard to get in and out of the building. Only one elevator seemed to work at a time. Laura at front desk was was absolutely amazing. Overall not bad.
