The room we booked was under renovation and had been for a while yet they still offered the room. The room they moved us to smelled of mold and old cigarette smoke with a view of the courtyard, and the other room was looking at the parking lot. The reservation was canceled by the hotel upon check-in. I am still waiting for a refund.

Originally, we booked an ocean front room but upon arriving our room was experiencing upgrades and we were given push back. They let us check in and then after arriving from dinner suddenly the “hot water” was out to the entire tower. We were swapped rooms and the room we were given was filthy! Dirt and dust particles all over the bed, couch, and walls. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone until they make the proper changes to operations. I’m currently dealing with being charged for both rooms for the one night. It hasn’t been pleasant at all. I gave this 2 stars because the night front desk clerk was nice.

We had prepaid breakfast for our stay. Ate o nly once. First day, they didnt have what we wanted to eat. Breakfast wait time is no less than an hour. Front desk staff wasnt helpful. Fora Shearton lounged property, no where near tye expected standard. Not staying at another Sheraton property. Would have been better at a Hampton!

The front desk clerk let us check in early and check out late. The breakfast buffet was extensive, fresh, and delicious. We were walking distance to the beach and restaurants. It is off season, but the pool and the hot tub were open. Staff were friendly and helpful. I’m

Only reason not a five is that the property is getting a little dated and showing it’s age. All things considered, I would return though.
Oh, and there is no included breakfast, they charge $20 per person for breakfast.

Very pleased
Before our trip we read the many reviews. Concerned regarding the negative comments. However we were absolutely pleased with accomadations. Very clean, no bugs, comfortable clinate co trol in the roo, beautiful beach/ ocean review. We wete even lucky to checkin way before the normal check in time.

We requested early check in, even paid extra for an earlier flight because it did not seem like it was a problem. When we arrived we we’re informed that they would not start checking anyone in until 4:00. We were not the only people in this situation. So there is about a half dozen families wandering around for 4 hours. One of the gentlemen pointed out to the front counter that there is no way all the rooms are just magically clean at 4 and there had to be rooms becoming available prior to that but the front desk stood firm on the 4:00. Kicker is the bar in the lobby was not even open. The building could use some maintenance. Housekeeping supposedly only comes every other day but the never showed up. Ran out of toilet paper, towels, everything and had to call them On a more positive note the location was really nice. The oceanfront rooms are right on the ocean. Shopping and restaurants within walking distance.

Perfect Beach Vacation
Perfect location with the beach right outside our balcony! Short walk on beach to dining and shopping. Delicious food and fun drinks. Clean room. Would love to stay forever!

It was all we needed for our stay. The only thing was one bed was full of sand and when we asked for new sheets they were dropped off and we had to make the beds. No one cleaned the room the whole time we were there but we were not in the room much. Liked the parking garage.

Lost on the beach
Place was desperate need of cleaning and painting. Management needs to do a better job of cleaning the place up. Also, front counter would not give change for washing machine.

Good hotel and pet-friendly which is awesome. Great location right on the beach and close to a few places to eat. Staff were all nice and the area/room was clean. But, WATCH YOUR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD CHARGES. We paid in full 2-months prior to our stay via Expedia. I even told the front desk this when we checked-in. BUT, they still put a hold on my debit card for the entire amount when we checked in. The hold came off when we checked out, but it should've never happened in the first place. The front-desk people said it was a "system issue" that the company knows about and is evidently very common for anyone who books through a 3rd-pary. Yet, they don't seem to care enough to fix the issue.

The best part was the view from the balcony but that was it. Most definitely will not be back. One of the beds was badly broken, shower and bathroom had hair in it, bathroom door and balcony door did not lock, desk was broken, and roaches and gnats in the room as well. We dealt with it because we were only there 2 nights. Staff offered to change our room for the last night but, we were iffy about the condition of the other room since this one was so bad. Parking is terrible if you are staying the tower. Oh, they charge you $5 per day to park as well. End result, book somewhere else or if you do, avoid room 534 in the tower.

Comfortable place to make great memories!
We came from IL to a funeral and decided to stay with you because we got married in Ft Walton Beach and stayed there over 20 years ago (6/9/01 anniversary date) again. We have decided to make an annual trip to tour destination due to liking it so much and the sentimental value it has with us.

The property is not maintained well. I would never stay there again. Breakfast Buffet not good. NO POOL TOWELS! Carpet in room dirty, sheets looked stained, ceiling was stained, ocean view included looking at a rusted roof and patio furniture was two different types of chairs that were not the same. Shower was dirty.

This was a Sheraton property, yet it had the quality of a Motel 6. I arrived early for checkin, but was told nothing was available, check back later. When I drove up, I noticed that there was hardly anyone there. Almost abandoned. When I came back at 4 for checkin, I was given a room key. This was fine. When I went to the room, the quality inside was disappointing. But, I was going to go with it. I turned on the TV and got nothing but snow, and analog. I went to front desk and told the girl about it. She just simply shrugged her shoulders in an - Oh well - manner. I asked for another room, and she said there were no more. Again, I could see from parking lot, it was not near capacity. The lot was only 1/3 full at best. She said she would send maintenance. I asked how long as I didn't want to wait all night for maintenance. She said she had already contacted him and he was on the way. Maybe five minutes. So I went back to the room and waited over 45 minutes. I went back to the desk. The girl said the same thing. Then started making excuses that he probably got detained at another room. I simply asked for a cancellation, which she did. Now, it is past 6 p.m. in Destin and I have no where to go. Thank you. Thanks alot.

Arrived at hotel and was given key to room. Carried luggage to room, key opened the door sort of. The lock opened but the safety latch inside the room kept us from opening the door. So we carried bags back down to front desk to let them know what happened. To the night manger Ariels credit she moved us to a suite since there were no other rooms available. That was a nice gesture for sure but, toilet ran constantly and the shower had little if any water pressure. Being in a suite there were 2 tv’s but only one worked. The complimentary coffee maker had parts missing so we called the front desk twice to ask for another. We had to take defective coffee maker down the next day and give to the nice lady and the front desk before we had it replaced the next night. So we stayed in the suite for 3 nights but had to move out for our 4th night to a standard ocean front room. It was fine but the tv didnt work in this room either. To there credit they did send maintenance to fix it and had it done when we got back to the room hours later. After arriving back to the room about 10pm we hit the hay for our last night. But then my wife turned on the light in the bathroom to see a large roach in the sink!! Being that late and the last night we toughed it out and left early the next day. When arriving at the airport we saw a couple who had the room next to ours, they asked about our stay and it appears they had the same roach problem. Needless to say stay away from this property.

The stay was fantastic, we had a wonderful experience. The ac unit was away from the bed and it was very hot, we asked for a fan and it was provided which solved the issue. The bed was very comfy and we couldn't asked for a better view!

The property seemed very outdated. No air in the elevators..but great cool air in the rooms. Had to have tech come in and repair tv and someone bring us a new shower curtain:( Room was clean but grounds not so much. Pool was shut down by the health dept at one point. Perks...not many people were staying here so we had great beach time with little competition for space & ocean view. MAJOR PERKS: PARKING, RESTAURANTS ON SITE, & FRIENDLY EMPLOYEES!

We loved our stay. Between pier, beach, pool everything was super convenient & easy to get to walkable distance. Our room wss super clean & we were super comfortable staying here and the pools were warm, clean& not crowded!!
We will be back.
Also we loved our beach view room!!!! That was a plus... the hotel & beach were super quiet at night!!!

The only problem we had is they charged my bank account twice for the entire stay. $2600 total and should have been $1300. It took 2 days to correct and we had to dispute the charges with our bank. For some reason they could charge the amount but not refund it. Once we figured that out our stay was nice and relaxing.

Should of chosen the HOLIDAY INN.
The pictures online looked incredible. It showed this nice room and comfy bed-that was not the case. Our room looked like a rundown motel 6! Carpet old, smelly. Showers small and soap dispenser had been ripped off the wall and just propped up. We paid a lot for a very underwhelming experience. Staff was nice. Parking was limited. Grounds were clean.

Not a hotel. This is a Motel. If it was anywhere other than on the beach in Florida, this would be a one-star, side of the highway motel that you stay at when driving cross country and need to sleep. Towels were stained and dirty, hairs all over the shower, and the overall exterior of the facility looked worn out and dilapidated. But because it’s on the beach in Florida, you get to pay $400 a night. On the plus side, the noisy AC unit worked well and the beds were comfy.

We arrived at hotel and our room was not ready for check in. Had to wait 45 minutes, we had no toilet paper in our room and everything I asked for towel it never came. Requested room clean and never got it. Pool and hot tub were dirty and no towels ever at the pool either. Never seen such horrible service in my life.

The pictures on the website are deciving. Hotel is old and dirty. Found worms, spiders and spider webs in my room. Bathtub doesn't drain. I had to cancel my reservation and look for another hotel. I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in that place.

Yes it's close to beach but how about an update
Hotels on the beach in Fort Walton Beach could use an update. The hotel owners know they can get away with not updating or just plain making repairs to rooms because of the popularity of the area. It is a shame they get away with it. I have pictures but that feature of your site would not download them. One was a towel rack held up on one side with masking tape. Another is spackling on a large area of the wall never being painted and a lamp which should have been replaced, in bad condition. Definitely will not return to this particular hotel in future.

Don’t book if you plan to arrive sooner than 4:00pm! They will forcefully make you wait until 4:00pm on the dot to check in, it’s very inconvenient to have to wait with your suite cases, the furniture was very dirty and full of stains including the balcony sliding door, the refrigerator was leaking water and they left the puddle of water, the rolls of toilet paper were half way used and it was nearly impossible to get a new roll of toilet paper when we ran out, the hotel was very outdated and not clean even the elevator needed some cleaning.

Not worth your money. The only good in this place is the location and pet friendly. Other than that it needs to be renovated and enhanced. Its not the typical hotel by Marriott or the Sheraton. And breakfast for two only. And if you have kids, you have to pay. And its not that clean.

Room was extremely humid and air conditioning was not functioning properly. I spent my entire vacation sweating. Even to go to sleep at night it was unbearably hot. I was very disappointed. I had to call house keeping several times to give us new towels, clean the room and change the linen on the beds. There were cockroaches in the bathroom and on the nightstands.

Hotel was just okay. Only thing we enjoyed was the convenience and the beautiful view of the beach. Our room was hot and sticky to the point even the bedding felt wet just gross. Also had german roaches in our room yuck. Also the trash overflowed so quick trash bags are itty bitty and when asking for more they wouldnt just give them to us we had to wait for them to be brought to us. No room service in our 2 nights either. Breakfast was great though. Probably wont stay at this hotel again.

My husband and I took our first trip to the Destin/Fort Walton Beach area and are so glad we decided to stay at the Four Points Sheraton in Fort Walton Beach! Our ocean view room was the perfect location - beach access where we could rent chairs on the beach for the day, two swimming pools and a fun beach bar/grill on the property, and within walking distance to the Okaloosa Island Pier and Boardwalk.

Our room was nice. It’s well updated. The outside is deceiving- the outside still has a 70s/80s look. The outside was nice and clean, it just gave an old look and makes a person wonder if the room will be nice. Once we walked in all skepticism vanished. I loved the beautiful bathroom & shower. The access to the beach was nice and felt safe. We had a nice getaway weekend. I would lodge here again 😊

Mold on the bedroom ceiling. Tub doesn’t drain and hair everywhere in the tub and towels. Had to ask 4 times for the original set of towels. That took 5 hours to finally get. I left a night early and lost $400.

I went into the room and the tissues in the bathroom had someone’s hair from shaving, the toilet was not flushed/cleaned, and the soap was completely out along with the shower not being cleaned.

Nice hotel and location. Coffee, body wash and shampoo were included.
For the price some of the furnishings located in room need to be cleaned as they are stained and dirty. Hot-tub was not hot. Additional fee for parking was not included in price.

I have been coming here for 10 years and just the property. Beach and pools are great, as well as the service we have been provided. East to walk to shop and good eating places. Plan on going another 10 years as long as my health and traveling sister and daughter are with me.
