Extremely Loud
This was intended to be a relaxing two night stay, but it was definitely not due to the noise from outside. It was either the fire trucks leaving from the station across the street, airplanes taking off, church bells ringing, or just the constant noise of traffic that felt like we were sitting right outside on the street. It was so loud when we walked in that I thought windows were open, so I walked over to look but it’s just how loud it is. We ended up not staying both nights. We left after the first night. If constant noise doesn’t bother you, you should be fine!

Please let your guests know of the cost of valet parking. $40+/day is not cheap. There is no self parking, we were told later after checking out, by the valet attendant. Would have appreciated being told of the cost upfront and being told that there is no other choice.

Overall, solid choice and would stay again. Its 99 years old and very charming. We had a very good size room, comfy bed, spacious bathroom with a modern shower.
Dallas is a very spread out city so you are likely to need a car no matter what. There were some good food options to walk to in the area though. Felt like a very safe area. Nice bar in the hotel.
Our heat keep breaking and it took me complaining about it 3 times before they did something.
Overall, would stay again

The precious & treasured Warwick Melrose!
The Warwick Melrose is one of those coveted and precious experiences many families treasure. We are making this a tradition for our Dallas trips (to see family) and I know you will too once you stay here. Management bends over backwards to accommodate all your needs and comforts. It's easy to make this a 2nd home when you need to. Enjoy!

Holiday weekend fun
The Melrose never disappoints. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance. Make sure and stop by The Library in the evening for a night cap and some spectacular music.

Check in, hotel had no bookings for me at all! It was very stressful because they didn’t have the rooms (had to get a pull out bed added) and rate was much higher than I booked on Expedia with. Not sure who is at fault on this one.

The housekeeper did not leave any hand soap when I checked in. The second day, there was still no hand soap. Also on the second day, the body wash finished. I had to call guest service twice when they finally gave me an Ivory soap. Could have been a much more pleasant stay.

The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located. They offer shuttle service within 3 miles of the hotel.
The only downside is that there is a fire truck sub station across the street so the sirens went all night. If you are a light sleeper, this isn’t the hotel for you.

Fancy Name, Completely Lacking Service
I'm really unimpressed by my stay here; I was told this was a higher level hotel but my four nights here indicate otherwise. The mini bar in my hotel room was "broken" with black mold growing in it. They brought this HUMONGOUS refrigerator up from what I can only assume was the basement. It looked like it might live in a basement; anyway, that worked fine. My biggest issue was that when you needed anything it was this massive inconvenience to even remotely get assistance. We (the public) pay "premium" prices for that level of service, which is not happening at this hotel. When I checked out this morning I called down for a bellman to come get my baggage, as I'm disabled and can't lift or move heavy things. No one came. When I called down, the front desk person said she couldn't help because everyone was at the valet stand and "busy" and she couldn't leave the desk. I asked if she was saying I would need to get my own bags (as I had an appointment downtown and needed to leave within the 1/2 hour) and she said she couldn't do anything to help. I had to leave my room, go find a luggage cart, and move my luggage down to valet. Then I get down to valet and there is a guy just standing there holding my key, ready for me to leave and .... by then ... happy to help me with my luggage. Lack of management? Lack of instruction? I don't know, but I won't be returning to find out.

Gorgeous Hotel. Misses Details to be Great.
The place was easy enough to find and the lobby area was gorgeous. Very friendly and accommodating staff, even if I was required to use valet service. The Library bar was dim and cozy with a decent wine selection and good people-watching. I did not try the restaurant, gym, or pool. I was unable to book the spa treatment I wanted online, so I did not try the spa. The menus looked lovely.
Where I ended up having problems was in the details. My shower wouldn't heat to more than probably around 88-90°F, even cranked all the way up to Hot. The toilet paper was basically the quality one would expect from a nicer gas station. The minibar selection was ok, and the prices were probably fine. Personally, I'd prefer a better wine and beer selection than Sutter Home and Coors Lite for the room price and minibar charges.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the valet who were the nicest guys ever. Ver accommodating. Our room was a 1 bedroom suite and very clean and comfortable. Love that the windows open for a nice breeze. We tried the Library bar on Friday evening to hear the entertainment and the singer / entertainer was phenomenal. Saturday evening we were shuttles to our favorite restaurant Ocean Prime & our driver was as sweet as can be. This is our new favorite place to stay when coming to Dallas. Not one disappointment & all of the staff we encountered were top notch!

Rooms are dated and with an odd layout. If you have a room facing the front, be aware you will have traffic noise. Check in and check out were inefficient and poor. Long wait times and inefficient. Unfriendly staff. Also they had extra charges on my bill. Fortunately they were able to remove it after I disputed the charges.

Historic building in a great area close to restaurants, bars and arts district. Easy to forgo the car and Uber or walk. Deluxe room was large and very comfortable. Wedding venue was lovely. The Library bar is lively and fun. Only “issue” is a bit of plane noise from Love Field…can’t really remedy that!

Nice place but a 132 dollar room actually cost me 244 dollars after parking and usage fees plus all the taxes and other fees were added in . I dont mind paying for a nice hotel but the nickel and diming is ridiculous. 45 dollars per night to park is pretty steep and what the heck is the 20 dollar usage fee....theres nothing there to use other than the pool....oh well . Buyer beware i guess.

We’ve started staying here every time we fly in for a family event. It’s close to lovefield, has breakfast/lunch/dinner spots within walking distance and Walgreens across the street in case you forget something. The staff is always super friendly and the rooms clean and spacious. The best part are the Espresso Martinis at the Library Bar!

Arrived early and greeted at front desk with….it will be 50.00 to check in early. I’m ok with that but the demeanor and gruffness of employee off putting.
Security issue as anyone having access to lobby can access elevator and your floor.

We have always loved the Melrose and it’s old-world charm, but never stayed there as we lived in Dallas. We went to visit the Library. Our stay was fabulous! It was everything we hoped the Melrose would be!! We visited the Library both nights and had so much fun!

My boyfriend and I came and stayed the weekend for his birthday. The staff was so friendly and so informational about everything. Valet parking was super quick, we had no issues whatsoever. Room service was super amazing and the staff always answered any questions we had at any time. We felt so welcome here, they made our stay and weekend so enjoyable. 10/10 hotel. I recommend for anyone and everyone.

While valet parking is a convenience , I generally like to self park to have free access to my car to leave and come back throughout my stay. I don’t like a valet only option, especially at $38/night plus tip.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Warwick and will stay again. We are locals that were celebrating our 10th anniversary and did not want to drive back to Fort Worth. The room was great and they put us way up at the top as I had requested. We also visited the pool and was it nice.

Beautiful exterior, original room had a SUNKEN mattress, but I asked to change and they agreed with no hesitation. The AC seemed to turn off at night, woke up sweating. Restaurants, staff, and lobby area were beautiful but I was charged for the room 2x, something I was told is happening with Expedia bookings for some reason. Currently waiting for my extra charge to be refunded. The stay was overall good. Would return 👍
