Road Trip
Hotel is old and needs a renovation. Rooms are small, carpet is terrible and traffic noise from the highway keeps you awake most of the night, The ceiling in our room looked like it had black mold on it. Only positive thing about the hotel was the location and the bar!!

The updates on this hotel were really nice. I would definitely stay here again. Can’t beat the price in downtown Austin especially with the free parking!

Quick trip to Austin to see musical event and this hotel was convenient to I-35, restaurants and Moody Center. I was very pleased with all requirements for a hotel and will definitely stay at this Holiday Inn again.

Not worth the money
Rusty pipes and stains in the shower. Stains on the walls and a dirty carpet. Not a reflection on the housekeeping at all. They did a good job. There are probably better choices in Austin for the money. Musty smells and out dated entertainment. Lighting is horrible in the room ..

Desk personnel went about and brushed nd for me, I had surgery and wasn’t dismissed until
Midnight. The night clerk was so concerned and very accommodating. I would stay at this location again!

Mitchell was very helpful at the front desk during check-in and everyone was very helpful and friendly throughout my stay. Property is right near Lady Bird Lake and an easy walk into downtown. The hotel also has a shuttle to the airport and free parking. Two great perks if you do or don't have a car.

Town Lake Holiday Inn
The hotel is well located and a good value for the price. We had a couple of maintenance issues but the desk clerks were very helpful and the staff resolved the problems in good time. The room was very comfortable and quiet. We paid for the breakfast in advance and that was an excellent decision. Breakfast was good and there were few other places to eat nearby.

Older hotel but the location is great and the price was decent ($232 for two nights). Beds were comfy and the noise level was minimal even though close to major freeway. But, walking distance to downtown via the riverwalk. Very good location.

It was amazing and walking distance to Main Street “Rainey” do not book through Expedia, because they say breakfast is included but when you get to the hotel, they do not honor it, make sure to specify the cleaning crew is awesome very kind and they work very hard to keep the hotel clean

The guy who checked me in was very friendly and knowledgeable. My only complaint is the $50 incidental charge was still hanging on my credit card 5 days later and I had to call Holiday Inn to challenge it.

Best stay in Austin at a reasonable price
Clean and well appointed room. Well maintained property. Ample free garage parking. The best part is the location of the property. The walking trails near the lake and Rainey street are both within walking distance.

The property is very well located and facilities are very good. This is the second time I stayed at this good and convenient hotel. The staff at the restaurant was extremely helpful and courteous. The staff at the front desk was also polite. My only two observations are: 1) the check-in was a bit long because of a queue as there was only one attendant that evening; and 2) the bed-side table's lamp had only one of two bulbs and although I reported that issue, the lacking bulb was never replaced.

At night it gets loud. Hotel staff should remind people to be quiet, you reserve a room not the whole God Damn floor.

Nice overall. The service, location, and staff are great. The only thing is they put me in a connecting room and there is no sound proofing at all. I was able to hear every sound, word and move by guests using the other room despite locked door in between.

Mitchell checked us in at the front desk and he was amazing! So nice and personable! Offered extra toiletries and towels if needed! He explained where all amenities were and invited us to try the restaurant since we were checking in so late! We will go back in hopes of bumping into Mitchell again! Customer service adult it’s finest!!

Ice machine on 7th floor wasn't working. Cable TV was in and out all day Saturday. When the A/C comes on there's a huge pop which woke me on several occasions .
Saturday night there was a tremendous smell of pot Throughout the 7th floor.But most of all the girl at the front desk was absolutely pathetic. She was on her phone when I tried to check inthe first time,she actually made me wait for 25 seconds while she finished her text.Her customer service itself lowered this hotel from a 4 star to a 3.I randomly walked by the desk sunday morning and heard her telling her co worker that she is pissed off all the time because of them.
Thats all I caught .
The overnight guy at the front desk recommended breakfast at torinos or something close that.He said it was really close. When I googled it they closed the austin location in june and relocated to buda which was 18 miles away. When I checked out this morning The guy was training a girl on her first day.He told me he was in training mode and it will take a few minutes, thats great but no one asked how was your stay or thanks for staying with us. I have loved holiday inn town lake for 45 years. I just don't know if they can compete for my business any longer.

2 night stay
The hotel was conveniently located. It was walking distance to the capitol. It has free parking. Also it is located beside the river with a walking path. The bed was comfortable it was quiet even though it is just off I 35 Besides the hotel restaurant there were many restaurants to choose from including coffee shops

Holiday Inn Austin trip
Mitchell, front desk worker, was excellent! Very warm, welcoming & friendly. Comfortable room & excellent breakfast service. Convenient & FREE self parking was a big plus. Easy on/off freeway location. All rooms with a lakeside view were sold out—bummer.

Everything was as I expected. The facility was nice and clean and fairly modern on the inside, the outside of the structure, however, could use a makeover. As a native Austinite, I remember when this hotel was built back in the 1980s, so I can appreciate how nice it can look inside and out.

Hotel was nice! Room was nice. Bed was nice. Only zonk was the cleanliness was lacking a bit. Stains of who know what on the wall in the bathroom. Light switch had gunk all over it. Who knows the last time it was cleaned. It was actually a huge turn off. I’m a very clean person so that kind of stuff will make or break my hotel stay experience. And being next to the highway was meh. Noise all night long. But other than that, my stay was good! And the staff was extremely friendly!

Front desk staff was awesome. Room was clean and quiet. If you are in the tower, request a room away from the ice machines, as they are noisy.
Access from the service road is a little scary first time - there are way too many places to turn that are wrong, and signage could be better. But after the first time, you get the hang of it.
Breakfast wasn’t worth $15, but you’re paying for the convenience. Surprisingly, although it’s a buffet, they have servers to clear and bring you beverages — and they are friendly and efficient. Nice to eat on actual plates, rather than disposables. Food was better than average for a hotel buffet, but still disappointing. How do you screw up oatmeal?

We stayed on a high floor on the tower, facing the river. What a view! Out room was spacious. The bed was comfortable. However, I personally wished for better pillows. The ones provided were too soft for my taste. Parking was very convenient and the location of the hotel was perfect for what we came here for. Breakfast was good and plentiful, for an extra fee. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We will surely stay here again if visiting Austin in the future.

Far exceeded my expectations. Great location. Had a room overlooking the lake--beautiful! Property is clean. Breakfast buffet much better than most. Pool was great and place relatively quiet, but it is across a busy I 35. Nonetheless, didn't hear much of highway noise. Will return!

Cockroaches in the bathroom. And the billing issues I’m having with them now isn’t worth the hassle. I paid for 2 nights when I checked in on Friday then checked out Sunday AM and now they’re trying to charge random amounts to my debit card. Not worth it.
