Amazing value!
Room was clean and comfy. (The beds were perfect!) My kids loved the size of the room. Breakfast was great! There was a pancake machine, biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, bagels/pastries, and more. Can’t recommend this place more!!

I have before paid 3 times the price I paid for this room for a room that wasn't nearly as spacious at a facility that lacked some of the features that this Wingate property in Waynesboro offered. The very clean room was incredibly furnished, with a sitting area next to the extremely comfortable bed. The shower head produced a massaging flow of water that I enjoyed. And the free breakfast was abundant with selections: cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, pancakes, biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, juice, pastries. I didn't use the pool, but it looked very clean, and I observed a man attending it every morning when I dined. I also noted a sign that indicated the hot tub has a lift for wheelchair access. I haven't even seen this in much more expensive facilities. The fitness center was a little lacking. No weights, and I couldn't get the treadmill to work, but the elliptical worked fine.The location was wonderful. Very convenient to the funeral service I was attending, and even more convenient to a shopping mall, which I appreciated during my down time. In short, I found this hotel and its facilities amazing, given the price I paid ($70). So much so that I have to believe the few negative reviews I read were written by people hired to do so by competitors.

It was clean and guest services were great when we checked in. The breakfast left a lot to be desired, out of many things and fruit was old. The pancake maker was broken. Facility wise ice machine was down and hot tub was out of order. In the pool area ceiling was damaged and had water bubbles (caught between the paint and ceiling) it was leaking on the people who were not trying to get wet.

I liked the beds they were comfy. I also thought the pool was colder than last time i had been there. The hot tub wasnt working this time. I liked the breakfast it was good. I will stay there afain sometime.

We were very disappointed the hot tub wasn’t working. Had to ask for soap, toilet paper and tissues. The staff was very friendly, located right off 64. Many good dining choices. Found a hidden gem in Wild Man Dans.

It was an amazing stay!! I loved the dark shades so we could sleep in. The spacious room was a nice treat! I loved the super clean bathroom with Dove toiletries. I also loved the comfortable bed and variety of pillows. My daughter loved the pool. I wish the hot tub was working but it’s fine. Breakfast was great service and nice variety of food items.

Stayed one night just to rest during our travel. Loved the 24 hour pool. Breakfast was a nice selection of hot and cold food…and stocked well. Our room was one of the recently renovated…nice update. We arrived for check in about 8:30 pm. And waited for the front deck clerk….she was out dealing with another guest…was just surprised there were not two clerk still on. Especially when we saw how full the lot was in the am.
The hotel was easy on and off the interstate. I would recommend this place for anyone who needs a good night rest….a place for the kids to unwind….and a good breakfast.

The over all hotel room was decent. Breakfast was good. Beds were nice. The bathroom was disgusting. It was not cleaned between guests. I own a cleaning business and can say for a fact its been atleast 2 weeks since that bathroom was cleaned. The toilet was filthy, their was gunk in the sink and there was gunk on the shower walls. The base of the toilet wqs disgusting and their was black hair on and around the toilet. Myself and kids are blonde and we only stayed 1 night. We inquired about the pool and hot tub an hour before we arrived and were told everything was working and functional. We got there, got settled and found out infact the hot tub is broken and was freezing cold.

Although this is definitely a three-star hotel, the service was absolutely outstanding. Every front desk attendant was kind and friendly, more so than any other hotel i’ve ever been to. I would definitely return!

Very nice stay
Very clean with pleasant decor and spacious rooms. The breakfast was good. They had an indoor pool with a hot tub which did not use but it looked nice. Staff was very nice.

I found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and odor free. Stayed 3 days. Breakfast was good, scrambled eggs, sausage & biscuits and grave. Had fresh fruit and cereal also.

Property was in great location; easy to find and near plenty of food options, either restaurants or groceries. Breakfast was not 'hot' but rather all packaged items; didn't even bother with it. Everything was clean & tidy, including our room. Needed to sleep 5, so booked room with 2 queen beds pullout couch. Our room was enormous; loved that aspect but then the beds were the tiniest 'queen' beds ever...I'd say they were full-sized, not queen. No one is ever pleased to get LESS than what is described in a hotel stay that you book/pay for....and the main reason for booking anywhere is a place to get a good night of sleep. We did not, as result of the bed size.

Our room had ketchup or something splattered on the door of the bathroom and on some of the wash cloths. When we pulled out the sofa sleeper, there were cigar wrappers in it.

Michael helped us in so many ways. He told us where to park we would be where we could feel safe how to get into our entrance. He was very hands-on. He helped us one though we couldn’t get the card reader to work on the washer very outgoing, very great person went above and beyond to help his guests.

We absolutely loved our stay. Staff was great, very clean, smelled good, really comfortable beds and air was great. Bathrooms are big and shower was one of the best ever. Great water pressure, hot water and beautiful glass doors.
The breakfast was open until 10:00am and was well stocked and even included fresh homemade pancakes.
Parking and check in was easy.
The hotel is close to many great restaurants and super markets. Dirrect off of the interstate but very quiet.
I'm not big on giving reviews but this place definitely deserves one. Good job!!
Only thing negative I have to say is the main lobby could use a make over (paint, cracks and water leak) but this is a very small thing compared to the big picture of the quality of this hotel.

The location was great as to shopping and dining. Easy highway access and friendly staff. Hotel had workers touching up jobs or touch ups ,while we were there. Also this is the only hotel that we have stayed in that had a pool open 24 hours. Awesome !!!!.

It was all good. Would definitely stay here again. Warm, friendly welcome. Comfortable beds with fresh crisp linens. Breakfast was the best! A big plus - just minutes away from the entrance to Shenandoah State Park. If you like Oriental Food, dine at Silk Road across the road. Deelish food and great service. Waitress was the best.

A nice stay
An older hotel that appears to be in the process of being refreshed and updated. Our room ( 316) had be updated. There is a large indoor pool off the lobby that looked to be in well maintained. We had a nice self served breakfast with eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, french toast.
The staff was helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.

We had a really good stay. Customer service was excellent upon check in. The room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was OK.
Only negative.. you could hear everything in the hallway (people coughing, walking and doors slamming). It was like it was coming from your doorway.
Otherwise a really good stay.

MOTORCYCLISTS TAKE NOTE: very accommodating!
When I arrived to check in the front desk clerk noticed I was a rider & offered me 1st floor room near a side entrance that would allow me to get to my bike quickly and easily if needed, and allow me to park directly in front of my room. I happily accepted.
She did let me know they were doing some improvements and renovations on the 1st floor so that bothered me, I could be moved. I wasn't disturbed by what the workers were doing and was close to two exits.
The next morning I was wiping the grime and bugs off the bike when one of the cleaning staff, Cassie, noticed me and asked if I'd like a couple of their junk towels to use. These are towels they can't use for guests anymore and typically get turned into rags. I gladly accepted them
and it made cleaning the bike that much easier.
Another bonus is that their pool and hot tub facility is indoors and open 24 hours. I was able to relax a bit, go have dinner (Mexican restaurant right across the street), come back to the room and get some follow up work done (this was a business/personal trip), and then go for a soak in the hot tub without having to worry about being asked to leave the area at 10pm or 11pm like other hotels do.
*as a side note, if you enjoy Mexican food, Plaza Antigua, across the street is very good and literally a 1-minute walk.
The hotel is updating its decor and once completed, I would say the hotel is a 3.25-3.5 star facility and the staff are definitely A .

This is the old Holiday Inn Express where we have stayed before. It was run down but now they are renovating it. The pool area is completed and was pretty nice. Room was good and bathroom renovated but they didn't use mold proof caulk in the shower?? I'd stay here again based on value for price, convenient to restaurants and highway.

I didn't like the first room they put us in as the occupants before us had been smoking in the room.As soon as we opened the door to go in the smoke smell almost knocked you down. Went to the front desk and Sandra was able to get us into another room that didn't reek of smoke , thank you Sandra. other than that our overall stay was great.

Great place and great value, very kid friendly
We were traveling as a family up 81 North and needed a place for the kids to rest and have some fun. We were very pleased with this stay. First off, Sandra checked us in and was so welcoming. She went out of her way to help us with everything. The room was very comfortable and clean. This room was great for people who have little kids as there was not only beds and a couch, but also a bench that can be used at the table for the kids to eat. The pool and hot tub were very clean and were a great place for the kids to let out some energy. Breakfast is free with your room and had a lot of options. The staff overall was excellent. They were both friendly and helpful. I don't remember a time where we walked by a staff member without them saying hello. There are many near by restaurants as well. We travel to the south a lot and usually try to break up our return trip. We would absolutely stay here again.

The first night we moved rooms because there were ants on our side table and then in our bed. The second night when we returned to our toom, the refrigerator was open with towel on the bottom, and the floor was wet. We had also left a creamer in the refrigerator.

I didnt like anything, qasnt there long enough, your phone people mase the reservation not me, and messedbit up BAD. AND instead if fixing, you blamed me because you messed up w the owners as well. So you still owe ne 100 and a ton of time, nearly killed my animal frustration and worst individual experience ive had in 20 yrs

It was a typical sort of run down hotel. The worst part is paying for this hotel specifically because it had a pool and hot tub...but they haven't been working since August of last year. Totally disappointed. Will stay at the best western plus next time. Cheaper with similar location and amenities

Weekend In the Mountains
This was a great place to stay right off Interstate 64. The staff was very friendly from check in to breakfast to check out. Located near lots of food options and also not far from many breweries, wineries and cideries. Our room had lots of room to relax since the king room included a couch and a desk. Will definitely stay again!
