Check in was fantastic. Touriya was amazing, she accomodated our request for a room on the same floor and continued to check in with us to make sure we were fine. Really appreciated the extra effort on her part. The area is easily accessible to everything which was great as we could walk to downtown crossing in under ten minutes. Definitely will consider them for a future stay in Boston!

Good property in central downtown boston. Rooms are sizable and clean. The property and room seem old. The carpet looks like it has not been cleaned for long time. We were there only for one night on a business trip, do did not get to experience much. We asked to extend the checkout but there is a $75 charge if you do that. Did not choose it.

I liked that you can pair your phone with your TV so that I could watch my Netflix on the TV (though they do also have lots of HBO channels). Lots of good restaurants within a short walk: Pho Pasteur (vietnamese), Penang (malaysian), French Quarter (cajun), Montien (Thai).

Convenient and quiet

The rooms are definitely showing their age and could use a refresh. Burn marks on the carpet and there was some possible mold in the bathroom. Location is great and front desk staff were amazing though.

Great hotel but VERY OVERPRICED PARKING
Very clean, great music in the bar, close to Boston Commons, very walkable. Parking is VERY OVERPRICED@ $59/day for uncovered parking. I paid $10/day in Atlantic City for covered parking.

great staff. Front desk/reception was extremely helpful, kind, and professional, all while handling a busy flow of guests and adhering to a constantly ringing phone line…in particular, Touriya went above and beyond to help when I had change of plans/circumstance. The service at the hotel by far was its greatest strength… would return.

Hotel was OK. Staff friendly. Parking high at $59.00 a night. Good location- walking distance to Trolley and Subway. A bit noisy location- next to Tuffs Medical Center- ambulance sirens through the night and early AM.

The room was neat, but had a weird (budussy) unpleasant odor. The cookies they give you upon check are good. Prior to arriving at hotel, I called to ask for early check-in or if I could drop luggage off. I was told they had a room ready & I could check in for an additional $25. Upon check-in, guy beside me just showed up & his early check in fee was waived.

This hotel is perfect if you are going to attend an event at the Boch center, it is so close if you cut through the back parking lot. The staff are very professional and super helpful. The restaurant food was very good. There is cvs close enough to walk. I would definitely stay here again.

No tub which is one big reason I love to stay in hotels, or laundry facility. Came back from the soaking rain on Saturday and all my clothes and shoes were drenched, and there wasn't a dryer to put them in. I had them hanging all over the hotel room, and turned the fan on to try get them dry before I had to pack them in my suitcase. There were still wet the next day. SEAN at the front desk was AMAZING! He got me set up for the Trolly Tour and answered ALL my questions with no hesitation! Super friendly, outstandingly helpful and outgoing! He is a huge asset on your team!

The pool is not part of the hotel - it is located at the YMCA, which I wish I knew this prior to choosing this hotel, but otherwise it is a great place to stay. Clean room, friendly staff, convenient location, Starbucks and restaurant on site

This property was amazing. The rooms were clean and spacious. The area was perfect. You’re close to so many attractions, restaurants and all walking distance. The only drawback was the pool wasn’t onsite. It’s part of the local YMCA. So just plan accordingly as it does close earlier than if the pool was in the hotel. Usually 10pm in my experience. But overall amazing stay and would stay again

Good value for the money. Very close to downtown. You can walk to most points of interest in the city center. My room was spacious. I just wish the parking description was more clear, when I reserved my room. It said parking on site but didn’t mention it’s paid parking. If I knew I would pay such a big parking fee, I might consider other options too.

The Doubletree downtown Boston (aka Chinatown) was nice and clean with friendly staff. The room was pretty small but that was totally fine. My wife and I however felt we were rather duped by Expedia's description, which clearly states "Indoor pool (guest access)". While technically true, that is a fairly disingenuous statement. The pool in question is not actually at the hotel but rather at the nearby YMCA, which leaving the hotel, walking across the roof of the YMCA (yes, that's right) and then registering with the YMCA, filling out waivers, etc., then finally joining in for lap swim. Thankfully when we went it was not very busy and so the lifeguard let my children use one lane for playing and splashing about. The whole reason we booked the Doubletree was because we knew that after a day of walking the Freedom Trail and exploring Boston there would be nothing more our children would love than an hour in the pool. Having two kids going bananas and being frustrated at the delay while you are filling out form after form was really annoying.

Not worth as Hilton hotel. Poorly managed
It’s not a comfortable hotel at any sense. No proper cleaning, no morning breakfast, no room cleaning, no water in hotel room.
I will not stay in this hotel again in my life. It’s not maintained as Hilton hotel. Terrible.

Disappointing
Broken ice machine 3rd and 2nd floors (gave up after that), no cookies at check in (no biggie but was promised), filthy windows obscured city view which we paid to have, pillows and bed were so uncomfortable no one slept well. Room temperature kept fluctuating despite thermostat settings. I am 5' 8" and had to squat to get under shower head as it was level with my chin. Text feature to communicate with front desk they did not respond to for hours. Housekeeping knocked to ask when we were leaving an hour before check out. I detest being made to feel like I need to rush to leave when we paid for the space.
I am a 'go with the flow' kind of person but as the issues kept piling up this was a very disappointing stay and was not even close to worth the price we paid.
I would never stay here again. Thankfully there are many other lodging options in Boston to enjoy. If you want a comfortable rest where customer service is King and amenities aren't dingy/defunct then skip the Double Tree/Hilton Downtown Boston.

There was no outdoor seating and had to ask for housekeeping the night before. I was not told that at check-in. For $400/night housekeeping should not have to be requested.

Great Hotel/Awesome View
We booked the Doubl Tree due to the fact that it was just around the corner from the Theatre District and Chinatown! Little did we know that the side of the hotel that faces Tremont St has the best view of Downtown Boston that you could ask for. Also, the person at the front desk was (Sean) was great. Awesome interaction.

The room didn’t have a view to anything. The window is masked because it faces the inside of a building which is very bizarre. Tv - terrible - it’s as if it’s connected to an antenna. It keeps freezing up. Parking - $60, very expensive on top of paying $340 something for the room. Room doesn’t even offer complimentary water bottles like most hotels, and not even a continental breakfast or free coffee in the lobby. This stay was not worth the money. Love the location and convenience of walking to the theater district and Chinatown but that’s about all this hotel has to offer.
