My stay was pleasant. I was put in a handicap accessible room. I didn't like that but I did not put them through moving me. I had several appointments and needed my rest so I didn't bother Miss Rose. I did tell her and she was willing to move me.

it’s was horrible. roaches , nasty shower curtain . i broke out in rashes . could’ve been bed bugs or just nasty freakin hotel . over the last five years this hotel has went down . this use to be my go to hotel when in town visiting family. five years later it’s horrible

I saw the 7.2 and booked a room. Then I looked at the feedback and got a little worried. Yeah, the room was due for a makeover, but it was clean and the bed was a California King and was great. Staff was friendly and doing the best with what they have. Continental Breakfast was weak at 9:00am. Not sure if it was already cleaned out. Overall, the stay was satisfactory. The $200 a night hotel close by had about the same rating so I guess it's always a roll of the dice when you get a room anywhere.

Probably the dirtiest motel and the smell of marijuana was everywhere despite having to “initial in two places” on the sheet to say no smoking in rooms.
Side doors to the outside from stairwells do not even latch to shut despite the sign saying “use room key to enter”. Anyone could come in at any hour. Property in general was extremely Run down with water damage, etc. Horrible air fresheners throughout to try to cover up the smells.
Will not be back.
(The lady that checked us in was very nice)

Was not told before about no elevator. Had to take stairs. Room had to be rekeyed after we climbed stairs with luggage. Had to go back up and down stairs with luggage. No toilet tissue in room had to call to get that brought to room. Desk clerk was very nice about that. Room very dirty. Surface clean, but floors and windows had not been wiped down in forever. Bath floor had not even been swept. Breakfast which was advertised was nothing but Banana, apple, yogurt. Will make sure we never stay at Americas Best again.

Water coming down from the ceiling in the bathroom at 7:30 AM was told by the front desk nothing I could do about it !!!
Gave me a mop and towels to clean up the water !!
On top of that the front desk person was so rude and combative, told my wife to go to the store for milk and sugar for the coffee!! Can’t make this up ! Don’t ever go here! Disgusting and filthy!

2 story building with no elevator. There were old food stains visible all over the place as if nothing had been wiped down in a while. Hallways and stairwell had dirt and trash all over the place. Again, it was obvious that the place was not being cleaned as well as it should. Staff park their cars I front of door so you can’t pull your car up to load/unload. People visibly smoking weed outside and inside the hotel. Tv didn’t work well, AC rattled so bad we had to turn it off. Bad repairs that were an eyesore. The bed was comfortable and it was very quiet at night. Morning staff not visible when we left.

My first room smelled like an ash tray. Had to give me another. I’m 77 and my room was upstairs with no elevator and a long walk to the room with luggage. Breakfast was advertised. There was some small granola type bars and I think some orange juice and bananas. There is a difference between a snack and breakfast. One of the ladies was helpful and nice.

My wife and I along with my daughter had reservations for two room at your America's Best Value Inn.. First we were given rooms 129 & 130. Not one room but both rooms were in deplorable conditions, there was trash all over the rooms, rotting food in both rooms, food particles and crumbs in each bed, loose change littering the floor. Empty coke can and condiments open and left strewn about both rooms. I find it hard to believe after this experience that this establishment received a rating of 7.8 out of 10 stars online. Not only were the beds unmade they also contained food and crumbs all over them as well. Afterwards we went back to the front desk as the conditions of the room were inhospitable and disgusting. The front desk attendant apologized for the state of the rooms and moved us to different rooms located on the second floor and I wish to say that they were acceptable but this was not the case either. We were moved to rooms 201 & 202. Following our check-in to rooms 129 & 130 we were given two new rooms on the second floor rooms 201 & 202 and again they were anything but acceptable. There was rotting food that was inside the air conditioning vents in room 201 along with dirty countertops in the bathroom which also contained human hair that did not belong to my wife or myself. Then there is the issue of the shower curtain rod that is literally tearing away from the wall. In room 202 where my daughter was staying the security door latch was present however

Poor bathroom maintenance, AC unit didn't really remove air moisture, less than 10 TV channels, housekeeping did not service room after 1st day, only 1 small bar of soap in bathroom, shower assembly adjustment would not stay put.

The rooms where hot when first day of trip. The fact they didn't have elevators was a hassle. I asked for new sets of towels cause I stay two days never received them. The room didn't cool off til the day I was actually leaving they changed my room and it still was hot. Need some reservations for the building ASAP!

Advertised a pool however the owner closed the pool long ago. There are no toiletries or coffee in the room. The ac was turned off when we arrived at 9 p.m. Took several hours to cool the room so unable to go to sleep until early morning. Woke after a few hours sleep to what they considered breakfast🙄. They had 2 yogurts and 2 breakfast bars, apple juice and old coffee. We were a group of 4 ladies. I will NEVER stay here again. Tried to get a refund but was told only manager could do the refund since I booked through hotels.com.

Absolutely gross hotel. Moldy shower, dirty carpet, none of the tables or chairs in both rooms where wiped down or cleaned and
it smelled like marijuana on both floors including one of our rooms and the remote for the tv was caked with some sort of sticky stuff. The beds where the cleanest thing in the rooms but thats not saying much. I could go on but I dont have that much time.
On another note the hotel staff at the front desk was top notch friendly, great customer service.

The hotel room wasn’t clean as I expected it to be. The lamps didn’t have bulbs in them which made the room dark. The door squeaked and the latch didn’t work. The staff was very nice the lobby was very clean. Hotel could use some upgrades.

The room was fine. Things could use a serious refresh. The bed was quite comfortable. Best thing was the shower! Hot, great water pressure, no drainage issues. After lots of driving, that's the shower you want.

The property was easy to get too and had easy well lit parking. The hotel was run down and dirty. One room only had cold water another room the shower did not drain. One of the three rooms we had was not cleaned before we checked in,and beds were still unmade. The other two rooms had spill milk or something worse on carpet, TV and headboards of the beds. Also very strong smell of weed in the lobby. No one was ever behind the desk, you had to ring the bell and wait for service. Very disappointed in Expedia rating, I felt in led us to book a seedy hotel.

The staff when we checked in was SUPER SWEET!! The bed and bathroom were very CLEAN, but the room was falling apart. The air conditioner was freezing up and the maintenance man told us to keep it on auto so that it wouldn't. We were not offered another room and when that a/c cut off it was uncomfortable in the room. We went out and bought a fan from the walmart from across the street. The second night when we got back to our room, we had a roof leak. My husband went down to the front desk and was given a bucket... Now, we are very easy going people, but I do find that the property hasn't been kept up. I would like to end with this. The bed and tub were very clean and the staff was great.. The bldg just really needs some updating.

This hotel was clean, and the staff friendly, but no breakfast. It is badly in need of refurbishing. The walls and ceiling were poorly patched in our room where water had leaked at one time. The furniture had seen better days.

It was fine, some strange industrial noises at night, water pressure was meh but when you're spending 85 bucks for a bed and roof on short notice in central MS it does the job required. It's not a vacation hotel, it's a business needs joint.

The sofa was nasty and ask for a sheet to cover so we could sit on it. Two of the 4 lights in the bathroom were gone. The Caulking arount the tub was cracked and old. Housekeeping (Tena) I thinnk was excellent. The outside and pictures on the internet were deceptive. Not at all like they showed.

We stayed here because there were no available hotels in Starkville. I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the area was safe. Room was clean and the hotel was quiet.

Needs updating BAD!!
The whole experience was just bad… when we checked in they are not friendly. Hardly even speak to you… The nonsmoking room smells like smoke. Kleenex box empty, shampoo, conditioner and soap mix matched…like they just don’t care. First morning they knock on our door and asked for our dirty towels but never brought us any clean ones back. Overall bad experience and worker have a bad attitude! The place is just run down and it is very expensive one game day weekends for what you are getting!

This was one of the most disgusting hotels that we have ever stayed. We had two rooms and both appeared to not have been cleaned in over a month. We had booked this hotel for two nights and immediately checked out after the first night. Do not stay at this hotel.

The price is too high, for them to not serve, nor offer any kind of breakfast. Coffee wasn't made, customers had to wait on Coffee. And when asked about breakfast. They say they don't serve it because customers take it all. My room had mold in the ceiling. In the hallway it looks like the wall was about to fall, from water damage. They had a crowed of people outside in the parking lot talking loud and smoking weed. Hardly anywhere to park. Very disappointed.

Horrible hotel
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms had mold on the walls. We were on the second floor no elevator, so you had to carry heavy luggage upstairs. Come back to the hotel after meeting family they had groups of people in the parking lot having parties. Went in to go to room upstairs to girls were laying on the staircase they got mad when they were ask to move. Our toilet would not flush. Their Continental breakfast was quarter size muffins that was bought from the dollar store and cold coffee. I would never ever recommend this hotel it really needs to be closed due to the mold issue

This hotel is very clean but old. It's convenient to restaurants and shopping with a Walmart across the street. The advertisement of a continental breakfast is joke, so prepare to be disappointed if choose to take advantage of the breakfast. Considering the price and proximity to other establishments in West Point, I would stay here again if I was in the area.

This property had very friendly people working the front desk.
The room was not great. The walls were filthy with stains in the bedroom and bathroom. There was so much carpet fresh in that room it burned my eyes and nose. It makes you wonder what they were covering up. It was the same smell everywhere

Comfortable & Quiet
This was my 2nd stay at this facility & it was waay better than previous stay. From check in to check out the staff was awesome. Rooms are very quiet, even when the train slowly rolls by at 3:00 am. Bummer that swimming pool is still inaccessable due to covid protocols. Still strange that a two story facility does not have an elevator which makes it quite difficult to carry luggage up a flight of stairs after driving. The outside bbq grill is definitely a plus. Parking lot is very well illuminated all night. Multiple resturants & a walmart within walking distance is an added bonus.

So the door did not fasten unless you slammed it shut. There was ceiling pieces coming off. The continental breakfast was a bag of mini muffins a thing of Sunny D and a granola bar. The keys also never worked. Hot water didn’t work either they got it finally got it working. Staff was only good thing stay at the Hampton if you want somewhere nice.

Nothing works motel.
Check in was by " Do I really have to be here clerk that would hardly talk. Didn't tell us where our room was. Had to walj a mile tp get there. AC did not work in the room and sunk would not stop running. Toliet did nor flush very well. No hot water only warm.We had to get new room.

Holes in walls in room. Kleenex under bathroom vanity left from previous occupant. Bathtub drain stopper was on edge of bathtub had hair wrapped around the bottom of it. Hair imbedded in "clean" towels.

I did kill a roach with an egg sac attached. So there are roaches in the facility even though it does not seem to be overrun with them. I did let a member of the staff know but she seemed to take it all in stride. After seeing the egg carrying roach, l was not too disappointed they no longer serve a hot breakfast. I probably won't stay there again.

The hotel was fairly clean. What made the rating low is that I'm a light sleeper....and I could here the people walking above my room and in the hallways....so if your a light sleeper like me...this is NOT the hotel for you. Overall it was ok

Very indifferent attitude from front desk worker. Found a crawly, slithery kind of bugin the bedding. The room and , apparently the entire facility really needs a renovation. Lots of bad plaster and dirty looking floors.

The lobby looked like it had been updated but there is no elevator (only two floors though) and the counter in our bathroom looked like it would fall off the wall. However, it was clean, staff was friendly, and it was fine just for a place to sleep.

I found checking in great the lady was welcoming and very friendly, easy check in.
Check out not as good could use a lesson in being friendly from night group.
Disappointed it seemed that the property was using COVID-19 as reasoning for not serving a breakfast. To me that is just an excuse for their cheapness.

The beds were hard as rock. Broken knob to shower, and water never got hot. There is NO elevator. Requested non-smoking, and my room smelt like an ashtray. Worst hotel stay ever, didn’t even stay the second night due to conditions.

Really needs an update. The carpet is nasty, the entire hotel did not appear to have been vacuumed in years. The toilet leaked near the wall and appeared to have been this way for many months. The doors do not close properly, I believe the floors are sinking. Our socks were black after walking in the room. The curtains do not close well. It’s just not a place where you want to stay.

The hotel have roaches n drunks hanging around . I have service dog and we were outside n drunk was sitting at the rear of building n grabbed my dog . I never seen my dog in fear like that before I had to demand he let my dog go . I though I was going to have pull my gun out ..we seen two German roaches in the room these are no water bugs . These are the nasty ones

Nothing fancy, but clean and comfy.
There is no elevator which was surprising. We were on 2nd floor, but the kids in the room next door ran up and diwn the hall at least until 2am. They were loud and beating around so loudly that the family under them could hear them. My daughter was in the room under! They slammed doors and after a reasonable hour! They rattled our door.(folks! Reign in your kids!)
The pool was closed but I guess that is COVID. The room was pretty clean (just a little normal wear and tear), the bed comfortable and spacious and the staff we encountered the same person coming and leaving, was very pleasant and accomodating.

Have always been allowed to check-in early, but not this time. I understand but the attitude of the desk clerk was ubcalled for. When I did check in the temperature in the room was hot. The room never did cool off ti a comfortable level before I checked out.

The management would not take charge. There are many construction workers stay in the hotel. They were EXTREMELY noisy. Slamming door, yelling and banging on doors. I called front desk but nothing was done.
I was there for 3 nights and bed was never made, carpet not vacuumed and bathroom not cleaned.

We stayed on the 2nd floor and the hallway stunk off weed the whole time we were there. The shower was not cleaned and had hair left in it from the previous people. The room my in-laws stayed in had a crack pipe with crack still in it under the couch.
