This is by far the worst place I’ve ever stayed. The most unfriendly and unprofessional looking staff with dirty clothes on the front desk, the front lobby with visible dirt everywhere, both the stairs and the elevator are dusty and unclean, the corridor to the room I stayed on the second floor is visibly dirty and smells like a place that has been closed for long, in the room dark stained old toilet, very loud not working air fan, etc. I will never recommend this place. It is simply a lie to even call it a Quality Inn.

Run down property with no safety precationary measures in place, no cameras in or outside the facility, rooms looked like they were broken into with scrape marks in the door frames, lack of water fountain, no hot breakfast, half-put effort into cleaning of the rooms with clear signs of water damage through the facility, side door claims to require a key for entrance which doesnt work as the door lock is damaged and doesnt auto-lock. Price for stay is definetly overpriced for what they offered. At least they do not have bedbugs so that is a plus, although I did notice an occasional ant crawling around in the room. No safebox available in rooms. As bad as the stay was it seemed to be the besy option for the time if you need/want to stay in this area and the Hilton (just next door) is all booked up.

Young adults, (presumably) not hotel guests, were hanging out in parking lot listening to hispanic music from car radios after dark. Security doors to outside, never actually locked, anybody could walk into the facility. Bathroom towels were very thin and both washcloths had stains on them even though they were neatly folded. The good part: the king-size bed was comfortable, the pillows were plentiful and very nicely made, the TV had a wide assortment of channels to watch.

The bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. The carpet in the hallways was dirty and worn. Wallpaper is coming off. Not sure about the cleanliness of the carpet in the room? The owner needs to invest in the property.

I arrived to a poorly lite entry as well as dirty floors. When I arrived at my room it was older and there were stains in the tub and surround. The parking lot was loud and there were a few cars playing loud music. I was shocked by the amount of water damage in the hotel.

Worst hotel in the country...
The worst hotel I have ever been in. Smelled of mold and mildew, the AC was horrible and smelled bad. The bathroom was very dirty. The hallways looked like water damage had occurred. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls. I would not keep my dog there, I went to another hotel rather than stay here.

Would not stay here again. Location wasn't bad, right on what seemed like the main strip in Martinsville and close to food options etc. From the outside it looks fine and expected things to be good from the view of the lobby and front desk. Once we checked in to the room it was 79 degrees although the AC was on full blast. Of course I wouldn't say it was blowing cold air. We were in town for a music festival and everything was sold out so what other option did I have? I guess I was stuck with what I got. Being exhausted from the festival I did manage to fall asleep in the heat after getting a shower. While in the shower I noticed black mold on the ceiling, that can't be healthy. I will say the bed was comfortable though the pillows were lumpy and I think it's time for new ones. I expected we might sleep pretty late being how exhausted we were from the festival and how late we got in. Actually didn't sleep much more than 4-1/2 hours, presumably because it was just getting hotter, the thermostat showed 80 degrees when we got up. Don't know how or why when it was in the 60's outside. Anyways I couldn't wait to get out and into my truck with some working AC. Between the heat in the room and the black mold on the bathroom ceiling, I can't recommend staying here. I can't believe it but I actually told myself I probably would've been better off at the Scottish Inn up the road.

Don’t stay here, water was Luke warm if that, fridge was not very called, place was
Dirty, that I cleaned it myself , so it was cleaner when We checked out that checking in, my husband slept in the car for most of the night ,due to something in the walls, or blowing thru the vent that made him cough each time he was their and the smell is something else, minus the front desk when you check in smells of bleach! Sleep in your car, before staying here!

Some of the doors didn’t work with the cards and I was told “oh yeah that one has to be reset, use the other one”. The other one did NOT require a key at all. That door was actually broken. It did NOT LOCK at all. The hall ways had black rolled up stuff for two days. It looked like pool noodles that had been broken up and left in the halls. There was white stuff in the hall for two days before anyone vacuumed it up. I’m not sure what that stuff was but it was A LOT of it all the way down the hall. The lobby was so HOT they had to leave the doors open and it was over 90 degrees each day. The lady said they don’t have air conditioning in the lobby. That’s awful working conditions. The 1st time in my life (I’m over 50) that I’ve been to a hotel and the lobby didn’t have air conditioning. I travel A LOT and I’ve never seen that. Check in time is 3, I got there about 6:30 and was told the room was not ready. I said WHAT it’s after 6:30. They lady did apologize and said oh I have, they just finished it. In simpler terms I will never stay at a Quality Inn again. I would rate them 1 star and would not recommend them to anyone!!! Next time I come to the area I’ll just have to pay the higher prices at another hotel.

Very good value.
Desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and room was clean and quiet. Stayed two nights, slept well. Good shower, didn't use the pool but it looked nice. Easy to find location. Good breakfast with lots of options. Egg, sausage, cheese biscuits; breakfast pizza bagels in frig. Waffles (chocolate and regular) cereals (hot and cold), yogurt, fruit, pastries, bagels, juice, coffee, and fixins. Eating area was clean and laundry was easily accessible, took quarters. We left a box in room with my husband's rx, and they are mailing it to us. Thank you to the housecleaning staff, desk clerk, and manager.

I didn't like anything about this hotel. First room had a TV that didn't work. 2nd room I couldn't get into, as if someone was already in it and it was locked from the inside. 3rd room had Cig burns in the bedding. I photographed about a 5" long millipede walking through the room. It had a large patch of black mold growing in the corner that I didn't see until I was checking out because it was hidden behind a chair that I moved to make sure I didn't drop anything behind it. Overall condition of the hotel is as bad as the room. Back door didn't lock at night. back entryway is dark and dirty. Smells of old smoldering cig butts because they have a butt receptacle under the overhang of the rear entry way. I could go on, but I feel you get the point. I have been to their website and looked at the reviews. Most of the reply's from the company are sorry we are currently going through renovations. I call BS. on that blanket statement. This Hotel needs to be demolished, the land sanitized, and build a new facility worth staying at. .

I booked this place for family that came in for graduation. There were Bed bugs in some of the rooms luckily they didn't have them but there were nasty socks stuffed in the chair in the room and just dirty floors and so on will not stay there again

Just in general this was a pretty gross area. There’s were many other options to stay except Hilton which was $125 more a night. Next time I’ll be paying the higher rate to stay at Hilton though. My room was recently remolded but still dingy and not really to standard. My towels were clean but had holes. the tub has mold in the grout and selling around the edges. It was just kinda yuck. The pillows were clumpy. The blanket thin. The mattress sagged in the middle. I was only there to sleep so I made it work. Be mindful that you’ll be staying with everyone else that is saving the extra $125 a night by not staying at Hilton too so you’ll want to just plan to be in your room before dark. The front parking lot was well lit but not the back.

Not again!
Everything was dirty, room door had been jimmed open at a previous time, hot water did not work at bath sink, waffle iron had no timer, back door key never worked, breakfast was not inviting, etc. Must I go on!

First of all the room was booked as a double room double bed occupancy, double rooms do not exist in this hotel as I found out when I checked in. I paid a premium for this accommodation. The hotel itself was dilapidated rundown and should be condemned. I plan on posting some of the photos on my social media so I can let travelers know how bad the outside and interior of the building are.

Definitely wasn’t the worst place I saw in the area. Seems they are trying to improve the building. But our room had the worst smell. It was awful. The room itself was clean. Needed things like light bulbs and maybe a working phone to call front desk Bathroom was clean. It was just that odor. It was in everything. And I’m my clothes that I took in the room with me.

The property is in desperate need of renovation and a deep clean. Hallways and stairwells were super dirty. Our room had a very strong mildew odor and cigarette burns in the sheets. It’s better than other hotels I’ve stayed at in the area though.

Run!! Far away!!!
Oh my! Check in was ok the front desk lady was nice and greeted us. Let me tell you about the rest, we park walk in and not 1 but 3 rotten chicken bones by the door, mildew smell is out of this world, carpets haven’t been vacuumed in lord knows when. We get to our room and key fob takes a good 6 tries to work, finally got it. The bed is made nicely and is really comfortable only thing that’s decent. Yes, we stayed after a 5 hour drive and no other available hotels. The room smelled like stale cigarettes and mildew. There is trash under the bed, beside the couch & nothing had been wiped off so greasy finger prints all over. Half the lights work, you know the phones don’t work. The bathroom is absolutely horrible see pictures below.. instead of ranting about how they housekeeping and building is just skip this place it’s horrible. They are also running on Covid housekeeping.

The hotel was quiet and clean enough, but very worn out. The beds sagged, the wallpaper is peeling, and there were mildew stains in the bathroom. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The free "hot" breakfast was a joke, but probably due to Covid restrictions.

CHARGED TWICE - NO NOT BOOK HERE
Do not book with them. I was charged twice for the room.
It was paid through Hotels.com and when we did the check-in they asked for a credit card for deposit.
Next day for the my surprise, I was charged for the room again and not a deposit.
I have contacted them and they have been lying to us and to Hotels.com's agents in two occasions.
The first time saying that they didn't charge anything and second saying that they charged it because it had been a no show.
None of the responses made sense. First it was charged and second time , we did check in.
The reservation was paid through Hotels.com.
Do not book a room in this hotel.
The employees are trustful.

Just an ok place
This hotel was OK, it's a bit dated.
The staff over the weekend was accommodating so that made up for the older accomodations. It was funny to see a list at breakfast tell you what you were allowed to have. No one was there to see if you actually took an apple and an orange, just interesting that they would post something like that

My room was not cleaned. Paper on the floor. My pillows had stains. My hot water was not working in the morning and it was too late to do anything before I left. The room smells and the rooms have not been updated in years. Will not stay there again. You have been warned.

Noisy A/C and very noisy bathroom exhaust fan. TV reception was terrible at times that you could not watch TV. Bathroom floor tile grout was very dirty and bath walls had peeling wall paper. Time for renovations.

The front desk person was very kind and accommodating. The pull out sofa was only for one person, not two, like stated. Comforter had yellow stain and sheets had black stains. There were stains on the walls and the hall carpet was stained and filthy. My husband killed a termite in the bathroom.

On arrival,, check in was pleasant and quick. We went on to our room and found no toilet paper, toilet seat up and used, poop on side of toilet, mold on shower floor.. we simply did not used!
For 174$ a night you would think breakfast would be great! It was anything but, no one keeping it organized or stocked!! There was very little in selection. I could’ve stayed at the comfort in up the road for 99$ and prob got better results for my money. If your gonna charge those kinda rated you clean and cater to you guest better! I would not recommend staying here !

NEGATIVES: This is a non smoking property hence the reason I booked a stay as my daughter and myself have extreme allergies. We booked a king room, and given number 208 upstairs. Everything was fine for the first hour then we started smelling horrible cigarette, weed, and an unidentifiable smell. I called the front desk and was given the ‘this is a non smoking hotel, and we cannot do anything unless we know exactly what room the smoke is coming from...also that the cleaning supplies are locked up so they couldn’t clean’. Also I was asked if I could identify the locations of the smell and I said it was everywhere and we did not smoke so it should not be in our room but it was very heavily. Also since the hotel is no smoking 🚭 it should not be like this period. So they moved us to a double room (all that was available), same floor but room 227. Beds so uncomfortable compared to the king bed, and still the mixed smoke smells.... it was late and I was annoyed so we stayed... didn’t sleep, and checked out a day early. Hoping to get a refund for at least the day we didn’t stay, as I did get the AIG insurance. We checked in on Wednesday, the 14th of April and checked out the next morning at like 8 as soon as we packed everything as fast as possible. Still can smell ‘that’ weird smell on everything we took in the room. The walls must be really thin to be overwhelmed but the ‘smells’.POSITIVES: Very clean and well maintained to be an older property. Super friendly and inviting staff.

There was mold in the bathroom - even on the bathroom ceiling - that was never cleaned. Even though the rooms said "non-smoking" the hallways smelled of cigarettes and marijuana.

Absolutely disgusting!
The room was filthy dirty. I found trash behind the dresser. I was sticking out and you could see. They were pubic hairs all in the bathroom floor. There was black mold in the shower, shower walls, ceiling and floor. The room had a very weird funky odor to it. It was very damp feeling and smelling. I'm highly allergic to mold and have been congested since my stay.

Not too shabby-please address the carpet nails
Check-in was fast and easy with friendly staff. The lobby provided a good place to socialize with our small group in the evening. Room was ok except the carpet is coming apart right at the entrance of the bathroom door. The problem is when you exit the shower barefoot the carpet nails are dangerous and painful! I would stay here again but this issue should really be addressed.

Overall, the stay was fine. The room suited our needs, it was just a place to sleep while visiting family in the area.
At arrival, the checkin process took only 2 minutes, and I had my keys.
It’s obvious they are in the middle of a renovation, if that bothers you, you won’t like it.
There is a light musty/smoke smell in the main hallways.
The room itself was cleaned, you could smell the additional cleaning products in the room but it wasn’t over powering.
As for the bathroom, the shower head was new. There were a few rust spots around the tub, nothing ridiculous though.
The only “blah” encounter was an issue with the sink after I took a shower the first night.
Once I got out of the shower, I noticed the sink had filled 3/4 the way back up and was not going down. It finally went down but it took an honest hour, however it left a nasty looking mess in the sink. (The cleaning folks did a great job, sink was spotless the next day)
We made mention of the issues the following morning (it was 9pm when the issue occurred ) When I took a shower the following two nights, the sink issue did not reappear.
The beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean.
I would stay here again, the cost didn’t break the bank, and they took care of the only issue encountered.

Sleep in your car before you decide to stay here
I understand it is an older building but to have holes in the baseboards, carpet peeling from the walls, water pressure that can’t even get shampoo out of your hair, and no one to control anything including people openly doing drugs in the parking lot it is unacceptable

We have stayed here before and it was decent. This weekend was horrible! Floor unvacuumed, bed sheets smelled unclean, never emptied trash, no lightbulbs in lights, took towels but did not leave clean towels. Do not stay here!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel itself is in need of some repairs and updates. Our room was clean, bed comfortable and tv, lights and A/C all were in working order. The bathroom had been partially updated. The tub area was tiled and the sink area was nice but in between was wallpaper peeling off the wall. Would be a very nice hotel with a little TLC given to it. We would probably pay the extra $ to stay next door if in town again.
