10/10 would stay here again.
When another booking was cancelled last minute before our trip for the Phoenix Open this place was available and affordable and what beautiful property! For the price you can’t beat it! It was clean which is my biggest concern. It could be considered a bit outdated in some places but nothing bothersome or upsetting. Clean as can be! It is in the mountains but easy to reach from the road. You’ll have gorgeous views all the time. While it can be hard to walk up the hills to rooms or restaurants, hotel transportation around the property is readily available. I loved the day hanging out at the falls pool. The service was perfect at the pool which made it extremely relaxing. I’d love to come back and stay longer just to explore the resort more! Would totally recommend.

I like the quietness of the property and the inside of the room was nice . The outside was worn and needed repairs . My room had a view of another buildings roof and all I saw was broken shingles

The rugged hills sides and being ontop of a hill with views was beautiful. I love the walking and it was great exercise. It was very convenient to park right up close to my bedroom door. I love the size of the rooms and separate toilet and separate living room that you can close off doors. The hot tubs were not hot enough and it could use a little refresh. It didn’t seem like the front desk was knowledgeable regarding the hot tubs or the property. Our digital key would now work on check-in.

Faulty items in room. Tub/shower dated and leaked.
TV in living room did not work and the safe needed to be fixed. The food was amazing at Point in Tyme. Don’t stay here.

My favorite resort!
I have stayed at the Cliffs for years. I love the layout of the resort, the pools, the hiking. As always, I was NOT disappointed. Actually, I will return in a few days for another week!!

Not a Hilton. More of a Holiday Inn level. Room was musty. Had to call twice to get remote replaced. Ice machine not working for days. Met very clean. Paint chips on the balcony. Very loud bathroom fan so we could not use the light at night (same switch). No glasses in the room, only paper cups. TVs are antiques and small.

The property is beautiful! Can be a lot of walking, however they provide shuttle service to anywhere on the property. Plenty of places for pool/whirlpool. We only ate at one of the restaurants; Pointe in Tyme. Food was good, service was excellent and Linda the bartender was extremely accommodating and went the extra mile. Great get away!

We were told our building had an elevator, but it did not. The stairs were very poorly lighted and we nearly fell in the dark. WI-FI did not work in one of the rooms, so one of the people in our party had to change rooms after unpacking. The Starbucks coffee shop did not open as 6:30 AM as promised, causing us to find another source for coffee and making us late for our event.

given the temperatures were a tad chilly, really didn't take in much of the pools. I guess not much to do to fix weather!

It seems as Hilton just acquired the property and continuing to complete updates to it. I thought it was decent and the service of the staff is phenomenal. The property is definitely a Southwest vibe and for the age of the property the rooms were very clean and didn’t smell old. I would stay here again and take the time to explore the property more to give an even more insightful review.

The staff that gives you rides around the resort is beyond helpful. The facility itself is run down, it looks the same as it did when I was a kid. But the suite styles are nice for family and gives everyone some space.

We got to the hotel early, and were told we could check in early if we wanted 2 queen beds, instead of a king room that we had booked. We wanted to wait for the king room that we booked, so we were told we would get a text when a room was ready. We waited 5 hours doing other activites and just came back at standard check-in time at 4 pm because we never received a text. The person checking us in this time was really flustered, and seemed to be struggling to find our reservation despite us doing the "pre-check" earlier. He finally got us our keys and we went to the room. The keys did not work upon arrival to our room. I had to call the desk from my cell phone and the lock was apparently dead, so we had to wait 30 minutes for maintenance. His name was Mike; he was courteous and worked quickly. We got into the room and it was NOT a king, but a double queen. I called again and they had apparently given me someone else's room as the check out date was for the next day, not the 2 nights we had booked. They said they had no other kings available at that moment and we'd have to wait again, so we just regrettably stayed in the queen. The room was clean, just not what we booked. The hot tub nearest us was like a luke warm tub with broken tiles falling off and was often out of towels, and the main pool was far away. We were still required to pay $50 a day for all the resort fees. The customer service was hit or miss depending who you got on the phone. Will not be going back.

The property provides transportation inside to the different pools, amenities, and restaurants. The staff was top notch.
The Different Point of View restaurant was excellent, great food, and service with an amazing view. The resort could use some help on general maintenance, but our room didn't have any issues, and the HVAC worked well.

Location to trails and North Mountain is the highlight. Pickle ball courts and Falls pool were great. Overall hotel is quite run down and in need of a major overhaul. Some rooms are better than others and the outside grounds are far better than the rooms. The rooms are so dated, it's hard to get past that. Carpets should all be removed and heavy draperies are very weird for Arizona. Checkin was unruly and we were told our room would be ready soon and then it wasn't ready, we were put in a horribly dirty and unused room, looked like it hadn't been opened in weeks. Electrical door panel hanging off the wall, bathroom fan squealing and musty smelling. We changed rooms but was only mildly better. Felt like a lot of money spent for a mediocre stay and we never wanted to actually be in the room. It wasn't an ideal Christmas holiday and for the money spent, we certainly felt taken advantage of. Some restaurants weren't open and others had either weird hours or unable to reserve. Limited options on pool menu. The pickle ball courts and pro shop were excellent and if you like hiking, being able to access the trail right from the hotel was the highlight. Just really hard to justify the nightly rate when there were so many issues with the room and overall state of the property.

Fun family hotel
The hotel has a cool layout with smaller buildings arranged around several pools and terraces with great views. There are hiking trails adjacent to the hotel as well.
It’s too bad that it seems like the hotel has given up on maintenance. Our first room had a leak in the ceiling and a broken TV. The staff was friendly and moved us to another room, which still had a sink that did not drain. Lots of areas throughout the property that show signs of wear and damage.
We had good service across the hotel and enjoyed our stay, everything just felt a little run down.

Almost worth it
Rooms are clean. Maid staff serviced them daily.
I called ahead to confirm things before booking the trip: free WiFi in the rooms, accessibility of the entire resort, electric car charging stations, and heated pools. When I called, staff told me that all rooms have free wifi, there are golf carts at the ready to take guests anywhere in the resort, that they have several EV chargers and all pools are heated. None of this was the case. First, all rooms should have free WiFi but note that if you are in the outer suites, there is no WiFi. We called maintenance and they came out to try and fix it but they confirmed it was a known issue for the outer suites. We had to wait until the end of day two to actually get to a room with WiFi and unlock for our vacation. Two, the golf carts. Yes they are available but expect to wait 20+ minutes each way. I think it was just one golf cart driving around trying to serve all the guests. We always waited at least 20 minutes for each ride to the pool or the resort restaurants. They also do not have several EV hookups - they only have one EV port. All of the rest of the ports are for Teslas only, so prepare for that. Lastly, the main pool and water slide were freezing. We asked about heat and were told the heating was not working. I tried the slide once and nearly fainted from the cold. Really disappointing as that was a main attraction. This place could be great but not quite there yet.

Even after being cleaned, our room was extremely dusty. As soon as we would come in, we would start to feel congested. In order to just be able to stay in the room, I finally just dusted the entire room and the towels were covered in dust. The doors were cracked, the tv didn’t work and the property just had an overall feeling of being dirty. This was a very difficult stay for our family.

The place at night is hard to get around, very limited with lights. Has only 4 ev charging spots for the whole compound, and they are always being used. Then instead of actually being upfront with the price, they lower the price and charge you an extra resort fee to make up the price. Other then that it was a nice place to be.

Unique property on a hillside. Mountain View rooms definitely worth it. It’s gorgeous. Near many nature and hiking areas as well as restaurants and stores. Pool area was great - main pool as well as several smaller ones throughout property.

Great staff. Terrific location. Would be nice to have microwave in rooms.
Some areas need updating and new bathtubs...some are recoated and have hard, uneven surfaces.
Indoor bar area at Different Point of View needs softer, less direct lighting. We had to go inside because of rain. Very uncomfortable environment.

The property needs to be updated. The elevators were actually scary to be on. The staff was inconsistent with service but the bell men were absolutely amazing. We also really enjoyed being served by Stacy.

Our room was clean, but the bedroom wasn't set up well. The 2nd bed was blocking 1/4 of the doorway. The walls are also very thin and we could hear the toilet flush and shower of the upstairs unit pretty clearly.

Nice rooms but terrible resort. You cannot easily get around with the hills. Have to drive from one side to the other. Many bars / restaurants closed with no indication until you get there. Difficult to get answers from staff

Very nice place to stay. lots of things to do. walking around the property was a bit of a maze but fun. The trails were awesome. The views from day to night were beautiful. Depending on your mood there were lots of pools to choose from. Parking was kind of tight and if your in and out a lot it can be a hassle but nothing to bad. They do have an open area to park in and they will shuttle you anywhere around the property which is nice because it is a very large property. The rooms were very nice, staff was very polite. All in all we had a very nice stay.

We liked that the property was away from downtown so it was quite and had an adult only pool. There was an area around the hotel to hike a bit. Food options were a bit limited for our taste but we had a car so it wasn't a problem.
WE ended up with a handicap accessible room which meant the sink was outside the bathroom, not a big fan of that . It had a small fridge that wasn't working and they quickly replaced it for us. Had a small coffee pot option and would have been to have had a microwave.
Otherwise, room was clean and easy to access with a living area separate from the bedroom. Lots of space, limited closet.

First day I hit my head on exposed nails near hot tub! Caused bad bleeding and headaches for days. The nails were fixed the next morning, we did an accident report with a security person. We were told that a manager would contact us when we got home. I received a missed call and we tried many times to return the call. The person has not been available each time. Nor has he attempted to call us back. Very disappointed that Hilton doesn’t want to try and make things right with me! Maybe this review will get the attention I deserve?

Great stay in Phoenix
The property is in a beautiful setting and with many amenities. Overall great staff and gorgeous view from the restaurant on top of the hill. Great hiking nearby as well with North Mountain trail passing by it. The gym is a bit sorry and could be improved. It is also a bit older hotel, so you might find repair crews at times (for repainting, …). But overall a great property, would definitely recommend.

Well first of all the air conditioning was set to 68 and wasn’t letting me put the temperature down. So I called the front desk the man got irritated that I said it was hot in my room mind you I live in az the hottest state! He then sent a maintenance man. The maintenance man was nice but advised me that their ac is set at 68 & couldn’t figure out how to turn the ac on cold until figuring with the ac unit. He turned on the cool air & said all the rooms are the same temp & have the same problem. It only lasted for 5 minutes until it turned off. I had to repeat this my 2 nights and had to go buy a fan at the store! For $600 dollars I could have went to a motel 6 & had cooler ac! Plus the resort was OUTDATED. I couldn’t go golfing or reserve a spot at their fanciest restaurant which attracted me to this resort specifically! Their Starbucks coffee was really bad the man gave me the wrong order & once I told him nicely, he got upset that he only did what I ordered which wasn’t it. The maintenance people were arguing on my last day of my stay. The one cafe by the pool wasn’t open in the morning or afternoon time so it was super inconvenient that attracted me to this place too. I really wished I had stayed somewhere even more out of my budget than this. For 2 nights it being $600 it was not worth it!! Another thing the WiFi does not work there! So if you need to do any work or anything with technology this is not the place!

Loved the property and the service! Hudson and Richard was excellent—superior service and I would absolutely recommend and go back. Kudos also to Housekeeping! My only recommendation is to try to reduce the number of tripping hazards throughout the property. There were too many low metal fixtures that have been abandoned and wrapped in black tape.

So very beautiful. Many choices for outdoor fun (however, the pool closest to us was closed the entire time). The roads are tight, be careful when driving and parking. Super clean - housekeeping and the grounds in general. Every employee we interacted with was friendly. Great time, highly recommend!

Had hot water issues the first night but after calling the front desk the issue was resolved within 30 minutes of calling, maintenance came and fixed it. Also had an extra charge on my card that I was not informed I would be receiving. After calling the charge was refunded due to me not being informed of it. I would absolutely go back!

Property is a little older . Wasn’t what I expected for what we paid for . Super noisy, rooms aren’t soundproof. We had a resort fee , we expected atleast a complimentary breakfast . The beds are hard, couldn’t stay asleep.

This was a couples retreat, and I am happy to say the stay was amazing! The staff was VERY friendly and efficient, the room was clean and if you wanted to have the room cleaned daily you just let them know and they did it asap. Loved the different choices of pools.

The service was excellent. I loved the The Falls water slide and pool. My kids had a great time. I would stay there again as long as I got an updated room. Our room was old. The bathroom tile didn't even go all the way to the bathtub. The carpet was old, too. The beds were clean, and the layout of the rooms was excellent. It was also very quiet. We didn't hear from any other travelers. I am particular about where we stay and it wasn't awful.

Liked the options for the pools and dofferent buildings. Staff was quick and reappnsive. Some things to know
1. The sofa-bed is the old style circa 1982 thin mattress, sharp edges. We didnt sleep at all that night it was that bad. Felt like we were back slumming it when we were broke college kids.
2. The closest pool was out of sevice, so went to the next one, amd it wasnt heated, amd the hot tub was cold.
3. We got there early evening, and there was a big pile of dirty linen on our hallway. It was taken care of by the time we got back to the room the next day in the afternoon)
4. Very dim evening outside lights. Cool ambiance but it was hard to walk around without worrying about stumbling with the uneven pavement, amd not sidewalks everywhere. Even the pool area was very dark.
5. If you drive a taller vehicle or luggage rack, watch all the pedway bridges. Spme were as low as 6'10 or so. They go across almost every street. We were limited on routes to get around the resort, even too our room, and with all the one way streets, it was hard to navigate. This was a pretty. Ig issue for us since we had to carry all the tourname t gear we had since we didnt want it left in the car.
The actual beds in the suite were so comfy
