We had a show in one of the banquet rooms for two days and our staff also stay there. I am usually underwhelmed by hotel catering but the Brickhouse restaurant which catered it was fantastic all our customers loved the food. The facilities were clean and perfect for what we were doing. heather our server for both days was one of the best servers we’ve had anywhere in the country she took care of not only us but our customers. overall the really nice trip unique knocked it out of the park

We stayed just one night for our granddaughters VBall game. The hotel was within one mile of the University. We loved the Brick House Bar and Restaurant The food was really good. Service was great.
The room was clean , but I think they may need to invest in some mattresses.

I thought the place was very clean and the staff that I met was very nice.
I did not like that there was no fan in the bathroom. When bathrooms have fans it is a lot nicer to be able to dry off after a shower. Since the fan will take in the steam.

Family time
Visiting daughter for Family Weekend. Room was simple and all we needed. Nice restaurant and out door patio area. Enjoyed sitting around the fire pit and visiting.

The staff was so friendly. I'm disable and they had us on the 2nd floor at first and they cleaned a ground floor room for me. The lobby and restaurant was clean and beautiful. The only thing that I had a problem with is the bed is too hard. But overall I would stay there again and recommend it to my family and friends.

The rooms were nice, pretty clean and comfortable. I told them 4 people and they gave us 3 towels. And the coffee maker was very stained. Which was okay because they had coffee in the dining room. The landscape outside was very welcoming.

We asked for a ground level room about to months in advance and when we checked in we were told all they had was upstairs I can not do stairs I have a bad knee the guy was taking no for in answer we all most left and we got a lower level room it did not have a phone in the room so when we we’re running out of towels we had to go to the front desk very late at night to get things the outlets did not work all except for one or to when my son checked out the morning we left there were about to or three people in the office totally ignoring me I waited for about 10 minutes and then I went to ask someone for help about checking out she was not trained on the desk so then I had to wait another 15 minutes and then I asked for a receipt I booked through Expedia and I was told that they could not give me a receipt because I booked through Expedia so I did not get one you are better off staying somewhere else unique suites NEAVER AGAIN!

Great stay . The bath/ shower was the cleanest I can ever remember seeing in a hotel. Room was a tad dusty but not bad.

Very kind and accommodating. This place is peaceful and quiet. Clean rooms. This is a good place to stay as a woman working at Sarah Bush Lincoln and home alone, I feel safe. Thank you Carrie for all your good people and all they do for people like me!

Very nice lobby, bar, and restaurant areas. The executive room we used nice enuf. Good cooling comfort, beds great, very clean sheets. rt
Couple wall cracks. Good water pressure for shower, bath. Outdoor sidewalk overhang for upper level needs work but all very functional..Would stay again.

The overall stay was good. The furniture in our room needs some updates. The bed was squeaky, the table was wobbly, and the chair felt like it could break under you. The room however had plenty of space for us to set up a pack and play for the little one.

Friendly staff. Uncomfortable beds.
The staff was wonderful. Victoria checked me in and out and was very kind. We left a purse behind and a staff member called me as soon as they found it so I was able to go back and get it before i got too far away. The only issues I had were the beds are very hard and uncomfortable and also the wifi didn’t work in the building I was in. Overall our stay was fairly good.

Old style motel
The lobby and dining was great, the rooms were not so good. The lamp shade were cracked and dingy, the door barely closed without the deadbolt. It was very expensive and not worth the money at all. Very disappointed!

First it’s listed as a hotel; had I known it was a motel I would not have reserved a room there. The crack was so big in the door I saw light coming through all morning! I had the heat on 85 because the wind was coming through the door and it was 28-30 degrees those nights of my stay! It was not a clean room sheets had holes! Never again!

The lobby and restaurant looked great but the rooms were dirty. We asked to be switched after we realized there was hair and stains on the pillows, bedsheets and floor only to check in to our second room and find all the same issues .

Nice hotel, clean rooms, friendly staff, great selection of beers on tap. We booked online and paid in advance via the website. When we checked in, we were asked to swipe our credit card so they would have it on file. However, we were double-charged for the room in the process. The next morning we explained what happened and the front desk clerk refunded the charges with no issues. We would stay here again.

This is the worst hotel I have EVER stayed at and I travel a lot! The rooms smelled moldy & musty. The sheets felt wet. I went to take a shower and the towels felt like I already had. 😠 My room was a so called Executive Suite.....it wasnt a suite and was just a regular room.
One of our rooms was supposed to be for handicap, but I couldn'treach the shower head and the floor of the shower was extremely slippery. . Definitely was NOT worth $110 per night.....maybe $20. Very disappointing. I switched to the Holiday Inn.

Terrible terrible terrible don’t stay there
Check in staff were bored, never smiled, door key did not work, then I was given a dirty room, finally got a third room that was moderately clean, dusty, musty. No one desk staff apologized for my three trips to finally get in a room. When I told the bored young lady the second room was had not been cleaned she said “oh really?.

A lovely hotel with the pleasantest staff I have ever encountered! The room was clean, the air conditioner worked well, and the dehumidifier kept the room very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and my daughter loved the outdoor pool. We would definitely stay here again, but we will not book through Expedia who charged $20 more than the actual room rate.

Class Reunion Weekend
The rooms are old and need remodeling, paint falling off walls in bathroom. The beds were decent. Ample space in the room with microwave, refrigerator and small coffee pot. The Breakfast was served from 6-9am but if you got there after 8:00am there was nothing left. Unfortunately, not many hotels in Charleston to choose from. Will go to Mattoon next time.

We had to call for late check in and wait 20 minutes for someone to show after calling the number on the door 5 times with barely an apology. Late check in procedures were not listed anywhere on their website, social media pages or in my confirmation for booking email. You can hear everything going on in your neighbors rooms and there was pee on the toilet when we checked in.

A Great Place to Stay!
Whenever I come to Charleston I always try and stay here. I put in a special request for a particular room and almost always are able to get it. Friendly and helpful staff. Garth is absolutely the best (restaurant and bar).
Breakfast is decent - a variety of bread (bagels, English muffins, etc.), scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy (yummy), cereal and fruit. Of course coffee, juice, and water are also available. This last time I was there, I believe breakfast was over at 9 am. That is a little early for me, but I was still able to make it just in time. I wish it went closer to 10 - 10:30. I think it used to go to a later time. I will just need to adjust my time in the morning and go earlier.
The outdoor pool is nice. I didn't swim this time, but I have in the past. The bar is one of the best!
The only issue that I have regularly is the key cards don't always work. Only one worked this stay. There have been times when the same key has been reprogrammed multiple times - even right after check-in and going straight to the room. I wish this area could be updated and improved. The staff is always helpful and apologetic to me for the issue. Overall though, I have no real complaints.
As I was leaving, staff was going through the parking lot and walkways and picking up trash that people had left. Come on people - don't throw your trash on the ground - including cigarette butts!

The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the room was clean and well-organized. It was quiet and the air conditioning was quiet and easy to get just right. I'm not a fan of exterior corridors, but in small towns that is often the architecture. Only one dislike, but the countertop on the vanity appeared to have been repaired to cover old burn marks, which just didn't fit with the condition of the rest of the room, and made me wonder at first about the cleanliness. It was well-cleaned, though. It also was a bit off-putting to see an ashtray on top of the outside of a neighboring room's AC unit - again this doesn't fit with the inside condition of the room, but not allowing this would provide a better impression.

Were from Florida and they put us in the room furthest from the restaurant. There are no inside hallways. Yes you have to walk outside to get to the lobby or restaurant. Were told breakfast at 6. Got there at 6 all doors locked and a sign saying lobby ipens at 6:30. Not image I had when we booked.

Probably one of the best, cleanest places I've stayed. Everything, and I mean everything, was clean. No dust, no critters behind the beds, sheets/towels were pristine. Breakfast was good, coffee excellent, staff super friendly. I wasn't expecting much, but was 'wowed' with what I got. Well done. Very well done.

Requested a ground floor room at check in and was told there was no availability. Amazing as the entire hotel was practically empty. So, basically I was lied to. One of the reasons we booked this out of our way hotel was that it offered breakfast supposedly 6:30-9. Well, that was another lie. No breakfast, didn't even have coffee. As a matter of fact, I don't think anyone showed up for their shift the morning of our check out. The side lobby entrance doors were still locked. The room was decent, the beds comfortable, but I'd never stay or recommend this place to anyone.

Clean, newly remodeled, great place to stay!
I have stayed at Unique Suites twice now and both rooms have been newly remodeled and both were very clean. They have an awesome restaurant/bar on site as well. The staff has been very pleasant and are always at the front desk when I need anything. Highly recommend to everyone!

Very disappointing
I was less than impressed with my stay. My room had a slightly damp feeling to it and slight musty smell that didn't go away. Room service knocked on my door Saturday (August 7, 2021) morning to ask if I needed room service. I told them I'd be leaving in about 30 minutes and would they mind coming back after that? The girl doing room service said that would be no problem. When I came home that night around 8pm, having been out all day, I discovered room service never came to back. This morning I was going to use one of the towels hanging on the back of the bathroom door and discovered they weren't fresh towels. They were towels from the PREVIOUS patons! I know this because they were covered in hair that was not mine. Overall, I'd say I grossly overpaid for the quality I received. Needless to say, I won't be staying there again.

This is a very nice property. Nice pool and outdoor dining area so you can have lunch by the pool in your swim attire. The property is clean and well cared for. The only issue we had is the keys to the rooms seemed to only work when they wanted to. We stayed 2 nights and went through 3 sets of keys. We will be staying here again.

Pleasant stay
This hotel is a renovated motel. The rooms are comfortable and it was nice to park our car right outside our room. The staff is super friendly and take pride in making your stay good. When our key card wouldn't work the staff came back with me to make sure the room key worked. The beds were comfortable, water pressure great, there was a nice outdoor pool, and the free breakfast in their restaurant offered a decent variety. The rooms all had dehumidifiers which helped but we had to empty it 3 times during our one night stay.

Unique Suites has a nice bar/restaurant, the outside patio is accommodating, the pool is above average. The rooms are small and outdated but clean, this is not supposed to be a fine resort. My beef is that I wish it was closer to town/university as there is no place to walk.

Very Nice!
Check in was smooth and friendly. Room spacious, clean and comfortable. Water HOT! Pool was great. Morning brekfast was above average. There is an on-site restaurant, we didn't have time to taske advantage of. there is also an on-site bar which was great, evan has a firepit outside.
