Great location and very inviting
The hotel was in a great location, it was clean, inviting and the staff was all very friendly and attentive. Our room was clean and the breakfast buffet was really good. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Awesome!

Booked a 2 bedroom suite with 2 queen beds and 2 bathrooms. Was provided with 2 queen beds, 1 room and only 1 bathroom. Spent over an hour trying to rectify but finally gave up to go forward with vacation plan. Embassy said it was hotel.com issue. Hotel.com could not provide booking detail showing what their site offered/what I purchased. Also, was disappointed that the indoor pool was frigid-not heated so not at all enjoyable.

Saved by the Staff! Update the property, not staff
The staff at this Embassy Suites is top notch!
The property is in desperate need of renovation. Lots of rust and worn out items. Only two of the three elevators would go to our floor.
The indoor pool should be advertised as a cold plunge, as it’s not heated and was too cold to use.
The parking garage had only one of the two elevators working, it’s a free standing structure, very unsecured, making the $42.00 very steep!!
The evening reception was ok, but cheezits shouldn’t count as an appetizer, very skippy on the food.
Breakfast was very good!! Two staff members were maintaining the large section of food. The omelette station was great. Several guests mentioned that they would prefer to have pancakes as an option every morning, they were only available once in our six day stay.

Terrible food service. Menu and hours were limited, and, although we had made reservations in October, we were not told about the limited room service until check in. I have been staying at this hotel since the early 90’s, and can clearly say it has significantly declined in quality. This may have been our last stay.

The staff is incredibly rude. Looks like they don't want to work, they are not accommodating at all or helpful. Half the elevators don't work. Weird smell in the hotel. Terrible stay

The condition of the bathroom was terrible. I took pictures of paint drips and paint all over the handles of the door. Also we were charged 45.00 dollars with tax to park in a dirty parking garage and both elevators were not working!

The room was hot at night and I could not adjust the thermostat, it was like defaulted to turn off at night. In the morning like at 6 am, it was on again and at the original temperature as when we checked in. Also, the parking garage elevator was out of order, so we had to go down and up three floors.

This embassy is a little older. My room smelled humid. The housekeeper never cleaned our room, had to ask at the front desk for clean towels. The parking is expensive and it’s not safe. There’s no one to watch your car. Other embassy’s offer drinking water. This one doesn’t.

Great breakfast & Comfort
This is my 2nd stay here, I like how it’s convenient close to downtown and the popular Congress attractions. The room is very spacious and I like how the living room is separated from the room so you can close the door for privacy. The give vouches for free drinks during happy hour and have great breakfast! The parking garage is safe but they do charge 42$ , or you can also park along the street and pay the parking fees. The valet guy is so nice and helpful with taking down luggage or unloading. No complaints! I also enjoy that they have those electric scooters that you can grab and take it to where you need to go anywhere downtown,only paid 7$ and that beats walking.

The hotel needs update, the room had a weird smell, maybe the vent system; the breakfast was basic, they only cook with butter, they couldn't accommodate a dairy free allergy. Consider the parking fee $42 per night, the parking location it looks not safe at night. On the flip side the staff was very friendly.

Room was clean, but furniture in living area was outdated and worn. One chair was peeling on the back corners. Major issues with parking! Garage across street is $42/day. The elevator was broken and lighting at the elevators was nonexistent! Parking for the hotel is located on floors 3,4, or 5 with no working elevator?! Talk about an accident waiting to happen...

We stay here every time we visit out college student. This time front desk help was horrible. Asked twice for sheets/blanket for couch bed and no response even though yes they’re ccoming. Their coming. Many choices in Austin I guess I will look elsewhere next visit

I loved the living rooms that close off from the the bedroom. They have an excellent evening reception included with drinks at the bar and a variety of snacks. The morning breakfast is also impressive with an omelet.

The rooms were quite nice and the location was convenient for walking to major sites. The staff were friendly and the breakfasts were excellent with many , many options. The casual bar dining was surprisingly good . Our only complaint was housekeeping. We had to ask for towels every day and the follow up was poor. There were no towel racks to hang up towels for reuse either in the bathrooms. Housekeeping service was poor.

Rooming with crickets
It would have been nice to have been told upon check-in that there was an issue with crickets in the area. I had to call maintenance twice to help me catch crickets and then spray in my room. Also, the shower pan badly stained it looked as if it was not clean; looks like it could use an update. The carpet was pulled from the wall And the crickets matched color of the carpet so I was worried about possibly stepping on one…eek!

It’s a great hotel. The only bad part is that you have to pay a parking fee which I thought it was very expensive not to mention it doesn’t feel safe when walking back to the hotel through an ally with very poor lighting. Breakfast was great the bar is a plus you can have a drink after a long day and just walk to your room.

We got to the hotel at 4:30 pm cst and check-in is at 4 pm. We were told the room was not ready yet to give it 15 minutes. We had a wedding to go to and needed to get ready. I kept checking with the front desk and was told something different each time. They were short staffed and then I was told the Queen Suites are the last rooms to be cleaned. It was a little before 6 pm when they called that the room was finally ready. My kids wanted to go in the pool and when we got there, it was filled with crickets inside of the pool. Who wants to swim with crickets jumping at you in tje water. Why not just close the pool instead. We left the pool because they did not want to get in and when we got back to the room we couldn’t get in. The light would turn green with key but door was jammed. I called the front desk and the guy asked if anyone was in the room I said no and he sighed like it was a big inconvenience that I called because we couldn’t get in our room. I finally was able to get the door open by pushing it open with my body and maintenance showed up and said it was no problem he had a key if it happened again. We were told we can wait in the lobby area but they would not give us tickets for drinks until we checked in even though we were waiting in the lobby while Happy Hour was going on we weren’t able to participate. They gave us tickets when we checked in but at that point we had to get ready to leave. I will never stay here again.

The place was much nicer than I expected. We came into town for a convention at the Palmer Center and the hotel was exactly what we needed. Everyone was super friendly, the beds were very comfortable, the room was huge and clean…all in all a good stay and very reasonable. I would go back.

There was a cockroach in the room at least 4 inches long. I called the front desk at 11pm and they could have cared less. The rooms are dated and dingy.
The cleaning lady was very sweet. Not her fault. The hotel needs to be renovated and pest control needs to happen.

The hotel was nice and I would stay there again, however, the fixtures in the shower were coming apart but nothing that maintenance can't fix. The only other issue is that parking was $40 in a parking garage whose elevators weren't working. It was a bit inconvenient to have to carry luggage 3 or 4 flights of stairs.

I always enjoy when breakfast is included in my hotel stays. And this hotel had better breakfast selection then many others. I really appreciate the fresh cut fruits, for example! I would love to see vegetables as well though.
This hotel is in a great location, and has pretty good city view. However, the rooms are in need of carpet a couch change/upgrade. My King Suite City View room smelled of mildew, while the couch was visibly torn and when turned into another bed, the mattress was full of stains. It was just something you don't want to sleep on.

Was in Austin for a convention and I was quite disappointed in the cleanliness of the rooms and the furniture/decor is vastly outdated. The location wasn't bad and the area was quiet. The parking is not ideal, a detached parking garage behind the hotel in which only floors 3,4,& 5 are available. The service from the employees was great and checkin was a breeze, but the building is in dire need of a complete upgrade/renovation.

The staff was great! Truvelle was super nice. The facility is very dated and needs an update. Ants in the shower. Not all of the gym equipment worked and WiFi was pretty non existent. Other than that my husband and I thought the location was good.

The location was close to everything we needed (shopping, dining, etc.). Even when I went more than 15-30 minutes away, finding my way back was easy. The staff (especially Carter) was pleasant. The rooms were clean. I think every Embassy has a different look state to state. The environment appeared safe. I just wished the parking garage was attached to the hotel. Make sure the “walker” in your party gets the car. Overall, I’d stay there again. 4/5 stars for me!

Very outdated. Stained sofa. Stained bed. Towels smelled and had to get new ones. No sheets. Phone did not work. It was a very rare terrible stay at embassy. Maybe I expect more for a high end expensive suite but it was terrible.

Night service needs work!!!
Every thing was pleasent until night time when we asked .
We did phone call for covers for sofa bed. They said they would send someone up.
30 minutes later i went downstairs, and asked for it in person, also mentioned the body wash and shampoo are completely out. Said they would send up with covers and blanket.
Fast forward to another hour. Nothing sent. We called and said they send someone...
Quite upsetting that no one ever came after multiple attempts of requests.

It was ok , i didn’t appreciate the fact that another lady checking in was waived the early check in fee because she told them they had told her 1 oclock but yet the proceeded to charge me for it 🙃 . Maybe if i was rude i would get my way too

The property itself is in a convenient location and is walkable to S. Congress and all the food and shopping, as well as the bridge with the bats. Uber is easy to use there for further locations. Our room smelled like someone had spilled water on the carpet and had a moldy, musty smell that got worse as the days went on. We stayed for three nights and could not wait to leave that room for good. The lobby area is nice and the breakfast is top of the line. It had an omelet bar - I didn't use it but the friends I was with did and they said it was nice.

Nice Stay
Nice stay. Always love the Embassy Suite’s breakfast and even reception, although the evening reception is not what it used to be, but at least they still offer it. The lobby was very pretty and the room was good. I think there may have been some superficial updates to the room in the not to distant past, but they could really use a full update. I would stay again though.

I choose this hotel because it was near my family activities. I would like to say that the hotel was nice, but the cleaning I can't say the same, the cleaning was terrible. I went for one night and the bathroom's trash can had trash on it, the sofa had a huge stain from liquid coffe o I don't know what it could be. I was tired from the long day that I had, so I didn’t stop by the office to ask for another bedroom. But luckily i always bring extra covers to my trip for my kids to sleep in . Hotel managers please put attention to the cleaning, this could have a bad effect in a nice hotel. Thank you.

Great Hotel!!
We had an amazing stay! The room was the perfect size and the beds were very comfortable. Everything was clean and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Even when I needed extra blankets for my anemic niece they didn’t hesitate to help. The breakfast was a wide variety of delicious food and beverages. It’s also in the perfect spot for all the places you want to visit. We will be back

This was a clean property that allows for easy access. It is the perfect location if you are looking to head downtown, head to Barton Springs, or just walk around. We were on a lower floor so the traffic was pretty loud and the room struggled to keep up with keeping the room cool at night. The elevators were rarely clean, but the majority of the property was clean. The staff were super friendly and engaging! The food at the bar was overpriced and average at best, but there is a great drink promo every night that is 10/10! Overall I give the stay a 7.5/10 for great staff and convenience!

Customer service did not seem to possess the adequate skills to communicate with guests. Their attitude was not welcoming and at times, they were even rude (front desk and bar). Our toilet wouldn't flush properly and the iron didn't work either. Happy hour and breakfast was vast, clean, and delicious.

The room was very dirty. My 3-year-old son's feet were completely black on the bottom from walking around without shoes. There was a huge stain on the couch and stains all over the bathroom.

Functional and Friendly
Stay here pretty much one week evry six. The rooms/suites are large and the service is great. Location couldn't be better, quick walk across bridg to the sity or short walk up the hill to the buzz of Sth Congress. The rooms are a little tired and if you want bright lighting this is not your place (70's yellows everywhere), but if you're looking for a functional room with a great breakfast in a handy location - this is the place.

Location is convenient. Parking is easy. Free breakfast and happy hour. Hotel is tired and needs refresh. Rooms weren’t stocked with towels but staff supplied promptly when requested. Staff made the experience very pleasant.

The breakfast was great. The receptionists were friendly. Also, I was allowed an extra hour for late checkout. However, the following areas need improvement:
1. The pool water was so cold that I could not take my morning swim. The hotel should heat the indoor pool.
2. I could not find any recycling bin for plastic bottles.

Definitely above average as hotels go,but also significantly overpriced. There is an awesome breakfast and free drink coupons for 5-6pm happy hour, parking lot services also not worth $40/night and parking garage is in disrepair, no functioning elevator. Room decor is dated and worn hard, shower is not for tall people.View was great.

Rooms and common areas were clean. However, hotel is outdated, bathrooms smell, service was slow (had to ask couple of times for towels to be refreshed and garbage taken out). Common areas can use an update (look alike water feature should be made into a water feature) and the pool looks more like a oversized, indoor hot tub.

Great staff, but building needs some updates
Great location, super friendly staff. A bit dated inside and the couch in my suite looked like it had a few rough party nights, I didn't even want to sit on it. Hard to get the room to desired temp as the heating unit was directly behind the bedroom door so if the door was open it blocked the vent. Bed was comfortable enough and I slept well.
Windows looking into the atrium/hallway are a very 1970s idea that I did not appreciate. At least their were blinds but I imagine it would be noisy if there was a wedding party or something. Some shampoo in the shower would have been nice. Bar, sitting area in atrium was comfortable and free drinks from 5-6:30 was great. Was ok for business but I wouldn't stay for a vacation.
