The Arcadian is clean and relatively quiet. We had to move from our original room as it did not have any clothes rack for hanging clothes. We were reassigned to another room which was much better. Also, the hotel is short of cleaning staff.

Deep clean and updating needed. The pictures suggest it has been updated recently, but if any they were all cosmetic and it's time to re-do them. The continental breakfast and coffee is a nice touch, but I doubt we will stay at this hotel again.

There was an issue with the room that influenced our rating. Heating/Air conditioning filter was detached from wall and was filthy. Otherwise, the experience was good.

Hello, I think the only thing that I didnāt like was the fact that they didnāt have a laundry area like washer and dryers. Cause I paid 50$ for ten pieces of clothing. I think this need to be looked into to help better the stay. Instead of looking or not washing at all

Bad experience of the stay
1. In room A/C/Heating unit extreme noise and strong air blowing; canāt sleep;
2. No place for hanging jackets
3. Arrived at 3pm in the hotel, but was told we had to check in at 4 pm. The staff had a cold hard stone face, very uncomfortable after long drive

Great with one exception.
Stay was great. Although we were given a room without a window. When I booked it said no view, it needs to say NO window.
Additionally the rep begins front desk on the evening of January 18 was just awful rude lazy and just very unhelpful. The next morning we got our issue easily resolved with two new reps at reception. They were great. We were at the hotel cause it is close to the hospital.

The hotel was perfect for my week long stay. The shower water was really hot and water pressure was amazing. The hotel was right across from the green line train stop which was really convenient for me. I love the water dispenser and overall comfort of the hotel lobby. My only con would be no microwaves in the room but I understand the safety concerns

The property was good. It is a place to go and lay your head and watch tv. The green line is right outside the front door and there is quite a bit to do within walking distance.

Hospitality from all employees. It had an undescriptive smell. We were placed far from maindoor , almost at the end of hotel. Next-door ocupants smoked and we were able to move to a different room. Front desk personnel kept our luggage after checking out since our flight was until 5pm , food could be better. Since there is no daily housekeeping, money saved could be use to put more things like fresh omelettes . I appreciate that there were options, too many carbs thou. Hardboiled eggs were quickly taken š

Good location, nice neighborhood. T stop right in front. Restaurants within walking distance. Rooms very clean and nice, but without any furniture to store your clothes, so we had to leave everything in our bags.

The shower didnāt really have hot water for a long lasting period and to be here during the winter thatās not good at all . Itās about 7-10 mins of hot water than it ran out fast thatās the only thing I didnāt like about the hotel other than that everything was amazing

I don't like the fact that the rooms don't have phones in them to call down to the front desk. There is no phone number that you can call to reach the front desk. You cannot get a wake up call. Or if your room temperature needs adjusting and you're having a hard time there's no one to talk to about it.

We had a great stay at the Arcadian enjoying the morning coffee, staff, cleanliness of the property and comfortable neighborhood.
My only detraction was the inflexibility of the rules for early check in and check out. Hard and inflexible and only available through the app. This should be improved.

Great location and awesome staff!! The beds are super comfy as well. The was only one TINY microwave onsite. They put breakfast away earlier than they say it ended. Thereās no phones in the room to contact front desk with any questions, you have to chat via the Sonder app. The elevator was down a couple times during my stay and I was on the fifth floor so that wasnāt fun. There also was an incident of fire alarms going off and the department having to come in and there was no communication on the situation.

Parking garage attendant not attentive. We couldn't get into the garage after getting ticket. My daughter had to walk back to the front desk to ask for help. Shay at the check in very helpful.
I had to go down stairs in my pajamas to the front desk because our room was freezing. The sweet young woman gave me 2 warm duvets. Very inconvenient!
We waited 1.5 hours for maintenance to come and fix the heater. He didn't speak English which took even longer.
I was late for my MRI appointment waiting around for him!
Parking garage price an is insulting. I paid to stay at the hotel I shouldn't have to pay $58 for parking. I will not be staying here for any of my future medical appointments!

The hotel was good. The front desk staff, especially the guy from Destin, FL made our trip. Very professional, friendly, accommodating and had great food, tour and site seeing suggestions. Housekeeping was on point every day. My only things were maybe some more options on clothes storage in the room and the addition of waffles and some sort of meat option at the Continental breakfast for example eggs, sausage or bacon. Overall a great experience and value for the price. I would stay here again.

The Arcadian is located in a very walkable part of Boston with lots of shops, restaurants and a movie theater close by. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Thanks so much for a wonderful week in Boston!

5/5 stars!! We were more than impressed with our stay here. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and spacious and the complimentary breakfast buffet was a nice bonus. The area was safe and a quick tram ride into the city! Well done to the team.

nice staff but needs updating
lovely lovely front desk staff. but the hotel is in desperate need of a major upgrade. the hall walls and ceilings and carpeting have not been updated in at least 30 years. It's a shame because it's a fantastic structure, fabulous lobby/lounge, great front desk personnel but the carpets are nasty, as are the hall walls and ceiling, paint is chipped, falling on to carpet; etc.

Stayed at this property 3 times before it was bought by Sonder... Had great stays with beautiful spacious rooms, was always able to check in early without charge or issues... Unfortunately this time they put us in a small room with no outside window.... Also went to get breakfast at 9... It goes till 10... And there was barely anything left.... Paid thirty dollars to check in early this time... Sonder sends em after em forcing you to do an elaborate pre check in where you have to send pics of you license and yourself, on their not user friendly app... Loved this hotel before, but with the Sonder, doubt we'll stay again... Change is seldom good.

Nice hotel for the money. Cleaner and more modern than we expected. The only negative comment is the water pressure for the shower was pretty terrible and often only luke-warm. Other than that, good location, friendly staff.

I loved the spaciousness of my room, and the friendliness of the staff. I've stayed at this particular Sonder multiple times and I've had a really good experience each time. What I don't like is that you have to pay for housekeeping, but I appreciate that I can ask for extra towels. Can't say enough about the fact that the Sonder Arcadian is in Brookline, which has so many amazing dining options, many of them within walking distance. There's also a Trader Joe's two blocks away, and plenty of on the street parking.

The location for this property was actually perfect. Leaving the hotel, it was a pretty straight shot to walk to all of the major tourist sites (Fenway park, Boston public garden, beacon hill, gov buildings, harbor, etc). Tons of local restaurants and shops along this strip and even a public transit stop directly in front of the hotel. The hotel itself was very clean, affordable, and offered complimentary breakfast! The staff members were also incredible and gave us so many travel tips and must-see recommendations around the city!!!! I will absolutely stay again.

Excellent service, Carlos from maintenance was polite and very helpful. The Art Deco hotel is close to public transportation, restaurants, Traders Joe, bars. Continental breakfast is very good. You can use microwave in the lounge and eat there. Definitely I will be stay in the Arcadian again.

I have a disability and had my tag, if I didnāt, I would have had to ambulate a long distance to hotel from parking. There was only one spot, and staff stated to my husband āyes you can park there.ā It was āa lifesaver for me.ā I think there should be more parking accommodations for patrons with a disability.

Lovely staff; punishing experience
Long before we ever set foot in the Arcadian, it stole an hour of my time due to a cumbersome, seemingly obligatory online registration process; a faulty pre authorization interface that wouldnāt accept my credit card; a text link that bounced my request for help back to me; and the need to email the hotel to resolve all the issues its broken systems caused.
The aim of this hotel chain is obviously to eventually cut out live staff, but since its online system is so unreliable, there is no way I would trust the app. Also, their rooms are riddled with issues, so the idea of no staff on site is terrifying.
Our friends had to switch rooms twice. First room had a bed so sagging and uncomfortable that they got no sleep. Second room had a thermostat jammed at 80 degrees. Our own room had absolutely no place to put clothing. No drawers, shelves, or place to hang anything. I kept my casual clothes stacked on the mini fridge, and my event clothes folded over the back of a chair. There was, on the other hand, a light switch that, if you turned it on, set off an ear-piercing fire alarm.
The layout of the hotel is basically a giant warehouse for storing people in rooms with no windows, serviced by one single elevator. The signage is so inadequate that we saw people wheeling their bags down hallway after hallway, trying to find their room. Rooms have no phone to the front desk, so dealing with room issues required traversing this massive space.
Why pay money to work so hard!?

Nice location, friendly atmosphere
This hotel is located right near tons of stores & restaurants. Parking is expensive if you park in the garage but i found it cheaper & closer to use street parking which was always available right outside the hotel (free from 8pm-8am) especially if you're someone who spends most of the daytime out and returns in at night, go with the street parking to save & for convenience. The lounge area was always full of people, some sleeping on the couches which i thought was weird. Our room was nice, cozy, comfortable, only issue was hairs in the shower (i despise finding other people's hair in the shower, it grosses me out) the tile in the bathroom was coming off at the floor and they duct taped it which was the only thing that ruined its classy clean look.
Otherwise very friendly staff, perfect location close to fenway & the medical area, close to everything you need while away from home, food, shopping, entertainment, etc.
I'd definitely book again considering its one of the cheaper hotels & definitely convenient with a beautiful atmosphere.
Free breakfast & 24hr gym.
