Overall a nice stay.
The veiw from the room was absolutely beautiful. It was pretty clean, and overall a wonderful hotel. However, we were checked into the wrong room. We reserved a King bed room, and somehow got stuck in a double queen. Other than that, I'd say the stay was pretty nice.

Great view of back bay Christian Science church! Shower was not hot enough and water pressure is weak. Bed was extremely comfortable! Very convenient location.

Overnight medical appointments

We loved the view and the fact we could walk the city and be at Fenway in about 10 minutes. However, we did not get the room we had clearly reserved and paid for, we were put in a room with 2 beds instead of the king and the room we reserved would’ve been way bigger than the room we ended up in! Other than that, our stay was great! Do not recommend breakfast at the hotel either.

Great experience!
We came from NYC for a quick weekend getaway prior to upcoming medical procedures, needing to get our minds off a pending hospital stay. Even though we arrived early, we were able to check in early and the room was GORGEOUS! Everything was so comfy and made the time together that much more special. We even asked the front desk how we could purchase the pillows they used on the bed because they were so soft and luxurious. I just wish the parking wasn't $60 for guests who are staying at the hotel. Luckily we were able to find street parking. Everyone was so nice and I hope that we will be able to come back for another stay sometime soon.

Upon check-in, I wish the front desk had notified us that complimentary breakfast was available to guests. The staff did give us some complimentary snacks when we left, but it would have saved us some money had we known breakfast and snacks were available throughout our stay.

Surprising fees!
It was fine though they were not upfront about the “urban destination fees” which were hefty. When we said we should have been informed about this charge when we checked in (at check in they did explain that there was an upfront incidental charge per night which was surprising as well), we were told we should have read the fine print on the website. It was not a pleasant way to end our trip.

Good location, less amenities
The hotel location is good and very closed back bay and Boston copley place mall. The staff is friendly and provide early check-in because I arrived Boston early 1hr. The room is a little smaller than your expectation. Room is clean, but the bathroom shower has some leaks. I would like to report 2 bad things. The first thing is microwave. In the hotel.com website, the hotel indicated that some room provided microwave(some room does not), I select the microwave's room for uber-eat warm because it's Christmas holiday and most restaurants are closed. But there are no microwave in my room after check-in. The second day, I go to front-desk for room change, the clerk told me there are no microwave room in whole hotel. They can put microwave in your room, but it's charge $25/day. He suggest that I go to 1st floor reception and use their microwave machine for free. So I have to go down to warm my burgers in next 2 days. The second thing is bottle water I purchased in the hotel store is a little expensive, $7/bottle, I spent $14 there.

I don’t like that the corner rooms have balconies that are bolted shut. And I don’t like how small the bathroom is compared to how big the actual room is. Other than that customer service was excellent.

The only complaint I had was that the room was soooo hot. Turned the thermostat down to 60 and it still continued to run. When I told the front desk, they told me that they only have a 2 pipe system-one for hot and one for cold. Hot is only one for winter. Told me to shut the thermostat off and open the window, and they could provide a fan if that didn't work. I felt that the system should have shut off according to the temperature. Not sure I would stay again because of being unable to control room temperature properly. I imagine in the summer, it is the opposite where it is too cold.

Wonderful, accommodating staff. My reservation required a lot of communication and at every turn the staff at this hotel handled our requests with patience and care. For a large chain hotel I felt the service was thoughtful and personal. Thank you Hilton Back Bay. Will definitely be back.

We liked the hotel and location. The only issue we had was the HVAC system in the room. The thermostat didn't work so we were unable to adjust the temperature and struggled with how hot it was at night. I reported to the staff and they sent an engineer but they did not solve the issue and instead just turned off the system.

It would've been a perfect trip if they could've been upfront about the fees. When I bought the room I was told I'd pay ~$30 resort fee upon checking in. I checked in, and they said they need $100 deposit, which is perfectly fine, but then they took almost $200 out of my bank instead and wouldn't refund the extra charge until after checkout. Not to mention they refused to tell me how much parking would be, and it turned out to be a ridiculous $60 for one night. The room was lovely, the location is exactly what I needed, but if the hotel can charge me more than what the front desk staff tell me it costs then they should be able to tell me why.

Our room temp was 76 degrees when we arrived. Tried to adjust and vents continued to blow hot air. Ended up turning it off and cracking window just to breathe. Worst night of sleep and no one seemed to care at front desk when informed of the issue

We always stay here when visiting Boston. The hotel is walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops in the back Bay Area and has clean rooms and a nice lobby bar. Check out Flour across the street for coffee/ breakfast and Zuma which is also across the street for a fantastic dinner!

A great hotel in a nice area near Newbury. Just beware of the extra fee of $25 a night for “urban activity”. They do give it back as a food credit, but if you don’t plan to eat or drink there it gets tacked on to your hotel bill.

Got there at 5 pm for a 3 pm check in. Room wasnt ready. Told 20 more min. Got keys to the room. Went in and there were people in that room. Went back down to the desk and told us it would be another half hour. When i complained she told me it was an upgade. From a corner room with lots of city windows to a smaller room with 1 window. Comped free breakfast and an appetizer. Not pleased for a so called 4 star

It's a hip place with nice decor. What i didn't like was that the rooms are way too dark. The walls were black, the rug was black, there was so much black and very little lighting. I turned all the lights on and still room was so dark. That was a big turn off for me and my guests. The bathroom is so small that in order to use the toilet you have to close the door completely in order to sit if not your legs will bang into the door. I couldn't believe how small. I will not stay at this place again.

We stayed for a vacation to Boston. The place was clean with the exception of the patio doors. It was a corner balcony that they must’ve sealed the doors so no one could go out there (probably so they couldn’t smoke) but that meant the maids couldn’t go out there either. The windows were so hard to see out of. They were filthy. I think that would be our only complaint.

I had booked a room with a king bed and upon checking into my room found it to be a room with 2 twins. I was told there were no rooms with a king and there was nothing that could be done at that time other than a note left for the manager. The manager did reach out the next morning with an available king room - Thank you I was disappointed that there were no water glasses in the room, that the coffee cups were paper and that the pot of coffee ordered from room service came as a medium(?) cup of coffee in a to-go container and paper cup. When I asked about a coffee cup the staff said he would go get me one - Thank you! Overall, a good place, a great view and nice staff. Thank You,

The parking was a little scary getting in and taking the very old looking elevator. I lost a sweater and they claim to not have seen it even though there was no way that it wasn’t seen by staff as they were cleaning the room. The views were nice, the food was good but the coffee cups were not clean.

We reserved a King Room, and when we arrived, we were given a double. I called down and was told "there were no other rooms, sorry". That is not acceptable. When we arrived three people were clustered around one reception screen. Valet Parking was not in service, and we were told to self park-when going into the garage, two attendants-both wearing "Valet" jackets, one on his phone sitting on the curb, the other was there to move the cone out of the way so that we could enter the garage. Not good. No offer of help with bags whatsoever, and no bellman in sight. Not good. Restaurant/bar in lobby was playing Christmas music-in late September! Not good. Room was clean, but shower had dirty grouting, and had one of those roll up mats for the bathtub that was stained and grungy. Basically a 4 out of 10. Convenient to Fenway Park-yes, but do yourself a favor and stay at the Sheraton across the street instead.

Great location close to Fenway. First time in Boston and would definitely stay here again but there were a couple things that were disappointing .. One thing was no microwave in the room. For the cost the rooms should have a microwave. This is the first time I've stayed in a hotel and it didn't have one. Another thing was the "resort fee" they charged. It was for a $25 credit per night towards the restaurant etc.. but if you don't use it you lose it but still have to pay it. I've also never stayed in a hotel that did that. I've stayed in hotels where they GAVE you a credit towards their restaurant if they didn't offer breakfast. Over all I'd stay again now i know what to expect.

I paid extra for a corner king room and got a regular double. Front desk was polite but said they “ran” out of kings and I could talk to manager the next day. Room was nice but lobby felt a little chaotic with nonguests loitering. Room service was delivered in a bag like takeout. Food mediocre at best.

Very convenient location - short walks to Fenway Park, the Museum of Fine Arts, and several T stations. Millenia who checked us in was especially nice, and Amin who stored our luggage was a big help. We parked at Riverside and took the T into town; the Hynes Convention Center stop was very close to the hotel. Lots of construction in the area (plus the cost of parking downtown) made me especially glad we didn't bring the car in. Our room was very comfortable and perfectly clean. Kudos to the hotel for using bulk containers of shampoo, bath gel, etc.

The location and rooms were very nice and clean. The hotel staff was excellent-and the bar /restaurants service was excellent. It was disappointing that there was no pool or hot tub any longer. The hotel should not have it listed on its website-as it is closed permintely. Part of my chooseing this hotel was due to the pool and hot tub.
