Not clean
The hotel was not very clean. The floor didn't look like it was vacuumed and I found hair in the shower before I even used it. The bedsheets were fine. We didn't stay in the hotel long as we only were there one night to attend a family funeral.

The reason we gave the property service a four star is that they no longer have the shuttle to take you to specific places. They one go to the mall and the metro. We have always gone and after 7-10 hrs. Of driving they would shuttle us to our favorite resturant and come and pick us up.

was only disappointed with the fact that the bar/restaurant they advertise doesn't exist. other than that it's a great property. there is dozens of walkable bar/restaurant options in the neighborhood. pool was nice. breakfast was better than most.

Five Stars because of the patience and service of the staff i dealt with even though the shuttle was smelly like public restroom and discovered that someone actually peed on seat and nobody bothered to have it washed or cleaned.

Poor customer service

We'll Stay Again
The hotel was fairly modern looking. It appeared that it had been recently updated. The room was clean and relatively efficient. The beds and pillows were comfortable. I wish I understood the ventilation systems in bathrooms these days. There was no fan. But, not a problem. No lingering odors and condensation cleared away from the mirror in about 1 minute.
We had little need to interact with staff. Check in and check out were easy. The staff was friendly enough.
Breakfast was about what one would expect at this price range. They do have a pancake maker, hot eggs, biscuits, bacon one day, sausage the next, potatoes, toast, cereal, a selection of juices etc.
We have family in a assisted living facility near by. So we will probably be staying here in the future.

The only reason it's not 5 stars is they put me on a floor where construction and painting were being done in the rooms 2 doors down from mine.
I decided not to make an issue of it since my stay wasn't going to be long and the $ was non-refundable.
Otherwise, everything and everyone were very courteous and professional.

The receptionist kept saying our cards for the deposit was declined even though they weren’t. I made us try 4 different cards that I knew were all good. He kept saying it was our problem and then finally the same card that we originally tried worked. Also there was a very loud drilling at 8 the morning and the cleaning staff was yelling in the hallway.

The breakfast staff was amazing! I've never seen such hard workers--every table was wiped up as soon as it was vacated. It may sound trivial, but I hate having to eat on top of someone else's mess.

The check in was fine except I ask for towels first night and on the day I left the housekeeper knocked on the door I told her I was checking out at 11am I had already called to the the front desk to ask her for full set of bath towels washcloths and hand towels. All she gave me was one large towel and no wash cloths or hand towel she told me she did not have any. There was some water on the bathroom floor possible coming from the toilet. Other than that small thing I would definitely stay again. The hotel is older but it was comfortable please fix the ice machine on the 8th floor

The bed frame is made of metal and was loosing screws, We couldn't sleep the first night, they do exchange us to next room next day but they don't do nothing, for the inconvenience.
We deserved discount.

We had a WONDERFUL experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. And would choose it again if we ever come back to Springfield!!!!
Our only complaint was that we felt like the female life guard at the pool was dressed VERY inappropriately for a family hotel. She was wearing a 2 piece bathing suit …and the bottoms were THONGS…just a thin piece of fabric in the front and in the crack of her back side.
Not many people were at the pool but the ones who were there had children. We were there with our 13 year old grandson and were very embarrassed! I voiced my opinion to the gentleman at the front desk when we checked out.

Not worth the money you pay
The area was full of amenities and the location was conviennent. Upon arriving in the room I found a used towel on the back of the bathroom door and the wallpaper peeling in places. When taking a shower I noticed many hairs on the ceiling?!?! Every picture and lampshade was lopsided as if there had been a party or earthquake. The soundproofing from anything outside the room is terrible (I’ve stayed in airport flight paths quieter!). The front desk rep was friendly and so was maintenance (I saw them roaming the halls). Housekeeping was obnoxiously loud outside our room in the morning. Sadly we were put just across from the elevators so noise from there was terrible too. I might have paid closer to 100 for the condition. It’s run down and needs more attention to detail. Thankfully we only stayed one night.

We stopped here on our way home to Georgia from Philadelphia. For one night, the place was perfect. Free breakfast and parking. Affordable rate. Convenient to get back on I-95. The room was clean and updated. It’s just how I’d draw it up.

Value has gone down
Stay was okay, price was very high at $329 per night. I've paid half that at this hotel in the past. The door to my room would only open halfway due to a bulge in the floor - fire escape hazard. Also, there's an older lady with a cane or walker that sits at the entry to the food area every morning and says hello. She's friendly, but it's a bit creepy. She doesn't wear the hotel shirt, so I don't think she's an employee. Does she live there? Is she someone's mother on the staff? Odd.

The room and bathroom were clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfasts were good with many options. The halls and elevator was a little dirty and musty smelling.
We could hear the floor above us walking around. TV guide and remote were not helpful.

We were not notified prior to check in about the hotel being under renovation. Noise all day long. Also one of the two elevators was not working so we often had long waits. Would not go back there.

Rooms were outdated. Desk chair was ripped, wood in bathroom & table was chipped, stuffy smell upon entering the room…stuffy. But bed was comfortable. Only good for a quick overnight stay.

We only stayed one night while travelling home.
The hotel was conveniently located near the i95 and the area had a lot of shopping and dining options.
The room itself was clean and newly renovated.
Although we left before breakfast was served we were still able to get coffee for the road and a staff member gave us muffins to take with us.

Spent two nights here for a trip to DC. Great location, room was okay, nothing fancy, but was well kept. Buffet surprisingly good for a hotel buffet. Parking easy. Would definitely stay again!

This hotel was in a good area, plenty to choose from when it comes to getting food and shopping. They’re currently working on remolding the hotel, so there was noise to listen to in the morning around 9am. That would be my only issue if I had to find something wrong.

Good hotel - Value for Money
My recent stay at Holiday Inn Express was a truly pleasant experience. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating.
The hotel room itself was a true delight. It was impeccably clean, with crisp, fresh linens adorning the comfortable bed. The bathroom was spotless, with ample counter space and a powerful shower. The room also featured a spacious work desk, perfect for catching up on emails or getting some work done.

The hotel itself was nice. Staff was quick and accommodating. Renovations were being done and it seemed like our room was one of the newly renovated. Literally the only issues were that we had to turn off the water to the toilet because it kept running every half hour, there was a beeping every few minutes which reminded me of a smoke detector battery that needed to be changed, and our hot water was 0. Husband and I came to the hotel because our power was out and we needed hot showers the next morning, but there was absolutely no hot water. I called the front desk and he was no help, saying he had not received any other complaints.
Luckily, the wonderful breakfast made up for the shower issue. It was really an awesome breakfast layout, I was impressed. Overall, except for the noise and hot water issue, it’s a nice hotel for a quick stay.

There was a sign at the front desk indicating that there was constrction between 10am-5pm. At 7:50am the workers started sawing, nailing and who knows what else right above our room. I called down to the front desk and they said they were sorry and would take care of it. At 9am it was still going. Called again and asked them to come to my room and listen. Paid $150 a night only to be disrespected this way because they alleged that we were the only room this happened to. However, they were unable to stop them. Going down to complain in person now.

Last minute trip with my husband and 3 children. The pull out couch had blood stains on the sheet that was on the mattress. It was New Year’s Eve and there were people in the highway loud at 3 in the morning.
