Nice Scottsdale place you have a few extra bucks
I’d label it as a resort, rather than a hotel. It’s not new, but well maintained. Plenty of friendly staff. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants.

Loved the property. We were there for a weddingZ the grounds were beautiful and the rooftop was amazing. What we didn’t like was that it was $25 to valet or $25 to self park.we would definitely stay again.

The food was amazing! The kitchen and food service staff were all friendly. The housekeeping staff were phenomenal and my room was fun. Wish the outdoor furniture were a bit more updated but the wrap around balcony was a highlight. Could tell that some of the staff were not accustomed to seeing a person of color as a guest. They kept talking to my travel companion (who was white) when I asked the questions. Shout out to Victoria and Gary in the VH spa! Great service from them both.Maddie at the front desk and Cru in the restaurant also gave impeccable service.

Took a solo trip and felt so safe. Everything is in walking distance. The staff is incredibly friendly and informative. The pool is has great drinks, music and food. The rooms are super cute and the spa was amazing!

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT EXCEPT IT WAS
69 DEGREES IN THE ROOM. THE CARPET WAS EVEN COLD...BATHROOM TILE SONJA HENIE COULD HAVE PREFORMED ON IT.

Cute, quirky hotel with amazing service
This is a great property with a lot of charm & character, plus excellent service. It was very clean, pet-friendly, and the staff was super accommodating. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and they were very gracious and welcoming. We ate at the restaurant as well and the food was delicious and reasonably priced for the quality. We'd definitely stay again!

It’s perfect from check-in to check-out. Bartender went out of his way to make a specialty cocktail. Appetizers were outstanding, as was room service - quickest I’ve ever seen. Room and view were just as advertised- pool and Mountain View. Lobby with large fireplace helped with cool weather. Only one anomalous incident was negative.

Lost Direction: Party-pad or relaxing venue
Forced to tolerate an all-night party in the next room. Music was unbearable until security called in the early hours. Incredulously, it took us telling security to find us another room before they asked the attendees (> 12) to turn music off. One of security team said he didn’t want to be a killjoy. Despite music going off, there were comings and goings, doors banging and people being loud through to 7am. Thanks to an inconsiderate few, we had no sleep.
Reported issue to reception next day. One of the team was mildly apologetic, the other said noise was “because we were next to a suite”-as if that made it ok!
At no point did management contact us to apologize. As a result, we felt we were not valued guests purely as someone else spent more money on a room-hence why this hotel needs to decide if it’s going to be a party-pad or look after those who want a relaxed stay.
Other issues: housekeeping did not clear dirty glasses x3 occasions (left them on bedside table), minibar not replenished and use of rooftop terrace restricted to private events. It was a pic of the rooftop with backdrop of Camelback on the booking site that gave this hotel the edge at time of booking. Thought it looked a beautiful outlook it would be a great place to unwind at the end of each day. Little did we know it’s off limits. Asked concierge to book us a cab for an early start but told we would need to do this ourselves.

It was 15 years since we last stayed at Valley Ho, and we were thrilled to find it how we remembered it, but even better. It’s simply a lovely place to stay. Walking to a ton of good places to eat is what we’re all about. Check in and check out were both quite pleasant with the very personable staff. And our room was absolutely delightful! From the comfy bed to the spacious bathroom and the great patio that overlooked the street, it was all perfect. We can’t wait to go back!

I booked a room in the tower of the hotel. My room was next to the presidential suite. They had a large New Year’s Eve party. People were coming and going all night. After contacting the front desk, security came up, but after security left, the party continued. I was moved to a room in another part of the hotel. A cheaper room, with no compensation. The website specifically states that they have a no party policy. I was told I would be contacted by a hotel manager, however I have not. I would like to think that my business is valued as much as that of the person staying in the presidential suite.

Welcome to 1/2 of the Valley Ho Experience
Decided to visit Valley Ho for NYE. Upon arrival we were told the bar and restaurant were closed for a private party, but we can pay $125+ each for the party.
They had set up a few tables in the lobby as a make shift bar/cafe that filled up with a wedding party. Love the look and style, but it’s getting run down.
Very disappointed this time around.
Not sure I would spend almost $500 a night again.

Closed facilities during holidays!
Beware when the Valet asks you if you want to self park, and checkin tells you the self park is closer to your room. The valet fee is the same as the self park fee! But no one tells you that, anyone would assume self park was less so free!
Also don’t travel here during your Christmas to New Years break when many are off work and school, because their main pool and hot tub are closed for annual repairs!
The hotel was fine but these two inconveniences were very frustrating. Why do travel to Scottsdale from snow country if it’s not to sit by the pool!

The staff was outstanding. Excellent spa, had 2 massages and highly recommend. While the main pool was closed, they did their best with the smaller pool. Great food at restaurant and stunning grounds. Overall great stay, cool hotel. Will go back. Big shout out to Maegan at the front desk, she went above and beyond as did her manager.

Saturday afternoon and Sunday were lovely. But at 8:00 on Monday they began demolishing the pool. The amount of noise and dust ruined the stay. We were hoping to make this a yearly trip but if this happens every December, you can forget it. There was also fire alarm testing at 9:30
Am on Monday. When we went to the other small pool for the day on Monday it was filthy. There were dirty towels, food and drinks left over from the day before. We are just two moms who tried to get away for the first time in ten years and this was unacceptable.

We loved our stay at Hotel Valley Ho! The retro vibe can be felt from the moment you arrive. The service from every employee we met was fantastic. Zuzu, the onsite restaurant, offers a great menu. The hotel is in a very walkable area with many nearby shopping and dining options. The property is well maintained and very clean. We will definitely return to this area and would choose Hotel Valley Ho again!

Overall the hotel was lovely. However there were several events during our stay. We called room service two nights in a row for ice and they never showed up. It was also loud well into the AM with party goers and music from the pool area. It made it hard to sleep. I did love the very deep tub and the room had lots of space to relax.

OMG, we didn’t want to leave! This hotel was such a great place to stay, the rooms were so much fun, the patio with the lemon trees!!!! The service was beyond excellent. We called a couple times for different things, and you wouldn’t believe how fast they delivered. Definitely planning another trip to the Valley Ho!!!! Have to take the tour of the hotel!!!!!!

The property was a newly remodeled classic layout. The staff was what made this stay over the top. I felt like I was in the 1960's, it was fantastic. The pool experience was also wonderful. Highly recommended stay.

Staff was unbelievably helpful and friendly. There were events onsite but we did not feel impacted. Our ground floor room was nice and quiet. Food on property was really good and staff gave us good off-property recommendations as well. Bar was active. Overall a fun and nice vibe. We will be back.
