My friend and I were traveling with our daughters for softball in her camper when it broke down. We booked this hotel at the last minute and showed up a little frantic. Brooklyn, at the front desk, went out of her way to provide whatever we needed for a comfortable stay. She even went so far as to bring a microwave to the front lobby for us to heat our food we had brought and offered us refrigerator/freezer space if we needed it.

Arriving at dinner time, Holiday Inn’s front desk staff was amazingly helpful. Expedia WAS NOT. I ATTEMPTED to check in with a confirmed, fully paid Expedia booking. The hotel had no record of my booking. After more than 30 minutes of trying to contact Expedia, I just paid the hotel directly so my older parents could get to their room. I will NEVER use Expedia again.

First floor hallway smelled like very strong urine. Told the front desk, said they would tell housekeepers but I think it was just so stuck in the carpet there was no getting rid of that smell. Could kind of smell it on our floor and room the first day but next day was better. The first floor never got better. Room wasn’t as cleanly as we thought it should of been.

My son and I really enjoyed our stay. Ms. Brooklyn was so nice and so helpful. Not sure how or why but we were also blessed with breakfast vouchers on Saturday. Definitely will be going back. We were June 9th-11th. The place was very clean.

Spartanburg hidden gem!
The stay was amazing! I frequent the area and this is the first time I have seen this hotel. They said it was new/recently opened. The staff is 💯 percent great every moment! I loved it.
My only concern was the bathroom as it was not that clean but I always clean when I go out of town. Other than that it was great!!!

This place was a dump. Our room was dirty, we had only 2 towels and one washcloth and no one was at the front desk to help us get the things we needed. The elevator for 4 floors was so slow that I actually thought it was broken. Horrible place.

I was not given the room I booked, and had to get an additional room. The hot water barely ran and the stopper in the sink did not work making it difficult to wash. Breakfast was a joke.

The original room that we were in had a toilet that wouldn’t stop running, so we had to move to another room because there wasn’t any maintenance personnel onsite. We were upgraded to another room, which was great. The next day we went to breakfast with friends, and did some other things, to return to a room that was not cleaned. When we called the front desk, we were told that all of the housekeeping staff were gone and we should have requested to have the room cleaned. This was at 2:30pm. The hotel was very clean and Brooklyn (a staff person) was great, but not having our room cleaned made the experience less pleasant.

Reserved room with tub. Didn’t get a room with one and they didn’t have a room to put me in so the reservation wasn’t for what we wanted. Our cards were double charged also and the lady who checked us in could not correct it

The restaurant is under construction but aside from this, this hotel was perfect for a one night stay over. The young man at check-in was very polite and friendly.
The room was clean and stocked with enough towels for our stay.
Overall, we had ZERO complaints and recommend this to others.

The staff was extraordinary. All 3 members we talked to were very helpful and they seemed to enjoy their work.
Was sorry the dining room was having a remodel but they had arrangement for a breakfast order if needed or wanted.

Disappointed
Arrived late and found out there was no breakfast served due to remodeling. They said there was some sort of snacks for breakfast in the little store but didn’t see any. Got to room and the temperature was set at 76. It was hot for summer and took most of night time cool room. The refrigerator didn’t work and only 2 towels provided

The staff and the manager were excellent and very accomodating. Because of the ongoing construction on I-85 business Route, this hotel should post more accurate direction for arriving and departing guests.

The hotel is being renovated but the staff accommodated this inconvenience by being very available and happy to help with any and everything at all hours. There were very genuinely positive staff interactions from all staff at all levels.

We chose the hotel because it advertised a hot continental breakfast. But the kitchen was closed - and a cold, shelf stable bag of snacks was set out to pick up instead. Bottled water and some snacks. Not worth the trouble.

Nice Option in Spartanburg
Good spot for quick AAU trip, close to food, ATM, etc...Clean rooms, not noisy although there were lots of teams there. Overall quality hotel for the money.

Pick somewhere else if you are looking for service
Air/Heat did not work in our room. Stayed here due to the restaurant, because we had a dance competition late and early and it would be convenient for food. Unfortunately, the restaurant was under refurbishment and this is not advertised. They said they would do a complimentary bag breakfast from 6-9. The next morning went down at 8 to pick it up on our way to dance and they said they were already out and for time restraints it was too late to stop on the way to get anything else. The next morning, I went down earlier to get it and to my surprise it was an apple, a granola bar, and a pack of mini muffins. Not happy! Also the bed was made on the couch bed so I am sure those were not clean, which grossed me out and did I say the heat/air did not work nor the phone to call downstairs to tell anyone either and the advertised daily housekeeping didn't happen either. No maid service at all. The rest was clean, just wont stay here again.

Room had road noise, was not quiet. Also, the power went out at 3 am and was still out when we checked out. No hot water to shower or wash up or freshen up before leaving. Asked manager at check out if she could compensate us for the inconvenience even though it was not the hotels fault, but she said since it was thru a third party she could not

1 night stay
I just needed a night while my furnace was being fixed. The place was quiet and neat. The bed had like some plastic barrier under it that I managed to still get some sleep on. The bed was comfortable. I didn’t really use service for anything so I’m not sure how to rate that. I’d stay here again.

Poor hotel conditions
The hotel room was poorly maintained. Cracked ceilings. A sliding glass door that does not lock (with kids, not good), and poor room lighting. There was a woman complaining about finding cockroaches on her floor/room. Will not be back. Will probably stop using the app for this recommendation.

I picked this hotel at random from the Hotels.com app,being a Holiday Inn I figuit would be decent. Unfortunately the hotel as well as the general vicinity seem to have fallen on hard times. The young lady at check in was very nice and helpful. Let’s just say the cleanliness of the room was in question. My wife was more than uncomfortable with the room and we checked out. I understand the issues every business is having in the COVID craziness, unfortunately the one item that can’t be compromised is cleanliness.

Lovely stay!
Easy, efficient check-in and check-out. I checked in on a rainy night and was given a little bag with a bottle of water and a granola bar which was such a sweet, thoughtful and unexpected treat! The location is very close to several places to eat and easy access to the highway. I would stay here again!

Not as clean as expected. The chair had crumbs around the edges, no blankets or sheets for the pullout sofabed, but the worst was the quarter sized mold in the AC with the fan blowing it everywhere. Not the most friendly of employees at check-in and out either.

The staff was super friendly! They are in the middle of remodeling which is a plus but in the shower I noticed many strands of hair in the bathroom and it was crumbs left on the sofa pull out bed. I just removed them with disinfectant wipes and the hair I just basically sanitize & disinfect the bathroom well the entire room with my personal products I brought along.

The property appears to have been recently remodeled- our room was nicely appointed and quite clean- very good! What was not good was that I booked and paid for two queen beds but our room had double beds. Also, we understood that this property had complimentary breakfast which it turns out was out of service. Our room had no bar soap or kcups or creamer when we entered - we had to go to the desk to get these. The woman at the desk was ok but a far cry from a hospitality professional and she was the only representative of the property that we associated with so our overall impression of the staff rested entirely on her shoulders - a lot of pressure and she, unfortunately, doesn't seem to be the best example of a host.

We actually didn’t end up staying. I was worried when I walked into the lobby and it was trashed. There was garbage all over the floor and it was obvious it hadn’t been mopped in a long time. I thought maybe they had been working on a project or something, so I gave the benefit of the doubt. I went up to the room and it was DISGUSTING. Urine on the toilet seats, dirty floors, and reeked. Even the hallways leading to the room were disgusting. We didn’t end up staying because it was so dirty. I’ve never turned away a hotel stay before (I’ve traveled all my life). This was the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever been inside.

I brought my family to SC to visit more family and we checked into Holiday Inn Northwest in Spartanburg. These pictures are not even half of the filth we stayed in. Check in was ok. The next day as we was about to get ready for the day this is the disgusting filth is what we see. Someone urinated on the toilet seat and this is what you called clean. As we left to get on the elevator we spoke to housekeeping (Teresa) about cleaning and needing new towels. She wore out information on her hand as she agreed to clean and give us towels. Which was about 9am Saturday morning. We came back To the room around 4pm to drop some things off and was in shock that the rooms were not clean nor did we have clean towels. We asked the front desk and they state the pipes have busted and they couldn’t wash the towels leading us to buy towels to use so that we can take a bath. This is not what I paid for. This establishment needs to be shut down and tried again. Got this to be a new location it’s gross. We checked in 6/11-6/13. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau.

I liked the size of the room.
Did not like the fact that the carpet was not clean, the bedding was stained and had cigarette burn on the duvet. Also very noisy and the blinds don’t really fit the window properly letting too much light in the room.

The property was clean, recently renovated and modern, appealing to the eye in all aspects. Staff was helpful and accommodating. Overall nice experience.
Upon arrival was given a King room with foldout. Reserved a two queen room. At firs the clerk said I needed to deal with Expedia to get this corrected, but did manage to get us into the correct type of room. It was very clean and spacious, but the mini fridge didn't work. No coffee, cups, creamer or sugar were in the room when we arrived either. Were not offering the advertised free breakfast, which was another reason we chose this property, due to the recent construction and renovations.

Entire Place is dirty, stay elsewhere
This place was probably nice a few years ago. You can tell it was updated within the last 3-5 years. However, the staff is not maintaining it. During check in there were literally 3 people in the lobby complaining to the front desk staff about a broken AC unit, messed up plumbing, and mold. They staff didn’t seem to care. The elevator and hallways on the way to the room were dirty. The carpet didn’t look like it had been vacuumed in forever. My room wasn’t much better. The carpet and chair fabric were stained. The bathroom floor was peeling up. The soap dispenser on the shower wall was crusty. It looks like it was straightened up, but not ever actually cleaned. There’s a big difference.

Enjoyed my time, but didn't refund my deposit.
I enjoyed my stay here. Not only is the location great, but the service is amazing and it's quiet. Whether your looking to get some peace and quiet or a place to stay after a good night on the town, this is the place to stay. The only downfall I have to complain about is that I never received my deposit back.

The property was under renovations but the area itself was clean and the staff were very accommodating. They were always smiling and greeting upon entering and leaving. The room was clean and in order. Appliances were clean. Bathroom was clean and smelled sanitized. Location was great for interstate travel and price was excellent.
