The whole reason we booked this hotel was for the pool/rock climbing wall. We even called ahead of time to make sure it was open. When we arrived, the pool was closed. Our bedsheets were dirty. Our room was very VERY loud at night due to the outside roads and people gathering in the hotel parking lot. Our room was also VERY drafty. Even though the large windows were closed/lock there was a major breeze coming in from outside.
We would not recommend this place and wont stay again.

Kumar the manager was friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. He was like a breath of fresh air. Extremely polite from the moment I called to ask about early check in and restaurant recommendations to the moment my family walked in the doors to check in. He even greeted us with a little goodie bag of waters and snacks for my kids and a comped breakfast for myself and my kids father. Then we ordered dinner at Draft and the lady working there was very polite and helpful and explained that my 2 year olds meal would be free. She even called up to my room to let us know when our food was ready. Pool area is spacious with plenty for the family to do (rock climbing, swimming, basketball, movies playing on a large screen, foosball). Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

Didn’t meet my expectations
Horrible they asked me for my credit card to put on file charge me $9.50 for something I didn’t purchase I still have not received my $50 deposit it’s still pending refund I was told I would have a late check out at 2 PM at 11:30 the housekeepers banged on the door because no one made them aware I will never stay here again I don’t think it was very clean breakfast was nice pool was nice just poor management

Honest review
This was somewhat of a great stay. The check in process with Gina and her colleagues (I forgot their names 😔) but they all were exceptional. My family stayed at this hotel because it was my daughters 16 birthday and she wanted to swim with her friends and cousin. This place has just that along with a rock climbing wall, half court basketball, and table games.
The only downside was, the pool area was cold and this is November in New England! I went to the desk twice to see if they could put up the heat nothing was done… Also, the door to the pool area wouldn’t let you in with your guest room key. Lastly, the basketballs they had were worn and deflated a little. With the pieces their charging it shouldn’t be hard to have a few decent basketballs and a functioning door and heat in the pool area…
Our rooms were great but the shower in room 421 has issues. The tub would fill up when showering unless you played with the control (takes a little playing with in order to make it work)
The breakfast buffet is good! It’s you’re standard breakfast and is worth it if you have kids. It’s all you can eat and saves you some money! Jean in the breakfast area is amazing!! Very friendly and attentive!! We would stay here again for sure..

With this price, you can find better options. First, the rooms are not as shown in the images and the building is really old. The restaurant's quality for breakfast and dinner is terrible. The pool is crowded and ..... The staff are friendly and willing to help.

The pool is great, but there’s no arcade, as advertised. There’s nothing close by to walk to. You’ll have to drive or Uber to get anywhere. The snacks and beverages are highway robbery. The room was fine for what we needed. Very close to the airport which was extremely helpful.

seemed a little understaffed, room wasn’t super clean and the lighting was kinda poor in the room. we were also supposed to have a room with two queens and ended up checking in and being told they only had a room w one king. wasn’t a huge deal, but we selected two queens because that’s what we wanted. comfy bed tho

Unfortunately the bar and restaurant were closed both Friday and Saturday afternoon and evening. So we had yo leave or order in to gwt anything. Pool closes for a few hours midday. King bed was super comfortable. Room cleanliness was average but could be better. Shuttle only goes 2 miles and everything is 2 away.

I didn’t get the breakfast vouchers on the first day even though they had been included in the booking. The staff told me that I had to come to the reception every morning and pick them up, which is ridiculous as other guests got theirs for all days of their stay.
The cleaning was not done on the fourth day of my stay.
The hotel refused to issue a receipt on the grounds that the booking had been done via online service.
Staff needs a lot of professional training.

Having read some negative reviews, I was delighted by my stay. Very big and comfortable room (bathroom was also a good size), friendly and obliging staff, a decent (but small) gym. Easy to get to the centre of Boston by the T - two stations are within walking distance - and the neighbourhood felt very safe. The only negative is the 6 am wake up call which was not asked for. When I asked for this not to happen again, two wake up calls occurred in quick succession early the following morning. Overall, a good stay.

The building is nice with a lot of parking. The room that I stayed in was spacious and clean. The hotel provides a bus shuttle from the hotel to a two miles radius. You can do your laundry for a cost of $1.50 per load. The only thing I didn’t like was the AC unit which was making a lot of noise.

Personal at the front desk lied about having a microwave at all for the room. Instead I was subjected to using the one in the lobby, which was fine, if only there wasn’t a group of unruly kids running around being loud and rude. Will not stay at this property again when I come back in November.

Hotel was nice but the cleanliness of the bathroom was no up to par. There was several pieces of black long hair in the shower which is not mine and shared this with the staff at the front desk. They didn’t do anything about it and said that it would be noted. The shower knob was broken and my boyfriend and I had to hold it for each other or the water would be scolding hot. We also shared this with the front desk staff and also didn’t do anything about it.

Easy check-in. Room was nice. Pool and sports deck area is very nice. Loved shooting some hoops and then jumping into pool! Had no hassle with prepaid breakfast and the neighborhood was on the quiet side. Only one elevator running but never had to wait long for car to arrive on floor or in lobby. Would like to see a little lower price, but would stay there again for sure.

Some of the dishes for breakfast buffet were obviously dirty. The laundry machine was broken but there was no notice when I brought my clothes in. The pool was closed without notice when I was ready to swim and then the front desk said it was closed for a private party.

The pluses of this property: excellent public transportation options in walking distance, great breakfast buffet, clean room, shuttle service available to Harvard Square and other locations.
The negative: when we arrived the room had no soap. When we asked the staff member brought us one tiny bar for two people for three days. We actually went out and bought our own. Keys constantly got deprogrammed. Rugs in the elevators are disgusting.
Overall I would stay here again but be prepared with your own toiletries!

The hotel was in good shape. It could have been cleaner, but it was ok. The service was hit or miss. Some staff were great, but others were not at all. We encountered several rude staff members. One that stands out was the life guard at the pool. He had a heavy smell of marijuana, and he was very rude to our family. Additionally, the hours for the pool were listed on the website, the brochure, and the door going into the pool as closing at 10pm on Friday and Saturday, but they kicked us out at 9pm. Overall I would not recommend this hotel. We will not stay here again in the future.

Frontdesk said my room isn’t ready since 4 pm we waited til 439 pm. We got keycard but didnt give me breakfast card that we paid. Door bell and tv remote aren’t working. Batteries DEAD! The bathroom door won’t shut n not lock No private. Night time, my daughter cried because she pressed doorbell to get me attention to open the door but not. Doorbell flashes don’t worked. Morning the staff won’t let me in breafast without the card I paid. I am deaf and lost for a while. After the staff apologized me that he reviewed the computer said I paid breakfast reservation with two night rooms. The staff wasn’t pay attention and maids didn’t do good job to double check to make sure flash doorbell worked and tv remote too. I left AC on and gone for 7 hrs walking around downtown and looked forward arrived the room I put AC on , sadly it was OFF. It was so hot in the room I wasn’t happy. I don’t highly recommend Holiday Inn here.

Convenient location, just a 10-15 min ride into downtown Boston. Parking available on-site, good size rooms, exactly what you expect from a Holiday Inn.

Not bad for one night but wouldn’t stay any longer. Easy check in/out process but the room was extremely subpar. The toliet had not been cleaned previously, obvious discoloration on the sheets, and appliances such as the television and air conditioner were not easy to use.

We reserved months in advance and made a special request but upon arrival they did not fulfill our request; very disappointed. We had no housekeeping come to our room during our stay. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. Walking distance from coffee shop. Overall we were happy.

Not my best experience
When we checked in and received our room keys, we went to that room room. There we found a dirty towel on the tv stand, the chair was moved up against the bed and there was a dryer drying the floor. Then in the bathroom the toilet seat was up with urine in the toilet. The room also did not have a king bed and that is what we paid for. We left that room and went back to the front desk. We were given another room and keys. We rushed up to that room to drop our stuff off since we were going to a game and needed to get moving. Those keys did not work! We had to go back down to the front desk and get the keys reprogrammed. At that point we just put our luggage in my car so we could go catch the T. When we got back we grabbed our stuff and headed up to the room. Those keys did not work either. VERY FRUSTRATING. The location was good for what we needed it for, but for the price that we paid, I was not impressed. I think we should have been offered something other than a free breakfast that we had no time to eat.

Definitely needs updating. Cable was stuck on one channel. We called the front desk at 6:00 p.m. they said they'd send someone up. Then we called again at 8:30 p.m. because no one had arrived. And then at 1:00 a.m. someone knocked on our door which I'm assuming was maintenance but unfortunately because my family was sleeping I did not answer. The mini fridge didn't really get cold enough to keep drinks in it. One of the elevators didn't work and just overall in the hallways pieces of the wall are falling apart. The room itself was clean and decent. The kids loved the pool area because it had basketball and rock climbing as well.

Comfortable stay for the Boston Marathon
We had a comfortable stay for the Boston Marathon weekend. The staff did a good job welcoming us and celebrating the event. Beds were comfy, hot breakfast good and especially welcome since there aren't other choices in the area. My only wish is that the hotel wasn't so far from shops and restaurants. The nearest train station is about a 10 minute walk from which you can get anywhere in the city but the walk itself is not the nicest.
I do recommend it, however, and would stay here again.

My Birthday & I was So up set, they charged me $20 a night, $40.00, for parking our car then never gave me back, still waiting for my $50 deposit back to my C.C.too and also the breakfast was not included like they said, plus garbage was under our beds, :(

We had an excellent stay. Took the kids to Boston for a few days of sightseeing. The hotel were accommodating when we showed up a little earlier then expected. Easy to access the T from the hotel. The sports deck and pool made it an excellent choice for us. Kids eat free at the restaurant as well for breakfast, another bonus. Great small pizza shop across the road too for easy dinner pick up.

The gentleman that checked us is was friendly, but never gave me the breakfast voucher that I paid for. Our room was on the 8th floor and as soon as we got off the elevator there was a terrible smell (thankfully not in our room)! Went to take a shower and it was like standing in a pond, because the water did not drain! I’m really glad it was only a 1 night stay and I would not stay there again.

Holiday Inns in the Midwest (where I'm from) are easily 4/5 stars for me, and I've stayed at several. So I had no qualms about booking this one for 2 nights - complete faith! Our floor (and only our floor) smelled like fish guts. We told the staff about it as soon as we got there and they had zero interest in correcting the problem. The hotel restaurant staff was completely incompetent and the one washer was out of order - again, the staff had zero care. This was definitely the low light of a week long vacation... don't do it!

Minor issues: (1)Spare toilet paper roll behind the active roll made it very difficult to pull paper from the active roll. (2) Front desk had NO available cash, so housekeeping got stiffed rather than tip $20 (smallest bill I had) for a 2-night stay. I have suggestions/thoughts about this. Contact me if you wish) (3) The cold drink selection in the lobby was out of the water Thursday evening and nearly empty by Saturday morning.

Was told my room was not ready. My sister arrived 15mins after me and her room was ready, for the same room type. No towels at the pool. The pool closed early and then was not open on Saturday. 1 Elevator was not working. The shuttle only provided service into Boston and no return later in the day.

We always have a good experience at Holiday Inn’s. Our only complaint was the shower pressure- it was pretty much non existent. But otherwise we plan on staying here again in the near future!

The breakfast was absolutely disgusting and over priced. Pool was never open which was the only reason we booked this hotel so our kids could swim. I called the morning of and was told it was open and we got there and they were closed. Never staying there again!

Recommend to anyone. Nice, clean, and not far from downtown. If you really like to walk, you can walk to TD Garden or pretty anywhere downtown with no problem.

I have stayed here in the past and it was wonderful. This past stay was horrible. The room had a plugged toilet, the heater had a constant squealing sound that was unbearable and the restaurant was horrendous. We wanted 25 minutes for the introduction of our sever, another 20 for our waters and and hour for wings, a cheese quesadilla and spinach artichoke dip with chips. Then waited another 30 minutes to get our check after asking the server for it. I was EXTREMLY disappointment with my stay and regret it.

We were given the wrong room at check in (no rooms left with two double beds) so my husband had to sleep on a very uncomfortable pull out couch all weekend. Awful!
The restaurant was very understaffed, although those employees that were there were very nice.

Theres multiple problems we dealt with, the lock on the door to our room didnt lock and we almost didnt have a locking door. The bathroom had no vent and the windows didnt open so it was basically a sauna after showering. The outlets pulled out of the walls when we tried to unplug our devices. There was a very gross colored stain on our blanket in our bedroom, and there was very limited food options besides microwave ramen and warm water

The lobby is in great condition, and the front desk staff were okay. Not inviting but not rude or anything. I was told in an email that the pool was open saturdays from 9am to 9pm. But when we got here to check in around 430-5 pm i was told the pool was closed and it closed at noon. We got into our room and the bed is mediocre, and the sleeper couch had NO sheets or blanket. And i ended up with a room on the 9th floor when i have 2 kids, so that was fun. I just dont see why the rooms are over 200 dollars when you dont even get to use half the amenities when you check in.
At least the restaurant had good food and my kids got to eat for free.

Got to our room and the temperature was 97F degrees. Tried to adjust/fix the temperature but to no avail. On the way out to dinner told the front desk and they assured us it would be fixed by the time we returned. Came back four hours later and the room was still the same. They finaly changed our room but the new room had lights thay did not work and no soap or shampoo in the bathroom. Additionally, there were no towels for the pool for 5 hours. I've been traveling all over for world for 34 years. This has to be once of the worst experiences I've ever had. I'm very disappointed with Holiday Inn.
