I was very pleased. Tandra was very attentive and helped me, my sister, and elderly parents with breakfast. Tina was very helpful. Mark was great and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The set up for the soap, dispensers in the bathroom, or very difficult to use, especially if one has weakness in their hands. They are very hard and stiff. The faucet in the sink is not placed well, and when you open it, water goes all over the counter. People were most helpful. Breakfast was wonderful but the bathroom is not thought out well.

It’s located where I needed to be near a business that I’m checking out with my partners. Great reasonable price per night for what’s given plus free breakfast. Good selections and nothing complicated.
Friendly front staff that greets you as you walk-in and checking out!

The first room was 58° and the heater was broken. And the sink wouldn’t drain. They moved us to another room. The second room, the toilet didn’t work. The third room the TV didn’t work and it was missing a lampshade. And there was a Band-Aid over one of the electrical outlets. It was otherwise clean.

I have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express and thought they were fantastic, however this location was terrible. I would never stay here again.. Check in was fine, but the room had an odor, the door handle to the adjoining room (which we were not using) was missing the base (attached to the door) and was rusty, the bathroom mirror was cracked all around the edges, the coffee make was on a stand next to the bed and the noise from other rooms and the hall was awful. If this was my first time staying in a HIE I would never be back.

AC on BLAST cold night
I stay at Holiday Inn frequently when in Richmond late however this night the room was freezing the AC was on full Blast and unable to adjust. Please make it so they room temp can be adjusted.

The tv didn't work, the tub needs to be caulked, the bathroom floors looked dirty with the baseboards, and the water pressure in the shower was very low. It took quite a while to take a shower. The large hanging light shade in the corner had splatters of stains on it. The staff was nice and we've stayed there before. I hate it, but we don't plan to go back.

Avoid this dump
Our room had literal holes in the wall. Big holes where the wall was falling apart. The bathroom mirror was broken, caulking around the tub/shower was peeling away and dirty, the rack of shampoo/soap had brown staining on the bottles. This place was a total dump. I have stayed at other Holiday Inns and they are usually quite nice, but this place is far from that. And the smell of the room, and the hotel generally, was unpleasant. Unfortunately i had been driving all day and trying to find another hotel wasn't really an option at this hour, for our one night stay along our trip.
And to add to the above, I complained to the front desk and it was completely ignored. As if it was expected and acceptable.

My stay was horrible i waited 30 mins just to check in i didn’t get in to my room until after 12 and i was with a 2 yo by myself. The receptionist was having a “medical emergency” but i called the desk 8 times nobody came. I stayed there because I got married on Saturday and that hotel was 10 mins from my wedding location

Very comfortable stay
It was a comfortable stay. Our door lock kept malfunctioning and wouldn't respond to the key. The person on call at the desk came over each time and reset it with a smile. (3 time's the charm -it started working correctly on the 3rd day!) Very friendly. The room was clean. There was plenty of parking.

Was very dirty and moldy. The mold smell was so intense for my wife's allergy's that we had to ask for a different room. The carpet was so wet it moistened my socks... they did provide another room that was a bit better, but not great. Glad this was only for 1 night.

Very Short Stay
This hotel is old and not well-kept. The staff didn't know what was going on and were very unwilling to help. Ended up not staying, found another hotel just across town and booked rooms. We had a totally different experience.

Not a bad place to stay overall. Front desk was personable and friendly. My rooms carpet seemed to be freshly cleaned and still a little "soapy" because the residue caused my feet and shoes to be slippery. The bed was comfortable, and even though I was next to the elevator the room was quiet. Everything was in good repair.

Horrible stay!!
Horrible! Check in was a 3pm and we got there at 5pm and they had no one to clean rooms, so we couldn't check in after driving 2hrs to get there. The front desk couldn't even tell us when our room would be ready and we had 2 infants with us. Nothing offered for our troubles, not even an apology.

Check in was super easy - the gentleman at the front desk was extremely nice as well as the woman who checked us out. Room was clean and comfortable. Not sure what kind of pillows they have but they were AMAZING. The only downside was that breakfast was not great.

The carpet in the hallways and room were stained and dirty. Needs to be cleaned properly. The bathroom floor looks like it hadn’t been mopped in a long time. Toilet wasn’t properly cleaned.

We stayed Thursday to Sunday. Despite repeated requests for towels and trash removal, someone finally came on Saturday night and oblige. And this was only after receiving a call from someone in the hotel business. Room was not touched our entire stay. We were told they couldnt guarantee anything because they were too busy. The lady at the front desk when we arrived on Thursday afternoon is the same one whose response was they were too busy. Zero friendliness, zero help. I have been regularly staying in hotels for 30 years and I was completely shocked at her attitude. Hotel needs a thorough cleaning and a number of repairs. Fellow traveler in another room had broken tv, broken hairdryer, sticky carpet, dirty bathroom, broken ice machine. Nothing looked at or fixed during her entire stay. Unacceptable

I e machine was on a different floor from our room location, water pressure in sink & shower were low, had to wait around for someone to check me in and out. The person who checked us out seemed agitated like we disturbed her from what she was doing away from the desk and she was dressed with a WaWa tee shirt on- did she work for holiday inn or wawa ( poor appearance for hotel personnel).

Nasty Dirty
I said I needed quiet to do work. The first room 209 I was offered at $173. It was right behind the elevator. I did not go in, went back downstairs and got another. It was the last one she said. She gave me 519. The toilet is shown and hairs and debris behind the toilet and under the sink was bad. I went back down. Then I was given the connecting room. The dirty wash cloths were on the tub. The bugs in the window and a tissue in the floor. The card on the desk said call and the front desk would immediately handle room problems. Ha! I was told bugs in the window are seasonal and when they left at 2 pm the cleaning lady probably left the dirty clothes from washing the tub; that’s why they were dirty but dry. I was so very tired. I went back to the dirty toilet room. Shook out the sheets. Under the traffic noise ALL NIGHT I was so exhausted I slept.
No wonder virus spreads. The accommodations were not clean. I asked for cleaning materials so I could clean for myself. I was told housekeeping locked them up. It was a no refund. I woke to traffic noise. Got no work done.

The room outstanding and fantastic new look excellent. The room was cleaned and very nice lighting features. However situation: The bathroom exhaust fan very loud which in a small bathroom. Makes the feel seem cheap since the fan is so loud. 🙁

No water pressure in bathroom sink. Faucet is too close to wall and washing hands under the running water is hard. Toilet seat loose. Place has declined since my prior visits. Not likely to return when there is a Hampton inn next dooe

When we checked in nobody was at the front desk, once someone showed up, I wanted to pay in cash for the room. I was told they do not take cash at night and I could pay in the morning. After we checked in and got to the room, as soon as we got in the room the room just had a very “different” smell. Not in a good way. Room looked fine other then that, when we were getting ready and dressed to go out I was walking bare feet in the room and I had to immediately put on my shoes due to the carpet being super sticky and nasty. This morning as we checked out I tried to pay in cash and the lady told me they already ran my card and she couldn’t do anything about it. All in all I would give it 1.5 out of five stars. Bad experience and wouldn’t recommend

Bathroom needs completely redone. Tub cocking, sink picket to short, toilet to short and set is loose and cheap. Room was very good except for bathroom. Also spray head loose in wall.

Clerk at check-in wasn't the friendliest. When we reached our room the door was open and the response I received from the front desk clerk was, oh yea sometimes housekeeping forgets to close the room doors. That's a security problem.

Okay but needs work
This Hotel was okay when I check in the first night which was Wednesday staff was not so friendly. Room was some what clean but odor of cigarette smoke which this is a non smoking room and hotel I was in. I do feel that is hotel should do more cleaning and fixing up the hotel. Oh yes my toilet was lose so when I sat down the toilet moved with me. Lol I never even told them I was in room 506

The room was at 78 degrees. Inoperable air conditioning, DIRTY ac filter, and a clogged shower drain. Were moved to another room. And again, sub par ac, would not get below 74 degrees, and broken shower rod. These rooms ALL need a remodel. Staff were EXCELLENT, but the rooms are NOT.

Everything was good in general. The only issues that i noticed was the smoke detector was unplugged, the toilet refilled off and on continuously and the ac unit had a rattle in it.

Save your money and points.
My experience with this stay was well below what I expect from a Holliday Inn. The room needed swept, the television didn't work and no attempt was made to fix it after it was reported. There was not enough coffee prepared in the morning so some went without. The breakfast sausage was similar to a hockey puck, only not a tasty.

The water pressure was very low, the showerhead look like it had a flexible tube because it moves back-and-forth, the shower curtain curtain close and every time you closed it slid back open, The shampoo and conditioner unit was broke. The whole carpet were sad shape and dirty

The first shift when we checked in a 3 was clueless i would tell her tv wasn't working she said there are no rooms available to move us into but she didnt know anything on how to fix the tv. The lady that was there on the sencond shift around 10 was a big help and very nice.

Our room was disappointing. The sheets were stained. We had to request new ones and put them on the bed ourselves. The conditioner and body wash canisters were empty. The front desk team member was extremely helpful in getting us replacement items, except for conditioner which they were out of.

Prior to arriving I was told I could check in early, which was incorrect because apparently they were full to capacity and rooms were being CLEANED. Ok, no problem. Upon arrival, the greeting was poor and one staff member made it clear that she was off duty while wearing a bedtime headscarf. We noticed almost immediately that areas of the room were not CLEAN, although pride in cleanliness was stamped all over the hotel. There was a storm and therefore the tv wasn’t working. We called at least 4x before someone came to fix the tv. Breakfast was by far the best part. We used the fitness room and I was glad to wipe down before I worked out because the elliptical was filthy. There was a pool, which I would not get in just after experiencing the room and fitness center. The pool was also being cleaned by a man who was smoking a cigarette… Overall I would say, I would check in at the Hampton in on my next stay, which is directly across the parking lot..

The staff are wonderful, but the building is clearly very old and in need of repair. For the price and the user rating, I was expecting better. There was rust on the door frames, and I found a bug in the sink. The toiletries hadn't been replaced, and the whole building was just shabby.

i’m a big fan of holiday inn express. this property was kinda janky though. worn, older, kinda dirty if you look too close, stained carpet, tiny bathroom. the door to the room looked like it had been kicked in, broken and the area around the lock set filled with auto body filler. not even sanded just slapped on. the nice mirror in the room was mounted at an angle, couldn’t straighten it so that’s sort of a metaphor for the place.

I liked the proximity of the hotel to many stores and restaurants. The hotel itself was a little rundown and on the dirty side. Stains on carpets. Lots of trash in the parking lot when we arrived.

The hotel did not meet my expectations. Although the beds were comfortable, and the sheets seemed clean, the bathroom was filthy! Bathtub was dirty, there was hair and dirt all over the floor, around sink. Very tiny and uncomfortable layout, paint peeling from the ceiling. I would not stay in this hotel again.
