The property was very nice and clean. Staff was very polite as well. Offered a hot breakfast bar. Only dislike was eoom next to ice machine and being used at 3:45am non stop. Also, it sounded like a truck(s) backing up at 5:45am and stuff being loaded. So we are sleep deprived today.

Not bad but it could be better
The room was comfortable. There was a microwave oven and a refrigerator. The desk and chair were good. TV signal, channels, and WiFi were very good. The sink was very low and only a trickle of water came from the faucet. The shower and toilet were OK. The free breakfast was also OK. The room was only cleaned upon request. Our return flight was very early, so we asked the front desk to wake us up at 5:30 am. They did not.

Good one night stay
Room is clean and looks recently renovated. The layout of the room is a bit odd though; the sink is right next to the entry and offers no privacy. Perhaps there should be a curtain to separate the sink area from the beds, so the light doesn't bother someone sleeping.

A MASSIVE waste of my money and time
When I walked in, the temperature in the lobby was very hot, and there was an odor in the air. The two women that were working at the front were not wearing name tags or any identification that would identify them as staff. Both women were dressed very casually, with the woman who assisted me showing the upper part of her neck with the large tattoo. The woman who helped me also seemed annoyed that I was checking in, as if I were bothering her. I ended up walking out of the hotel after a few hours and decided to stay with friends, as I had already wasted my money at that location.
When I was walking out, there was chaos, with more than two other guests checking in. I was happy that I left.

Late night hall noise & no early morning hot water
Front desk allowed folks to gather in the first floor area hall not far from the front desk - group was lound and last over an hour (10pm to 11pm). They were heard the full length of the hall.
Saturday at 5 AM there was no hot water to shower or shave - was checking out for an early flight

Convenient location and ample parking available. Staff from check in to all other staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. My check in was effortless and pleasant. The property in general and my hotel room was clean and comfortable.

Back parking lot had no lights working. When I reported to them they said sorry. Didn’t even try to fix so the next night still pitch black. No half and half for coffee at breakfast. The staff was nice except they did nothing to remedy when there was a problem. Not up to Marriott’s standards.

I have not gotten any sleep because of other people on the same floor going in and out of the rooms constantly all night, yelling, whistling, and making noise.

The checking was very inconsistent. They check in us into a room only to find the room key is not working. We are reassigned a new room where AC is smelling burnt and ashes. We are re assigned to previous room.

Room not ready past check-in time
We were extremely disappointed that we checked in online and requested a 3pm checkin time since that was the earliest checkin time. We arrived at 4:30om and our room still was not available.

This was my third stay at the Fairfield Inn in Herndon, VA. The hotel is very clean, the beds comfortable and the quiet atmosphere appreciated. The breakfast is excellent. The staff are generally courteous.

The hotel was well run, with excellent front desk staff. the room was well appointed and very clean. the only oddity was the total lack off USB ports for charging devices, a bit odd these days. They also offer a nice complimentary breakfast, while for dining out there are numerous choices nearby.

Met expectations
Overall, the stay was fine. I was disappointed there wasn’t a laundry facility there. As well, there’s a lot of throw away garbage at the breakfast and not a lot of really healthy options to eat. But overall it was what I expected and I would stay there again.

Great stay.

Woken up every 30 minutes by A/C
Stayed in a Double Bed room. The hallways are very loud, not a lot of cushion to prevent noise. Additionally, the rooms are temperature set, you cannot keep the AC on - so it goes on and off every 30 min. Basically keeping you awake with the noise, as it triggers from the wall to the unit. There should be come concessions to allowing it to run. It would help with noise control. Parking is terrible, their vans take up spots and you can park next door with better access.

I booked a 1 bedroom king suite for my Mom and I. She was going to sleep on the bed and myself on the pull out sofa. When we checked in, we were given a king room with a sofa bed. This is not what i wanted. I was highly dissapointed. The only reason i stayed at this location was because it was a suite.. otherwise i would have got a regular double room at a much nicer hotel. Not happy AT ALL.
Further more, the room was not very functional at all. The sink being outside the bathroom is not ideal at all...but again, i was ok with it getting a suite..not okay. Very not pleased with this stay at all.

I rarely leave reviews but this place was CLEAN! No weird smells, no crazy dampens/humidity, my room was spotless and incredibly comfortable. I actually tried to find something dirty but couldn’t. On top of that, the staff was extremely friendly.

The staff was great, and the property seemed to be relatively new. However, the two rooms we stayed in (300 and 301) were EXTREMELY small. I believe they were not typical of all the rooms. If I were traveling alone, they'd be fine, but for two guests it was cramped. The worst surprise was to discover there was no shuttle from Washington Dulles Airport to the hotel. The 6.8-mile cab ride was $42!!! An Uber was $22 plus tip. If I had known the hotel no longer offered shuttle service, I would have factored the cost of the cab into the room rate and possibly stayed elsewhere.

Apparently there had been a major flooding issue and my room was right next to affected rooms with major industrial fans operating in the hallway all night which in addition to the noise caused the floor of my room to feel vibration.

Personal preference on layout: I would have preferred that the sink, mirror, outlet would have been inside the bathroom, rather than just outside it, and that the bathroom light switch was on bathroom’s inside wall. (less disruptive to the other person in the bedroom).

Overall the stay was fine. breakfast was good and plentiful, but our room had an overwhelming smell of cigarettes. After inquiring at desk there was no other rooms to switch to and their only solution was to give us air freshener. I had a horrible headache from the smell for our entire stay. Supposed to be a non smoking hotel, but i guess someone didn't get that memo.
