We had extremely negative experiences with Fontainebleau Miami Beach. When we set up the sofa bed at the check-in night, there was no blanket in the room. When I booked the room, I put 4 guests for the room. They should put the blanket in the sofa bed. Then I called the housekeeping and front desk to request the blanket. It took almost an hour for us to get the blanket. The kids were very cold. That is unacceptable. It seemed to me the room had not been cleaned when we checked in. The fridge was dirty. There was a dirty cloth in the shower. That's totally unacceptable. Then next day onwards, we experienced extremely long waiting time for the elevator every time we use. Only one elevator was working. We experienced more than an hour waiting just for the elevator. We never encountered such issues with other hotels in our lifetime. It's totally ruining our vacation. Lots of guests complained to the front desk. But what we got was not to quickly fix the broken elevators. We got the letter from the hotel indicating to reduce the housekeeping service to every other day. That's ridiculous. We paid for the full service!!! There was nobody to empty our garbage bins when we left them outside of our room. That's totally unacceptable!

I’ve stayed a dozen times at this hotel but this time will be my last. First, had an oceanview room booked and got a view of a building. I had to request to have a room with an oceanview even though I paid for it. Also, Very little to no accommodation for us with a baby. Staff has been very cold from check in to check out. Not friendly, not baby accommodating. Asked for late check out because of our son napping and before I could finish my sentence it was an absolute no, without hesitation and throwing hands up. Excessively rude for no good reason. Truly the last time I visit here

Didn’t really meet my expectations. The resort is large and generally well kept in the main areas. However the hot tub was broken, we got locked out of our room before checkout time, our room windows were filthy (could barely see out of them). Dining options that we tried also seemed overpriced for the quality. Also there were way too many children and teens at this resort for my liking.

1. Dirty room. The floor was not vacuumed during my 7daya/6 nights stay. I called housekeeping several times and every time the answering person (with indian accent) assure he will send right away someone to vacuum but this never happened. 2. I was assigned a room that overlooks a roof inspite of the high charges of hotel. 3. I was in a conference and on my last day the conference ends 12:30 pm. I asked to check out at 12:30 after the conference ends and I was told I can check out at 12 but not 12:30. As if this half an hour is big deal for the resort. It just shows how the resort crew are not considerate and careless about the customers. This half hour is very inconvenient for me to walk around the conference with my belongings. 4. Only one chair in the room and is very uncomfortable. Beds are also uncomfortable. 5. No coffe machine or minifridge in room. 6. They charge if you request to lift minimbar. 7. Uber pickup is only from departure are which is outdoor with no seats. (i.e. you cannt wait for your transportation in Lobby).

The sink was clogged, the toilet didn’t flush, the rooms were way overpriced. The food sucked and was overpriced. Had to move rooms. Paid for ocean front, new room was a job site view. Had to walk out on balcony to see ocean. Overall, this place sucks. Will never go back and will never recommend it. Smh. 4 days of my life I can never get back.

While the property is pretty, we had so many issues with the staff. First and foremost, they kept changing what room they wanted to put it us in. We had requested to be on the same floor as my stepfather and they switched my room twice before doing so even though I made this request before I checked in. Instead of getting a room at 4 PM like they “ensured” we got one at 5:30 PM. Secondly, the water pressure in our shower was horrible and it took forever to be able to wash shampoo out of our hair. Third, one of our friends lost her room key and when trying to get a new one was refused one. She was locked out of our room banging on our door at 2 AM trying to wake us up because the front desk refused to give her a room key. The thing that rubbed us the wrong way the most was that we set our personal belongings on a pool chair with our towels and went to the hot tub, but then when we came back our towels and purses were gone. They still haven’t given one of our purses back claiming they’re not sure where “we lost it” when their pool boy it was the one who took it and threw it somewhere with wherever they put towels. Not only was the actual purse worth a lot of money, we had our credit card & AirPods in there as well. We keep calling trying to get info on how to get our items back, we even asked to see security footage, and we get ignored. Talk about horrible customer service. For a hotel that costs so much we expected much better.

I’d like begin with one positive… The young man who was very helpful to us by the pool. Jalen is the only reason to come back. The property was a 4 out of 10. The rooms size was good due to it being a handy cap accessible. That’s about it. No coffee maker or anything that would allow you to drink out of. I think it's ridiculous that the hotel coffee is $8 but well planned by the marketing genius's. The water in the shower took approximately 8 - 10mins to get warm. Another 5 to be hot. Our safe never worked due to it being broken. There was no way of checking out from your room through the TV. Only reason I’m bringing it up is due to the location of the front desk. Way too far from anywhere. The wait staff at the pool could not take your order unless you were in their designated area… seriously?! With those prices, and added gratuity, they should be able to serve anyone in the pool area. I travel and stay in hotels once or twice a month. This hotel use to have an excellent reputation. Perhaps too good. It’s gone down the hill severely. If I have my choice, it would not be a stay at the Fountaineblu

Great pool and hot tub, very good gym; they blare super loud dance music by the pools after 11:30 am, can’t relax there after that. Pool and beach completely filled with loud, obnoxious people. As I walk to the front desk, this man was very rude at the front desk. He said, what can I do for you? I said to myself, I’m here to check in in his rude matter, gave me a room key and started to speak to me it’s broken English and say to me Where to go which I’ve never been there before and I said I don’t understand what you say can you repeat yourself so I had to repeat three times gives me the room to the key which I go upstairs and I find somebody having sex in the room that he gave me go back downstairs and he says I have to do an investigation. I said I don’t really care. All I need is a room to stay in tonight I said, can I get a free upgrade for this little stress that you’re giving me he says no this is your key a boy I don’t think I’m gonna be here again. He said I don’t care cause the manager and we go from there go to the shower in the room that I received and the tile fell down off in the shower. And there I see black mold on the back of the tile as well as I have a picture of it. It’s disgusting I don’t think the carpets. I’ve been cleaning a long time in the hallway, but I said it’s very proper place but it’s just not for me. I usually don’t write reviews but the sarcasm from the front desk they have to get people that really welcome people. This is at 11 o’clock at night and I didn’t need to sarcasm.

Only 1 elevator was functional during part of our stay, which caused chaos in a tower with 36 floors. It is beyond frustrating when we had to wait for hours with small children and strollers simply to get to our room. Other guests missed flight because of this, and there was no urgency from hotel management to fix the situation in a timely fashion. We heard from other guests and staff that this has been a recurring problem for many months. Instead of offering any kind of apology or compensation for this terrible inconvenience, the hotel sent a letter stating that they would cut back on housekeeping services because of the elevator situation (they don’t have a working service elevator either). Many areas and little details are old and dated, and for a landmark property and the price they charge, speaks for the lack of initiative from management to put guest experience first. Overall very disappointing.

I payed do an ocean view and you have to go on the balcony to see 1/4 of it. Elevators are super slow. Check in took forever, extra lines to just drop off luggage Gave us 8 key cards and not one of them worked. I was at a nice dinner at Prime and had to leave the dinner to verify it was my room to allow my daughter to get another key. I understand they are being safe but 8 keys??? And none of them worked????

It is a nice historical hotel that has grown to be too large and is not being kept up with in some areas. When we arrived three of the four elevators going up to our room was out of order and there was a line it took us 30 minutes to our room. The room was excellent, roomy and clean however, the shower bottom and walls at mold. I went downstairs and spoke to manager and showed him a video. He apologize and said that they will address it right away. They never addressed it or at least the mold was there during our stay. I bought Lysol disinfectant and sprayed. Manager never offered to change our room. Il

I had some issues with hot water and the heat working properly in my room and was also charged for what was supposed to be a free bike rental. The hotel did try to accommodate me just didn't feel it was enough for the inconvenience.

The hotel was excellent, and the staff demonstrated exceptional service, complemented by enjoyable entertainment. However, there were a few drawbacks, such as a prolonged wait of 1 1/2 hours for my risotto at the steakhouse. Additionally, there was a very limited selection of vegetarian dishes with no plant-based protein, and the food and beverage prices throughout the hotel were relatively high. When we arrived, the 2 of the elevator for the tower we stayed at was not working, the other two elevators was partially working, there was always a huge line about 25 to 40 we got stuck in one of the elevators for 38 minutes between the floors, they finally got us out of the elevator. minutes wait to catch an elevator. We were staying on 31 st floor, we walked the stairs twice to avoid getting stuck in the elevator. EVERYONE was complaining but Noone was listening. I called to speak with a manager, they got my message and manager finally called me back 15 hours later. They finally moved us to a different tower. I AM NEVER STAYING IN THIS CRAPY HOTEL EVERY AGAIN.

The elevators didn’t work and we were on the 30th floor. When asked for a lower floor, none was available. For 4 days we had to walk up and down 30flight of stairs multiple times. When talking with other guests including staff, it had been that way for a year. If I was aware of the issues, I never would have stayed here.

Not a business hotel good for trips with friends
The place looks great, but for some reason the play loud house music and only house musics from morning to evening. Unless you want to feel like you’re in a club, this is not the place for you. Not good for business, but I can see it be good for a trip with friends.

I have never stayed at a hotel that is over $500 a night with such poor service. I stayed at the tressor tower , the elevators did not work properly, they have 1 elevator working the last day I was there and 2 working the first night I was there.THis is a huge hotel and you will wait 30 minutes to just get on the elevator. Half the time it's full and the other half it's stopping on every floor. I had to walk down 11 flight of stair and up 11 flights of stairs on 2 seperate occaisions just to get to my room. The rooms were not very clean and I can see hair in the bathroom in the sink from the last guest. I was there for 2 nights about 40 hours otherwise I would have left and switched hotels. The food in the hotel is very expensive and they include 20 percent gratuity automatically. I have been coming here for years and it used to be a nice hotel. IT has completely gone to .... Service really means a lot when your staying in a hotel. To check in , you will wait 15-20 minutes minimum. I don't know what changed with management but they really need to hire more people.

Hotel is a read gem. Many pools make it to a resort. Unfortunately no place to eat a normal breakfast Bakery is self service with 3 tiny rounds always occupied 1-2 persons. Guests are encouraged to eat in the lobby which is large but unsuited to eating on low rise furniture. Needed full service restaurant with a buffet. The prices are high for food. Weather was extremely windy and did not allow us to use the pools - it lasted 3 days our entire stay. But the weather is not controlled by the hotel .

I called concierge because I had a horrible migraine. Asked if they could charge Advil to my room and bring to my door. They told me the store was as closed and they don’t have access. What hotel doesn’t have access to Advil?! A Holiday Inn has a 24 hr store with Advil. The next day, my checkout was 11am. Starting at 9:30am the cleaning service started knocking at the sorting every 20 minutes to see if I was leaving soon. Annoying. The hair on the towels and in the bathroom was also pretty gross. Upon checkout, no one asked me how my stay as so I guess this is where I am supposed to rate it.

It was New Year Eve weekend and they had only 2 elevators working in the Tresor Tower we stayed in, the lines could be 20 min to get in the elevator. Doesnt seem safe, or fire code correct with that many people staying there and limited service to high floors

Shower barely worked and had less water pressure than a conventional sink. Staff was either lazy or forgetful. Our room didn’t get cleaned and had to ask six times at the front desk for someone to come clean it. Keep in mind each phone call was an hour apart.

Overall was a decent experience. I would not say it was 5 star worthy however. Customer service call back failed to call us back as no one was answering phones. Upon arrival no one to greet or direct upon entering the hotel. At the check in only few of the front desks were open with a long line of check ins waiting. People in the line including us were getting frustrated at the length of the check in process. 25 mins in line. Food order was delivered to the wrong room and we received someone elses food. Then the wrong receipt sent. We had to answer the door 3 times for 1 order. It took 4 phone calls to request a late check out. Front desk will not answer phone. For the price paid, we were expecting a better quality room. We stayed because of the history of the property, not knowing exactly what to expect. The nightclub on the property was a great experience but unfortunatley with the overall experience, I don't think we will visit again.

The hotel and grounds were top notch and the concierge at check in was very helpful and able to find us an upgrade that had an oceanfront room with balcony. The whole experience was wonderful except for the spa. Between two of us we spent close to $800 for one massage each. The massages were fine, but the spa “experience” was disappointing. It was loud and messy. Towels, robes and spa sandals thrown everywhere. It was not soothing at all. And, so much for a no phones policy as walking by several young women who were taking selfies of themselves next to the hot tub and with their friends in it. That part of it reminded me of being at an indoor hotel pool area. So, aside from the spa, it was a wonderful experience and plan on returning just without going to the spa, unfortunately.

Everything was very expensive. There was a big service charge on every bill, yet the staff expected additional tips. If you didn't tip according to their expectations, next time you would be treated badly and receive a poor service. By the way, they charged me with an expensive minibar drink that had been consumed before we checked in to the room! They accepted to remove that from my bill but later the charge apoeared separately in my credit card! I won't recommend this hotel to anyone who earns money by doing hard work.

The staff across all areas of the hotel were outstanding, but the quality of the upkeep & core maintenance is sorely lacking. The lifts in the Tresor tower were comical - only 3 out of the 4 were working during one of the busiest weeks of the year (Xmas & New Year) and sometimes we were waiting 15-20 mins to get in a lift. Several times over the 5 days the lift got stuck & we had to wait at least 15 mins each time to be rescued. We had to walk the 25 floors on a number of occasions since it was easier than waiting and then risk getting trapped. They eventually put security on the ground floor and someone in the lift to monitor not only the operation but also the frustrated guests who at times were aggressive with each other. The spa is badly in need of renovation. The staff were wonderful and the amenities great, but it really needs updating. The suite was so-so, but the bathrooms were not commensurate with paying thousands of $ a night - limescale on the taps, the bath stained and no bathrobes. The facilities were great & the staff & service at the pool and on the beach were some of the best I have experienced. But Mr Soffer, it's time to spend some money on the hotel & restore it to its former glory!

Really beautiful property and amazing room (suite) with views. Loved that they had everything on site, including pools, dining, bars, shopping. Perfect for staying put for a day or two over the holiday. Had some trouble with the bike rental, but they had staff available immediately to help fix/reset the system, and made sure we were credited for any faulty charges. The elevators were a bit troublesome- they were apparently set up for Shabbat, but most of the clients did not know this and thought the elevators were faulty for stopping at every floor (made for VERY long waits). Finding this info out made us much more patient. Food and drink was excellent, but pricey- to be expected at a luxury accommodation. Really great staff- friendly and always available to help.

There was so much i dont know where to start. Upon arriving in i was instructed to proceed to the Tesor tower elevators which had a line waiting for elevators all the way to the reception desk. It took 10 min before i could finally get settled into my room. Guests were saying the elevators had been broken for the whole week and never fixed yet. One day i couldnt wait and had to climb 8 flights of steps. Beyond inconvenient. In addition, my room was never cleaned. I had called at 1:30 for tray removal and 4:30 to say my room is still not clean and the tray is still sitting there. When i returned at 6:30 pm it was still all sitting the same way. I called again to be told that the cleaning staff leaves at 5:00 and there is nothing they could do. At that point i packed up my stuff and left the hotel earlier then my intended stay.

Dirty rooms and unheated pools
First three rooms we received all had bathrooms that were not cleaned… hair all over the floor, on the towels, and pee on the toilet seats. Housekeeping needs to step up their game. They also claim the pool is heated… it was freezing. Everyone flocked to 1 hot tub that had adequate heat. If the weather sucks… this hotel is subpar.

Elevators are horrible. Front desk is understaffed. You can't call the SPA and talk to anyone. Otherwise, it is a good property

Nope - not again
Quality of rooms are really bad compare to what you pay for in this hotel - our room have no window that open - shower was broken - toilet was broken - very basic interior -hot tub wasn’t working - didn’t have enough towel and chairs on beach.. you have to tip “additional” if u want good service pools and restaurants are good but Miami is full of them. Nope I am not coming back here

The staff were very nice especially my checkin lady. She let me check in early after I arrived. The cleanliness of the room wasnt great. Seems like they gave me the craziest room like it was from a stunt movie. The paint was chipping in big chunks from window and looks of orange rust on the bathroom floor. There were hair strands on the floor and shower and bed. Also the toilet had marks like it had been cut or kicked. The food in the restaurants wasnt the greatest along with room service, the only good thing was the eggs. Overall the NYE Concert was great. If you want to look bougie like you have some coins this is the place lol. I wouldnt return to the property for that amount of money spent to stay.

Elevator situation
The elevator situation was terrible and I had to take the stairs for most of the stay. Walking up to 10 floor. My friend was on crutches and couldn’t take stairs. We would wait 20 mins for elevator at times. I was meant to get a $215 credit. They only gave me $75 at check out. This is not right. I would like to be reimbursed for the entire amount of the resort fees like I was told.

Very bad experience! I booked Bayside deluxe room but I was given a standard room. The stuff didn't cooperate to adjust the room cost. There was no hot water on a room.

Nice property - horrid elevators,
The elevators in the Serrento Tower are a disaster. All three stop on all floors at peak times. This is unacceptable in this day and age. The third floor of the Serrento Tower should not be classified as “ocean view.” We had to be moved to seee the ocean. Our refrigerator and coffee maker did not work.

Too many kids .. pool scene was a bit chaotic w limited seating … young kids running around the gym … not safe … beach seating was well organized … food at vida an hakkasan quite good as was chez bon bon . Front desk staff were friendly but they seem to be inundated with whiny complaining guests

Elevators were not working. We were stuck inside the elevators. We had to take stairs to 23rd floor. Hotel did nothing to accommodate their guests. Computers were down at check in. Promised to waive resort fees but didn’t. Very bad experience

Not safe. Homeless people harrased us at pool area inside in the early evening. Staff does not care. Paid $1,100 a night for one bedroom suite in Tresor tower. Had to call maintenance three times for various things not working. Elevators were not working for two days either. Never coming back.

We had reserved a room with two queen beds and an ocean view, eager to experience the Fontainebleau Miami Beach as praised in advertisements. Upon our arrival, the reality was bitterly disappointing. The room was in a deplorable state: questionable cleanliness, filthy windows, visible cracks on the walls, and even scraps of paint scattered on the floor. Far from the excellence we expected, this room looked more like a neglected relic than a haven of luxury. Faced with this deplorable situation, we immediately alerted the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. Unfortunately, our complaint fell on deaf ears. The only solution offered was an unacceptable surcharge, especially given the exorbitant price of the room. We are deeply disappointed and shocked by the lack of professionalism and the scant regard for the well-being of guests. An establishment of this reputation should guarantee impeccable quality. Our experience at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach was not only disappointing but unacceptable. We can only advise against this hotel until major improvements are made.

The best part about our stay was the beach staff. They were excellent, especially Maleek and Justin who were waiters at the beach. The service was above and beyond, they were kind and thoughtful and genuinely made our experience better. Other than that, it was a below average experience which is upsetting for the price and reputation of the hotel. We had multiple issues with our room, including no hot water, a non working tv, and loud noise throughout the night. The concierge was slightly helpful and at the end of the trip we were given compensation for our inconveniences although they were difficult to be dealt with during our stay. Overall, the beach staff is the only reason we had a good stay
