Exceptional location. I was unable to sleep due to excessive noise. The swimming pool was overcrowded and, kids were left unattended while mom's were at the Bar. They would pop in once in a while to do a head count. The staff should have paid more attention to the swimming pool area. Cleanliness was lacking in our room. One of Our kids pulled out a undergarment from under the desk area. The cleaning crew should have most definitely caught that. I will say the front desk while checking in was exceptional. Also the maiden order breakfast was very nice. I guess in the big picture you get what you pay for.

Less Impressed this Visit
We stayed here last year and had great customer service. Front desk was less friendly this year. Lobby was cold and majority of guests were there for an athletic event and they did not open breakfast a little early like other hotels in the area so that they were able to eat conveniently before competing. Had trouble with parking validation and with the cost of parking, it should not have been a hassle. Probably won’t go back next year.

You can't go wrong staying here!
The staff was the best! So friendly and helpful! They keep up with communication to see how your stay is and if you need anything! The bartenders were amazing! Friendly and great drinks! The breakfast was amazing as well! Although, that is what Embassy Suites are known for. Hotel was clean, comfortable and peaceful! Definitely would recommend!!

The location has positives and negatives. Let's start with the positives -- good location, excellent service, and several nice amenities. The desk crew were excellent -- friendly and helpful. I'm not sure if they were lacking in staff, but the place was a times a little mess -- but it can be chaotic especially during the free breakfast. Also, we booked the place for several reasons but one reason was for the indoor pool. However, the pool is NOT heated and almost unswimmable because it was so cold.

Cubs Con Hotel of Choice
I stayed here during the 2024 Cubs Convention that was held at the Sheraton. I am a Hilton Honors member and I would rather stay at a Hilton hotel. I am so glad I stayed at the Embassy Suites. Only a one block away from the Sheraton.
The best part was the breakfast the next day. The hotel was busy but it was way more comfortable than staying at the Sheraton.

It was just OK
Linens were in poor condition, there was pieces of food under the pull out couch, bathroom ceiling had mildew on tiles...probably because there was no fan for ventilation in bathroom. The pool was way over crowded.

Great location, friendly staff, clean, great breakfast. The biggest free breakfast I’ve ever seen at a hotel. Also, great happy hour with free drinks and snacks. The parking is very expensive. I guess they have to make up for the free breakfast and drinks some how. But I would stay there again and would recommend it.

Overall the stay was nice. Downsides included that the pool was freezing, there was no conditioner left in the dispenser in our room, and the guests in the room next to ours were very loud. Other than that, our stay was fine.

Good location 15-20 minutes to most of the attractions. Good Service rooms are clean but kinda noisy from the furnace. Parking is convenient. Just beware that you might put on hold for a while when you contact the hotel desk and expect to spend some time to wait on line for check in, happy hour and breakfast during the holiday season

Embassy Suites via Hotels.com are both wonderful. I enjoy the ease of booking and check in. The Woman who checked me in was professional, patient, polite, and informative. The room location was spectacular. Kudos to the hospitality team who worked 12/30 - 1/1/24. The breakfas crowd was massive, yet, orderly. Loved it all from top to bottom. Thank you.

Small and uncomfortable beds
My family of 5 just got back from a 4 night stay at this hotel. One of the major things we didn't like was that the beds were full sized and for two adults that is very uncomfortable. The pull out couch bed was also uncomfortable my children said. The bathroom had a weird musty smell other than that the hotel room was clean. They give you two free drinks a night for social hour but the line is a at least 100 feet long there for we never even used them. Also, food line is usually long for breakfast and it isnt that good. So we only ate there our first morning. The pool is small and always packed and no hot tub. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and wouldn't stay there again. Another thing, you can hear people talking in the rooms surrounding yours very clearly.

Happy hour for drinks was ok. Breakfast decent. Small pool area, bad pillows, uncomfortable bed, bathroom needs to be maintained. Also asked for no maid service just fresh towels and each morning got someone knocking on our door. Not clean, had previous guest room service outstide our room for an entire day and garbage stacked with empty pizza boxes and such.

I was very impressed with the hotel. Very busy and check in probably could have used a little more help. However when I got to my room I was very disappointed with my so called city view. We had better view of the city from the elevator. I was celebrating my sons birthday and paid extra to give him to great experience of the city view but we did not get that. I saw more of the lake than the city, I just think she should accommodate a city view especially when they make you pay extra for it. I also could not even get anyone on the phone from the room phone nor my own cell phone.

Room was missing some spots from cleaning, broken curtain rail so the window was partially open majority of our stay. There was an odd wet spot under the table in sitting area, consistently wet almost from a leak possibly. With a family traveling with special needs children we choose to overlook these issues as we paid for a special room and did not want to relocate with all of luggage.
We were also double charged for room service which they denied but is present in my current print out bill and account so definitely read your room delivered today bill closely.

Hunted house hotel !!
Hotel needs lots of upgrades!!! From management to all the hunted house furniture!! Overpriced!!! Terrible quality furniture! Breakfast is not that good !!! That’s why is free!!! Some of the staff at happy hour is very rude !!! They just killing time to make the money !!!! It’s nightmare breakfast time and check out time… need to wait for elevators for 20mins !!!!! That’s ridiculous !!!!
Please make the change!!!!!! I was going to give zero stars!! But checking in staff was only good thing!! Rooms are terrible!!! Old like a ghost!!! Please don’t waste your money here !!! Go somewhere else!!! Better don’t full for free breakfast!!!

Not At All what I expected
Candy was awesome, she was the clerk at the registration desk. Parking person was nice. However for it to have be downtown in the magnificent mile. The inside looked like a housing project. People were at allowed to come down in half robes where you can nearly see their bottoms. The breakfast was ok. The staff were awesome. The room did not have an iron. The bathroom was not really clean.

Totally Disappointed
I usually stay at Hilton hotels for Christmas. After this, I will be selective. The room was out of supplies like soap, the sheets were dirty and the extra blanket was dirty. With this being an extravagant area like downtown chicago, you would expect better.

Very loud, paper thin walls.
This was an incredibly loud and crowded hotel. The walls are paper thin and we could hear every conversation. The adjoining rooms had until about 3:30 in the morning. This is just an awful hotel, and I would not stay here again.

We’ve stayed here several years for our Christmas events and it seems like the condition of the hotel is declining. There was a badly patched up hole in our bathroom door, the bath tub would not drain, armoire door coming off the hinge, peeling furniture, etc. Their breakfast set up is nice but the food was almost inedible. The eggs were watery and tasteless. The pool is small and the water was cold. Staff was nice but I think we’ll be looking for a different hotel next year.

This hotel is number one in my books to stay at in any city! Chicago, Streeterville, is one of the best areas to be at in the whole city, in my opinion, and then the ability to have breakfast and reception hour at the same price as just a regular hotel room is unbelievable. This embassy suites is number one in my opinion !

This is a great place to stay in the city. They offer a complimentary cocktail hour with 2 drinks and appetizers. They also have a great breakfast that is included with made to order eggs/omelettes. The only issues we had were that the check in process was very slow because 2 of the 3 front desk computers weren’t working and there was a line forming, the pillows were not very comfortable, and they only gave us one wash cloth in the room. Very minor problems though overall. (Also just a tip…you can park across the street in another garage and save yourself $10/day.) We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be recommending it to others.

Loved that it was close to the theater we were attending for the evening!! The tub was unfortunately dirty and had a slow drain. Lotion container was empty. Other than that, the view was gorgeous and we had a decent stay.

The room was a tad underwhelming compared to what was advertised online. We paid for the premium room and got a view of the back of the hotel which was basically just roofs and air handlers. That was a bit disappointing but the room had a surprisingly comfortable couch and inside view from the 17th floor was nice. Breakfast prices were a little too high for the food that was being served.

During checkin process, we arrived at 1pm asking if our room is ready. We were told to come back at 4pm, otherwise, there is a fee for an early checkin. We came back closer to 3pm and were told that after 2pm there is no fee to check in early, which we were never told about. The service was unfriendly.

I paid for the premium room and when we got to the. Room it was dirty. There was pee all over the toilet. Then we got to the second room. Linens were dirty with hair on them, AND Food crumbles on the blanket. Staff was polite but stay was not comfy or worth the price.

Great location, amenities, and service. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The room is showing it’s wear. Bathroom has torn wallpaper, bottom of door has damage and towels were inconsistent with some days not having wash cloths and only 1 hand towel.
However, we had a great visit to Chicago and would defyreturn.

Dirty and molded bathrooms. Hair everywhere. Breakfast is free but there are so many people you can’t find a table. Also after 2 days they run out of fruits so they put whole apples and oranges in the buffet. I have never seen anything like this. You have to take 3 different elevators to get to your car. Nightmare. A few towels - no washcloth nor hand towels. I asked for more, I got 1 washcloth lol

I didn't like the fact that I had to pay $53 dollars for parking. Our room had water damage that wasn't fixed good. Our pocket door was sticky and had rub marks. In the shower we had no conditioner. Some of the towels and wash clothes were stained yellow. Their was a stain on the sofa.
The view was one of the positives and the beds were comfortable.

I rented two premium rooms and am very disappointed with cleanliness. The shower was full of mold and shower head was caked in deposits and mold. The water from the sinks were brown. Disappointed that I spent the money and extra premium upgrade money so this level of cleanliness.
