So so stay
The room had a strange smell and the bathroom had issues. Sink was clogged so didn’t drain properly and shower head didn’t want to work correctly when you tried to adjust it so we couldn’t take a shower. Only stayed for a night so it did it’s purpose.

My brother and I rented separate rooms. He found other peoples clothing in his room. When I told the manager about it, he felt threatened and told me the best he could do is change rooms. My room there was a constant knocking sound all night and the heating system whenever it kicked in was loud and would wake me up. I have taken pictures of the clothes and how we found them and I have also recorded the sound that I was hearing all night in my room. When I told the manager there, he seemed indifferent and didn’t care less. His last name is Bunch. Very disappointed in my stay expected more as a Bonvoy member.

False advertising and nothing special.
Finding a place to stay that has an on site restaurant and bar can be difficult when you are on the road. That being said, we booked this hotel. After being in the car on the road for 10 hours, we were looking forward to a bite to eat and a cocktail. We checked in at 7:45 pm and were told the restaurant was closed today. What??? There was nothing we could do so we ended up having a pizza delivered. Disappointing to say the least. And I paid a higher rate for this hotel over others because we specifically wanted a restaurant and a bar on site. I guess going forward I will have to call to confirm this fact rather than booking online. There was a new girl at the front desk. She and her helper were pleasant and gave us a list of restaurants that were nearby. None of them were in walking distance. When the pizza delivery came the poor guy had to use the stairs to the third floor because the elevator was not working. There is no complimentary coffee unless you use the small machine in the room. And although the kitchen was not open the night we arrived they were serving breakfast items for a fee in the morning. The room was nice, the bed and the pillows were comfortable, but I think there was a giant staying on the fourth floor above us because we heard every footstep he took.

Like the location. Very clean. The staff was very nice. The bathroom needed a vent and spiders all around the pool area and around the lounge area outside. But loved the clean room. The halls , elevator the lobby nice and clean also the floors. Will be staying again. 💕

The hotel is wonderful. Clean and comfortable. The Bistro food was good. We did have an issue with plumbing not working properly. We were moved into another room very efficiently. The night manager on duty, Nyerika was extremely helpful making the change of rooms go smoothly.

The hotel is great. But my mom went to verify something about the bill and the person didn't speak Spanish and ended up understanding she wanted to check out. She got her money back but at the moment her bank account was drained with extra charges. People on front desk should be bilingual. Or don't take such extreme decisions if you're not sure of what you can understand.

Everything and everyone were great EXCEPT for the bistro—we had to wait 45 minutes for our breakfast order even though we were the only ones there. The person who took our order and then forgot to actually make any of it- including coffee- was snippy and rude.

We were happy with our room and the overall quality and cleanliness of the property. However, the website claimed there was a bar and a bistro for dinner and breakfast. We chose this hotel based on that as well as our experience with Marriott. After driving 11 hours we just wanted to have a cocktail and dinner and not have to drive anywhere else. And we needed to out early and was planning on a “real” breakfast. Only to find out the hotel is under new management and as such could not open the bar. And in the morning they were not staffed appropriately to deliver the breakfast they advertise. We were left at night to go into town where we had to pay for parking and had a terrible dinner. Breakfast was unacceptable . The coffee was terrible. My point with this is they should not be advertising amenities they cannot deliver. Hotel pricing is based on these services. We did not receive any prior notice or discount. Marriott you can and should do better.

Front desk charged my credit twice, then had to to argue with a rude manager to make sure it was refunded, room wasn’t clean, hair all over the bed, open soap still in the shower, and piss still in the toilet

We actually travel with our little dog (14 pounds). So they gave us a “dog friendly” room, not a problem but when we walked in the room and the disenfectant they used was worse then the dog smell, turned on the fan & it was better. Tried to go back out our door and it wouldn’t close, my husband had to really shove it to even get it close. The microwave didn’t work (we brought food to heat up). The rug was all torn up (I guess from the dog that had previously been in there). So we had to watch it so we wouldn’t trip over that spot. Went down to get the continental breakfast and they had these brown paper bags that guests to pick up. It contained a dananimals yogurt (kids yogurt) a muffin and a fruit cup and a bottle of water. Worst breakfast we have ever had. For the price we expected MUCH more (not to mention we had to deposit s non-refundable $75.00 fee for our little dog. Over $200.00 for the worst stay of my life. Needless to say we won’t be going back!!!

Odd cleaning schedule
It was an odd stay. We checked in about 6:30 PM, and had to wait a bit for the room to be cleaned. This surprised us. The room was fine, until about 10:30 PM when there were loud noises -- banging, knocking, etc., -- which led us to call the front desk. She apologized, and said she thought it was cleaning, and to call back if it persisted. It did quiet down about about half an hour.
Also, there was no food service on this Sunday evening; had we known that it was the only night of the week with no service, we would have picked up something to eat prior to arriving. There are no nearby restaurants to this hotel.

On the website for this specific Marriott Cayce SC it says FREE breakfast Buffett. However, this was not the case at all. All dinning is sales best. We specifically chose this site for great amenities and the free morning breakfast. And they did not acknowledge their website advertising. Call before you stay.

Friendly, clean and lots of amenities
Friendly staff, very clean and nice onsite amenities. The mattresses are firm, so I had a bit of a tough time sleeping as I usually sleep on a cloud. Most people would be comfortable. I would stay again, but bring a topper next time.

This hotel was very nice. The lady that checked me in was very sweet. The room was very nice and included a couch and huge shower. Hotel was very clean and smelled nice. Wish we would have gotten to utilize happy hour at the bistro while there. Would stay again.

I was very disappointed that the Hotel advertised I restaurant/ Bistro & Bar Neither was open.
There was no Breakfast, just a bag with granola & yogurt.

Nice, clean hotel just off I-77, however nothing around or close by for eating.
Hotel did not include breakfast with room charge. Had to purchase at lobby food bar. Most hotels at this price level provide some type of breakfast.

Two nights.
The good-beds comfortable, well lit and welcoming lobby. They did find an item we left behind and contacted me-so that was nice.
The bad-hot water is not hot enough for a bath-or for a very hot shower; housekeeping did not come into room to make the beds, straighten up, or change out the towels; Restaurant in lobby is just a coffee shop with like 3 menu items for breakfast and lunch. No complimentary water bottle upon arrival also a bit odd.
I guess I’m just a bit spoiled by what great Marriott’s normally do. This was more of what I would expect at a motel 6 or a motel.

Vehicle broken into.
The hotel itself is a very nice place. However, my truck was broken into as well as 2 other vehicles into. Occurring to the Caycee sheriffs office that is a frequent occurrence in the area. Would not recommend staying here.

We had a very good stay at this hotel. Have been here before. The bistro/bar was not open on a Sunday but the wonderful gentleman at the front desk sent us to a fabulous seafood restaurant about 4 miles up the road. Will stay here again and again and again!

The property was very nice, especially the public areas. The room had eco friendly lighting, but the cool quality always reminds me of the greenish glow of fluorescent lights in hospitals and box stores. A warmer quality would be more aesthetically pleasing. The air conditioning is the room was extremely noisy.
Otherwise the staff was very friendly and helpful. The property was clean and safe. We enjoyed it.
