None of the restaurants were available. All were closed due to construction (which should have been disclosed to me but was not). The hotel staff mis-represented the charges of a room upgrade; all the outside pools were not heated. Horrible experience. We will not be returning. Very disappointed with this experience.

Construction going on and not all things where open. Rooms where medium for a high end resort.
Have to pay for beach chairs for a place that is $300 a night plus resort fees you would think they would offer complimentary beach chairs.
Understaffed for restaurant. We where off season but 45 plus minutes to get breakfast is not good.
Had an executive suite mildew smell every time you walked in. The A/C did not get cool even in in November.
Pool area and bar where nice. Great beach (except for chairs and umbrellas.)
Maybe ok after renovations but wait and see.

The room was not as clean as I would have liked upon first impression (hair in the tub, some old urine around back of toilet). The bedding was odd as it was a sheet, a blanket, and another sheet on top of the blanket. Almost like they tried making a duvet out of sheets. We ended up just taking that top sheet of because it was just in the way. The pillows were the absolute worst I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. Overall, the room seemed a bit outdated. There was peeling paint in a few places and the fridge kept nothing cold. It was hit or miss when it came to customer service. You either get amazing service or terrible service, there really was no in between. The buffet and continental breakfasts were absolutely NOT worth the price for what you get. I would have given the place less stars except that the outdoor areas were really great and the location to the beach was amazing. Next time, I’ll probably look for a different hotel in the same area so I can still have the great beach access. Also, be aware that there is a $40 a day “hotel fee” that is due at the end of your stay.

We stayed here several years ago and loved it, but this trip we were a little disappointed. The restaurant choices were less, our chairs and umbrella got picked up an hour before closing time as we swam in the ocean. The coffee shop machine was broken. we chose it for the amenities but they were either lacking or not available. I was also a little disappointed how much it seemed anyone working outdoors didn’t enjoy their job or waiting on people. We sat down for lunch one day and we’re never waited on all together. The only friendly employees we seemed to run into were the parking/valet employees.

My husband and I loved our stay! We will definitely be back! We loved the private beach access, the restaurants available on site, shopping, customer service was amazing, the rooms were very clean! Nothing bad to say about this property! If you’re going to Destin I would highly recommend this location at Miramar Beach! You won’t be disappointed!

This is our 2nd time at Hilton and we enjoy the property. Love the outside bar and staff. The kitchen really has it nailed down: delicious, quality, and covenient. Registration desk was awesome again. The umbrella service is expensive on top of the resort fee. One issue is they start pulling the umbrellas and chairs early and you pay until 5 p.m. Housekeeping was a little off their game. Had to request service and towels.
I would have given a 5 🌟 if those 2 areas were nailed done more. You pay a lot, so it should be consistent. I still highly recommend staying there.

Electrical outlets didn’t work, tub didn’t drain so you stood in shin high water by the time the shower was over, paid for oceanfront and got ocean view, WiFi was terrible. Not worth the price of admission.

The resort is stunning! The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because they put me in the wrong room the first day/night. Immediately after getting into the room I called the front desk to allow them correct their error, but was met with resistance by the front desk. This gave me an unsettling feeling the rest of the day and through the night. The next morning I took a trip to the front desk to prove (with my itinerary and online pictures from their own website) that they put my family and I in the wrong room. Disappointing that we lost one night in the wrong room. The front desk staff need to be retrained on the differences between their rooms. One even tried to blame it on the fact that I booked with a third party (Expedia).
Hilton eventually realized their error and once we got to the room that we actually booked, we were greeted by unobstructed, spectacular views and more space for my family.

Rude and lack of privacy in room
If you go be prepared to leave several hours before you have to. From 9:30 to 11:15 entered and tried to enter four times while I was showering and getting ready to leave. Even though I had the room until 11:30.

First off, I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff. Everyone from the hotel staff to the restaurant to the outdoor activities was fantastic. You don’t necessarily have to leave the property for a short vacation. However, the restaurants are extremely expensive, but the portions are very good. We never had a bad meal, but again, the pricing was outrageous. Do yourself a favor and go to the local grocery store for the simple things such as water and snacks and stock up your room. If you drive off property, the traffic is horrendous during season / holidays. Parking on site can be a challenge. I’m not sure the hotel has full control of the parking lot as finding a space as a hotel guest sometimes took us 10 to 15 minutes of driving around the property. The activities off property were very good. Our hotel room was very well taken care of by the hotel staff.

My stay was awesome and the staff was very nice and friendly. My room was clean with a lovely view. The beach and pools were easily accessible. The food was good just wish there were more options, not a seafood lover, or a big fan of burgers. Paying 25 dollars a day for pizza is not ideal either. There are other places close by off the property to eat also, that made.it a little better. I will rate my overall stay a 5 out of 5. Will visit again.

Great Experience!
Our check in was after 4pm but we got there a bit earlier.The concierge were so kind to grant us access to the pool and beach area until check in. They even went the extra mile and messaged when our room was ready, which was a couple hours before our actual check in. The resort also had towels available for guest which was a life saver. Overall great experience.

The property is well maintained and the cleaning staff was great. Great place for families, everything is close by and easy to get to. The front desk staff was not very accommodating when asked for an extended check out and the baby crib was not usable, they definitely need any upgrade with infant crib especially with the number of families that visit.

This property has a big advantage bc its right on the beach and close to shops and restaurants. They could have lower costs for the food. Kinda pricey to pay $12 for a personal size pizza. Now on the rooms. They DEFINITELY need to renovate the rooms. We would walk in our room after being out and it smelled of mildew. The bath room needed to redone also. The tub was gross and there was smell there too. Also i dont think they clean the room deeply in between reservations. On leaving I went to check under neath bed to make sure I didnt forget anything and there was trash from previous guests. I guess they dont check under.

We love Destin and Sandestin! We have been visiting the area for years. We've stayed at other hotels, rented houses and even an RV park. The Hilton is pricy but awesome! They have everything needed for a great family trip. This place is fantastic for families with children. It's starting to look a little dated but everything is very adequate.

When we first arrived went to the beach since we made it In early so we could wait on a room!! Then we got a text saying our room was ready so I checked in at the front got our key and the valet man helped us to our room with our suitcases and bags!! He was so nice and polite!! But when we made it to the room it was locked for some reason and it he had to call 2 times for someone to let us in!!then they finally came after 15mins of us waiting in the hallway!! I was just ready to get relaxed and cleaned up!! But besides all that we had an also stay and it was very nice and clean hotel to stay and they food was amazing!!i will stay again when im in the area again

Resort “nickel and dimes” you to death. Must leave the property to not pay extremely high food cost and over priced drinks. Nice facility but plan to spend an additional $300-400 per day to eat onsite; or drive 10-15 minutes to get anything else.

We were able to relax, rest and were not surrounded by a mass of people. The beach area was clean and not crowded with plenty of space to enjoy the scenery and water. Hallways were quiet and we were able to rest and sleep late into the day.
Ladies spa was the perfect place for me to have a couple of hours to myself without disturbance.
Sushi and staff was AMAZING!
Only complaint was the Coffee Shop, they never got my regular, standard Cafe' Mocha right. One day it was not well blended, next day it was too cold for a hot mocha, and 3rd day the Venti was half full and again not hot enough.
You have a beautiful place and I wish I could just move in and live there.
PS. the beds were AMAZING!

Nice place for getaway. Easy access to shopping areas and other activities. The resort has a lot of activities to offer. I do not recommend the breakfast buffet. It’s overpriced. They’re plenty of great breakfast spots in the area that the shuttle will take you to.

This property offered everything I was looking for for our spring break vacation with our 4 children. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was always friendly and helpful. We were truly treated superbly! The views, amenities, and food were also impeccable!

My cousin got married at this property on Sunday Jan 15th and everything was beautiful.

Property was fantastic! Really enjoyed this stay. Only thing I had issue with is the beach chair rentals. You have to pay, but then when you go to use your chairs there are juts random people sitting in them.

First of all, if you're a Hilton Honors Gold member, don't expect to have your status honored, you'll be told as much by an argumentative front desk staff. Second, the place is a food dessert. They've got a sushi bar, some pizzas and a few sandwiches, that's it. Third, it's in a state of disrepair: It took three days and three requests (see front desk comment above) to have our phone repaired so we could. even order room service. The hotel is in a generally run down state, save for the open areas which are well presented. The rooms are dingy and old though. But...back to the front desk experience! Upon arrival, we were given a room on the third floor. I had paid for a beach view and my Hilton profile specifies high floor so, was hoping for something decent but, was told that they were only booking the first three floors because of "fall renovations". In point of fact, the room had a beach view...over the closed up for the winter beach restaurant...HOWEVER, on our third night, imagine my surprise when I noticed towels hanging along the balconies of the top floors and lights on along said top floors? Hmmm, so much for fall renovations. I can only surmise the front desk clerk is both lazy and a liar. Shame on me, this was my second try with this hotel and, I was reminded almost instantly why I swore I'd not return after my first stay, It's sad as the view is stellar, and the staff, beyond the front desk are engaging but the property is really poorly managed.

I am a repeat customer, and sadly will not go again after my past stay a couple days ago. We actually left early due to our stay being so subpar.
On arrival, were told there may be sounds due to renovations being made but if we are experiencing this, we are to push 0, and they will correct it right away. About 30 minutes at the start of our stay, what only could be described as a jackhammer started going either right above or right next to our room. This went on for hours, and it was so loud we couldn’t even hear ourselves yell to each other in our room. We called as they stated to, but was put on hold and never assisted. We left the room, and came back with the same thing going on two hours later.
It was rainy and chilly, so we were stuck in the hotel because of the rains and could not even relax.
The next morning we were wakened by the same jackhammer dead out of our sleep.
After leaving early, we were not refunded or discounted for our horrid experience that night. We were told they couldn’t help us with a discount because we never asked for help. The ‘director of the front desk’ stated if they did not help on the phone when we called, we could of come to the front desk. A $400/night hotel wanted their guests to come down 12 floors to seek assistance for something they should know they are causing because they do not know how to answer the phone? I let the maintenance man know in the elevator, yet nothing was fixed or corrected.

You took me halfway there!
Enjoyed the fact that I had two separate views of the beach. I would have designed the rear walkway to be on the ground, not blocking the view. The private patio is also nice except when you go out there the relentless noise of the water filtration system below and to the south is terrible, I would enclose that. Finally, The last half of the first day and all of the next day was filled with the sound of a work crew hammer-drilling in the room above me. Save your renovations for Jan/Feb, and above all don't charge full price for a room if you are renovating nearby.

This was our first time to visit/stay at the Hilton Sandestin. I was traveling with my two children for the first time since my husband passed in May. I wanted to take them somewhere they could enjoy, have fun, and make some new memories, but it had to be a place where I wouldn't be worried sick about their safety.
While this was VERY costly to us and the budget we have to work with, the stay ticked all of those boxes. They had so much fun playing at the beach by day and the pool in the late afternoon, evening. It was so convenient to use the outdoor showers for rinsing off, grabbing food poolside and then just taking the elevator to our room when we were exhausted.
I am "anti" resort fees/charges. I had thought I reviewed everything thoroughly before booking only to realize after the fact that the $40/per DAY resort fee was in addition to the nightly room rate, taxes, and so forth.
Food & drinks are expensive on site as well. I supposed the idea is that you get what you pay for and you're paying for the convenience of not having to get showers, dressed, and drive off-site for those things. That does have value, but how much value I suppose is the arguable question.
The bellmen were phenomenal! We are valet, bellman type folks. We are DIY, frugal, most bang for the buck southern country folks. However, without our strong husband/dad to help us with all the luggage, gear, the bellman became our best ally since luggage carts are NOT available to guests.

Extremely beautiful, picture-perfect location with most everything you need right onsight. Very friendly staff from the beginning to the end, in every area we interacted with (front desk, concierge, bar and wait staff, beach support, room service).
In-room food was pretty good, though I think overpriced. However, the convienece of being able to eat breakfast in bed or on the balcony overlooking the ocean makes it worth it at least a couple times.
I wasnt overly impressed with the room cleanliness upon arrival (4/5 stars), but it had obviously been cleaned and wasnt gross, just a matter of attention to detail (water spots on the vanity fixtures, some on the mirrors, minor dust in the corners, etc.) The only other downside was that the onsite bar closes at 11. Would like to see that open until at least 12, but stop at Walmart or Winn Dixie on your way in and you're good to go.
Very family-friendly environment; looking forward to bringing the kids in the future.
All in all, I recommend. (And plan on going again.

What a beautiful property in the most beautiful part of Destin! Check in was very easy and we loved how there were so many great dining options right on the hotel property. A couple things I would change is a few of the dining options and the Beach side bar all closed relatively early in the day (I believe 3pm)? Another thing that I wished would have been a little different is housekeeping is only available if you stay five or more nights. We were there for 4 with two little children, it would’ve been nice to at least get a nice deep cleaning once. Aside from that I think the place is absolutely phenomenal! We will definitely be back!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful resort. I wish the kiddie pool had a bit more to it. Also some dangerous umbrella stands were bolted to the ground and a tripping hazard. Cones were set up but that just attracts a toddler even more. I wish they would add a fountain of some kind there, baby slide. More chairs etc..
