The staff was very friendly but once again when I got there after speaking with Expedia, twice, they had me checking in on the wrong date. The staff was able to accommodate me. Also, the ice machine was not working on my floor and it seems like it has been like that for a while. I loved the room.

The rooms were spacious and clean. We booked about 25 rooms for a wedding we were having at the Abbington. They offer transportation to/from the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Comfortable bed. Nice atmosphere. Nice open lounging area to meet up with other family for dine in meals. We did encounter an incident one night in the room next to us, hotel staff were quick to act and keep us updated on the situation.

Don't waste your money
We checked in at 3pm which at that time I was handed the keys to the room with zero instructions on what to do or where to go, once in the room we noticed the internet didn't work which was needed so we could work from the hotel, the room was also very warm and the thermostat didn't work at this point I went to the front desk to ask for help and they gave me the number for AT&T to call to find out what was wrong with the internet because the front desk hadn't heard of any issues, I called AT&T and they told me the internet had been out at that location for a while and they gave me a ticket number. We had someone come up to the room to check on the air and the compressor was out meaning no heat or air so they offered to switch rooms and I was told it was the exact same room just a different floor, we moved and it was not the same room, it wasn't as nice and is was handicap accessible and the bathroom flooded every time we took a shower, there were huge gross stains on the carpet which looked as if no one really had tried to clean it up. I had forgot my wine opener and when I asked for one, they have one for the entire hotel and you must bring your wine to the front desk to open, Called the front desk to get more coffee for the coffee maker in our room they said they would have someone bring some and never did. This is listed as an upscale hotel, zero help, old TV's, crap!

Location provides easy access to a lot of things but the walls were super thin. We had a room full of children who seemed to have no adult in the room that were screaming until midnight and throwing things all over the room. Complained multiple times and front desk took care of it but they woke up doing the same thing early in the morning the following day. Wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you want to hear everything in the rooms next to you (including people going the bathroom).

I booked this hotel only because of shuttle service mentioned on the site. When I checked in, I was informed we do not provide shuttle services around the area. I did Uber. If only I knew I would have stayed somewhere else. Please update your websites. Also both phones in the room was disconnected. I had to call the agent using my cellphone and informed her to leave a not for housekeeping.

I should remember to dress in my designer clothes at check in next time I come to this facility. I felt incredibly inferior to the check in receptionist (I’m currently going through some personal hardships).

Everything about the room was good and the lovely woman who checked me in..great!
However, we were on a family reunion trip and had a frightening incident on Saturday night/early Sunday AM7/22-23)at 3:30 in the hallway outside my niece and her children’s room. Woke up to screaming and physical fighting between a man and woman. The woman sounded like she was being beaten at some point. My nephew called the front desk three times for security..nothing happened. My question is why didn’t your front desk person call 911 for the police? A woman was being beaten and it was terrifying for my niece, nephew and their 2 children. In 2023 I can’t believe your training doesn’t have some component on domestic violence and what to do. Calling three times for help and never getting a response is outrageous. Please DO BETTER!

The hotel was very nice looking and even smelled great! The room was clean and they still practice COVID safety measures. The furniture in the room was a little dated and could stand to be replaced otherwise a nice stay!

This property has a great location, and amenities such as an on-site Starbucks. However the rooms are tired and worn. The sleeper bed was threadbare. The staff was very nice and tries to help make accommodations. Overall - have to admit that one doesn’t usually book a hotel based on the sleeper bed! It’s simply that this is an older hotel and needs a refresher.

The room was not very clean, floors needed vacumning, french fires on floor. Hair in bathtub. We were woken up on Saturday morning at 7:30 am by housekeeping told them we were not ready to check out they did not speak English and came back several times to see if they could come in to clean.

I chose to stay at this property for a Mother’s Day getaway for myself. My company had a few conferences at the location and since it was close to my home I thought it was convenient. When I arrived to check in, the front desk clerk did not seem to happy to be there. I asked about restaurants nearby by that delivered and was provided a menu for Sarpinos (the food was horrible but not the hotel’s fault) and a printout of a few Chinese restaurants that were near the closing time. When I arrived to my room (601) I noticed the couch was filthy and filled with crumbs not to mention the stained carpet and the sticky substance that I stepped in once I removed my shoes. The room smells of feet or old shoes. I’m assuming it was the dirty carpet. The television was difficult to work and because the battery was low on the thermostat, I froze most of the night. On top of being cold, someone kicked my door at 12am. For 211 dollars, I could have stayed at a motel for less and I’m sure a better room. I was extremely disappointed as I did this as a treat to myself that turned out to be a waste of money. I will never stay at this location again nor recommend it.

When we arrived & checked in, they never told us about the facilities besides the fact they gave us a room with one bed when we requested 2. That was taken care of when I phoned. No info about facilities in room. Went for breakfast, 1 person to attend the needs of a very large dining area. Cleaning tables as well as DOING DISHES!! She did it all with a smile; but she shouldn’t be doing all that!!!
Could not get the free Wi-Fi & if I called or stopped at desk about it, they were less than friendly to help out, like I was bothering them.

Rooms were very outdated and lacked modernization. There was hardly any staff at the end of the night for guest requests. We were also told the Bar was closed at one point and they were serving others, employees claimed to be serving the owners.

I checked in at the front desk, and it was a very cold experience. No smiling faces, no proper welcome, just asked for my name, drivers license and credit card. She then handed me keys and asked if I wanted a chocolate chip cookie? Never told me the pool was closed for maintenance. Never mentioned the restaurant or breakfast offerings. And, there was literally nothing in the room mentioning any of this either. It was just a very luke-warm experience. Also, no Alarm Clock. I realize we all use cellphones these days, but a visual clock is ALWAYS nice for mid-evening glances. Also, a hodge-podge of shampoos/conditioners/etc...almost like an after-thought. Not going to hurry back here any time soon.

My stay was nice and my kids really enjoyed themselves. My room was smaller than the pictures online, but it was clean. The only negative things were that the doors (all of them) did not work automatically from technical difficulties resulting in me trying to hold the door manually while trying to push my things in using the cart. Also, when I arrived to check-In no one was at the service desk (no bell). I had to sit and wait for someone to come to the service desk. With that being said the receptionist was very apologetic and friendly. I would stay there again!

The hotel is nice and in a nice area. The room was clean but there was some trash behind our couch throw pillow and under the couch as well. The bed and the couch were very firm, which made it hard for me to sleep on either.

Parts of the hotel were very nicely updated, others could use some updates. Overall it's a nice place. I would likely stay there again. Very warm pool which was nice. The living area was pretty loud (the hotel was very busy) but thankfully it was quieter in the room.

Very decent hotel
Overall we had a great stay. The suite style rooms are very comfortable, especially for longer stays. The large atrium makes this style of hotel feel very different to many others.
The only minor criticisms would be that the room we had felt slightly dated, it was great and had everything you needed, but in places was showing its age. The hot-tub was also more like a 'warm-tub'. Again, nothing major, it was still fun to sit in.
All in all this is a very decent hotel, I would stay here again. The staff were fine, the gym decent, parking and location decent, we didn't use the restaurant/bar. The bed was very comfortable.

No vacuuming or whirlpool
Carpeting in room was dirty, found a screw laying in the middle, and it needed a vacuum. Told front desk but they said vacuuming needs to ordered a day in advance. So no go. No housekeeping either and we are well past covid restrictions. Nov 2022.
The pool is very nice but the whirlpool was broken and was the main thing I was looking forward to.
No breakfast. There’s a Starbucks by the front desk, and the restaurant was very good.
Convenient location right by the expressway.

Some of the staff are great, others seem like they are going through the motions. The condition of the hotel is so-so. They still haven't fixed their front doors, the elevators are beat up, half the outlets in the rooms don't work, and the rooms overall aren't upgraded.

Awful stay on many levels, 5 day stay....SO DISAPPOINTED! Especially for a Hilton Hotel! No manager on duty the entire stay, front desk (not present in evening) unresponsive when there nor picked up phone. Had to switch to a new room after my first day because of bugs in bathroom, bed side outlets for chargers not working, fire alarm light flashing above my bed all night (had to cover with tape) and a popcorn smell that wouldn't go away. Second room was a little better but there was other ongoing issues such as construction in lobby and kids soccer tournament in town. Dozens of kids/teenagers running around screaming/cussing in center atrium all day and night. No security present anywhere or management to tell kids to tone it down. No quiet hours. After midnight I went to front desk and no one was there! Finally found an employee and threatened to call the police...they said...GO AHEAD! While I was down by front desk...a soccer ball goes flying into desk area from upper floor. Cussing could be heard echoing all over inside hotel from the kids. Next day, still no manager and told to email director who just gave poor excuses via email. Told to forgive them because of staffing shortage. When I used the lobby men's bathroom after checking out my last day there was barf all over and around the urinal from the night before. It was disgusting. At 58, I've traveled a lot over the years at all levels of hotels/motels and this was one of my worse hotel visits EVER!

Room smelled bad. Several lamps didn't work. Toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. Didn't request or want handicapped room and found it uncomfortable. Strangely shaped bathtub.

i purchased 4 rooms, all same day. They were all different prices. Door knob came off when I opened the door to bedroom. Remotes were. missing batteries. only one elevator on end we were on to pool was operational.

I was very surprised at the condition our room was in. I've stayed at Doubletrees in different states and this one was by far the worst. Broken furniture, couch was worn and sagged in the middle, pillow case had a stain, chair was very dirty and had snags and a hole in the fabric. Only 1 small garbage can was in the room. Our keycard stopped working twice. I was disgusted that we could not get in our room and when I tried to use the customer service phone on my floor it did not work. I had to go all the way back to the front desk (while in dripping wet swimsuit and wait in line (with nicely dressed people there for a wedding/family reunion) to learn I was not the only person having this key problem. It seems that it has been happening a lot but still was not taken care of. I've called the hotel manager twice and got voicemail. I've left 2 messages and no one has ever called back. NEVER again.

Great hotel and excellent location for me & family. Travel the Chicago two days and freeway were close to hotel. Close to the best Chicago hot dog and pizza. Also restaurant for breakfast gave you free donuts.

There was no exhaust in the bathroom and there was no air freshener either.
The carpet was dirty, I think they must change the carpets. it was smelly.
The elevator near our room was out of order we were on 6 floors we had to walk all the way to another side to take the elevator.
I was not expecting such service from Hilton.

Everything regarding the stay was great!!!! But I paid for the room in advance and then I saw that they also charged me again at check in. If I didn’t notice then I would of been double charged!!! Now I have to wait days for that money to be released

Elevator near my room was out of service almost entire trip; ice machine on my floor was unplugged - reported and not fixed. Kids in jacuzzi and adult only time not upheld. Without daily maid service building did not have enough trash cans for self removal.

The suite is huge! It gave me a chance to sleep and hubby a chance to look at TV simply by closing the door.
I also appreciated Starbucks and the restaurant for breakfast items. We look forward to staying there again.

After booking i seen alot of bad reviews so I was hesitate on going. But I was unable to find another one in short notice. Im leaving a review to say I did not have any issues during my stay. Very true there is not alot of towels. But i asked the housekeeper for more towels and she gave me some right away. There is no vent in the bathroom so hot showers left the mirrors all fogged. The pool was small, but I have younger children so i appreciated that when others wont. Otherwise we had a great stay. Room was larger than I expected. Separate living room area with a TV and couch pulled out into a bed which once again was great for the children. Beds were soft. Could use more pillows. But we had a great stay. The bar and Starbucks is definitely is a great combination the hotel offers. I would definitely stay there again.

The pool was extremely dirty. Grime all around the outer edge that could have been wiped down. The furniture in the room had scratches in the furniture, Surfaces were dusty. Also, no housekeeping unless you gave 24 hour notice. That's a lot of notice. When you travel you eat out an tend to create a lot of food garbage. Had to carry it out myself or call the FD which was always busy. Prices keep going up for hotels as they hire less staff to care for their properties/guests and put more $ in their pockets.

Not a good experience
on check we explained that we were there on our 50th anniversary, no response from person at desk. No information was given that we would need to request that our room be cleaned or new towels! No free water. Our first room was right in front of elevator. We changed rooms. Not sure we would stay there again

The front desk was nice but our room wasn't that great. They put us in an accessible room and requested a reg room on hotel.com but was too tired to change rooms and hotels.com didn't show on their receipt we had paid extra for breakfast to be included but the hotel desk guy just let us go to the breakfast area. Overall I would give the stay a 6, the rooms are a still a little outdated and not the most cleanest. Carpet needs cleaning and room needs to be cleaned a little better.

Mixed feelings, not my first choice in the area.
My wife and I stayed as a couples trip for Valentine’s Day and her birthday, our key to our room didn’t work and had to go back down (we were on the 5th floor) 3-4 times. We went out of dinner and came back to the bar in the lobby for drinks. Which were small and super expensive. Our bed was very uncomfortable. I had called down to the front desk for a fan with no answer 3 times which my wife finally went to to ask for one was lied to about having one they finally checked and did have one. They are also in the middle of renovating I think. Room sizes and set ups are great! It’s not one of the first places I’d pick to stay first in the area. I also think we’re we’re charged more then our Hotels.com guarantee!
