The room was cold, cold air was coming in the window, the card we were given to unlock the door didn't work, we were only given enough towels for two people, and we had three people. The vending machines were empty.

Upon arrival and check in I couldn't get in my room front desk had to come up and unlock it for me the door was broken somehow and on the inside of the door there was no lock to keep people out if something were to actually happen there was only a waffle maker and Cheerios for breakfast with some white bread there were stains on the sheet and the room wasn't very clean upon arrival either TV looked like the picture was going on in it so it was very blurry hard to see overall was just not a very good stay

The most disgusting hotel first floor flooded out and they knew about it but still put me into a first floor room. I had to get up about 11:45pm and go ask for a new room to go up to the second floor. That place is so dead I wouldn’t recommend anyone it’s horrible & disgusting.

My stay was very comfortable and Raj that was working the front desk was very nice and he worked with me on an issue I had which he didn't have to he is very pleasant and nice and met all our needs and accommodated this well nice clean Place big nice room and very reasonable repriced as well thumbs up

Not recommended
Not good. They said they had a pool but was down for maintenance and on could tell if has not been used for quite awhile. Only had one towel in the room ask for another bath towel and all they had was one small pool towel and the breakfast all there was six pieces of toast about half a bowl of cereal in the container and coffee and juice

The area is pretty sketchy around the hotel. The building is in awful shape, with the pool shut down and the rooms and dining area barely clean. The breakfast was white bread and milk. Nothing else. I forgot toothpaste and asked for some at the front desk. I was told they don’t carry it and cannot help me. The barebones was too much for this hotel. Highly recommend skipping and paying a few more bucks to stay somewhere better

Good budget friendly quick stay
We stayed one night and it was a good one night stay place if you just need a lay your head. Pool has been broke for a long time so dont book if you want/need that. The rooms are basic and are pretty clean. The room i was in had a missing outlet cover next to the bed with the lamps plugged into that. The shower was clean and had amazing water pressure but didnt drain well.

After our stay at the Oyo in Moline the night before, AmericInn felt like a palace! Very clean, accommodating and we had what we needed in our rooms. We did have to ask for towels and then ask again and then find the hotel staff in the laundry room to get the towels. Otherwise, a good place to stay.

Fine no food no pool
The hotel was ran down and dirty. The pool was empty and the free breakfast was an absolute joke. There was corn flakes a couple gallons of milk, apple juice, and a waffle maker. The room was okay, tho I am itchy from something there…the lady at the desk seemed bothered if anyone asked for anything. The guys puking in the parking lot when we arrived set the tone for the whole stay.

Room was dirty, stains on bedding. Found some type of bug on the pillow. Bathtub was dirty. New room we were moved to wasn’t any cleaner. Hair and debris all in the dresser, stains on the chair. Advertised a hot breakfast but the only option was one type of cold cereal. Waffle mix was empty and was told they couldn’t put anymore out. Just all around a horrible experience. 10/10 would not recommend!

It shows a pool and breakfast included. The pool has been down for over a year. Breakfast was a joke really. Waffles, stale cereal, and coffee. One morning they were out of waffle mix and a loaf of bread was thrown on the counter. Had to request another room. First one had ripped curtains and mold growing on them. We will never stay there again

This hotel was very filthy.. The pool was closed, spit wads completely covered the ceiling fan in the bathroom, room was dirty, the hall and lobby areas were really dirty, and the room made me cringe some.. I have stayed at many nice Americinns, but this one was terrible. The breakfast area did not have anything there except toast and dry cereal, the liquid coffee creamers were rotten.. I would tell anyone wanting to stay here, DON'T.

Honestly, this place was terrible. So dirty, could not shower because the drain didn’t work correctly so the bath tub filled up far too quick, stains on sheets, lamps didn’t work, microwave was dirty, I could go on & on.

Worst hotel experience I've ever had
Not good customer service. 2 towels in a room for 4 people. No washcloths. No kleenex/tissues. Clerk literally said word for word, "We have no towels," but when I pushed how they can be a hotel with no towels they brought me two stained pool towels that looked like rags to use instead. Pool was closed and appears to have been closed for a very long time. Mold in shower. Dead bug in room. Smelled like thick smoke and we had to air out the room. Apparently cereal and mild constitutes breakfast. Just a really uncomfortable stay. It might have been a little easier to handle if the staff was polite or acted like they wanted to be helpful.

I’ve been to plenty of motels in my lifetime but this one was definitely the worst. The outside of the motel should’ve been repainted as you could tell it used to be a Fairfield motel but the sign out front says AmericInn. It cost us $92 to book the room online and we had to pay an additional $100 when we checked in. We chose this motel because it had a pool but even that wasn’t available for use. The door to the lobby got stuck on the flooring so it had to be pulled shut. We could tell the floors hadn’t been properly vacuumed and the elevator smelled like melted crayons. The room was decent sized (deluxe king bed) but there was a few stained spots on the sheets. We found ticks on the floor in the bathroom. The ice machine was also unavailable for use. I’m not usually one to leave bad reviews but I definitely suggest (to anyone wanting to stay here) that you book somewhere else. This place isn’t worth the $192 we had to spend for just one night.

We checked in at 2pm. The place was very dirty. The windows were filthy and there was food and paper all over the lobby floor. Pool was closed and empty of water. The elevator was so grimey. The hallways smell of body odor & animal urine. The room itself was ok. Smelled like someone may have smoked in there before & the carpets were damp. The bed was made but there were several little black hairs on one of the queen bed's sheets. Plus hotel doors dont slam closed so a man walked in our room in the morning. Also when i asked for a 2nd key, she said they dont have enough because they were having more people come. Inwas the only car in the parking lot. Very weird. Instead of being on their phones the whole time it wouldnt hurt to stop at dollar tree and spring for a bottle windex & a roll of paper towel & start with the front foor and just keep wiping everything til u run out...and vaccuum the lobby & hallways. It wont be in business much longer maybe thats why they dont clean.

Lobby area was a dump. They could at least vacuum. Hallways - same thing. 3 cars in the parking lot, yet they didn’t have the king bed I reserved. Thankfully the room itself is fairly decent.

The handicapped room was nice. There was an ice machine in the hallway right outside our room that sounded like it was dumping ice, but there was no ice. The swimming pool was not open. In fact, there was no water in it and the pool area looked like a storage area. The complimentary breakfast was poor. Waffles, but no butter. No fruit. A few containers of yogurt and donut holes. The 2nd morning there was some bread to make toast, but again, no butter. We asked for fresh towels but didn't get housekeeping services at all. The front desk asked if we wanted the fresh towels the morning we were checking out (we only stayed 2 nights and wanted them the first night). The staff was nice enough while we were there, but would not give confirmation before we arrived that we would get a wheelchair accessible bathroom. We were told we had to call Friday morning because that is when they assign the rooms.

Our room was over 80 degrees when we arrived, took hours to cool down. Towels were stained, sink and shower did not drain properly, there was really nothing to eat for breakfast (out of batter for waffle machine, no juice, limited cereal), the pool was completely drained, nothing looked like the pictures. The staff did their best, but the front desk person was on their own as far as I could tell. I’d honestly have rather we slept in the car.

The property looked like a not very well maintained, a lot stuff piled on the storage rooms with doors open to see through. The room itself was ok with only one foam cup for coffee.
The breakfast was the worst I’ve ever had: basically it’s close to none. There are several bread slices, one kind cereal with a gallon mild (there was another gallon bottle with 1/4 full which I saw last afternoon when I checked in), oh a waffle maker which was good. The juice machine was only half functional with only orange juice. There was a coffee machine, but no cups at all! We had to run back room taking the only one foam cup for my coffee. And there was no forks either! Asked the front fest lady. She could find cups and forks as well. Don’t know what to say.

Filthy, poor customer service
This was an awful stay. I booked the room and when my husband checked in, he was told they had no rooms for him even when he showed them the receipt. He demanded the room as I had already paid in full. A few minutes later, a room was available and when he went to it, he saw it was clearly filthy and had been quickly straightened up, with a strong odor of curry in the air. He went to the front desk and told them the room wasn’t clean; they argued and told him he was wrong. Other customers shared similar dissatisfaction with him that night. Will never stop here again.

This property is not what is described and picured. It shows it has a pool, it sits empty with stored items all around. It states they have breakfast, we could not even get coffee at 930. The roof was leaking in the lobby, our room also appeared to have water damage. This property is well dated and in disrepair. 1 out of 3 employees that I talked to were nice.

Girl checking us in was on a personal call on speaker. Pool advertised but empty. Ice machine does not work. Asked for extra towels and got miss matched ones with holes in them. Old blood on sheets. Some kind of test kit solution left in ice bucket. Someone’s old broken box fan left in room. Not sure why it’s still in business.

The hallways in the hotel smell terrible. Random junk laying all over. Room wasn’t properly cleaned.. stains on the toilet, shower curtain, blankets. Absolutely disgusting stay.

The hotel was being remodeled. No pool. No sauna or hot tub dirty. Continental breakfast was not Continental breakfast. We were lucky if the waffle maker worked. They used a gallon of milk. Donut holes if you're lucky. Bread if you were lucky. Front desk gal was always on her phone instead of paying attention to patrons.

This once wonderful Fairfield Inn properly is a shadow of it's former self. Had to ask for a different room then the one originally given which smelled faintly of animal urine. Second room was much better than first. The room was clean, bedding was spotlessly clean, bed comfortable and bathroom immaculately clean. The pool was empty and recreational spaces not useable. Breakfast was a joke. Waffles, fruit juice, a few tiny yogurts, dry cereal, donut holes and a one gallon jug of milk were provided. No fresh fruit, no eggs, no bread or bagels - although there was a toaster and a little trawberry jam in a large jar. It did not seem that the no smoking policy was being enforced.

Room was fairly clean, but pool was closed, came down at 830 for breakfast & it was over because they ran out of food. If you are full you have to plan & accommodate your guests if you advertise free breakfast. System was down so couldn’t get a copy of receipt. Outside garbage receptacles were overflowing & smelly. Not a good experience.

The property was run down, the rooms were not clean, the pool is closed which it does not tell you that on the website, the breakfast was the saddest looking display of cereal and a gallon of milk, they still had Christmas decorations up. Would not go there again ever.

We were only given one key card because they "didn't have enough for two," the entire soda machine was empty, the shower curtain rod was falling off the wall, the property had trash everywhere. The morning we were going to check out, we were getting things packed, etc... and housekeeping tried to open the door without knocking or saying anything. Luckily we had the lock on, but there's no excuse for not knocking, especially when she had just watched me walk into the room with my dog.

This property was very run down and dirty. Pool had no water in it/was closed. Hallways looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. Breakfast was very minimal/almost nothing. Property looked like it needed many repairs and up keep and it was not being done

There was much in disrepair and external doors did not close on the ends creating an unsecured premises. Initially noticed the pool was closed was used as a storage area, not for a pool. Maintenance closets left open in disarray.

I am currently staying here. Robbed me and my family of money with empty promises and promotions on this site. They advertised a pool yet it was closed. Got into our room and the ice bucket was so dirty turned the water brown. The morning breakfast was a loaf of white bread. Everything is broken/out of service/ dirty. Sad excuse for a place to stay. I do not recommend. Should be flagged for all the inconsistencies.

Spend extra money for better place.
We didn’t stay. My wife and son were to stay. Hotel was in bad shape and not well maintained. Neighborhood was sketchy also. She felt unsafe and so we got her a different hotel. We asked for a refund but was unable to get one. From either the hotel or hotels.com. After hours of trying I finally got a voucher for $50 from hotels.com. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

Rooms were clean upon arrival. 1st room AC didnt work so staff moved us. Was there for 1 week, unfortunately room NEVER cleaned, and had to get our own linens and toiletries. Good luck getting wash cloths! Was given hand towels to use as wash cloths.

I have always liked AmericInn. They allow you to bring your dog. It would have been cheaper to board our dog instead of paying the extra fee. The pool was closed. That should have lowered our price. There was no indication of this on the website. There was nothing special about this hotel.

On the Expedia website looks like your basic clean hotel with all the amenities. Immediately when we walked in there was spackle (sp?) every where. The room had holes in the walls, dirt every where. Burn marks on toilet and a rusty/dirty shower. To top it off there were ants.

Pretty decent
Stayed only one night. Went up for a concert. Check in was pretty rough. They tried to charge me twice because they were having computer issues. Was also late for the concert due to checking in. Pool was closed, breakfast was limited, hotel needs a bit of touch ups but not too bad condition, place was practically empty during our stay. Honestly, I would stay here again and would give this place a 3.5 out of 5. Really cheap, middle of nowhere place.

1. Bathroom sink stopped up.
2. Outside hall access door not level- dragged and needed to force open/closed
3. Charged several times on card; I had to call several times to get it fixed and once I was hung up on
4. “Breakfast included” but waffles stick to pan, OJ machine Out of Order, coffee is instant, 5 slices of stale white bread for toast, only cereal available was a small amount of some kind of “flakes”. No fruit, no rolls, awful coffee, no instant oatmeal, no yogurt, essentially nothing to eat.
5. “Indoor pool” is dry; don’t bring your suit.
6. Found out AFTER paying for the room that our Dog is $35 extra.
Good qualities: the room was VERY clean and the king bed was very comfortable!

The room we requested was not available. The keys that they gave us to the replacement room didn't work. There was no breakfast available in the morning. The excuse was that workers didn't show up and the staff that did had to leave early. The room was not clean. For such a poor excuse for a hotel they charged $35 deposit for our small dog.

Tim was kind. Everything else was terrible. Bed bugs crawling around, *across me*, within 5 mins of laying down. We immediately left and it took a week to get a refund approved from the manager. At first my request was denied. Absolute joke.

Terrible place. Bathroom in my room was used, there is no soap, asked front desk and they said they didn’t have any, handed me shampoo. Bed looks like it was crudely made, pillows were not facing the correct way. Will not be staying here again.

I was there for a funeral! The outside door two doors away from my room did not close all the way, obviously did not lock! Scarey! Sketch neighborhood! Pool broken, walls chipped, older motel. No snacks available no Kleenex in room holder broken. Not enough toilet paper

The power went out in our room, there were no towels and the whole floor stunk like marijuana. And the remote to the tv in our room, said on the back it was for the Lobby tv, so it didn’t work and the tv didn’t work. We lost power twice in the night to our room, the A/C doesn’t work.

Breakfast was very very limited. No waffles, the only thing they had was a couple pieces of bread for toast and very little cherrieos. Listened to 2 guys yelling at each other Saturday night in room next to me and then woke up to BED BUGS on bed. Hotel is not. Ring maintained at all!

Started off great we got to get an early check in. But down hill after that. No swimming pool to be used. Asked about change of towels never received them had to go to the front desk to get them. No breakfast. To top it off we found bed bugs on our last night. Would not recommend

Very disappointing experience
The property was very run-down. I haven’t been there since it changed from the Fairfield two years ago, but I was a frequent visitor before then.
This stay was terribly disappointing. Smelled of smoke, peeled and chipped paint everywhere, holes in the room walls, toilet was dirty, curtains were ripped and torn, the heat was not controllable. The check-in didn’t have a key pocket for the room card to indicate the room number and only gave me one key, not offering a second for my partner.
I will not be back and will avoid this brand going forward.

I didn't like that they don't clean rooms daily. My trash was completely full. I asked about it, and they said we clean every other day, or as needed. Had very little for a breakfast. No flavored creamers or eggs or even sweet rolls.

Pictures are VERY deceiving! Buyer beware! It is in a very rundown part of town. They don’t have the pool open. The rooms aren’t very well kept. The continental breakfast consists of kid-size yogurt cups, old fruit and granola bars. Not worth the money and would NOT stay there again.

Three tries to get into a room!
Arrived at 11pm, key would not work, had to get another still didnt work, front desk came up and couldn't get it open. Got us another toom and key didnt work, front desk couldnt get it open either. Finally 3rd room she opened for us and gaves us keys (which ended up not working in the morning when my husband came back up from getting coffee) Went to take showers and only one towel. Had to go to front desk and only had one towel to give us. Finally we crawled in bed to realize it was a queen and we paid for a king. To tired to complain then. Did give us a discount but had a terrible night sleeping in a queen with my 6'6 husband.

Not worth the cost.
The room was comfortable. It appeared that fairly new carpet was in the room and hallway. The key readers on the doors were worn out and it took nearly a dozen tries EVERY time to get into our room even after going down and having them reprogram it. The tub was either stained or dirty but the shower had good pressure.
The entrance to the hotel needs a good cleaning. I understand that it is an old hotel but no excuse for not keeping the area clean.
The pool was broken (which we didn't know at the time of booking)
The breakfast area was very disappointing. Watered down batter for a single waffle maker, Instant coffee dispenser, no fresh fruit. There were a couple choices for dry cereal. I didn't expect extravagant spread but for the price of the stay I did expect more especially as we have stayed at several other Americinns and they were very nice

The new lady was a hard worker that just started. Hotel has chipped paint and is in need of some remodeling. Smelled and the air didn’t work correctly.

Pulled up and there was a sign on the door saying it was closed. Would’ve been nice if they had shut down reservations instead of us wasting our time.

Place of bad smells
The hotel was busy as a large sports event was in town. There wasn't enough staff to check people in. The counter person was amazing but over whelmed. She had to visually check if rooms were fit for check in, key cards wouldn't work. The hotel and room looked nice. But my room had a horrible mold smell. The clerk gave me a spray bottle of deodorizer. I eventually put air fresheners in the room, didn't help.
The website shows a functioning pool, the pool hasn't been used in quite some time.

Puzzled by unwanted “guest”
It was a nice room for the price & had everything I wanted - fridge, microwave, coffee pot (although there was only decaf). I was interrupted by what I thought was a soft knock late afternoon / early evening & then someone accessed my room with a key. I had the dead bolt on otherwise I would’ve had an intruder who was not asked to come in or acknowledged after tapping on the door. I yelled at whoever it was & they took off without offering an explanation as to why they were even there. Not happy about that at all !! Tried to call the front desk 3 or 4 times, but nobody picked up.
