The room smelled terrible, one of the beds was completely broken, door handle on bathroom was broken, and staff was not accommodating in getting us a new room. We left without staying the night because of how bad it was.

Take your money elsewhere!
The first room had a broken sliding window that was unable to lock with a homless guy directly in front, i complained and was moved. A car air freshener in air conditioning vent, a block of wood in next window. The place smells like smoke and mildew. Screens falling out of windows, stains all over ceiling and walls

Cons: Floors were dirty, unswept and unvacuumed. You could hear traffic loudly in the room because the door didn't seal shut. And there was a single lock with no deadbolt inside. Tile was on the floor in the bathroom that fell off the wall. Soap scum on the shower walls. There was a hole kicked through the bottom of the bathroom door. The toilet wasn't attached to the ground and wobbled when you sat down. There were people everywhere outside and there was someone listening to music loudly in the doorway of their room right next to ours. It overall felt unsafe to leave the room.
Pros: The bed was comfortable. I didn't see any bugs in the 2 days I was there. Bed linens seemed clean. It's literally a place to stay. Don't expect anything more.
I will not stay here again.

Property was dirty and had foul odor. There was a room close to us that was blaring music until 3 am. They were obviously smoking marijuana, the hall and even our room smelled of it.

Worst experience ever. Smelled like smoke even though it was a non smoking room. Unsafe area. Shower filled will mold. Could not have been worse. I left and stayed somewhere else. I’m out the money spent.

Odorous room
Room had an odor like vomit that never went away. Could not change rooms, so I was given Frebreeze to solve the problem. T.V. had only one channel.

Avoid, avoid, avoid!
I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels, and this by far was the most disgusting. There were cigarette burns in the comforter, stains on the sheets and the bathroom was disgusting. One of the beds were broken and not useable. Plus, I didn’t feel safe. I couldn’t let my family stay there. We left and went somewhere else.

The room was dirty with stains on the sheets, curtains, and ceiling. The bathroom had mold in the shower. The coffee maker had water in it from who knows when with mold and scum on the surface. There was a fire alarm in the hallway with a low battery that beeped all night long. The other clientele seemed to be mostly drug addicts and truckers with multiple people screaming well after midnight. Do not stay at this property if you value your safety and sanity.

The room smelled like smoke when we entered. The bed spread had "spots" all over it and the mattress was not as good as I've experenced in past visits to Red Roof Inn.The walls were dirty and damaged. The light over the sink flickered and the outlet didn’t work.
I think with this experence I may have had my last stay at RRI.
I came back to the Chicago area for a family emergency and was exhausted or I would have traveled on to the next suitable hotel.

Run away fast
Saw a mouse outside of the door getting out of the car. I booked a non smoking room and it smelled like cigarettes walking in. There was holes in the comforter and sheets. I hated it there. I was in the room for all of 6 minutes and I demanded a refund instantly.

This RRI stay was nothing like my other
The stay at this Red Roof Inn was horrible. When I arrived the check-in person was not immediately available. I had a problem watching TV, as some buttons were missing on the remote control. Another guest was given a key to my room (accidentally). After all of that was worked out, I saw that my room was very dirty. From the walls to the bedside table to the refrigerator...all dirty. A thick layer of dust was on the "headboard". The carpet was not vacuumed. One electrical outlet had no cover. The cover on one of the beds had burn holes on it. The sheets did not look as clean as they should. The boxsprings had questionable stains on them. Thankfully, I was staying only one night.
I can say that the bed was firm, and I had a solid uninterrupted sleep, and that the check-out process was smooth.
I had stayed at another RRI in Joliet prior to this stay in Alsip, and it was nothing like this which is why I chose to book another stay. The one in Joliet was clean and the staff was there when I arrived. No other guest turned the knob to my door.
I see that you cannot depend on the name alone when choosing a hotel/motel stay, and will never go back to the RRI in Alsip.

I usually go to that red roof location. Mgr is nice the rooms have fridge,microwave . But you do get people complaining about everything. I am really picky i have no issues.

Needs to be updated badly
Many features of the room were worn out. Big cracks in the walls, holes in the carpet, outlets that did not work, hot water was reversed with cold in the shower, heater cover fell off during the night scaring my son and I as the window was not able to be latched and there was a broom stick in the track to keep it from being opened.

The room wasn’t cleaned at all! The bathroom still had a wash cloth hanging over the shower rod from the previous guest, there were food crumbs piled in the corner next to the dresser and the beds have brown stains on them. I asked to be switched to another room and the man only wanted to refund me which I couldn’t do because it was already late and I had been driving for hours all day. This is by far the worst red roof I been to

The property is in total disrepair. Do not stay. I have so many bed bug bites. The room smelled of years of smoking. Doors windows walls broken . Comforter sheets dirty.

The first room they gave me was not clean at all. There was blood on the bed, dirty floors, bathroom was also not clean looking. Stuff running down the mirrors. That is when I left. The next room was cleaner, but still after I ran a cloth over the counter tops the white cloth was now black. Will not come back to this place again.

When we pulled up to the motel there were people hanging out throughout the property. There were 2 police officers at the far end of the parking lot. We pulled up and asked if we should stay at this motel/was it safe? They told us it was not safe to stay there.

The windows didn’t lock, the noise of doors slamming, outside doors and windows not being secured and locked, very loud noises through the walls from other rooms. Felt unsafe ended up checking out same night I checked in. Only to find front desk staff was not covering the desk so only assistance was maintenance guy who knew nothing.

Friendly Reception but worn and needs cleaning
staff at the reception were friendly. I had called to make sure we got a ground floor room because we are traveling with a dog and they made sure it happened. The room was worn with scraped floors, stains on walls, lots of dust , stains on the bedding. The room was also very noisy because of the nearby highway, the windows did not keep out the noise. I would not stay here again

Don’t stay here!
The place is very run-down and needs lots of repairs. The smells were atrocious. The linens were incredibly thin and held plenty of stains. The staff was pleasant but there is absolutely no way that we will be back.

I liked how after waiting an hour or more to get my CLEAN sheets, pillow cases and covers, my family and I finally got to sleep. I like how friendly the staff was.
I didn't like the gun clip pieces found in my so-called, clean room. I did not like how dirty the bed set was and under the mattress. I did not like how the floor boards were not in tact. I did not like seeing the hotel clerk, give a room key to a guess, without asking for her Identification (she could've been a killer).
Overall my experience was terrible for me and my family.

The room we booked was dirty. The bed linens were dirty still obviously used from previous people who had stayed there before. The bathroom was very dirty too. Told front desk that the room was dirty, they apparently sent someone in, but when we came back in the only thing the was done was that the bed was made and the linens were still not changed. The room was also very dusty. The towels in the bathroom some were obviously nice and clean and others ones were not. It looked like the room honestly wasn't cleaned from the people before at all. The only thing that was clean was the garbage cans cause it was empty of garbage.

This establishment had hair on the linen and towels and when i called for a change of rooms was told no rooms were left when there was multiple rooms seen empty from the outside the front desk attendants said he would get the key for the linen at whick time it was 9pm never got the linen and staying at this location the same attendant was at the desk because he was sleep up stairs and was left calling the hotel and standing there was no acceptance for 40-45 minutes.

This place was filthy. The room was not clean at all. Both the beds had strands of someone else’s hair in them, and they also HAD BED BUGS! There was no interior lock on the door and the curtains do not cover the windows properly. Instead there was tape there for you to tape the curtains to the wall! I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN‼️‼️🤬

Don't waste your money
Front desk staff was very nice.

The hallway was really nasty with garbage outside guests doors . The room had not been clean there was a baby pacifier left on the side of the bed indication the room had not been cleaned. Checked in on 4-2-20 check out was 4-7-20 asked for clean towels on 4/3 didn’t receive any until 4/5 I canceled for the remaining stay.

The area i stayed in was nicer than the front building; it was apparent that some people actually lived there, no big deal. The building had a strong odor of Marijuana and there was a loud party down the hall one night. Otherwise, the accommodations were more than adequate for my purposes. The front desk was professional and courteous and accomodated the fact that i have a knee injury by giving me a ground level room.

Good Hotel that appears to be going down fast.
When I first visit this location in 2018 it was a very nice place. It was a newly remodeled hotel. As the years past, it's becoming to be a very ruin down place. The bathroom tub and toilet leaks. The floors tile glue is visible. The mirror was missing in a room. The lining had stains. The undesirable are running in and out until the early morning hours and at times, making noise in the halls, which causes unpeaceful sleep. It appears to be unsafe at times.

The hotel was not a safe environment. There was a big New Years Party going on in the second floor. Two individuals were physically fighting in the hall outside of my room. I had just checked in and was there less than 5 minutes. I checked out right away after the hall way fight commotion was over. The hotel did not want to refund my money even though there was safety issues and I did not stay in the hotel. Me, my husband and our kids were scared for our safety. The hotel lied and said they offered us another room and that we stood in another room. The manager was supposedly never there to speak with and Jaweed said he would check the cameras and refund me my money if he seen we did not stay. He never called me. I made lots of attempts to reach him and to get my refund and was unable to due to him avoiding me and not getting back to me.

This hotel claimed to be remodeled that is definitely not the case! There’s a huge hole in the wall in the bathroom, the floor is coming up near the bed, and I had to request new sheets because they had not been changed since there was no other room available.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY - BEWARE
The pictures on the web site do not tell the truth. When I first arrived I walked into a room that was not cleaned, there was stuff all over the floor and hair in the bathroom! The second room they gave me was better but had major issues - cleanliness was still a concern, the flooring was coming up, the bathroom tile had mold, there was a spot for a refrigerator but no refrigerator. The carpeting had ominous stains on it. This property is not at all kept up. The window was warped at the top to where you couldn't even open it, the in room air/heat had only one working setting, and there was water damage all around it. The final straw was when I asked the attendant for a better room, even in the other building he said "the building you are in are the good rooms."

A very nasty hotel. Holes in the wall and on the floor. Had to ask for an ironing board. Still awaiting a call from management so that I can change rooms. Visit was over on yesterday. I’m a disabled veteran and asked for a ground floor. They had none. Only good thing about this place is the young man at the front desk. He was so helpful and very apologetic for the hotels issues.

ROOM WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING\NOT WORTH THE MONEY
The room was very disappointing. Upon arrival, the bathroom had a puddle of water on the floor near the shower and the shower tub was wet, as if someone had just taken a shower. The bathroom door was in need of repair, every time you attempted to open the door it would dragging on the floor and keep scraping the floor each time you attempted to open or close the door. There was a dirty yellow towel on the top of the coat rack. It was just awful It was very concerning that this room appeared to be unclean and disinfected, amid the COVID-19
