Mixed experience
The service was spectacular. However, we asked for a toaster in our room and was told that the rooms were not provided with toasters and we would have to use the communal toaster in the dining area. Then, friends came to stay in a different room and they had a toaster! Additionally, we were in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite. The unit had 2 furnaces, one of which wasn't working. We ended up having to use space heaters to keep the suite warm. Not great given we paid over $300 per night for our stay.

The room was great as was breakfast, but my room was right by the exit and for some reason maintenance staff needed to work on a door at 8am , slamming the door repeatedly easily 100 times over an hour period

The front desk person was lovely. The room, however, smelled of smoke, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, no sheets, pillows or blanket for the pull out couch, ice machine didn’t work and in general not very clean.

Its ok for a one night trip.
It was good for a 1 night stay, kitchen we didnt need but the bed arrangement was fine. Like having a sitting area if everyone doesnt go to bed at the same time. Check in clerk was nice. Couldn't use app to check in because hotels.com doesn't send you an actual confirmation number to put in the hilton app. Hotel is worn and dated. Chip in the tub ceramic, couch looks really worn. No linen for pull out sofa. Bedding is thin and no extra blankets but lobby is nice. Lobby is updated with fireplace .

Deteriorating Conditions
We’ve stayed here about 6 times. Swimming pool has been closed for months. In our room the main TV was broken. One electric cook top element was broken and so was the dishwasher. We had only 1 dinner fork. Ice machine on 5th floor has been broken for a month; now the 6th floor machine is out of order. Breakfast coffee was cold. Chester VA is a main stop-over for us. We will be choosing another hotel from now on.

I spent almost $200 a night to stay here. It was dirty, bathroom fixtures were broken. Used bar of soap in the shower. Furniture was stained, was given a smoking room without telling me. I will never stay at a Hilton again. Staff was made aware 1st day of broken fixtures and used soap in the shower yet did nothing. Pool was closed for the entire duration but was advertised when I booked the room. Hotel advertised laundry in the hotel but you had to pay extra to use it. I've stayed at other hotels that didn't charge for landry. The elevators were dirty and everything except the lobby and breakfast area was old, out dated, and broken. Very disappointed with my stay and will never come back.

They were wonderful at checkin considering I was with 2 kids and one running around like a maniac in the lobby. Quick and helpful so that I could put my gremlins away. Spacious and good breakfast. Room was clean and spacious as well. And all clean and in good condition.

Staff was nice. Having a separate living vs sleeping room was great, as was the full kitchen. And giving us free water bottles any time we wanted was a very nice touch in such a hot and humid area.

Hotel looks nice from outside and in lobby. Furniture in room dated. No outlets to charge stuff by beds. Mattress not comfortable. Headboard uncomfortable. No one answered the phone when I tried to call for more pillows. The A/C in room very loud. Room was clean, nice kitchen. Convenient off highway. Regards. Ned.

Needs an update. Felt like a motel. Hard beds, old decor, rusted bathroom, ceiling fan (tells you how dated it is) that makes an incessant squeaking sound. Breakfast was ok for a hotel and the front desk staff was great. Note that it is a smoking hotel and Expedia will book you smoking - no smoking wasn’t guaranteed but the front desk staff switched us because we had young kids with us.

This place stinks. Quite literally.
The mattresses are raggedy and the brand’s idea of a comforter is a mattress pad over the sheets. Rug had holes in it. Air con rattled.
On the plus side the shower was nice.

Staff was friendly and very accommodating on a change in room after I realized I accidentally reserved a smoking room. Yuck! Room was clean, a little dated, but clean. Pillows felt old and too floppy. Breakfast was nice and lobby area clean and fresh and inviting.

So Disappointed
This property fools you when you walk in, lobby and breakfast area are nice. That’s where the good ends. The rooms are so dated, furniture is thread bare, mattresses are old and uncomfortable, remote for TV didn’t work, closed the drapes and found someone’s underwear left there. I could go on but over all it was the worst property we ever stayed in. Liked Homewood Suites before but Hilton has a problem with this one.

INDOOR POOL WAS DRAINED, however there was no indication of this on the description when we booked- had we known we would not have booked this hotel. We chose non-smoking suite upon booking but ended up with a smoking room/floor. Dusty and dirty. Marijuana smell throughout our hallway. Beetles in bathroom. Do not recommend.

The hotel is beautiful. It would be lovely place to be snowed in! There is a large sitting area with a fireplace in the lobby. The continental breakfast was set up like a high end restaurant. The staff were so helpful and professional including housekeeping and the lady in charge of breakfast. The room had a kitchen and large bathroom. All around the hotel is so nice, i wish i could have stayed longer.

Not what I expected from a Hilton owned Hotel
Nice hotel, we had a large room with a kitchenette. Rooms were visibly worn though, in need of a renovation. Breakfast was good, but small- somewhere in between a motel and a hotel kind of breakfast.

We found out upon returning to our room later that night after our key wouldn't work that our room was double booked ( we had checked in earlier that day.) How does that even happen? So random people walked into our room with all of our belongings in there. Thank God they went straight back to the front desk to report it. So irritated on this situation.

It’s rated a 3-star hotel for good reason. Decent cleaning, but our room had old furniture and plumbing (our toilet seat was broken). The hotel staff wasn’t particularly helpful or personable either (except for housekeeping).

Dated, but Clean and Excellent Service
Overall, the hotel was pretty decent. The rooms are a little dated, but are comfortable and clean. It was 98 degrees outside the day we stayed and the air conditioner wasn’t working very well. It hovered around 76 degrees and wouldn’t get any colder. The hotel maintenance person did try to fix it, but it wasn’t successful.

Put in smoking room, smelled terrible. 3 inch window opening so no chance to air out. 24 hour security door propped open with a stick. One small piece of soap for 2 people for shower AND sink. Hallways smelled like a 'cheap motel'. Very disappointing for the price. Moved to Holiday Inn Express next door; amazing difference and $35 cheaper.

Room needs a refresh
The lobby and dining area are clean and updated, but the room we had was in serious need of renovation. Dingy, stained carpets, couch, and curtains. Ants in the kitchen. Old bathroom stunk of smoke (I’m pretty sure we booked a non-smoking room, but it’s possible I’m mistaken). On the plus side, the bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets we clean and seemed new.

Highly disappointed
Well for one the way they make it look online and the way it actually looks is two way different things. I was expecting some really nice hotel room, only to walk in to an upgraded Willis road hotel room. Very very disappointed especially for the price that I paid. Not only was the room I was in non-smoking,the whole floor was non-smoking, but you couldn’t tell because the cigarette smell was so strong it was like someone was actually smoking in our room. I had 4 children with me who despise cigarette smoke and my son actually had a reaction to the second hand smoke. The bathroom shower was disgusting. Honestly I don’t think that it was even cleaned. There was pubic hair in the floor and on the side of the shower. I took a picture of it bc I already know that’s hard to believe. Absolutely repulsive in my opinion. If you can’t have housekeeping that can ATLEAST go back and check for random hairs after they clean then I’d say they need to find another job. Overall I’m just over it. I’m not surprised because I’ve seen a lot of crazy things, but I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone nor would I ever pay to stay here again. Actually you couldn’t even pay me to stay here. Seriously in need of some changes. Don’t waste your money guys.

The room needs some repairs. They had push pins holding the wallpaper on the wall, there looks to be mold in the shower and it had a bad smell, the water in the shower went from hot to cold while I was showering. The decor is outdated. The cover between the sheet and the top layer had burn holes in it. For the price it could be a lot better.

We stayed at this hotel before we did our military move to Germany. We picked this hotel because of the amenities. Due to Covid, the pool and gym were closed. The breakfast was only a very limited selection; they only had cold hard boiled eggs, breakfast bars, or muffins.
The REAL issues were two things...
Our family rented two rooms. I had my family (2 adults and 3 kids) and my brother-in-law there. We had rooms 315 and 115. We left for the day to run errands and when we returned to our room 115, the carpets were all wet and some of our stuff got wet. There was a leak draining down the closet. The front desk moved us to another room. The stuff that got wet we just threw away. The next day while we were resting in room 315; we hear all this banging in the walls and in the bathroom. I called front desk worried about what’s happening; then I figured out that they must be snaking the bathroom on the 2nd floor. I passed by that area and all I can smell is sewage. What was draining into our room 115 had to be sewage water and they didn’t even say anything to us.

The room had a seal on the door when we arrived to indicate it had been sanitized. The was a black sticky liquid on the floor appearing to come from the refrigerator and the kitchen floor was sticky under foot. A staff member came to the room and cleaned the mess and mopped the floor. We whipped the room with Cleanex wipes that we brought with us, and the wipes were dirty afterwards. The air conditioner was so loud I thought I was in a $35.00 per night hotel. I made the reservation there because of the Hilton name and now feel cheated.

The hotel is right off 95, the area seemed ok nice lobby but our hallway smelled like smoke. When we first got to our room,the toilet was running- my husband took the top off and water shot across the room! He was able to fix it temporarily. The room was dirty with dust stuck on the popcorn ceiling around the fan, the carpet was stained with something red, and the bottom of the refrigerator was filthy. The couch was old and sunk in when you sat on it, the lamp in the living room area was dirty, and the bathroom corners were dirty and the tub drain was slow. The kitchen table had something running down the side. Definitely not clean especially during a pandemic. I travel with my own bleach cleaner and wipe down all the surfaces as soon as we arrive just in case.
Thankfully were only here for one night, and it was late- otherwise I would’ve changed rooms. This hotel obviously isn’t cleaned the way it should be.

I loved everything about the property. The room was very clean, cozy & spacious. The staff was polite & friendly. The only thing that I didn't like was that a few of our light bulbs were blown. I feel as if housekeeping should check them daily & replace them as needed.

Its very dated. The first room I had was filthy so I was moved to another room. It was a little better. The couches look like they have been around for 25+ years. For as much as they charge they should do a little updating! I personally wouldn’t recommend it.

The stay over all was amazing the suite we were in was alittle dated but had some upgrades. I had no idea there was a kitchen in the room till we got there but an amazing feature none the less.. everyone of the staff was very nice and even said im sorry its raining on our way out we wished them a happy day and departed. Great Hotel if I had a better room
THE ROOM WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT IF IT WAS CLEAN! IT SMELLED OF CIGARETTES, I FOUND A CAN WITH CIGARETTE BUTTS IN IT IN THE ROOM, KIDS TOYS LEFT IN THE ROOM, THE DISHWASHER WAS ON. IT SEEMED THAT THE HOUSE KEEPER DID NOT CLEAN THE ROOM WELL AT ALL. THE SMELL OF THE ROOM WAS THE WORST PART. AND I DID NOT WANT A SMOKING ROOM, WHEN I COMPLAINED I WAS NOT GIVEN ANY OPTIONS AND IT SEEMED THAT SHE COULD HAVE CARED LESS. OUTSIDE OF THAT SHE WAS PLEASANT.
I would go back if I would have a clean room that didn't smell of smoke.

Our room had several pepto bismol looking stains on the carpet. Bathroom was not cleaned. No trash bags in any of the trash cans. Trash under couch when opened the pullout sofa. For some reason the bed skirt was on top of the flat sheets. Breakfast ends at 9 am on weekdays which is too early. Breakfast was ok not that many options. We did utilize the pool which was ok. Checkout is actually at 12 not 11 am which was a plus. Staff very friendly. Cleaning people need to actually CLEAN the rooms.
