The front desk staff were terrible. Treated us like dirt and would not help us in any way. We needed a receipt they said they do not give them asked to have our stay put on our rewards was told no. The housekeeping would not make the bed because we had one blanket of our own on it which I sleep under. This was the worst experience we have had and as we are in the area for business every 4-6 weeks we will NOT be using this hotel again

Great choice for good sleeping and a warm breakfas
Everything was wonderful. Loved the room darkening blind. A bit annoyed by bathroom fan on a sensor. Why is this needed? Breakfast was delicious. The sausage links were watery though and stained my shirt when the greasy juice squirted out. This was a 1st for sausage. Area is nice and easy to find.

I have traveled to Alaska, Boston, and Memphis this year. The best motel I have stayed in this year by far, was the Holiday Express in Show Low while visiting family over Christmas. Every staff was friendly, helpful and engaging. Christmas morning a sweet lady made biscuits and gravy, bacon and eggs for our breakfast. Susan made sure our beds were made and towels were fresh every day while we were gone. Nice lobby, convenance center in lobby had a variety of microwave stuff and snacks as well as a few OTC medicines.

Highly recommend!
Nice hotel, comfy bed, microwave, Keurig coffee pot, good size fridge, very clean room/bathroom, great hot breakfast included, indoor pool/spa, workout room, 42” TV is nice too. Staff is pleasant and helpful.

The water pressure in the shower was extremely weak. Its was hard to rinse soap off.
The room was adequate. However, I had two rooms. And your staff put us on two different floors and in two different buildings. I have never had to ask for adjacent rooms. It is pretty much universally understood that when a family rents two rooms that they should be adjacent or at least in the same general area. Mine was not a last minute reservation. This was not acceptable and your staff did nothing to address my concerns. They just said you were sold out. Well you were NOT sold out when i booked the rooms. Very disappointing.

The location was very convenient, the property and landscaping were very attractive, and the whole place was clean and nicely maintained. Everything was fairly new and updated. The pool and spa were nice, breakfast was good with lots of choices. Only had 3 complaints, and one is just an opinion because I am picky. First, something was wrong with the drain hookup that made the sink smell bad when the water was turned on. It smelled like sewage. The water itself smelled clean, and the sink smelled fine when the water was off. 2-It was really noisy on the highway side where our room was, due to the traffic light being so close by. 3-My silly gripe: a note for all the interior designers who think that clashing designs of different colors and lines that just don’t work together are good ideas in a place that is supposed to make a person relax. Setting bright school bus yellow next to intense teal with maze-like shapes that lead nowhere and stripes that never align is enough to make anyone insane. Then add in all the other colors I’m not mentioning and the other shapes that make a person cross-eyed… eek! Maybe the next decor fad can steer away from that nonsense and soothe us instead of trying to give us bad dreams. But…. I would stay again.

Maliki and Brandon checked us in they were super, they were great to chat with provided upbeat information about the pool and rooms, the hotel breakfast was very good and we enjoyed our stay! 3 rooms 1 night 2 rooms the next night!

Checkin was at 3pm our room wasn’t ready till 3:45 pm. Our room key had to be reprogrammed every day which was frustrating since I was staying with just my daughter and myself, I asked for a discount at the end of our stay and was told no because I made my reservations through Expedia. Will not stay there again.

The only things we didn’t like were the bed wasn’t as comfortable as we like, the pillows were way to soft and my husband wore his white socks while in the room and they were really dirty after short walk to the bathroom. The carpets needed to be cleaned. Everything else was exceptional.

Nice breakfast area, but could have had more food choices. The hair dryer's buttons were arranged in a way that just holding the handle made you accidently toggle the buttons. I was drying on high and it switched to cool. Then it switched from low to high power.

I would stay there again.
Overall the stay was pretty good. The morning breakfast was very good.
My small issues were, first the walls are very thin, heard people all around us and I am sure they could hear our TV when it was on. The next thing was at checkout, the young lady working the front desk had no personality at all. This is the last opportunity to make the stay alright or great, mine was alright.
I must state that check in was wonderful very personable and helpful. Our room was very clean and inviting. Thank you for that.

The staff was wonderful and helpful- however the room we were assigned had a showerhead that even my 6’4” husband couldn’t reach and the water pressure was horrible so we couldn’t even wash our hair. The mattress was super old and uncomfortable and since the other part of the building was closed we could not move to a different room because they were all booked. We definitely will not stay here again.

VERY thin walls and ceilings!! My wife, 7-yr old daughter and I got very little sleep, if any, after the hotel decided to fill every room on our floor and the floor above us with a high school baseball team visiting from another town. It felt like we were in a dorm all night, with the room upstairs having a battle royal. We tried calling the front desk from our room AND from our cell phones but each time it rang busy for hours. We never got a hold of anybody and I didn’t feel like changing clothes to go complain about noise. Poor decision by the front desk by putting families and rowdy teenagers in the same wing of the hotel, especially since there are two separate buildings. Maybe put families in one building and have the other building designated for Animal House? Indoor pool/spa and breakfast was nice, but staying here left a very bad taste in my mouth. Very disappointing stay.

While the bar service was good our shower barely trickled and we were awaken very loudly at 4:30 am with a TV or radio blasting at full volume from the room next door. I called down to the front desk and was told there was no one staying in either room next to us but that they would look into it. (Clearly someone had set the alarm a previous night and it was still set.) The room was also quite warm which seems fine in the winter but we had to run the A/C at night as the temp never fell below 74 on its own. I stay at Holiday Inn pretty religiously so this was definitely disappointing.

The front desk was friendly, quick and easy check in and explained breakfast hours and what was closed. The food was excellent and housekeeping did a great job. The room and hotel were clean. At check out, was asked by a staff member how our stay was and felt welcomed. I will definitely come back to stay at this hotel the next time we're in Show Low.

Great experience. Check in was fast. We got a late check out of noon. The pool/jacuzzi and Gym are open 24 hours a day. Breakfast was hot and had various choices. The bed was very comfortable. It was as good as the Hampton that we paid $60 more for last month.

My 2 elderly parents and I stayed one night. Only 2 two towels, one hand towel. One coffee pod. My parents have dementia and it was not convenient for me to run get more items that should have been in the room.

Not up to Holiday Inn Express standards. The tv didn’t work and the beds weren’t comfortable. The walls were very thin as we could hear people running upstairs throughout the night as if the ceiling may collapse. The coffee must have been left over the next morning as it was cold and as thick as molasses. Very disappointing as we have had no problems with this chain in the past.

Don't plan your stay based on using the fireplace!
The hotel was very clean, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was routine, and grounds kept beautifully. However, I could not give top rating for the following reasons: I chose a room with a fireplace but could not use it because they are not available for use until November. This should be noted in the room description. Also, the door entrance from the parking area was broken and should have been immediately fixed. We had to go around to another entrance which was out of the way and a bit inconvenient with the rainy weather.

The property was fine. I needed a recliner to sleep in as I have a fractured neck and put the request into the Expedia booking. That information was NOT transmitted to this property. I called ahead and upon arrival, the staff made an accommodation for a room with a chair and foot stool which was not a satisfactory solution - but they did their best. Got 2-3 hours of sleep total over 2 nights. Saw the reservation record without my comments. Not the property's fault! Expedia should transfer special requests.

The shower was extremely small and gave you no room, there were holes in the floor by the bed that had been covered by the carpet but you could feel them when you stepped on them. The room was way too small for the price we paid and the staff were not knowledgeable.

Overall this hotel was pretty good to stay at, we didn’t make it down to the inside pool area so can’t really say much about how that amenity was but the room itself was pretty clean and bed was pretty comfy. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good, lots of different options which was nice. Overall we will definitely be staying there again whenever we are up that way.
