The property is looking very unkept. Carpets were worn, paint was chipped, mattress was old and needs replaced, TV has limited channels and non working DVD player, sink faucet dripped, no microwave, battery on entrance died and had to wait for security to get in room, Koi ponds were dirty with unhealthy fish that need attention, hotel logos were missing letters, the Bazaar smelled of rotting fish near a few restaurants- just not what was expected for the price or level of hotel we paid for.
The staff was courteous and pleasant.

Overall very happy. Everything is within walking distance. Although would like to see cheaper parking for folks staying at the resort. Also, resort should have access to pools for guests staying only. Noticed people not staying at the resort enjoying the pools.

This is the worst experience that I ever had with. This hotel is dirty as I found multiple hairs on the bedsheet and dust in the furniture. And the charges are not reasonable and unexplainable in a way that they charged me for deposit and refunded to me as I checkout but then after a month they billed me for the same amount again without any notices. Now I still can’t get this money back as they claimed that as the resort fee but why don’t you tell me at the very beginning and tell me that everything will be refunded to your card. I don think the receptionist is doing their job properly. I don’t recommend this hotel as your visit as it will ruin your vacation for sure.

Wouldn’t stay here again
The good- food was good or great. Staff were friendly. Room was large but average.
The bad- music from 7-11 pm every night was so loud I could hear every word clearly even with noise cancelling headphones. Couldn’t even watch TV. No hot water for shower the entire 5 day stay. Left over food from previous guests in fridge. No shampoo in wall mounted dispenser and never filled over stay.

Not a bad spot to stay, the only thing that we didn't enjoy was the restaurants in the resort. They were passable but not good. We had to walk outside of the resort to find great food to eat.

Maybe search elsewhere.
Large rooms which were clean. Restaurants are expensive. Took forever to get service just for drinks (with minimal people there). Has a enterprise car rental on grounds, it is more expensive but worth the convenience. This is my 3rd stay here and think for the $$ they charge look elsewhere as there is nothing that stands out from the other hotels.

Beautiful place. Pretty sure I paid for an ocean view, then was told we were upgraded to ocean view. Room was satisfactory. It was our first time visiting Hawaii. Wasn’t too happy with all the hidden fees. But we will be back, now that we know what to expect.

Didnt like when the convention arrived and the closed two of the pools for two days. It was hard enough to find a spot at the pools without them closing two of them. Wish they had a little more info on the buses and how to ride them. But the room was fantastic

I'd highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a resort-style experience. The hotel is massive, tons of shopping! Great location, the beachfront is huge (probably the largest in Oahu). Starlight Luau was great. Only negative was room needed upgrading (carpet and paint). I'd definitely stay here again!

The resort was amazing. The only thing that i noticed was the room’s bathroom it was not properly cleaned upon arrival. I saw mildew or mold on the hand rail in the shower which was a little disappointing and gross.

Great check-in. They have a porter that can take care of the bags. Due to the size of this hotel, that is important as the bus dropped us off away from the registration counter and our room is in a different tower.

We enjoyed our time at HHV with our two kids. We had recently been to Waikiki so we were happy to be further away from the strip. The pools were nice but very busy so the kids preferred the beach/lagoon. The hotel itself is more dated than we expected (room fitout, technology etc). We stayed at embassy suites as well and found that was better in this regard. I would definitely recommend to others but wasn't as wow'd as expected.

I wish the Ali'i hotel was modernized & updated. The price of the room was very expensive to experience old carpet, old furniture, old mini fridge, no microwave and just a basic room.

Very very noisy. Live band outside room until late and when we asked to move because I was there for a work conference and not to “party” they charged a room fee charge, and would only allow us to pay for an upgrade because nothing else was available- equivalent to almost $1000 in extra charges over 2 days.

We essentially had no access to and from our room for the last 4 days of our stay. We could not access elevators without an extremely long wait. Sometimes up to 30 minutes. Having a disability prevented us using the stairs since we were on the 12th floor.

We have stayed before a few years back and had an amazing stay. However, this time, we made arrangements for a late check in due to a flight change. I called 4 times to confirm - twice before the check in day and twice the day of and they gave our room away. We agreed to stay the one night in the room they had available and were told that we could check in to our assigned room the next morning. We ended up losing over half a day waiting for them to change our rooms because we had to wait for a text and we did not know if we had to check out of our current room etc because where we were told to see a resort staff member, no one was there. Lack of communication was frustrating and being treated like we were being inconvenient made the beginning of our stay very frustrating. The resort is very safe but the cleanliness of the public areas has decreased. The bathrooms and main pool area were not cleaned consistently. The room was clean and well kept. The pizza restaurant is excellent. The tapas bar had tables but some had no chairs so people had to stand and seemed understaffed on busy nights, ie firework Friday. The shopping is good and there are plenty of activities for the beach or recreation. We had a late return flight and when I checked in, I was told that we could have a day room and store our luggage before we headed to the airport. This did not happen, they stored our luggage and we had to change in the public washroom.

Felt a bit unsafe at night especially with kids due to the amount of homeless people setting up tents and sleeping on the resort beach. Would like to see some more nighttime security presence around the resort/ beach area.

We went 3 days without hot water only to be told that we needed to let the water run a while. The Hilton's message on their TV was to conserve water as much as possible then we were expected to run the water for over 15 minutes before getting hot water. What a waste!! We were disgusted. The Diamond Head tower is old and in need of updating.

Great pools and restaurants. Quiet area of Waikiki. We had 2 adults and 2 children in our room but regularly they didn’t leave enough towels. Beds were small too but comfortable.

It is sooo expensive and to much extra charge valet fee per day 75 tax …when I check out the day I get invoice $700 more ..what the … I looked at the invoice again and recalculated, but they added 2 more days to the valet parking price. I don't understand. I must have entered the date of my stay on the computer, but how did the calculation come out wrong? When I first complained, the woman at the desk.. They said it was right and not a smile face like angry..We ate and went back to the hotel and re correction If I didn't have time and I didn't care I didn’t come back we are would lose that money. So bad service

This property was very comfortable for our multi generational family of 7. Lots to do and see. Pools were fun and warm. Work out facility was good. Enjoyed many of the shops and dining/bar options. Whether you want casual dining on the beach or elegant overlooking the ocean, Hilton Village has so much to offer. Definitely recommend! Luggage storage was great as well as help facilitating transportation to/from airport. Thank you HHV!

This property is beautiful but very busy! Pool chairs were hard to get and the beaches were packed. The property is safe but within blocks of the property we felt a little uneasy with young kids.

Beautiful property right on Waikiki. This property is enormous and at times elevators could be difficult to get into as they were full at certain times. The property is very walkable and features many different shops, pools, restaurants, and even sculptures and history of the resort to read about. All the staff were friendly, and accommodating. Our one room wasn’t available until four hours after checkout although they did wave some of our resort fee. Speaking of resort fee the hotel charges a ridiculous $50.00 a day resort fee. The beach is free and this fee doesn’t include the rental of the $90.00 a day loungers the hotel rents out at a gauging price. I didn’t even use any of the pools while there so I’m not even sure why I had to pay this fee. Still the resort is beautiful even if it is a little overcrowded. Bring lots of money though as everything is expensive.

Fantastic beach location with outstanding views.
Great outdoor environment with wonderful village ambience and a pleasure to walk around. We enjoyed the “Property Historic Wall” and selection of shops in the village. The Rainbow Tower elevators were a problem, especially at high traffic times. We more often than not had long waits using the elevators. Our overall experience was fantastic and we throughly enjoyed our stay.

This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed here over 20 years. It’s definitely needing some updating. Your prices are insanely expensive, with no ROI. My family and I are sticking to Cabo, MX. for beach vacations moving forward. Too expensive in Hawaii, and quality is lacking.

It's a good resort with great location, close to beach and park, lots of shopping places, kids really like so many pools.
Still over priced, service is not good, it takes twice as much as usually take if you want extra services. Not so much facility except pool. Gym is on 4th floor of other building, so I don't have time to take the journey. Parking is difficult and expensive, which is common in whole Oahu area.

The property was much bigger then i anticipated, but it was convenient for me as I traveled solo.
My room was not the beach view I thought i was getting when i booked. And the building & room was very dated.
Other than that, it was a nice stay.

The staff was nice and the rooms were clean, however I reserved a king bed and there was not 1 available the 1st night of my stay. Once we finally got our room with a king bed, the air conditioning in the room was broken and leaked throughout the night. The parking situation is a mess if you rent a car- be prepared to spend $$ per night. I found that Waikiki in general was hectic. The beaches were not the same as I remember and a lot of homeless on the beach. I’ll definitely opt to stay on the westside of Oahu next time for a more r&r vaction vibe.

We were placed in Khalia tower which can max be 3* too far from beach and everything with old scratched furniture!! After i complained the moved us to another tower 2nd building from beach with partial ocean view which was great and inspite the first disappointment i would definitely return to this hotel again!

Well, first of all, one of two light bulbs above mirror in bathroom did not work. Sliding door to lanai was hard to open and close. The ac filter was dirty.

Shopping and food options were great, we especially liked the food at Tropics, but didn't care for the food at the Tapas Bar. Beach access was excellent and our oceanfront views were amazing. We also loved the Friday night fireworks. The hotel room was just a tad outdated, but since we spent very little time in the room that didn't entirely matter. Sleeping was comfortable. The elevators provided a bit of a wait during peak hours, which was interesting, but not a deal breaker. Overall we enjoyed the hotel and amenities and we would consider this hotel again in the future.

Resort view rooms are horribly loud. Especially if travelling with toddlers. We got turned away from breakfast an hour before the scheduled end time, so get there early! Parking is insanely expensive.

The resort had everything within walking distance from your room. The beach is one of the biggest in Waikiki. You wouldn’t need to leave the resort as there are many activities to choose from or pay for.
