Tired and dated
Hotel is looking tired and dated. Dried food on the carpet, room very dusty, no bottled water provided, no toiletterries available all week. Hotel used to be great but needs a lick of paint and new carpets

Almost perfect but…
We have always favored Embassy Suites. This stay started to be perfect. On our check out day we discovered our rental vehicle had been towed!! They give you a parking ticket which we put on our dash nightly. The last night we came in late and out our ticket on the dash, I guess we must have brushed it with our jackets while getting out of the van. When we went to pick it up out of tow/storage, I asked to see the vehicle before we paid the $250 bill!
I went and took a picture, anyone could have looked in the window and see it landed in the center of the console plain as day. Embassy wasn’t apologetic but said they contract it out to keep outsiders Out. I showed tow company guy the picture I had just taken and he shook his head and said to take it up with Embassy, they can have the company reimburse or they will. Went back to Embassy and she said they don’t do that. I said well that’s not what the tow company said as apparently this happens often. I showed her the picture and she also seen it was BS! I’m waiting to hear back. I think it’s a racketing thing whoever is out patrolling for their next victim! Not only did it make us have to cancel a tour as this took a few hours to make the calls, get a Uber, wait for the tow company to help us and charge us. Made our almost perfect trip stressful.
Disappointed how the staff coldly handle this wiping their hands clean and not offering to have their Shuttle take us to tow company. At NO time were we told you could be towed!

Large groups staying there, with many unsupervised children running around the hotel. Not a great way to spend our vacation listening to screaming kids the entire time.
Couldn’t use the hot tub comfortably, the handicap chair sitting over the middle to it, unable to move it out of the way.

In general, the hotel is satisfactory, offering spacious rooms.
However, there were issues with room cleanliness and a blocked bathtub drain. Considering the cost, I had anticipated a better-maintained hotel room.

The inside of the property was extremely hot. The rooms themselves were controlled well....but the hallways and open areas were so hot and humid that I looked forward to going outside...in July. Front desk was very nice and the breakfast was great.

Was expecting 2 beds but one was a pull out couch, which was a joke. Wife and 2 babys got woken up by false fire alarm, which had apparently been going off all day the day before.

Property had a strong smell of of chlorine coming from the pool. Front staff are not accommodating. No ice machine on each floor, you have to go to the front desk for ice. No garbage cans around the property. They charge a $10 fee per day for parking which they dont tell you until you check in.

Was floored to find out that as an "Airport" Embassy Suites they offered no shuttle service on Sunday until 4PM-would have chosen different accomodations if I had known-otherwise fine as a typical Embassy Suites

Very Dated Hotel
Hotel is very dated, the lounge chairs by the bar were literally showing the foam inside the cushions because the leather was crumbling. The bar service was horrible, the bartender didn't acknowledge me for 15 minutes even though I was the only one sitting there, couldn't tap a keg and was asking people if he can use the same glasses for their drinks. Rooms are very dark and dingy with 1970's furniture in them. Only positive was the high pressure shower which most hotels don't have anymore because they're conserving water.

Not what we expected
From the beginning the hotel left something to be desired. Mainly the service was just terrible. Upon arrival I told the person at the desk I needed to check in, he chuffed at me like me asking to check in was such an inconvenience for him. The next issue was the complimentary drink service of 2 drinks. The options included were terrible. I had never even heard of the stuff they were offering, 2 clear liquors, a tequila, red wine that tasted like feet, and some IPA my husband said was the worst beer he’d ever tasted. The bartender was very nice though.
The next morning we had an event to go to so all 3 of us showered and we left the towels together on the bathroom floor for housekeeping to know they were dirty so we could get new towels. When we returned in the evening housekeeping had not come. Then we called for new towels and we’re told they would be brought up. We never got towels. I even went down to the front desk and waited for 30 minutes because they were busy talking and they told me to go back to my room and call housekeeping for new towels after I told them I already had.
Also another thing to note, we checked in Friday and left Sunday. There was a dirty plate and fork on the counter outside of the elevator that stayed there the entire time.
It wasn’t the worst hotel experience but a few of the amenities that made me pick this hotel were really not as advertised. And the front desk staff was very rude.

The hotel staff are extremely friendly and the property is in a very convenient location. **However, the pool and hot tub were both closed due to a maintenace issue. We were told the pool will remain closed for at least a month. We were extremely disappointed because we booked this particular hotel based on the pool.**. If you’re wanting a pool do not book this location!

After a canx flight, I booked a room for me 2 children at 945 PM and promptly went to ground transportation. Called the hotel and was told the shuttle was at the airport and where I should wait. I waited. Called again and was told he was on his way. I waited and was hold for 30 minutes only to be hung up on. Another passenger called and was told the shuttle didn't run after 10 PM. I took an uber to the hotel and paid $27.40. Sunday morning, I asked about the airport shuttle and was told the shuttle does not run on Sundays until 4PM (i guess people don't fly before 4 PM). I had to call another Uber and paid $15.03. Regardless of HOW I booked the room (Expedia or directly with the hotel), their website states they have Airport shuttle. It does not indicate there are times or days it is not operating.

We have stayed at this hotel twice in the last few years whenever we are in that area of the States. But each time we had my grandkids with me and they were really looking forward to using the pool. They are 3 and 8 years old. It was very disappointing. This time around the facilities didn’t seem as clean and the bench seating in the lounge area were very worn down. The sofa in sitting area of the suites is really poor quality for sleeping you can actually feel the springs and that was very uncomfortable. My nieces lives there and whenever we come to see them we were planning on staying at this particular location but I think we may have to try another hotel next time.

Do not believe their claim of an airport shuttle. I booked specifically because they listed one. I arrived on the day to be told that if I hadn’t booked through Expedia I would have received a disclaimer (admittedly post-reservation) that the shuttle was limited. As it was, I didn’t receive that post-reservation disclaimer and so ended up paying 25$ for an Uber. And this was with an arrival during a weekday afternoon….not an unusual time to need a shuttle.

My stay at Embassy Suites Dulles Airport
The stay overall was great. The pull- out sofa was very uncomfortable because of a metal bar that goes across where you lay and it definitely hurts.
We asked for 3 extra wash cloths, because there were only 2 we had 5 people.
The lady brought only one back. When we went down to get them ourselves, they said they would have someone bring them up. That person never came. We had to use what we could for wash cloths. Other than those 2 issues, the stay was great!

A great place to stay any time if year
A great place to stay when you have an early flight. I only wish I had more time to enjoy my he amenities. I was too early for breakfast so it would be great if the hotel would offer a sack breakfast with maybe a yogurt, a protein bar, a pack of nuts, a piece of fruit. Of course, a coffee to go would be wonderful.

First Bad Experience with your Service
Check in was bad. I had booked room at rate of $126 but had also redeemed a free night voucher that covered the entire cost. When I showed ID and checked in they said the reservation was NOT prepaid and also charged me $148 instead of $126. Can someone look into this please? If I have to pay the $148 can I at least have my free night voucher back for future use?

We always enjoy staying at Embassy. Rooms, beds, and service are good. Somewhat disappointed with the breakfast. Two days in a row they ran out of coffee. You do serve the best omlettes.

This hotel is in a great location for travelers that need to overnight for connecting flights. Very lose to the airport and they offer free shuttle service to the airport.

Wonderful staff, beautiful property, and descent breakfast. Only issue I had was that the pull out bed was in horrible condition, which is where one of the guest had to sleep. Everything else was great.

Disappointed that they didn’t have a luggage cart for use! Appreciate the staff volunteering (after a while) to take our luggage up to our room. Also disappointed that they did not make it clear at the time of booking that airport shuttle is not offered on Sundays! That upended my plans a bit.
Other than this, it’s a very nice property, and convenient if you are looking to get to the airport or exploring that area

Breakfast omelette station is always with long lines. Skipped it on the second morning of stay
Who needs a life guard at the indoor pool? Strange.
The pool closes at 9pm on a Friday evening. People who arrive a bit late after work on a Friday and want to get in the pool after dinner, your time is limited.
No toiletries in the room. Just 1 shampoo and conditioner and 1 face soap. No lotion, no bath soap, unless you ask the front desk.
For a Hilton brand, some of these are not upto the mark

The property is an impressive hotel and aesthetically appealing. The amenities like the pool, hot tub and in-room refrigerator were appreciated. However, I didn't like the fact that the hot tub, although open and warm, had jets that were not working, needed cleaned and had water dripping into it from a leak in the ceiling above. In addition, the pool area was closed at 9:00 pm which seems earlier than it needed to be.

Hotel was very nice and the free breakfast was very impressive. I never eat the “free breakfast” as it usually just coffee, boxed cereal and pastries. They had a kitchen that made you fresh eggs, French toast and bacon.

The bartender and breakfast staff were great! The guy working the front desk offered poor customer service and the hotel does not offer the amenities that they claim. We stayed here solely for the airport shuttle and parking. The do not offer shuttle service and the parking has to be booked 3rd party. Thia info is provided after your booking not prior and Orbitz will not refund your booking. Save your time and money and stay at another hotel, if you are hoping to park and fly. The customer service is in the late evening os lacking.

Alexander in front desk was very kind and helpful. The room was clean I use the sofa and was clean also. Plus a table with four chairs were we ate.
The breakfast was excelent. They prepare the eggs as you want it with a side choice.
The cook looks tired and I understand because he prepare a lot.
The person who clwan the tsble was also kind.
We had cold or hot coffee, tea, juice, hot oatmeal, bread, muffins, yogurt.
Free parking. Only inconvenient was that they dont have ice machine, but you can ask for ice.

NO SHUTTLE SERVICE AVAILABLE
We called for our shuttle pick up and then we were told the shuttle does not run until 5pm. It was only one o clock. We had to pay for a taxi. On departure we were told that there was no shuttle on the weekend. Again we had to find our own transportation to the airport. We booked this hotel because we needed a shuttle. Please note that we saw the shuttles running for Holiday Inn, Hilton, Best Western and many other hotels as we stood waiting for our shuttle that never came.
Breakfast is not up to standards for an Embassy Suites. They did not have the muffins, fresh fruit, juices or hot food ala cart.
Staff was not very pleasant.
Pool was not open very often, we did get to swim one afternoon.
I did not get my Hilton Honors member greeting or water.

This was a Disaster!
I lost my connection flight Saturday night and booked this hotel that offered free airport shuttle and free breakfast. After I completed the reservation I received a confirmation that had all details…
No shuttles after 10:00pm and I booked at 11:00pm and NO shuttles on Sunday.
The Cherry on the top is that Sunday Breakfast started at 7:00am and I left at 6:45am…

Wouldn’t recommend
Nothing worked, no television, sink didn’t work, fridge leaked and didn’t stay cold, and caused the carpet to be wet and soaked. Informed them of the issues and was told they would see if I could move rooms but it was going to be awhile. I told the front desk the next day they just apologized. Had to have a maintenance man come and fix the sink.

We had to spend the night near Dulles Airport due to canceled flights. It was a tremendous difference from sitting in the airport all day. Very clean, friendly and a very nice place. Modern styling. Great free breakfast.
