I bought the breakfast package. However, the FDA did not provide any vouchers at check-in, or even mention it. At breakfast the first morning the server asked if I had the vouchers. I answered truthfully that I was not given any vouchers. He advised that I speak with the front desk and proceeded to charge the highest rate for the buffet even though the posted signage indicated our room qualified for the lowest rate. The front desk is on the first floor, while the restaurant is on the 15th. Reluctantly I made it to the front desk and inquired about the vouchers. The FDA, different than the first, easily saw that I had indeed purchased the package and provided the vouchers. I immediately returned to the restaurant and had the charge removed. Later that evening, I had the opportunity to speak with other hotel guests. They had just arrived and asked about the restaurant. Turns out that they also did not receive their breakfast vouchers at check-n. I relayed my experience so that they could return to the desk to get their vouchers to avoid the hassle.

The reason for a low rating review is because i was not refunded my refundable deposit and the room had a whole in the ceiling with tissue stuck in it upon arrival. I reported it and i was not given any other options to alleviate the situation

The property was great, and we had an excellent stay. The only thing we wished was that it had an additional amenity of microwave for room service, and not just a sharable microwave on the 15th floor Rivermarket.

Checking in was quick, they answered all questions without an attitude. They stuff was very friendly and the property was very clean and presentable. Felt very comfortable here. The movie channel was down but that is out of their hands. Will definitely recommend to anyone.

I went for a solo birthday stay and the first room upgrade I received had mold issues and I was graciously given another larger room that ended up being wonderful! The only thing is trying to reach someone via phone is challenging so, you have to make the trek to the front desk to get assistance.

They did not clean the space well. Even their parking was really far from the hotel, we have to walk everytime there and it was still really expensive. I even tried to call them couple of times to complaint, but nobody picked up the call

We stay here whenever we visit Chicago. There is no better staff than at this hotel! Everyone from front desk, to cleaning staff to restaurant staff. Very clean and convenient to walk anywhere downtown. Can’t wait to come back!

Convenient location!
Great location! Clean, friendly staff! Were even able to check in 4 hours early, no added cost. Pleasant surprise ! Also, tucked away from the busy streets so it’s easy to catch an Uber/lyft.

Just okay - pricey
Hotel was nice, buffet/bar area was cold and drafty. Breakfast buffet was pretty pricey at $25/person when breakfast is the cheapest meal of the day.
Parking at $56 overnight was a big reason why we don’t travel to the city.

Great riverfront property. All of our destinations around the city were 5-20 minute walks. The location was pretty central while not being too loud or chaotic, with a beautiful view. The staff was friendly and our room was clean and spacious. Would stay again!

This hotel is wonderful. The staff is second to none in the hotel industry. Housekeeping cleaned our room daily and the doormen were delightful to interact with. We would rate this hotel as excellent and will stay here anytime we are in the area.

The staff were really welcoming. Also the place was clean. The dining space has amazing views and the food at Waterview restaurant was amazing. Totally recommend travelers to try the hotel. Everything is walking distance to the hotel.

It was nice, but I was expecting a little bit more. The pool was ice cold and there was no hot tub, which should have been specified on the amenities. Otherwise it was nice.

Parking was very confusing with little to no signage. We had to buzz the parking lot attendant over the intercom just to make sure we were in the right place. Once we were parked and out of the garage, there were no signs indicating which building around us was the hotel. We had to ask the receptionist in the building above the garage, which, strangely, was attached to an apartment building and had lots of signage for residents.
Once inside the hotel, the reception was wonderful. The room was comfortable and the beds were fine. My 9-year-old, however, found a Viagra pill on the floor that housekeeping must have missed. The ceiling right around the shower fan was bubbled and looked like it had mold that had been painted over. The pool was ice cold, so our kids were very disappointed that they couldn’t swim. On our second morning, the shower went from lukewarm to cool. The breakfast buffet was decent, though the coffee was terrible.
Our stay definitely wasn’t bad, but I think we would try a different hotel next time we visit Chicago.

I really enjoyed our stay minus one thing. The place was pretty, liked our room/view. Safe, close to good food places and shops.
Complaint: On our last day, the gentleman at the spinning doors refused to let us use a luggage carrier and said he required tips. We proceeded to have to take 2 trips to our parking garage (far) because we couldn't use the luggage carrier. Was a distasteful checkout.

Hotel is actually on the 15th floor. There is a front desk in the lobby and a few places to sit. When you get off on the 15th floor, it is beautiful. Very noisy from the outside influences.

This wasn’t a bad stay, it probably wouldn’t have bothered me as much if this wasn’t the 5th hotel I’ve stayed at in Chicago recently.
I didn’t get very friendly vibes from the staff working there. I saw the Holiday Inn brand through them and not in a good way. It felt like everyone was just kind of there.
I couldn’t stand the shower and bathtub. The water pressure was way too low. I understand that the hotel is going with the eco friendly approach but they did it in a way that made the bathtub and shower almost unusable. It shouldn’t take over an hour for the bathtub to be a little over half full. As someone with thick long hair the water pressure from the shower made it seem like I was better off showering at an outdoor shower that you would find at a campsite or the beach.
Overall the vibe just felt kind of weird. Maybe it was from the restaurant/bar being down below just outside the hotel room.
But like I said before it wasn’t all bad. The bed was really comfortable, one of the better beds I’ve slept in throughout my hotel stays.
The view was great, I loved watching the train crossing the bridge and to also have the Aon and John Hancock tower in sight.
I also loved having a Keurig in the hotel room. However this was the only place I stayed at that didn’t have complementary bottled water in the room.
Overall I give it a 3 out 5. It wasn’t bad but a lot of improvements could be made.

It was easily walkable to Chicago attractions.I did not like that the parking was not apparent . Had to park in no park zone and enter hotel to have it explained . Staff member that helped me was very helpful and showed me exactly where and how to park. If that had not been the case it would not have been figured out.

I don’t know if I will be using Expedia again. I feel as though the price that was quoted kept going up and I thought I had already paid for parking and when I looked on the website again parking was included then we were in a different hotel than what I thought I signed up for. My children enjoyed the view and the concert that they went to but this is the first time that Expedia has been so confusing for me.

This was a great place to stay. The one thing we would mention is that there was a wind tunnel of cold air blowing straight through to the staff checking us in. No protection between the automatic doors & front desk. We were only there a short time. Staff was in winter coats working. I can't imagine how it will be for them in the really cold weather!

The location was great, but the front desk staff were very unfriendly and disrespectful. Our shower did not work after multiple times of asking for it to be fixed. We were not explained the parking situation so ended up paying $56 a day for parking in the garage.

I did not like the dining options that were available and was not satisfied with the food. I paid quite a bit for 2 steaks that were incorrectly cooked and the waitress was so busy due to low staffing that she could not come back to check on us until the food was cold.

Wolfs Point is a nice quiet corner that is walkable to the major things to see in Chicago. It's right next to the river walk that gets you everywhere. The hotel was clean and our room had a great view down the river. The only weird thing was the elevator setup. You would have to go to the 15th floor then to another elevator to go up. This was a minor issue once we learned the setup.

An incredibly central location from which you can walk to many things - and with incredible views. I loved the 15th floor "lobby" and the 24 hour shop. Beds were comfy and the whole place was incredibly clean. It was pricey but not outrageous, and did I mention I loved the views?

Overall, it was a great place to stay at. Rooms were clean and staff was absolutely great. Only issues, was the ac unit was so loud that it kept me up most of the night, the bathroom toilet so short, and toilet paper was in a awkward spot, that I actually twisted my back to grab. Hurt my back.
