The property was located in a perfect area, we were walking distance from a lot of popular places.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a little incident overnight and they helped us resolve it in a timely matter.
I would definitely stay here again.

The property is lovely and convenient with in and out parking. Clean, comfortable but some clientele a bit noisy. We did complain about being sandwiched between two boy party rooms which was extremely well handled by the front desk and security. I recommend this well run hotel.

Restaurant is not open enough hours. Parking lot prices between upper and lower were unfair, especially if you were handicap. Lower parking dirty where garbage cans are. Snacks too expensive.

The front desk staff were so friendly and polite. They always had a smile and a wave and asked if your stay was enjoyable. Very hospitable! The restaurant staff at The Fork was also very hospitable. The waitress in the morning was so friendly and she worked hard!! She always made herself personable and took time to get to know us and our itinerary. Was a great place to stay with a family! Would definitely recommend!

Relatively close to all things touristy in the area. Either an easy 15-20 minute walk or 5-10 minute drive to the attractions. No complaints whatsoever regarding the room. All of the staff were very helpful and patient during check in and check out time!

Paid way too much for room due to Taylor swift concert in town. Rooms small and area under construction. Asked for price comparison as price of room night of check in was $260 less. A huge group of women from a sorority was staying at the hotel. They were incredibly rude and were partying in the hallway and their rooms until after 3AM. Despite calls to the front desk to ask them to speak to these other guests about their noise level, the party continued.

Hotel is literally right off the highway. There’s a SpotHero parking lot right in front of the hotel that was only $13 for overnight parking and is well lit. We can keep an eye on our vehicles from our room. Can’t beat the convenience factor here!

The blond front desk lady charged me $120 deposit, although it said on the site its $100. İ got $100 back after checked out, but not $20. İ see on my transaction history that $20 charge. İ called hotel and the person said the deposit is $100, she doesn't know why i got $120 charge.
And i know.
When i entered hotel that blond woman was smoking outside. Then she came in and i was looking for cash in my bag. Literally there was no one, and she asked: are you ready? İn an impatient voice. And i was obviously not ready. She was bothered that i distracted her from smoking and taking 2 minutes making her wait. İt bothered me, i traveled 5 hours by bus with my kid. and yes after she showed impatience i wasn't willing to smile and answer her unnecessary questions. Like why are you traveling. Don't you just see person is tired, not in the mood to talk?!
Then she charged me $120. And i saw it after i came up to my room. İ thought it's ok. Up until now. İ see she simply decided to steal it from me.

Conveniently located to my business needs, this property has very nice staff and little else to recommend. The furniture built around the bed cut off access to all outlets except the bathroom and one across the room shared with the refrigerator. Ridiculous! And, after letting the water run more than 10 minutes I had to take cold showers. The area is under construction and there was an abundance of garbage on the street I had to use as an alternate to walk to the client site. I won't stay here again.

Delayed room availability
We had to wait for over an hour for a room. The front desk staff was friendly and I realize they were not to blame. There were not clean rooms. We had plans and needed to shower and leave the hotel by 7pm. We were not able to get into our room until 415. This pressed us for time. The room was nice and very clean. The only issue was the delay in clean rooms. There were a lobby full of people waiting.

I like that we were surrounded by stores and food places wouldn’t have to go far and I didn’t like that staff didn’t tell me it would be a $50 deposit so when I got there to pay it was a total different price then when explained I wasn’t told the $50 deposit I can pay card and cash then he tried to add another $250 plus what I had to pay which was $293 I did not pay I felt like customer service wasn’t Thorough about the hotel policy and I would never plan a reservation in Chicago all they try to do is get over on people. And the man at the front desk was rude and nonchalant

Lamentablemente la remodelacion es un poco molesto. Al llegar ahi nos encontramos con la sorpresa q no estaba disponible la alberca cosa q no se nos informo. Espero q pronto terminen de arreglar el Hotel y nos encantaria hospedarnos con Usteds nuevamente utilizando todos sus servicios.

Very clean, and bed was very comfortable. Hotel is convenient to public transportation. The hotel is under construction, and I didn't know that prior to arrival. Construction noise started at 7 am on a Saturday. 2 outlets didn't work. I carried the coffee maker around until I found a working outlet.

Dont do it!!! Its condemned
The hotel is condemned, they only utilized the 2nd floor. We ended up leaving and staying elsewhere and they offered us no form of compensation, just an I'm sorry and thats its not their job to notify Hotels.com when things happened to their property. It was boarded up, no entrance door, we went through a side door, the restaurant was boarded up.

Amazing staff. Renovations ruined my stay
Staff were amazing. Services were amazing. The only issue was that there was renovation during my stay. My first night was brutal. Someone decided to work overnight and i got minimal sleep. It did not happened the rest of my stay, so I guess someone took care of it. However, lots of noise during the day, and was very difficult to take a nap.
Lucky for me, i was working during the day, but heard the noise whenever i go back to the hotel for lunch.
This place will be amazing after the renovation.

This Hotel for the price was to over price. The condition was not great at all. This place is being remodel. Once we check in and went to our room. The noise was horrible. I had ask the lady in front desk to please not to give us a room by where they were working. She didn’t even bother about my request. HUGE NO NO, in this hotel. Was they did not have staircase available for the guest. I don’t use elevators, I asked the front desk lady and she told me that, it was going to be a hassle, because they had to have someone open the stairs door for me. In other words. She didn’t want to. That’s a huge safety hazard. In case of a fire or any emergency.

Motel 6 with a fancy name
Check-in was easy. Woman at the desk was pleasant. Upon entering our suite was when our experience went downhill. We reserved the room for 3 people, but there were only towels enough for 2. That was fixed after a quick discussion with the desk clerk. Also, there was no safe in the room. I think the last time i stayed in a hotel without a safe was back in the days when i could only afford to stay at Motel 6! Seriously, we are in a hotel, downtown, where there is construction going on in the floors just above us and there are no safes in the rooms?! The next day our room was cleaned and sufficient towels left, but the next 2 days we were there our room was not cleaned. Now, I understand most hotels have gone to an every-other-day cleaning schedule, which is fine, but to skip our room 2 days in a row was not fine. We did ask for some clean towels after that second day and were told they did't have any washcloths. What? Had they actually cleaned our room would we have gotten them then? Not to mention I found a hair clip on the floor in the bedroom that did not belong to us. I did not eat in the restaurant, but my husband and daughter did, and my husband called the food "microwave" dinner. Not impressed and not worth the money. One other comment: If you're gonna have a kitchenette, at least give towels/dishcloths if not dish soap for use. Would be very helpful. Staff was very pleasant. As far as the hotel goes, I was not impressed.

Glad it was only for one night
Hotel offered parking for 50 dollars. But there’s a lot right in front for 30. So that worked out better. Missed my Uber and charged fees from them due to attendant telling me Uber picks up in front of hotel. The first attendant I met was very nice and accommodating. Upon going inside our room I was extremely disappointed. Looks very outdated and dingy. For 250 bucks I would’ve chosen elsewhere to stay for much cheaper. It looked like an old motel room. Had an odd old stench. Definitely could use some updating. Ac worked in one room but didnt in the bedroom. It came on but definitely didn’t work like the other one. Shower sucked. No pressure. Tub very small and curved so hard to stand unless you’re a kid. My access card kept malfunctioning. Had to get 3 new cards. I was told it can’t be near keys, wallet, phones etc etc. So where should I put the card? In my butt?? Doesn’t make sense. Bottom line…. Overpriced for what we received. I thought breakfast was being served but of course at a price. I thought breakfast normally comes with cost of room but I could’ve overlooked that when booking. Thankfully it was only one night. Took my sons to a bulls game. I thought all holiday inns were the same for the most part. This one must be owned independently or something. Save your money and just go to a motel 6 with the same amenities and looks.

When we checked in the line was super long and only one lady working the desk. It took us almost 20 minutes to get to the front of the line. Room was fairly clean. But very small. Beds were very comfortable.
one wall next to one of the beds was losing Sheetrock and looked terrible.
Expected a lot more for $300/night.

Overpriced hotel, misleading website
I picked this hotel because it has a pool. The pool was closed for the season. That seems like it would have been information that could have easily been added to the website, but was not. My family was very disappointed and it screwed up our whole trip. The food at the restaurant was very good. We had dinner and then breakfast the next morning. However, I felt terrible for the servers who were not given the resources to keep up with all the table’s needs.

Hotel emailed me prior to my stay (so we can prepare what is your ETA, reason for travel, and also a reminder on the $50 parking - which is listed on their hotels.com page) which I thought was neat as I've never had a hotel do that. Hotel was easy to get to coming in from Central IL, it's right next to UIC.
They only have like 20 parking spots, which were full by 3p (it was a busy weekend but I see them filling up quickly regardless). It ended up working out better anyway as there's a parking lot literally next to the hotel's parking lot that's only $12 for 12 hrs or $24 for 24....not being from Chicago it could definitely be considered sketchy (rough looking/pot hole galore) but it's well lit, open, right next to campus, right next to the hotel, it's a busy area so I wasn't too concerned about my car.
Hotel staff were very friendly. Room was about as basic as it gets but it was fine. It's right next to Willis Tower, Union Station, and the beach is nearby. Fitness center was nice.
If you are comparing this to pretty much every other chain hotel (with parking, on frontage roads, with a little more square footage, bigger pools, etc) this would be subpar...however, for downtown Chicago it's fine. I'd rather stay here then shell out and extra $100-200 for somethign a little nicer.

The room was very, standard, but nice. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I also liked the diner that is attached to the hotel. There’s no continental breakfast, but the diner was a great, convenient spot for breakfast. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend!

After our 6 hour drive to Chicago they proceed to tell us that our room has been cancelled with no notification and left us with no other place to stay and we were stuck in Chicago at midnight with no where to go
