Overdue for a remodel
Our keys weren’t working the entire time after going down stairs and getting new ones. It smelled like mold when we got in the room initially. We had to leave the window open every time we left to keep it aired out. House keeping was definitely the highlight. She was very kind and helpful and cleaned our room really well. Definitely needs a remodel!

However the entry off of Bell Rd was scary and unsafe.
The air conditioner was loud all night and kept me awake.

Worst experience ever. There was a false fire alarm at 3 AM in the morning. No one knows what exactly happened. Unclean bathrooms, cracked tiles, unprofessional staff.

Disappointment
When checking in we were very nicely greated and welcomed. After getting off of the elevator on the 3rd floor, it was very evident that the condition of the hotel was in serious need of renovation. There was also trash in the hallway. Our room was very disappointing. The bed linens were dirty and stained. The bathroom had hair all over the floor and the shower curtain rod was about to fall off so the curtain would not stay closed while showering. We had a dirty washcloth left on our sink from housekeeping. The drain stoppper was missing from the sink which forced you to look down the disgusting drain especially when brushing your teeth. The only restroom on the first floor for people using the gym facilities, pool area, or dinning area was out of order. This is not acceptable for people with children. Also, several times the elevator would not work and we were forced to use the stairs. I'm very disappointed in my stay especially given the rate. We do not recommend this hotel and would advise you to look elsewhere. Anywhere else will be an upgrade given the condition of this hotel.

The general condition of the hotel is worn down. I was unable to get hot water for a shower, luke warm was the best I could get. Only cold at the hand sink and no plug so, I couldn't fill the sink to shave. Also, no plug allowed an unpleasant scent to waif up from the sink while brushing my teeth.
The toilet was 3/4 size, so if you have good knees, you're okay but if you have trouble standing from a sitting position without a grabbar, have a friend close.
There were some shady characters outside, as in homeless and sleeping in cars.
The bed was comfortable.
Television was limited.
Low expectations would be a good mindset to adopt for your stay.

The hotel is in a terrible area. 3 out of the 5 nights we stayed, there was a suspicious man riding his bike around the hotel with a loud speaker playing inappropriate music. the hotel itself is old, dirty and dingy. the bedside tables were sticky like they have never been wiped down. there was water damage on the ceiling of our room. the ventilation is terrible and if the guest in the room next to you uses the restroom, you will be able to smell it in your room. we had to ask for new pillow cases as soon as we checked in because the ones on the bed smelled like hair grease before i even laid down. the staff was friendly at least. i will never book here again.

This is the first Comfort Inn that had horrible customer service and rooms were old and carpet were dirty and no hot water to shower. We will never book Comfort Inn again

Carpet was filthy. Blood stains on pillow and sheets. When room was "cleaned" just emptied trash and left towels. Didn't even make the bed. Not a place I would stay again.

This place has never had the carpet cleaned, don't walk barefoot and then when you get home wash the soles of your shoes b/c they will be black! That is really my only complaint about it, they really should clean them at least once in it's lifetime but then if they ever spent the $$ on it they might fall apart from the shock.

During our stay our room was not cleaned and we were not given fresh towels. After complaining it still took another day for us to receive fresh towels. In was very inconvenient given we had booked this hotel for a total of 5 nights

Not what I expected
Beds were ok, the bathroom was kind of gross. Hair and spots on the ceiling in the shower and a little run down. On check in they gave me a room that was already occupied…so I walked in on someone. They changed my room, but that was a little unsettling. Breakfast was disappointing. Quite a few homeless people hanging around the area as well. I wouldn’t stay here again.

There was mold on the shower head the bathroom was disgusting and not really cleaned well. I was in the second floor and I tried to ask the maid for more towels and she never gave me any . Overall for the price of the room not worth it . I felt like I was at a motel 6

Old Run Down Hotel
When we arrived I was surprised how close this property was to freeway. There were several people in the parking lot tweaking out and then went inside hotel. I had asked for a room that was pet friendly since we had our Toy Poodle with us. After taking a rickety ride in the elevator we step out into a hallway that had over the top air freshners that made our eyes water. Opening the door to the room I stood in complete shock that I was paying $120 a night for this place. The rug was dirty and stained, the walls had marks all over them, the furniture had been chewed on by what appeared to be a large dog by the size of bite marks, the bedding and drapes were stained, bathtub had black mold growing along the edges, etc. A complete nightmare! I didn't want to stay there or have my dogs bed on that nasty carpet. The included breakfast consisted of kid style cereal, instant oatmeal, stale muffins, a self service waffle machine that was a mess, and bland scrambled eggs and microwaved potatoes. The coffee was mediocre.

Decent but bad parking
The hotel was fine - nothing spectacular but clean and comfortable. Our room was right next to the pool and spa so kinda noisy. The only real negative is that it is very difficult to get into and the parking is insufficient. It is hidden behind/between other businesses and does not have enough parking.

The room I was assigned at check in was non usable. The mattress was bare and stood up against a wall. There was an industrial fan aimed at the bed apparently trying to dry it out. When I returned to the front desk for a different room, I was told there were no other rooms available and was offered a refund.
I then asked if there were any rooms with reservations but who hadn't checked in yet, and was told there were. So I asked why I was being 'bumped' rather than someone who wasn't actually at the hotel already. I was told those other reservations were pre paid, but I reminded her that my credit card was already swiped so mine was too. She refused to be of any further assistance so I asked for the manager on duty. The manger wasn't on property and preferred to hide behind text messages between her and the front desk staff. When I asked for the manger to call me, I was told "she has kids" and this was the manager's personal time. Yet she had no problem texting back the employee immediately.
Ultimately I had no choice but to request a refund (which I'm sure will take 7-10 days to reverse on my credit card) and left. Staff at this hotel are absolutely incompetent. Ultimately I booked a room at a nearby Marriott Courtyard since I have lifetime platinum status with Marriott. I won't be returning to Comfort Suites again if I have any other option.

Ok for the price if you aren’t too picky
It’s an OK place if you aren’t too squeamish about dirty bathtubs and mysterious blobs on the furniture. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the AC worked well. The place is in need of updating. The toilet was slow draining and the bathroom was dim. The desk roller chair was junk. It tipped over when I leaned backwards in it and didn’t raise up to be useful at the desk Internet service was OK. No bacon or sausage with the scrambled eggs and waffles, just potato cakes.

Horrendous
Absolutely horrendous customer service. First they tried to turn us away because of our service animals. Then they tried to charge us a $150 deposit for the service animals. Then the general manager yelled at us and cussed us out and told us to get off his property stating we are DNR from their properties because we tried to show him the laws around service animals. Will never be back and we will be contacting a lawyer.

Clean and comfortable stay. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good, but nothing extraordinary. Facility was fairly well maintained. Pool looked inviting.
Overall a pleasant, enjoyable and affordable 2+ star hotel that is suitable for families.

In just a minute or two of walking around in our socks after showering, the bottoms of our socks were black. One of the top layers of the bedding felt like a shower curtain. The people were fine but overall condition of the place is lacking.

Great property with a Starbucks and restaurants within walking distance. Clean room, comfortable bed. Only problem was that the tub spout was loose and we had to mess with it to get the shower to work. Shower was.great once we did that.

There were bottle caps and whole pieces of food left on the floor from previous guests. Counters and surfaces were obviously not wiped down in quite some time. Vagrants camping in the parking lot and bothering guests at night. Needles and trash on the ground outside. I felt unsafe walking my service dog around the property. Most of the staff were very rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever.

Watch for Additional Undisclosed Fee
At check in the clerk tried to add an additional $10 charge to the booked reservation. When asked they first said it was a “hotel tax.” When I showed them tax was part of the reservation they explained it was like cleaning fees and stuff. They did waive the fee when I pressed the issue.

The rooms where decent, breakfast was good ,but the ran out of yogurt on Sunday and ran out of eggs on Monday. Staff was very nice. Would stay again . Love the fridge and microwave in room. Bed was comfy and pillows where great. Great to be able to swim in pool till 11pm.

It was short came in town for my sons concert and needed a place to sleep. Staff was great easy location to get to comfortable rooms. Would stay again for sure. Was please with no issues with checking in after midnight.

Checking in was easy, front desk lady was quick. However, I was told that parking was limited and if there were no spots I would have to park off the property and might get towed. The elevator was sketchy and made weird noises when it was moving and it was hot. Walking down the hall it smelled kind of like urine. The room looks nice but it has a strong smell of some sort of adhesive like the floors were just redone. Pretty sure I saw a prostitution exchange outside of the hotel so that was concerning especially since I had kids with me. The area is kind of sketchy

The Comfort Inn & Suites Phoenix North/ Deer Valley property was alright. The staff we encountered were nice. Breakfast was good. The room smelled alittle when we walked in but smelled fine after spraying. Anything that is white had little stains tho. The bathroom ceiling tho needs an actual paint that is for moisture. Pool was dirty.

I would not stay at this hotel again.. I left my body wash in the room, when I returned it was gone but my other products were still in the bathroom.. had to change rooms 3 times.. Tub was sunken in the middle and housekeeping never came to my room to bring towels or toiletries.. It is very close to restaurants and coffee shop.. 3 out of 10..

Their continental breakfast was nice. They have a commercial Waring flip waffle maker where you can make yoir own waffle. You can get the waffle batter from a dispenser next to the waffle maker. They have a coffee machine, sandwiches, muffins and bagels with a sandwich toaster where you can toast your bagels and wandwiches. They have orange juice, apple juice, cereals, yoghurt, scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. Very nice. We enjoyed our breakfasts in the morning. The room was clean, equipped with a coffee machine, a fridge and a microwave. The staffs were nice. We enjoyed our stay at Comfort Inn 😊

People were nice, but won’t be back
The people were very nice and friendly. The hotel is old, elevator was a bit scary, made noises, the room had an odor when we entered room. Shower was not hot, warm enough since it is summer, but just warm. We had to skim the bugs off the pool ourselves and there was dirt in the hot tub.
Breakfast was okay, wish there was some protein (bacon or sausage) just eggs and hashbrowns. But the food was good and clean.
Just an older hotel that needs some updates.

No blanket on my bed
I booked two rooms with two queen beds for one night. One the the queen bed didn't have a blanket on it, only the sheets. I called the front desk and asked for a blanket. They delivered a blanket to me within 5 mins. However, the blanket was a king size blanket. The staff explained that they are currently out of Queen size blanket.
