The bar and restaurant available were amazing!!! However, our room was not as clean as we would have liked. At one point, we found candy wrappers on the floor that did not belong to an of the room occupants.

Generally good. Only two points to mention that made us uncomfortable. The first was the deposit of $540 that they requested when we entered, something that was not mentioned anywhere at the time of making the reservation. Although it is true that it is money that is returned, it becomes money that you cannot count on if you have a certain budget for the trip and at some point it limits you. The second thing was that when it was time to check in and finish the procedure I asked the receptionist that I had to make some more payment and she told me no, everything was fine, well when it was time to leave and check out they told me that I must pay $369 in city tax. I had read this tax but I don't know how it specified an amount, that's why I asked if everything was fine and I didn't have to pay more, and looking at the bill that tax depends on the nights of stay, once again I think they should be more specific and communicate better is money that you stop counting and that is not well specified previously.

This location is perfect for exploring ALL of Boston! The hotel lobby is hip and inviting with a bar area that looks relaxing and chill. Our room was small, even at a superior room, but it fit our need for the night. Highly recommend based on location and cleanliness!

Great area, convenient to trains and transportation.
Lobby was quite fancy, but the room was cramped and utterly charmless. And they tacked on a resort fee which seemed a bit deceptive.

Beautiful hotel. Very nice stay if you want to be downtown.
We were unaware of the lack of parking accommdation at the hotel. A walk to public parking or large fee for daily valet. The staff were great. Very helpful and responsive.

Very disappointed
Paying over $500 per night for a small, very cramped suite with no dresser drawers or bathroom storage, room service out of order, calling various departments several times with no answer. Worse stay in Boston, ever. Will look for a different hotel next visit.

The room was lovely and plenty of space for 2. My only complaint was the strong smell of perfume I expect from the cleaning supplies. It was overwhelming and caused us to have stuffy noses and itchy skin! Maybe they could try a greener less pungent cleaner.

Our room was tiny, which I was aware of, but it was so loud. There were no sound barrier's and high noise levels of people walking in the hall. The bathroom was dirty. The toilet had not been cleaned and there were little hairs all over the sink. The large body soap was empty and there were 2 partially used small ones left for us to use. Parking was about a block away. It was convenient to local restaurants and shopping.

One night, a cockroach appeared in our room’s bathroom!! It was terrifying, we could not sleep that night. And then just disappeared through the hinges. Another night, a strong smell of marijuana on our floor, simply unacceptable. We told the staff and they said the manager would call me, but I am still waiting for the call. The lobby smelled great and looked beautiful but the cleanliness overall was very poor.

Very pricey-therefore I did not expect to have mold in my bathroom, no vanity for toiletries- just a 12 inch sink and five inch shelf on which to place jewelry and toiletries, of course, due to size, most items fell on floor,

HORRIBLE GUEST SERVICES. I stayed at the hotel on a business trip, and on the second night of my stay, I suffered from food poisoning - so I called the hotel’s guest emergency line at 1am for help (medicine or gatorade or something because CVS is already closed) and they said they can only call EMS or I should go outside and get these myself (even though I told her I couldn’t leave bed and was puking my guts out - AND WHERE CAN I GET THESE WHEN CVS WAS ALREADY CLOSED). So I called the guest services line to see if they can help and they put me on hold for 20 minutes before I hung up the phone to puke again and NO ONE CALLED ME BACK TO OFFER HELP AS I SUFFERED ON MY OWN. This was the cherry on the cake after the I got undercooked chicken from room service on the night I checked into the hotel.

Wicked small room bargain for business trip
Nice hotel in nice area, explanation on sevices can be improved, but service itself, when understood, was good. Room was small, but clean. Coffee maker hard to pull out from the bottom of the shelf. Closet was large enough for two days' stay, maybe too small for a week stay, especially in winter with a coat etc.

I booked the superior king size bed for two adults over the weekend staycation. Check in Friday check out Sunday. There was no where for us to put our clothes. Unlike the image used to describe the room. There was no furniture under the TV like the image showed. No where for us to store our clothes. Use coffee machine or to place ive bucket. When I asked the front desk about how different the room was from their online images. “We hear that a lot “ was the response I got. I expected the boston park plaza to meet higher standards of customer service. We was highly disappointed and will stay somewhere else next time we do a staycation in the city of Boston. Thank you

I saw my receipt and credit card SOA, there’s a lot of extra charge, double charge, and unrecognizable charges. This hotel rob there guest. Toilet is clog, wall is paper thin. Definitely not recommended to people who wants to visit boston.

They charged an amenity fee but only after me probing disclosed that to me at check in and then also didn’t disclose that it included a $15 food voucher. THEN at check out didn’t deduct the voucher and it took me reminding them to do it.

Everything was fine except the bathroom
The bed was comfortable, the room itself was clean and its size was fine. I didn’t hear noise from other rooms but there was a fair amount of street noise. The location is terrific otherwise and is very close to a station on the Green Line.
The big problem was the bathroom which was tiny. The toilet was very low, and there was mildew in the tub area.

It was quite noisy at night unfortunately. This was due to yelling and honking of cars across the street in the multi-story parking garage.
The tub was old in the bathroom despite the wall tiles having been updated.
Otherwise, great place to stay if one can afford the high rates. The location so close to Boston Common was the best aspect, with lots of nice and affordable restaurant options within walking distance.

My husband and I stayed in one of the "wicked small room"s. We had a queen bed and the room was plenty large for us. The bathroom is small but fine for us. The room was clean and comfortable. The receptionist who checked us in was friendly and helpful (I wish I could remember her name.). We were only there one night so did not get a chance to eat at one of the hotel's restaurants. The hotel is walking distance to the common, Faneuil Hall, many restaurants. There is a parking garage one street over that was only $35 for our less than 24 hour stay.

They put me in a room behind the elevator shaft. The whole time I was exposed to the noise of elevators going up and down. I called the front desk and complained and they said the manager will call me. The manager never called.

It took FIVE times to get into our room!!!!! It wasn't until the 4th time trying to get the key to work that one of the staff offered to come back up again to help! Each time they gave us new keys and that was it! We had to wait from 8:39 am 'til 1:00 to get assigned a room to begin with! VERY CRUMMY! When the person tried with ANOTHER set of keys SHE couldn't open it either! Finally they called security and even they had a problem and FINALLY got it opened! No real apology, no compensation--NOTHING! The hotel was clean as was our room, but that's about it! There was a big hole where the refrigerator had been, upon calling, the RECORDING said there would be a delivery fee! The room was very plain w/one picture on the wall! Bed was comfortable. No microwave. Maid did only what was absolutely necessary to housekeeping guidance. Only 3 Kerig cups was left w/2 envelopes of cream, etc. In our early days we've stayed in Motel 6 that was similarily equipped! At over $200 a day I expected more. The "restaurant" expensive & was placed right in the middle of the lobby--there was no option for privacy, etc. My husband spent over 30 years in the US Navy and we have travelled A LOT. Talk about "seeing the world"! To top this off this trip was to celebrate our 60th. anniversary! Does it seem like we were satisfied to you?

Iconic disappointment
I expected an elevated stay at this iconic Boston location however from check in to check out our stay was fraught with disappointment. Our rate, as booked through Hotels.com was not honored, our rooms were miniscule, and our tub did not drain. There were many revelers partying in the hallways of our floor, making it difficult to sleep, and we were frightened at 6:30 Sunday morning by someone trying to enter our room.

They will try to charge you for the free breakfast
The location of the hotel was great and the hotel was very nice overall. However, our room was not. Our particular room was supposed to have a king bed, but had 2 queen beds instead. After I put my suitcase on the floor, a bug crawled out of my suitcase (not a bedbug, but still a gross bug.) Our bathroom was noticeably sub-par. In addition, when I made my reservation, it included free breakfast. The breakfast was nice. However, at the end of breakfast, we were given a hefty bill for the meal. When I spoke to the staff and explained that it was supposed to be free, they said they wouldn't charge us and instructed us to merely write our room number on the bill. When we checked out, I saw the charge for breakfast was on there and I needed to get it removed again. The same thing happened to other guests as well.

The hotel was just bought by Hilton. It took us over 2 hours to check in due to the new system overloading. The hotel did not apologize and did not offer anything for the inconvenience. Very disappointed. I stayed here 2 years ago and had a wonderful experience. This time, it was not a pleasant experience. I will not be staying here again.

Most staff members were friendly but the property itself leaves a lot to be desired. The in-room coffee maker was dirty, and the fridge wasn't working. Front desk was informed and said they'd be replaced - they never were. They charged exorbitant amounts for my stays so the poor condition of the amenities seemed even more outrageous. It was very challenging to be put through to a staff member on the phone - extended wait time for the front desk, and it was literally impossible to call room service. I did not receive the final receipts - I called and they only sent me the receipt for one out of two stays after I told them specifically I needed receipts for the two stays. They switched to be a Hilton property in the middle of my stay, which also caused delays and problems. I would not stay there again unless it is a conference hotel.

Hotel was beautiful. Front desk receptionist Myra(i believe) was so friendly, helpful, and patient with my questions. A couple of the housekeeping ladies were on our floor in the morning. they were friendly with smiles on their faces. They were also helpful with local recommendations. The location was great and easy to find. if renting a car, the parking garage the hotel uses has hertz and zip cars there. no need to rent from the airport. overall would stay at this hotel again.

The light bulb over the sink was out. It made it very difficult to do my makeup.
The cleaning staff did not knock or even attempt to alert us and would just let themselves into our room at 9am! We were both naked the first morning and I had to shout at her to get out before she saw us. Then the next morning someone tried to get in with no warning again but this time we had the latch over the lock so she couldn't get in. It's very uncomfortable and rude.

Unfortunately fire alarm went off at 7-00 and we had to vacate rooms.
Was a false alarm but not good for 2 pensioners on a break.
