Front desk staff was the worst Ive ever experienced. Had a billing problem after check out and was hung up on when I inquired about the issue 2 days later... which was in the hotel's error, not my own. I wont be booking here again.

There were minor problems with our rooms bathroom area that were an eyesore but did not affect the use of the bathroom. Pool was warm and it pleasant to be in.

The door didn’t close, you had to pull it hard. The faucet in the bathroom sink was broken. Trust to turn it off turned the faucet back on

Decent hotel located next to Sam’s Club. The property was updated recently and has a couple other updates coming soon. Beds were comfy but bathrooms were a little dated. Hot water was an issue and took a while to warm up in the shower, a couple minutes.

I personally never stayed at a Hilton, but I loved the ambience it was giving as soon as I walked through the doors. The staff were friendly and very helpful. My room was amazing! It was clean and comfortable. After a long day of traveling, it was nice to walk into a place that was taken care of and all I had to do was lay down and relax. The location is convenient to the shopping centers and food!

There was food on the sheets in the one bed. Also a coffee stain on the floor by the elevator that was there when we arrived and still there when we left. Front desk staff was friendly.

Charlottesville Stay
Beautiful entry way , check in area, and modern looking restaurant ( with good food) makes you think this is a new hotel. Rooms have been updated, but not bathrooms. Mildew in shower, stained shower tiles, chipped wood on door.. just not up to par with rest of hotel, and not the kind of bath one would expect for the price of room

I had a zoom class and during the lecture the internet stopped twice.
While watching TV the sound would go off for a few seconds. Not bad if it is just a couple of times, but this happened repeatedly and was maddening to deal with

I gave it a 4 overall as I enjoyed my stay here. The staff gets 5 stars in my opinion and they all treated me and my family well. The only thing was the TV didn't work and due to a wedding, I didn't have time to call to have it fixed. Otherwise, I enjoyed this place.

Stay was ok not sure if would book on purpose again. Booked king room through Expedia but was told Expedia overbooked king rooms so was given queen. Was not queen beds my 6ft 2 husbands feet hung off the bed & beds were not comfortable. Pillows were too over stuffed. Had to go to lobby for coffee when woke up because only had 1 cup & no coffee packs in the room. Bathroom was very small & awkward.

Sleepless night and cold showers
Hotel appearance was nice, room was ok,despite a hole in the bathroom ceiling where the fan once was. That evening when i went to take a shower, noticed there was no hot water. I place a call to the front desk, they called maintenance who confirmed something was wrong and they would see what they could do. They were sold out and could not move us, so we took cold showers. On top of that,at midnight someone unannounced came barging into our room. We had the bolt secured so the door did not open completely. They announced they were security but had the wrong room and apologized. If that was not alarming enough, the early morning was worse with sounds of crying toddlers, loud guests,etc due to thin walls. The management staff apologized for everything but i will never book a room there or use double tree in the future.

Hotel its self is really nice walking in to. The room was not very well kept up. There was spilled coffee on the wall, stain on the floor. The bathroom ceiling looks like it has damage from moisture, and the shower was pretty dirty.

We did not stay here, waiting on Expedia to process the refund on our stay. Room was not comparable to what we booked and the room was filthy. Staples and various detritus all over the carpet, black mold in the shower, one of two bulbs in the bathroom burnt out, someone else's hair all over the vanity, no towels or toiletries, empty tissue box sitting next to the box cover on the vanity, and just overall dark and dingy. Requested a different room and was told there was no availability; requested cleaning service to refresh the room and was told no. Contacted Expedia, who also tried to reach the front desk to address the issues, and after 45 minutes of trying to reach them with no answer, the customer service associate said she would submit a ticket to refund us for the situation. Terrible and disappointing experience and not what we would expect from a DoubleTree.

Double Weed Hotel
The desk clerk was very friendly and informative. For the most part the hotel was in good shape, but there were maintenance issues that should be addressed. The elevator floor was wet from people who had been to the pool. The smell of marijuana.was so pungent, on our non-smoking floor, it smelled like a Phish concert. I wouldn’t stay here again.

They are putting Website Bookings in specific rooms. These rooms are dirty and in desperate need of remodeling. We stayed there twice in 2 weeks. Both rooms where like this. The Linen smelled almost as if someone had slept in the bed and it was just remade. The second room was the worst, it smelled like smoke. This smell was IN the linen and pillows. This place was probably really nice back in 1990, but today its just nasty.

I had a really nice stay at the Double Tree. The hotel is very clean and modern. The bed was super comfortable. The pool area is gorgeous, although it is indoors. So no tanning. The area is convenient to a lot of restaurants, not so much to the downtown area. But that was no big deal. Not a big deal, but be aware there is a $150 hold on your credit card for incidentals. I would definitely stay there again if I were in the area.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The initial room that I was given wqs so dingy that i had to request another. And I was quite blatantly treated differently by the front desk and management because I booked through Expedia (they had the audacity to tell me so!!!) And finally, they have managed to tie up almost $800 of my money wirh their billing snafu that i am still dealing with 11 days after i checked out. Stay anywhere BUT here!!

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff. The only negative I see is their staple chocolate chip cookies. The only kind they have contains walnuts which some people (like me) can’t eat. The guy in line in front of me couldn’t either. It would be nice if they had an alternative for those situations.

The hotel was nice, quiet, safe. However, the A/C unit was louder than anything I have ever experienced. It sounded like a jet plane that also had a loose engine rattling around. The decibel level was 63. Even with earplugs in, I could still hear it. It was too muggy to sleep without it on and too loud to sleep with it on. It may have only been my room, but be forewarned.

Disappointed that there was only 1 elevator working causing long wait times and full to capacity elevator rides. For the price i feel like the property should have been cleaner. We found a plastic knife on the floor by the AC unit and dark marks on the white duvet.

I have stayed at this hotel Many times. It is very nice. Every time I am there they have the same problem-- the elevators don't work! This is a real issue and needs to be addressed.
They also need a significantly better work out facility. The one they have is totally inadequate.
What I like are the people. Always nice, always friendly. The front desk is great, especially Alicia, who is amazingly friendly.

Not really awesome. The front desk staff was very nice but the hotel was a bit “meh” overall.
The room was clean but the scheduled housekeeping service (it’s no longer automatic) didn’t show up on the day they were supposed to and by the time we got back it was too late to do anything about it. So we dealt with wet towels and not enough toilet paper, etc
The room itself was clean but the bathroom was falling apart. The bath spout was loose, fixtures were loose on the walls and so on. And the housekeeper on her phone in the hallway telling someone she doesn’t want to clean wasn’t exactly encouraging.
There was an orange M&M on the floor of the one working elevator that was there the entire length of our four day stay. So obviously they are not keeping up with cleaning.
I get that times are tough but this doubletree just wasn’t great. It wasn’t awful but don’t expect too much if you stay there.

Nice lobby area and beautiful pool area. Room was average. Room door did not seem very secure. There was a gap around the door when closed and I could actually see the light out in the hall. Which also made it very loud in the room, as i could anyone in the hall or coming in and out of their room. The deadbolt also did not seem very secure at all.

the bedding had dried blood on the bedding. Reported to front desk and requested bed to be remade. Was told no housekeeping staff available at that time of day to remake the bed and no offer made for other arrangements. Requested linens be delivered to room so I could remake the bed. When stripping the bed to remake, discovered a very large stain on the mattress. Flipped the mattress and remade bed myself (which was not good for my back issues). To make matters worse, no hot water for shower. It was a horrible experience overall.

Hotel is about 10 minutes north of downtown Charlottesville and is a little dated. Lobby and bar/restaurant area are very nice, though. Had trouble with wi-fi connection, which was frustrating. Room was cold, and adjusting in-room heater/AC didn't seem to change anything. Breakfast buffet not included and expensive for what it is. Not a bad option overall, but not great.

The only thing I didn't like was the sticker on the bathroom mirror offering complementary room cleaning- what are you going to charge for room cleaning now? But this is a mistake of the folks at Hilton headquarters, not this hotel. A lovely. clean, quiet hotel.

The service was exceptional. Rooms was nice and spacious. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was small an bath tub had signs off a previous repair. Overall good experience. Let’s not forget a indoor heated pool open all night long!!

We stayed her many years at Christmas time. They remodeled and chose appearance over practicality. The costs increased and the client services decreased. They don’t have enough staff but still charge high scale prices. The food quality declined and the service staff are extremely overwhelmed. We reserve this space, but they still seemed surprised at how many servers and bartenders to staff. There was a pin sticking out of our carpet and stains on the towels.

Nice place to stay!
We stayed here recently over the Thanksgiving holiday.
The hotel itself is beautiful inside! There is a neat terrace located outside the pool area. My kids enjoyed playing in the warm water pool, although the shape of the pool doesn't lend itself to swimming. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but we chose to go out for breakfast. There is no continental breakfast offered at this hotel. There is also a small snack bar area with snacks for purchase near the front desk. The hotel was decorated for the holidays, and the main area is large and open. I was surprised by the front desk area though as it doesn't have a "high end" feel that I expected from a Hilton hotel. Our room was on the 7th floor, and it was a nice size for our needs. The bathroom was a bit small, and the shower pressure (or lack thereof) was awful. The beds were comfortable, and the linens were fresh and clean. We were satisfied overall with our stay here.
