Quick stay - loved the extra space

Beautiful Hotel!
My husband and i were in Scottsdale attending a Christmas function. Our stay at Embassy Suites was great, I just wish we had stayed longer to enjoy all the amenities. We will definitely be back.

The property was visibly older but they have updated the rooms, which were pretty nice. There was definitely still a musty smell in the room, which I think was just the age of the property, and the sink water smelled horrible. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was super friendly and accommodating, which made the stay better!

Expected better!
The pictures tell the story. Poorly maintained. An unidentified bug and cockroaches upon arrival. Room has definitely been neglected. Worst part was the lack of compassion by the front desk supervisor. She moved me, but no apology, no room credit, house credit or Hilton points credits. Took an hour out of my day to move rooms as I had unpacked for the week.
Also, hotel does not have a shuttle as I believe I read it did. On a positive note,
Breakfast was good, nice offering. Bartender was very friendly.

loved larger room and it was clean, bathroom was too small. Had to go down to front desk and request clean spare blanket. Parking lot didnt have enough spaces; all carpeting in lobby areas was filthy. Free breakfast were great, however they often ran out of coffee and ALL tables inside and out were always dirty. Housekeeping never came in our room to clean even when we requested a 4 hour window on saturday am. Pool area was great and there was always pool towels available. Pool bathroom were clean. I would stay there again however,I would say something about the room service

Lots of hidden fees, lack of disclosure. Staff didn’t mention pay to park, It should be included in the price on Expedia. This is a hotel that values extra money from a onetime visit, rather than losing a customer

We attempted to check in at 1:30 pm after arriving from a flight and before my sons 10 hour baseball showcase day. We booked the 2room suite (the most
expensive room at the hotel). The couldn’t accommodate and did nothing to offer an estimate of trying to get us in our room just a little early. He was very rude and just said to come back at 3:00

It was a quick trip, one night. They only had one bartender for the reception in the evening. A second person would have helped during the busy time and to cover when the bartender has to go to the back of house to get unstocked bar items. Also, noticed out toilet to was crooked. After trying to adjust, noticed the "flusher" inside the toilet was to tall. This caused airflow under the lid which caused an very large sanitary heath hazard. Please respond to this review.

One of the best Embassy Suites I have ever stayed in. Very clean and well maintained. Common areas are beautiful. My room was very spacious and clean. Would definitely come back here again

Loved the atmosphere with the coy ponds and trees. All the rooms were easily accessible to the buffet.
Only down side was one of the elevators broke but there were plenty within walking range.

Overall a great value. Great location in safe area and price was fair. Rooms are spacious and recently renovated. My biggest complaint had to do with breakfast. They offered hot breakfast but you needed to wait in line for 45 min to get it. Stayed 2 days and never ate hot breakfast because of the line. Our shower didn’t drain well and I told front desk about it and they never fixed it. But all in all I would definitely stay there again.

The only reason I cant give excellent all the way is
a)the phone in our room wouldnt work unless it was on speaker and the front desk had a hard time hearing us.
b) it took a little over an hour to receive extra pillows; when I called back to inquire about my request, they said 5 minutes which turned into another 15 minutes *could have been a simple miscommunication between front desk & the person who delivered them.
Otherwise, the friendly service we received at the bar/grille was excellent (Lupita was so welcoming and informative) our breakfast was delicious the next morning was excellent, the cook seemed a little overwhelmed but towards the end we saw a smile & exchanged pleasantries. We will be back again!!

We asked for non smoking room and the room was previously a smoking room, as the room smelled of stale smoke. The shower had a used towel hanging from shower curtain.
We've stayed numerous time at this location, so it was disappointing.

Could be better
The room was very clean. The location is amazing. I'm only leaving three stars because the young man at the front desk was not necessarily rude, but he was not friendly. He did his job. Period. Additionally, the pool was so dirty, there was an overabundance of chlorine in it. We couldn't use it for more than ten minutes.

Our room was very cold and setting the AC temp higher did nothing. We had to turn it off and surprisingly the room stayed cool the entire 2 days we were there, without using the AC. The first desk clerk we spoke with about this said she’d have maintenance look into it. Later in the day we spoke with another desk clerk and he told us the truth, that the AC cannot be controlled, otherwise their electric bill would be through the roof. My husband is a lineman who worked for APS and he concurred.
Breakfast was included and usually that means a cold, continental breakfast. BUT the breakfast here was outstanding, made to order omelettes and pancakes and more!
But then they get you with $14 a day uncovered parking

My family and I enjoyed this hotel. It was quiet and the hotel itself was clean. We truly enjoyed our stay however, I only had two complaints. The first night it was just my wife and I in a king size bed and it was comfortable. The second night we had a two queen bed suite for our kids and the queen bed wasn’t comfortable so I’m not sure why that is. Also, the made to order breakfast left a lot to be desired. Of course things like cereal and pastries the staff didn’t cook but the made to order food wasn’t that great. The pancakes were practically still raw, the eggs and potatoes were bland, and the bacon was just ok. I’m not sure if the staff just wanted to hurry up and cook or what but I would’ve liked it if it had more flavor. Aside from the beds and breakfast we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful place, clean & comfortable (loved the pillows!), great cooked-to-order breakfast. Only complaints: 1) The manager's reception wasn't happening because it was a Sunday so no free drinks, and 2) there is a $14 per night extra charge to park onsite, and a $14 charge for wi fi service in the room. Those charges were in the fine print but I hadn't noticed, and it seems like those amenities should come with the room for the price of rooms there.

My stay at the Embassy Suites Biltmore Hotel was disappointing if it was not for the excellent location it would have been worse. My 4 night stay was just under 2K and for this money, they do not clean rooms, provide fresh linens, unless you ask. The property does not have a restaurant open for lunch and is limited for dinner. No pool side refreshments or service it is BYOB. When asked for help to get a taxi they would not. The TV in my room was broken for 2 days I called 4 to 5 times the manager on duty said I was out of luck it could not be fixed but when I finally flagged down a maintenance worker on my own he fixed it in 30 minutes and was very pleasant and helpful. This property does not reflect well on Hilton Hotels and I must assume this properties manage is just following orders from upper management. In summary when spending $500 per night for a hotel I had higher expectations to this end my recommendation is not to spend time at Embassy Suites or any hotel operated by Hilton Hotels if this is how they operate them.

Maybe the most disappointing, embassy suites experience ever. When you walk to your room, it seems like a tropical paradise, but once inside your room, you discover what a dump this place really is. For starters, one of our sinks was backed up. OK, this happens, But after they supposedly fixed it, it’s still backed up. The TV/cable set up is from the 1990s. You can’t actually access the guide to the channels. It just scrolls in front of you. There are no apps to choose from just very basic cable. Maybe the worst part of the room itself was the inability to change the temperature inside your own room. When I called and spoke to the very rude person over the phone, she assured me that the air conditioning was only on during certain nights, and the previous night was not one of them. It might be on the next night, however. I’ve never heard this before. There is a gym, if you can call it that. It’s literally for cardio machines and a set of dumbbells. For the size of this hotel, this is very disappointing.
At least the location was favorable, close to the Biltmore and the airport. Otherwise, I would never recommend this place.

Updated rooms!
We have been staying there for years. We were THRILLED that you finally updated the rooms. The last few times we stay at The Camby, because there was a strange smell in the old rooms. So glad we came back.

We loved the location of the hotel and the service was friendly. Room was quiet. A/c wasn’t working so it was a bit stuffy but we opened the door at night.
I do not like that housekeeping isn’t automatically included in our stay each day but we did ask for the room to be serviced.

The property is still being renovated with some rooms complete and others not. Upon check in they offered me a renovated room but wanted an up charge of $20- felt like a bait and switch and unnecessary.

I stay often at this Embassy Suites in the Biltmore area when I travel to AZ. The staff are always very friendly and the ambience with the atrium is so peaceful. Rooms are decent size and the full breakfast is a great start to the morning.
Currently they are renovating so some of the elevators and floors are blocked and a little noisy during the day but that’s all temporary. Still gets my approval.

Charging for parking at your hotel! Really, pretty ticked off that i was not notified that there would be an additional charge of 15 bucks but got charged twice fir staying one night. The room is large and pretty strange having a bathroom sink in the bedroom. Be aware of the hidden parking charged though which are not charged until you check out

The inside area was a wonderful atmosphere! - Water pond, live inside palms, greenery. Excellent morning breakfast with cooked to order omelettes. Happy hours with free drinks. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. Great experience
Only negative was no Hot Tub.

Overall a nice place to stay. Great breakfast! Rooms were a little dated, but they have active construction happening to update everything, so that's good. The mall is right next door so walking to dinner was nice. The bad - we had three sinks in the room, and 2 of them did not drain. The worst was the shower that did not drain. So after a shower, there was 6" of water in the tub, so that was a little gross.

The staff was very nice. The breakfast had many options made to order and was really good. Unfortunately the first room I was in smelt so strongly I switched rooms second room wasn't much better. I think it's a mixture of very dirty carpet mold in the cleaning products they use. The popcorn ceilings are filthy the carpet is disgustingly stained there was black mold in the ceilings of the bathrooms, very old weathered furniture inside.

I was on a family trip and i can tell you that its a beautiful place to take your kids. Very friendly, clean and beautiful. The way you see in the pictures is really what you see in the lobby. My kids loved it. Its nothing big but i was able to spend time with my kids and see fishes and swim for hrs. Best part was that we didnt have to go and get any food somewhere else so my wife and i were able to have some adult drinks in the pool while swimming with our kids. We had dinner in our room and we had breakfast the next day. We had a great experience. Also right next tothe hotel there is a shopping outlet and across the stree a movie theater with also dine in.

My biggest complaint isn't the dingy, smokey-smelling old room... it was the inability to control the room temperature. It was very humid with very little cool air flow unless standing directly in front of the vent. I had my thermostat set to 'high fan' at 60 degrees the entire weekend and it never got cool in the room. it was tolerable, but not comfortable.
I also reserved a king bed online but when I got there they didn't have any. No concession was offered. I chose this hotel because of the king bed availability.

This place does not live up to the Embassy suites name. The reception desk attendants were extremely rude. It was Friday night at 7pm (I won’t write their names). The man and woman were more interested in speaking with each other. They were uninterested in welcoming me to the property. As I was checking in, the woman sternly stated that there were no double bed rooms. I explained that I had booked and paid for 2 doubles. She looked at me and said “ we have no double bed rooms!” I asked if there were sleeper sofas in the king rooms and there were. I didn’t feel like making a fuss and accepted. When we arrived at the room we were pretty disappointed. It was extremely dirty. There was trash left behind, including vaping products that my daughter found by the sofa. Mold in the bathroom. It’s pretty hard to get me to write a bad review but it is obvious that guests do not come first at this hotel.

This used to be a premiere property in downtown Phoenix, but man, it wouldn't be a premiere property in a war zone. The carpets in my room were stained and smelly, the bed had minimal covering, no ruffle, just a bare box spring and a some very cheap sheets.
The bathroom had mold above pictures, in the grout, around the door frame. The bath faucet leaked constantly. Paint was peeling off the ceiling.
Then there's the furniture. The chairs provided were mismatched, and the seat covers were peeling, cracked and disgusting.
An internet connection hangs from the ceiling near the front drapes. There's no USB ports. The phones didn't work and when they finally got to working, nobody in the staff picks them up anyway.
The front desk staff would be comfortable in a CIA black site waterboarding terrorists. There is a policy where you "must give 24 hours notice" if you want your room cleaned. We checked in at midnight and weren't told this by the front desk person, so we didn't get service that day, and I didn't know this so when I was out all day with family I came back to a room the way I left it.
Going down to the front desk, I was informed of the rule, and told that housekeeping had gone home for the day. I told them that I wanted the room cleaned for the next two days while I was there and I was "put on the list".
It was never cleaned, and attempts to reach a manager were thwarted. There are hostels better than this in Mombasa.

Didn't get my wake-up call at 4 AM, and went to settle the bill the night before but the front desk asked told me that I couldn't unless I physically checked out the room which doesn't make sense at all. I have worked in the industry and there is a thing called an Advance folio. I have asked them to email me my folio and still haven't got it. Very disappointing with service, don't think will ever stay at this place again.

The highlight was the breakfast, omelet was made to order with ingredients from your choosing and lots of other items. The building had no stairs from top to bottom inside the building so you are stuck taking the elevators, which are sometimes slow. But the location was good, next to the mall, with restaurants nearby. There is a swimming pool but no hot tub, which is understandable giving the hundred degree heat.
