The staff is friendly. April Wilson, the manager is excellent. The breakfast is good and the pool water is amazingly warm. The only "negative" is the bed height. The top of the bed is nearly 3' off the floor. Management has put a small step stool in the rooms for shorter individuals to get on the bed. My wife is about 5' and had to use the step stool.

Very clean. The heating system and ventilation are old. Very loud continuous vent fan in bathroom. Had to keep door closed all the time. When heat was on fan very loud woke up every time it engaged. Slept very little.

COMFORTABLE ROOM, Excellent Breakfast!
I ALWAYS stay at this BEST WESTERN PLUS when I travel from Augusta GA to Baltimore! Comfortable room, great price, and excellent breakfast are the attractions! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great location, newly renovated, don't let outside determine your choice! Comfortable, clean great hot breakfast. On busy road but a/c fan provides white noise. Enjoyable stay!

The room was nice and clean and well stocked. The breakfast was really good for a complementary breakfast. Not just pastries. The waffles were really amazing! Stayed on the first floor and it was pretty quiet. The only complaint is the noise that comes from surrounding rooms when they would turn on their showers. Also wish there had been an exhaust fan in bathroom. Other than that very pleased with stay.

This is a great place and nice room. A bit pricey, as all of them are getting, but the best we’ve had in awhile! Indoor pool was a bit cool, but bed and bath , along with large tv were spot on!

Overall, my stay was very good. The one minor complaint I have is that I was in a handicapped room. I am 6' tall, so the shower was a bit of a challenge. I asked to change rooms, but they were all booked.

Great place to stay for the night.
Great location for a traveler. Hotel was very clean and employees pleasant and helpful. Bed was so high a step stool was needed and provided. That was a first.

This is a great hotel. I had stayed when it was under renovation in 2021 and our room was super quiet and nice. this time the room was the same and the lobby and pool were open and very nice! it even got high marks from my wife. staff are excellent! if this were in a nicer setting I suppose it would cost a lot more, and in the end it doesn't really matter. breakfast was terrific too! and location is convenient to H'burg, highway and nearby mtns and trails. someone has an eye for detail at this hotel and it shows.

Hot water was perfect from the tap. Great room and the breakfast was as good as any . The OJ was actually not watered down and taste like store bought OJ. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Been on the road for two weeks and this was the best over night stay I have had

The staff was great and breakfast was good. Only problem was the overly high beds. For anyone of average height,or less they were ridiculously high and required a stool to get into. This is not only inconvenient but dangerous. For someone with a disability, it would be impossible. Won't stay here again unless the beds are lowered.

April the manager is tough and attentive. She makes sure everyone respects the rules and the other guests. The newly renovated beds are way too high. Step stools are available but seem risky to me in the dark when you are sleepy. Not good for shorter customers or children. The hot breakfasts here are wonderful if the waffle batter and coffee urns are full. Our coffeemaker did not work in the room and the coffee downstairs was out both times we went to the lobby. In all fairness, the place was booked solid and everyone wanted to eat and get coffee at the same time. The public spa is gone now and so are the room spas. The pool area evidently has no ventilation, so you cannot breathe in there well enough to enjoy a swim. If you like steam baths, don't drink coffee and are 6 feet tall, you will LOVE this place!

Was disappointed,
1) "Full Breakfast" = Steam table items were never offered. Only Bread or Bagels, Cereal....We passed on this.
2) "Hot tub" = Empty, blocked off looks like for awhile

The staff was unpleasant, didn't take our complaints seriously, still waiting for a call back from the supervisor. The pool was dirty, the hot tub wasn't functioning, and there was no soap to wash hands available. Paid the extra as I wanted the hotel with a pool and a hot tub, and I got none.

Terrible internet in a nice enough room
Good location for part of a Shenandoah NP trip but trying to access the internet to stream a movie after a day of hiking was futile. Person at the desk was clueless but the lady the next morning openly admitted it was an issue. Could have been a nice stay if they would fix the internet. The bagels at breakfast were stale too

It would have been nice to know when I booked the room that the hotel was undergoing major renovation. I paid regular price for a nothing stay - breakfast was supposed to be included. If this hotel wasn't going to be able to offer what I paid for, they should have at least offered a bagged breakfast option. Ideally I would have been informed when I booked this hotel that I would not be getting what I paid for. I could have stayed in probably 50 other hotels in the area for the same price or less. Very disappointed in the hotel and Expedia.

We were a little shocked to see the name was changed to Best Western and the hotel was being remodeled. The staff was very nice and the rooms on the third floor were totally renovated and beautiful. When this hotel is finished it will be beautiful. I would definitely stay here again.

When I arrived at the hotel I wasn’t sure if it was even open. The ground floor has basically been gutted and they are renovating but it was like walking through a construction zone. The floor with the room was fully renovated so that was fine. Few people were staying here so it was quiet. The room had no toiletries but the reception lady gave me some and was friendly. I don’t think the hotel is currently in a state to take guests. There of course was no breakfast, no coffee, nothing in the vending machines or they didn’t work. I think I paid too much to stay in this hotel in its current state. There are too many other options at the same price that don’t involve walking through a construction zone. If they want guests to stay there they should offer incentives like a voucher for a nearby eatery or something.

Under renovations but nice
They’re in the process of renovating but our room was excellent & the staff were so nice. The bed was very comfortable & our 6’3” son said even the sofa bed was comfortable (it was brand new so that helped). So many outlets which we struggle with often at other hotels. We will definitely be returning there.
