Our stay was lovely! Parking lot was right next to the hotel and the hotel itself was located by dozens of restaurants. Definitely would stay again!

The staff were very friendly and professional. My only complaint was that outside the front of the hotel there was quite a bit of trash strewn about. It would be more inviting if someone kept an eye on the front door area and picked up any litter.

Great neighborhood everything you could need is with-in a .5 mile walking radius including 2 train lines (take about 1 hr to get to Chicago center)
Staff was supper friendly and helpful we bought local bagels and toasted them at the hotel

Room was not ready even though checked in after 6pm. Young woman at check-in extremely polite and accommodating (grab whatever you want from the to-go section) Though I had requested a walk in shower was given an accessible tub. Would have requested a change but did not look at the bathroom until unpacking and relaxing so stayed. Minor maintenance is needed, but staff was wonderful.

The overnight concierge was wonderful. She was attentive and didn't leave the desk unattented for long stretches of time. It was the same individual throughout my stay. However, the daytime concierge was a different person each day who disappeared from the desk constantly. There were multiple times when I walked by the desk and found it empty and people waiting around to be checked in. On my last day, I almost missed my check out time because I had to wait for the concierge to come out of the back room. And she only came out because the phone started ringing.
Also, the shower cord in my room sprung a leak during my stay. When I looked closer, I saw that it was previously covered up instead of just being replaced.

Nice sized room, not cramped. Wished their was a fan option in the bathroom. The TV channels were 1 off from the guide making for an amusing experience but we weren't in the room much for it to matter. Decent breakfast options; pricey as you pay for convenience.

Great location, close to NU and students off campus livings. Close to great coffees and dinings. Staffs are courteous and helpful. Spacious room. Didn't use but saw the good size parking lot behind the hotel, which is not often seen in Evanston hotels.

Staff was excellent. I love having coffee available in the lobby all day. Loved having a shuttle available to us. Halls were bright and attractive in light blue and gray. Room was also bright and attractive.

The Evanston Hilton Garden Inn is a good place to stay as it is large, very clean, and close to Northwestern by foot. Also close to Starbucks, CVS, Target stores. highly recommended.

Seamless one night stay
On our way from Door Cty WI to Louisville Ky- we had a quiet Sunday night . The room was clean and spacious. We walked to a pizza restaurant nearby for dinner and we bought fruit salad and yoghurt at the little shop in the lobby for breakfast, since we didn’t want a hot meal in the restaurant. Parking was in the commercial lot next to the building. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Disappionting and way over priced.
This no more than a 2 star facility. AC didnt work. V Dr y expensive and still did not include breakfast or parking. The toilet was about 12 inches off the floor. Very very average and certainly not worth $300+. Desk staff was good.

My issue is with the breakfast offerings. For almost $17 a breakfast buffet was served with scrambled eggs, breakfast meat and red potatoes. Also fruit and bread. Or as part of the buffet, you could order omelets, pancakes or waffles.
Alternatively, you could order off the menu. I chose the buffet and my sister ordered two scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes for $12. No bread but came with coffee. Turns out that the eggs were POWDERED! I could have ordered an omelette and avoided the eggs but they served my sister the powdered eggs and food from the buffet!
Needless to say, we found better breakfast options for the remainder of our stay!

My reservation was for a room with 2 doubles. At registration they gave me a room with a king and a sofa bed. Staff tried to blame expedia. Madd a BIG deal out of switching rooms to provide what I wanted/needed.

Good hotel, reasonable price. Convenient to downtown Evanston. About 10 minute walk to the lake. Room was clean and modern. Breakfast not included so didn't try it. The only thing I would change is TVs that were internet compatible. But next time I'm in Evanston, I will definitely look to stay here.

After a long drive across 3 states we wanted to stay in a comfortable hotel and this was perfect. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The best quality. As were the towels and bathroom facilities. The breakfast was very good and my food allergies were catered for.
It was a bit far from the city centre but the facilities well made up for that. Thank you.
I’d be interested to know the brand of the pillows if possible as they were the best we’ve ever slept on.

An average hotel
The Hilton Garden Inn is centrally located for a visit in Evanston. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are of average size but a bit drab. Nothing really stands out as exceptional. In its price class, it is an average hotel.

The location is very convenient to visit Northwestern. As such it is close to stores and eateries. What I didn't like was being given a room where outside were airconditioning generators which gave off a steady loud sound. I had to go to the front desk and change it --which they did. All in all it is a very good place to stay.

I reserved a room with 2 queen beds. When I checked in I was told they only had a room with 1 king because the hotel was over sold. I don't think the hotel understands how reserving rooms works.

The hotel bartender was extremely rude and had a bad attitude. He spoke down to us and made us feel unwelcome. It made us not want to take advantage of the hospitality offered by the hotel.

Very happy. My room was clean and comfortable and (as requested) quiet. Late checkout was a nice bonus and made my day much easier. Wish they offered organic fair trade coffee pods as other hotels have. Friendly and efficient front desk staff went the extra mile to get me some room temperature bottled water.

I have been staying at his property off and on for the last five years. Lately, it has become a go to because of its value relative to other hotels in Evanston. This hotel is clean and very conveniently located to restaurants and shops in Evanston. It is clean and its rooms comfortable. It has a nice dining room if you choose not to venture out. Staff is friendly and the property has a low key feel about it. Quiet is nice and so is the price.

Stay at the Best
If you are going to Chicago stay at this Hilton. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Shout out to Dwayne and Marcus for going above and beyond to help us out of a sticky situation with accommodations on Christmas Eve and through the week. Also shout out to the housekeeping staff and everyone that worked here. Always friendly with a hello and a wave and the place is spotless!!

We enjoyed almost everything about the hotel. It was very clean and spacious, and the beds were comfy. We were able to walk to several restaurants nearby.
The downsides were the lighting in the rooms (somewhat odd and dark) and that we could hear neighbors through the walls.
Overall would stay there again!

Great stay! We stay here a lot when visiting family. Good gym, hot tub was finally working (it often was out of order). They brought the coffee back to the lobby in the morning which is much appreciated. Clean hotel, good water pressure, friendly staff, we got early check in and late check out.

NO FREE BREAKFAST!
NO FREE BREAKFAST! When did this become something common? The TV Channels and guide were wrong and the window shade didn't keep out the light in the early morning. Also there were practically no lights in the room and the ones that there were, faced down instead of up to light the room.
I would NEVER stay here ever again! For the amount of money, at the very LEAST, they should have free breakfast.

Nice hotel--however the entire hotel stinks of cleaning fluid. Too much Lysol! My son had an allergy attack right away and had to leave! I put the AC on (in the middle of the winter) to help get rid of the smell. I will never stay there again.
