This hotel was under major renovation and was not disclosed prior to booking. No bar, no restaurant, no pool. A total rip off and total disappointed. We will not book with Expedia again when they don’t disclose important facts. And we will make sure to tell everyone and blog about this experience unless we are refunded a significant amount of the $500 cost of the room. The hotel told us these facts WERE disclosed to Expedia so it was total negligence, or maybe unscrupulous, that it was not disclosed to us prior to booking. Very unhappy.

This is a construction site… I’m paying $300 a night for a resort with a restaurant and pool and all of that is a construction site. I have no idea how that’s not listed in the description or why they’re still charging full price. The staff is friendly and the room is clean but there are no amenities. I’m feeling like I’ve been taken advantage of.

The hotel is under renovation with 1 temporary lousy restaurant. Pool is under renovation. Very noisy with workers and equipment. There was no mention of the renovation when we booked!!!!! There are only 3 floors available during the reno. They are still charging regualr prices with tbe ongoing renovation. Beach is great and is the only option. Buyer beware

Terrible stay
The hotel is undergo a major constructing phase that no one told us about . The entire lobby , check in area is
one great mess. The staff virtual non existent, construction banging at 7 am in the morning on Saturday made sleeping impossible, yellow bath water was disgusting, etc.

This hotel is under a huge renovation. Please be kind to the employees. They are doing everything they can to make the experience nice. We knew going in the property was being renovated. We still enjoyed free beach chairs. The pool. The restaurant and bar.

We had a big nice 2 night stay. But disappointed the pool was closed. With no construction on the piol side it could have been open. The cold h20 handle in the room was stripped and we struggled to tien it off. The shower head was amazing along with the view.

Full disclosure: I do understand that this place was under construction. I am taking that into consideration for this review.
I have stayed at numerous Hiltons. It is my hotel of choice. But this place was awful.
There was strips of carpet torn in my room, I tried to avoid and ended up stepping on a piece and that like cut my foot up.
So I am staying here, knowing it's under construction... I asked for a late check out and they would not BUDGE.
I said please I have a baby (11 month granddaughter) and our dilemma is that we need her to take a nap before we go to a family function at 2:00. We only wanted to stay until 1:00. They would not accommodate us.
Not only am I a well traveled individual, who has stayed at Hiltons and they will definitely accommodate a request such as this... but also my friends, who were staying in the same place, had a late check out until 2:00.
I would NEVER recommend this place.

This property is under a huge renovation yet everyone was so bright and cheery and welcoming. It was a very nice place to stay and we are looking forward to seeing the completed job.

My husband and I have been staying at this Hilton on the beach for the past 7 years. This particular stay was a bit of a challenge, as they were in the middle of a total renovation. So some of the amenities were not available and everyday there was noise from the construction.
With all that being said, you'd think that someone like me, who had reservations since March for our October stay,(no mention of renovation until a week before our stay)that we should of received some sort of discount or at least not to be charged the lousy resort fee's they are so proud of.
But we'll still go back next year because we love the place and we can't wait to see the reno when its done.

This property was under heavy renovations. It looked like a construction site when I arrived. They were understaffed and many of the normal amenities were not provided originally (like bathroom towels). It’s in a beautiful area but the price was not worth the experience

Expedia called less than 24 hrs to tell us the hotel was under construction. Hmm how bad can it be? We get there NO OUTDOOR BAR to sit and eat by the seaside. It was so hot in there and the portable air conditions weren’t working. Staff had to walk straight up to them. So did we. You couldn’t enjoy a drink or food in inside bar. Oh! What a nice oceanfront room you have! Yeh right. Full of overgrown palm trees. What? There’s a beach there? Liars! As I was walking to the elevators one evening I smelled cigarettes so someone was smoking outside with the door ajar I’m guessing a construction worker. On the 4th floor and we were on the 3rd the noise was insane. You couldn’t sleep. They didn’t have a full cook Everyone has quit from the last time we were there. What a dang mess. Don’t want to go back there. Will choose another place on Singer Island bc Singer Island is a must

The hotel was in the middle of a huge renovation and we were not notified before staying there. The entire lobby was blocked off. We had to drag our luggage all the way around to another door, through the construction zone just to get to the elevator. Besides that, it was noisy and the pool was covered in debris because they were literally sawing and sanding right above it with nothing blocking it!! It was completely unsafe, dirty and surely not the place for kids. Ruined our 2 day stay at what was a beautiful hotel. I understand updates need to be done but we should have been notified and you definitely shouldn’t be working that close to the pool where people are swimming.

Enjoyed the private beach, however they are doing construction and there was a constant banging above our room. Also the internet was spotty. The food at the bar was good, but needs to have a larger selection. Pool was decent, needs to have more cleaning.

Unfortunately during this trip the hotel was under construction so the awesome outdoor bar and restaurant were closed down. They did a pretty good job of keeping the construction contained. I have only good things to say about this hotel. However the guy that controls the beach chairs needs to work on his customer service. Derrick is a very nice man I’m sure but for his convenience of set up and break down, he sets up the chairs and umbrellas very far back on the beach leaving you to basically look at a hump of sand not the beautiful waves crashing on the beach. I asked him if I could move my chairs up and he flat out said no because this is where he sets them up in case the water comes up he doesn’t want to lose any equipment. Understandable but when the water starts coming up why not move things back then is what I said to him. He continuities say that this is how he does it otherwise he’d have to keep moving things all day. Well sorry that’s part of your job and I said to him very nicely that I didn’t pay for a hotel on the beach to look at a hump of sand! I also said I don’t live in Florida so I don’t get to see this beautiful ocean!The way the beach is in front of the Hilton, the sand is a bit hilly so if you’re too far back you can’t see the ocean. That is unacceptable to me sorry! So eventually he let me move my chairs up but I wasn’t permitted to take the umbrella and he did not even offer to assist me at all. Which was fine I am capable of moving beach chairs myself.

You should disclose before booking that the property is under construction/repair/renovation and that it's unsafe in some areas. Place is dusty, dirty and rooms in bad condition. There were drilling above my room ALL SUNDAY until 5PM! Insane

They should close the hotel while in remodeling. It's not safe to be around the pool, even to walk around the entrance, besides the noise for the guests. In addition, some support columns are weak while remodeling building and zoning must stop using the hotel in those conditions.

Expedia did not announce that the property was under construction. My wife is 9 months pregnant and we had to walk around the entire building to get to the check-in desk which was in the back. The main outdoor restaurant was closed. There was construction and loud noises everywhere.
Also, this is a Hilton and felt more like a Motel 6. I regularly stay at the Hilton Marco Island. IT's beautiful. But this Hilton was from another time. If I had know about the construction and how outdated it was, I would have never booked it. From the stains on the sheets, to the crusty floor in the room, and the worn down furniture, and POPCORN ceiling. This was an awful experience and I really wish Expedia would have let me know about the construction.

When we booked our reservation, there was no indication the hotel would be under an extensive renovation project. LOUD jackhammering all day. CLOSED pool (July here in FL with no pool). The beach was beautiful and the staff was so apologetic, but everything else about this stay was awful. When we asked if Hilton was going to charge less for our stay, we were told the rate was already discounted because of the circumstances. I vehemently disagree. The rate should’ve been so much less for the inconvenience of this mess the hotel was in. Had I known beforehand, we never would’ve stayed there. Do the right thing Hilton, and provide a reduced rate stay when renovations are done, for all customers that were stuck in this unfortunate situation!

This property was under major construction. Scaffolding, jackhammers constantly on my balcony. Men outside my window. Nothing open.the pool or restaurants. Walked thru plastic and Scaffolding to the elevator.Had to leave. No rest .want money back

Hilton: Money first, then we'll talk problems.
When you go to book this hotel on hotels.com it seems totally normal and quite nice. Then after you book, you immediately receive an email from the hotel saying "Just so you know, a ton of the hotel is under construction and certain amenities will not be available for 2 weeks."
This was a MASSIVE understatement on their part. Our trip was well after this 2 week window. And when they say certain amenities, they literally mean everything from the front door where you walk in... to the pool.... the deck around the pool to sunbathe... even the restaurant looked dead. This is such a lousy practice to take money first and then explain the dire situation later.
I will not be staying at this hotel again. The Marriot, which is about 2-300 yards down the road was much nicer, barely more expensive and extremely accommodating. I called them within minutes of realizing the Hilton was no good and they got us a room.

Stay away until renovations are done
Have a screen shot saying pool AND pool bar were open. Pool was open but had very little room & hardly any chairs. Pool bar was NOT open. Room (especially bathroom) was dirty.

Food at restaurant was serve semi warm and not hot. The hotel room was freezing cold and I wasn’t able to adjust the temperature setting. Construction was just beginning and ithe property definitely looked like it needed updated.

The staff at this location were some of the friendliest people I've ever met and truly made it feel like they were happy to assist you with whatever you needed. Perfect atmosphere for a quiet vacation, and beach side drink service was a gamechanger! Only downside was the construction being done on the outside bar and some of the balconies - a little noisy during the day and a bummer to not be able to sit at the outdoor bar, but overall not too big of a deal and the property did inform you about it ahead of time.

I wasn’t I informed that there were major renovations going on throughout the hotel. The concrete patios were being repaired along with other parts of the hotel. Only received notions we were arriving. I will not book through Expedia again- at the rate I was paying -it was in acceptable to have no prior knowledge of the renovations

Enjoyable stay
Our room was comfortable and clean. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Shower in the bathroom was great! Balcony was nice size with 2 chairs and a nice size table. Breakfast was very good. Really only thing I'd want improved would be hand bar for the shower for ease of getting in and out for us older people.

I am a Hilton Honors Member. Paid for an ocean front room with a direct view of the ocean for our 35th Wedding Anniversary weekend. The room we received had a totally OBSTRUCTIVE view! Large palm trees blocked our view of the ocean! Really appreciated the hotel clerk and the Manager trying to find another oceanfront room, but nothing was available. The property may want to consider cutting down the two big palm trees that block the ocean view to room 432. Thank you

Initially our room had issues. A leaking faucet, a broken luggage rack, no bath mats, but once all were remedied and we received a complimentary breakfast all was well. Diego, housekeeping manager, was excellent. Beach and pool were magnificent. Great places nearby for food.

Nice property and staff were friendly enough. My only minor issues were the following:
1. They ran out of expresso
2. I wasn't able to check in earlier than 3:30pm (and yes I know its not something that is guaranteed but it would have been nice :)
3. The beach staff seemed to overlook me and take care of the others who were of different race

We’ve stayed at this hotel numerous times for the cost and being on the beach it’s very affordable compared to other hotels/resorts on Singer Island. However, there are a few updates that need to take place. Nothing is really run down, it just seems that some things could be updated. One thing that is lacking is microwaves in the rooms. You have to go downstairs to the lobby to the concession center to heat anything up and there are no vending machines on any other floors, so you also have to go all the way downstairs to the lobby. The other thing is that you are being charged a $32 resort fee and then when you get there there’s an additional $20 per night parking fee that you have to pay.
The rooms have always been clean, the staff pleasant and helpful and it’s the perfect location about midway between West Palm and the Jupiter/Juno Beach area since we like to eat and do a lot of activities in those areas.
Great Places to eat: Leftovers, Captain Charlie’s, Guanabanas, Dune Dog, Frigate’s, Kee Grill, Waterway Cafe, and Jetty’s.

For being a Hilton hotel, the amenities are very limited, just one pool which it’s okay. Found roaches in both the shower and next to my bed. I made a reservation by accident for a month in advance that I made by accident, and they didn’t want to give me the reimbursement. End of story, horrible experience, do not recommend it for the price, nor the amenities nor service. Will definitely not go ever again to this location.

Not sure where to even start
Not my first stay at Hilton Singer Island.
Every minutes there heaven to me.
Rocio and Destiny made my check in/out wonderfully easy.
Cooling down myself at the hotel outdoor bar and get some bites/dinner is always the best part since staff are amazing each and every of them!
Especially want to thank for Simon who made every day unforgettable at Hilton bar with his very pleasant personality, and great cocktails. And for Jessica, they are just amazing.
Can't wait to meet them again when returning in August!
Beach is gorgeous, pool amazing, and i'm very excited to see the property after the upcoming renovation.
Thank you so much again, I'll be back

The check in was pleasant. The staff was so cheerful and happy - specifically Rosita. She was really a charm to deal with. The hotel was beautiful. Some places you could see where the salt air was corroding metal, but it was clean and the private beach and outside food/drink bar was the best! There was a false fire alarm and we had to evacuate the building but it was short lived. I will definitely stay here again!

I stay at the Hilton on Singer Island every time I go to Florida. The stay there every time is always wonderful. I will be going back soon without a doubt. I hear they will start renovations over the summer. I am not sure what they would have to uodate its so beautiful, but I cant wait to see!

Disappointing...!
The condition of the hotel was disappointing...the hotel fees not encompassing of anything ..,,we were there for two days .,, the room was never cleaned and I asked for service twice and they promised to take care of it.
The breakfast was overpriced and not very good ,
The only saving grace was the beach and the outdoor bar .,
I am not sure I would recommend to anyone until they cleaned up more .

Come here if you want peace and quiet I slept on the beach in the recliners every day Outside bar staff so friendly I fell asleep with the sliding glass door open and listening to the waves on a side view close up to the front and over the pool. The food was amazing. We ubered down thye street to the shops and the restauarants We are planning our next trip Oct 2023

Incredible ocean view!!
Our corner ocean front room had a wrap around balcony that was amazing and was a delightful surprise! Yes, the hotel does need some updating and I hear they plan to do that soon but the view and location is fantastic! The service was great, too. Loved that this hotel also provided 2 beach chairs and an umbrella. Also extra nice was the cucumber “spa” water available in the lobby. We really enjoyed our stay- thank you!
