The front desk personnel have been super friendly. The rooms (we had 3) are all clean and beds are comfy. Breakfast is good and staff keeps it full and the area clean.

The loaction was great, however they did not plow the snow out of their lot at all (in the 2 days we were there)...and there was a blizzard with 8-10 inches of snow. It was difficult to walk in and out, especially with luggage. There were deep pools of slush.

The seating area at breakfast was good. The only problem I found was the bench had worn on it and I sank down; I did move. I also noticed some tears on some additional seating. This would not hinder me from booking. The breakfast food was excellent & simply. We only stayed overnight after our flight. Staff was friendly and professional.

Stayed here after doing my research for reviews & ratings. Purpose of our visit was to attend my son’s military training graduation and was pleased with our stay! Employees at hotel are very kind. Kudos to David, who is a gentleman! Hotel is clean, quiet, and comfortable, which is always appreciated. Close to shopping mall, other name brand stores, and restaurants! Parking, indoor pool, and breakfast included. Breakfast bagels were particularly fresh. The wonderful employee at hotel (didn’t catch the lovely lady’s name) actually picks them up specially to ensure their guests are satisfied. They have other fresh breakfast items to choose from. Coffee, fresh water, and tea all day/night! Always a plus in my book!
Great Lakes naval base 15 mins away. 30-35 mins from Chicago O’Hare. Main city of Chicago reachable, just give yourself time due to construction in that area and avoid rush hour like in any city, but worth a visit! Will definitely return here if in Gurnee again.

Very convenient to everything. We were there for a boot camp graduation and with the Gurnee mall in our backyard it was a great way to pass the time & the graduate loved being able to just walking around the mall after 10 weeks!!!

It just looked bad from the outside. But the worst thing was the smoke smell in my room. It was my anniversary and I was looking forward to a little vacay. The room had an intense smoke odor, even after spraying a can of frebreeze and having a scented candle burning you could still smell smoke. Then the bed linen had an awful smell.

The location was perfect to go shopping at Gurnee Mills. It was also close enough to a variety of restaurants. The room itself was sufficient for our needs. The toilet was not put on properly so it actually moved when you sat on it and the seal around the bottom of the toilet was separated. The shower was fine and there was plenty of hot water. As I said, it was sufficient for what we needed (a single night). The price I thought was a little high but considering the closeness to Gurnee Mills, I was fine paying that price.

Overall the stay was nice and the room was clean.
The biggest problem was the tub which was extremely slippery. It really needs some texture or a bath mat of some sort.
The bed was very comfortable and I liked having a couch and chair in the room.

You can find better!
Spend your money wisely. There are so many other hotels in the area. A bug in the bathroom, air conditioner dripping water all over the carpet, leaving a mildew smell, and cleanliness/sanitary issues that I won’t even speak of. It’s not worth even half of the price.

This stay was good.
The hotel staff here were great, the room was clean, ane the shower has good water pressure. The one issue we had was the floor tile in the bathroom was loose.

The elevator broke during our stay and we had to haul luggage up and down to the 3rd floor. The only sweeteners available with the coffee is sugar and sweet and low. Other options like equal and stevia should be offered.

Without contacting us they cancelled our reservation so upon arrival they had to rebook it. They lowered the price for the inconvenience but it was still annoying. Everything else was basic

If you stay longer than one night, you have to ask to have your room made up and you have to give them one day notice. Lobby is in great condition but the room was a little run down. Decent breakfast and front desk staff was great.

Home away from home
Front desk staff was very friendly and attentive. They had ideas, offered plates and stuff for pizza, they offered anything they could to help rather than just answering questions. This was an amazing 1st impression and i felt they actually cared for their guests rather than just having a job. Room was very clean and in working order. Spacious rooms. Pool area was smaller, but very well kept up, kids loved it. 2.5-4ft deep. Breakfast was good, waffles are pre-made and ready for toaster, breakfast attendant was very friendly as well and on top of keeping everything perfect. Very accommodating service. Everyone in hotel from staff to guests was super kind, very "home away from home" vibe. Fresh lemon water available and coffeemate pump creamer for coffee.
Across the street from the mall, which was perfect for our stay!!
Only noted drawbacks, but didnt effect stay, just fyi:
- no freezer portion in mini fridge
- no hot tub by pool area
- all amenities on 1st floor (ice, vending etc)

I highly recommend staying here!
This hotel had a very friendly front desk employee on Saturday who checked us in and they send you a text so if you need anything you can just text them back. The breakfast was good too and the employee working in the breakfast area on Sunday was also very friendly and was working hard to keep the items stocked and the counters wiped off. Our room was nice and modern looking. We really appreciated the pillows they had that kept their shape rather than flattening into nothing.

We were new to the area and decided to stay here based on reviews. The lady at the front desk, Kitty, was a delight and made us feel welcomed. The room was nice and quiet. They do have a nice continental breakfast as well. Would recommended this hotel rather than others nearby.

The staff has consistently exceeded my expectations and is really fantastic. The breakfast is delicious and always well stocked. The location is great, especially because it's near our family but also because it's across the street from Gurnee Mills mall. It's probably the fifth or sixth time we've stayed at the property.
