The staff were very welcoming. We dropped our belongings in the room and headed out for dinner. There were a lot of options close by. When we got back we noticed a hot chocolate and tea area. A lovely touch. The room was very clean but the bed was atrocious! It sunk in the middle. We kept falling into each other during the night. It took me 5 minutes of warm up stretching to be able to stand upright the next morning. Also the refrigerator made a weird high pitched noise. I almost unplugged it.

No channel guide for TV available in room. No extra blankets or pillows in the room as most hotels have. AC did not work efficiently.

Staff was amazing. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was because the bed was pretty uncomfortable. Also, room service came in and took all the dirty towels and didnt leave clean ones so we had no towels left in our room, we had to go downstairs to get some from the front desk. Other than that, hotel is pristine and staff is AMAZING

Stayed here for a 3 day weekend visiting our daughter at UVA. Comfy bed, decent breakfast and coffee was always hot and strong. Will stay here again.

Will definitely stay again
Lauren was very welcoming at check in. Our room was clean and the room was quiet. Breakfast was great with plenty of options. Hotel was close to shopping area and soccer fields.

Comfortable and inviting
The ladies at the front desk were so personable and friendly. I felt as if I definitely ask them for anything. They were very welcoming and inviting. The hotel was clean; breakfast was okay; the room was comfortable and I have a hard time falling asleep in hotels. Overall I would stay again if I need to for short periods.

Overall not up to Marriott Bonvoy status
The mattress was uncomfortable, and the carpets were old and dirty. The room was very small for the price per night. There were a bunch of people grilling out back like they lived there, and homeless people hanging out. Weird. Breakfast was good and people were very nice.

Staff were friendly and efficient. Lots of clean, good quality linens. Lots of hot water and water pressure was high. There was black mold under the soap holder in the bathroom. The artwork in the room can only be described as dark and suicidal. It was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Kind of a up and down experience but overall good enough.

this is my go-to place in Charlottesville
The front desk staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Unlike other affordable hotels, they actually appeared to be happy that we were guests. Coffee and tea all day. Breakfast was very good...plentiful and diverse. Rooms are very clean.

The Inn was clean and quiet. After long travel days this and a good shower makes it the best. They did have a small food and snack pantry which is convenient for me since I sometimes dont get there until late.

The defunct restaurant next door is a hangout for Vagrants which made me very concerned for the safety of my $100,000 specialty work truck and its high tech tools etc inside. I've used this hotel for years and no concerns when restaurant was operating

Gym was disappointing. Dirty and 2 of the 3 machines were not working. Food bar was great and room was clean. Grateful to have this room after 24 hours of no power during wonder storm!

Stayed only one night, staff was professional and kind, young man working the breakfast was so attentive and didn’t stop working for a second. Rooms were very clean and beds very comfortable.

Check in was good. Common areas were clean. The room cost $241 for one night. Very high but it was priced the same as other area hotels. Our room smelled odd and the beds were very soft. The carpet felt damp but it wasn’t. Maybe it had soap residue from being cleaned. It wasn’t terrible but we would not stay here again.

Whilst we enjoyed our stay we were disappointed at how outdated our room was particularly the bathroom. It was somewhat clean but had rust stains around the toilet floor and the toilet itself was not stabilized to the floor. Shower head very old and definitely no updates for quite some time. At 250.00 per night I expected more.

Motorcycle was revving in parking lot very early in the morning for extended time which woke us up. Then we could hear traffic from highway. A lot of light was coming through curtains even though closed. Then housekeeping was knocking on door at 8:30am. Not a restful stay.

Wife & I enjoyed it. Continental Breakfast was a no show. Very little to choose from. My guess is once COVID is FULLY over with they’ll add to the breakfast. Otherwise a great place to stay. Thanks Ffield Inn!

The room was a handicap room with double beds. I was not really given a choice on this. The room had an odd smell that I couldn't get rid of. I was told coffee was available at all times, but there was no coffee at all when I went down to get it. Even at 10am. It was not a horrible stay, but for Fairfieild Inn, I thought it was a little

The room was clean and well prepared for our visit. Checking in and out we’re very easy with friendly staff.
The only minor suggestion I have is to work on making the curtains capable of keeping the room darker. Even at night the light from the parking lot sneaked in around the edges of the curtains.

This hotel is very convenient. We were visiting our daughter whom is a student at UVA. Very close to the campus. Well located for easy access to restaurants. The property is well maintained, clean and friendly. Also pet friendly as we had our dog with us.

Very loud, small clean dated room
The hotels was very noisy, the rooms were so small, and doors so without sound proofing, that if felt like the people in the corridor were right next to you in bed. We decided to leave and stay somewhere else. $100 down the drain.

The hotel was clean and comfortable and the desk clerk was quite friendly and helpful.
Small issue: the 24 hr a day coffee pots were empty and the cream/half and half were gone. When we asked another employee if he would replenish the coffee and creamer, he acted as if we were asking for a million dollars.

Nothing unexpected
We might have been given more information regarding breakfast when we checked in. Information in the room said breakfast was grab and go and had to be ordered through your mobile phone by 10. So we went out to breakfast and returned to the hotel to find fruit, cereal, yogurt, bagels, etc that we could have had. Room was typical, nothing out of the ordinary, except for the ugliest drapes ever. Room seemed clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower was terrific. It was very quiet.

We were underwhelmed by our stay. First off we did not notice anyone doing extra cleaning of the common areas. Obviously we weren’t in the common areas all day long but there was not even a scent of cleaner like we have seen in other hotel stays during the pandemic. Also the breakfast situation was very confusing. There were signs up talking about a grab n go breakfast and to order online the night before. So our first night there I tried and it said the google form was down. So I went to the front desk and was told there was a buffet the next morning, and there was. There was no mention of it only being on the weekends. So Monday morning came and I went down to get my kids their breakfast and nothing was out. When I asked about it I was told the buffet was just available on the weekends. Communication is the key to happy customers and we definitely left there unhappy. Live and learn I guess.

The bagels were a little tough, as well as the omelets.
( I know you can put a wedge of apple, in cookies, to soften them up.)

Overpowering deodorizer can’t mask the mildew
The strong odor of chemical deodorizer failed in its attempts to mask the mildewed carpet under the vanity. In addition, this Fairfield has those mattresses that make ribs and back painful. Besides a friendly front desk staff, this is not your father’s Marriott.

I reserved a King bed room and paid the appropriate rate. I get there and am told there are no King rooms left, I instead get two twin beds even though I reserved a King bed room. This is fine except I was still charged the original rate for a King bed room which I didn’t receive. This is unacceptable and is probably the fault of both Expedia and the hotel itself. I should be refunded the difference

Nice hotel … although kinda hard to find since it is beside the Food Lion and behind Applebees. Also, our room wasn't ready at 5pm, so went to dinner and came back around 6:30pm. Also convenient was the laundry for guests. I had a load of clothes that needed washing, so perfect! Their breakfast in the morning was very good too.

The hotel lobby was undergoing renovation and it was disheveled and the elevator wasn’t working. The room was nice and clean and staff was friendly.
