Great stay
Great location for Moody Center. Loved the in house bar, Bartender was great!. Did have a leaking cold water faucet in bathroom basin. other than that great stay. Friendly and helpful staff.

Reserved a king bed, but got 2 smaller beds.
Bar closed prior to the posted 11pm closing time. We came at 10:55 and were turned away.
The breakfast buffet’s were not warm. They closed breakfast and coffee service without any last notice to diners. Generally, hotel restaurants let you know that they will be shutting down shortly, in case you want a last cup of coffee or buffet item.

When i got to the hotel i checked in. I was charged $100 as an "incidental" fee but according to the emails i had received it would be $75 and the email i received also said i would pay $25 plus fees for parking but when i got there it was $30 plus fees. Then theh couldnt give me a key to my room because they were having some issues. So everytime for the first 24hrs i had to get someone to escort me and open our room for us which was really frustrating. Then the app i had to use to pay for parking wasnt working for me and i called the front desk twice and was just told to try it in the morning. The second day i attempted to do laundry and the app that i was supposed to use was not working either. I called the front desk and no one answered so i just left it alone. We use Hilton properties often and this was rhe worse one ever.

I still find ridiculous to have to pay more than $70 per day in parking.
The hotel was ok alright. Breakfast options very limited and expensive for what they have to offer. Definitely go to any place nearby to have breakfast.

Pleasant stay
I expected a bit nicer for the price. The room was clean, although the vanity in the bathroom was scratched and very worn. Tv remote wouldn't work half the time. Housekeeping came by while we were in the room and she was very pleasant.

Good hotel, no drinks on prem, expensive breakfast
Drink machine was almost empty, with no coke or non-diet drinks (can't stand the taste of fake sugar), so we went to the bar, which wasn't that busy, waited for 5-10 minutes and never got acknowledged by the bar tender. Ended up going to a nearby gas station to get drinks. We didn't start for breakfast, since it was almost $19/person with an inexpensive Denny's out front.

We were really happy with our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. We stayed here during a concert at Moody Center. Walkable distance. Definitely recommend it to avoid car traffic. Walk was 10 minutes tops. Walk towards center had a slight incline, but very manageable. There is a Denny’s next to the hotel. Would definitely stay here again and recommended.

The room was dirty. The bed sheets had blood stains. The bathroom shower was very rusty. It looked very dirty. The maids woke us up knocking on our door at 9am and didn’t even give us a chance to even answer the door, they opened the door and let themselves in. This terrible. Why would I want to stay here again. I paid for one night and my check out is at 11 not 9.

It was just ok.
Thinnest walls in a hotel ever. I could hear conversation from the next room. Even moved rooms due to party goers in my hall. Staff was awesome though.

Don’t stay here
Room was very dirty and mold on the windows. I took my shoes off for 5 minutes and walked on the carpet and my feet were all black. The shower dropped water ALL night and when I went down to complain, he just handed me the managers card. We couldn’t sleep all night due to the dripping.
Checkout is at 11:00 and we had the do not disturb sign up and she walked in at 9:30 while we were sleeping and said “oh I’m so sorry” then I was in the shower at 10:30 and she walked in AGAIN on me showering saying “oh I thought y’all left” I would NEVER recommend this place

It was “okay” at best but considering the price and status of DoubleTree I expected more. The lobby and halls seem newly renovated/updated but the rooms are outdated and don’t have updated technology. TV didn’t even work or have the option for Netflix/screen casting which is realistically a necessity now.

The pillows in our room were covered in blood stains. Upon telling the front desk, they did not care. It took 20 minutes to get new pillows. This place is not clean. Stay anywhere else.

Checked in and received a room that was not on my reservation. I had requested a 2 queen bed room and received a 1 king bed room. Was told that all rooms were booked for the night. Confirmed with the hotel staff that my reservation showed 2 queen beds and was booked to a 1 bed room.

Bed was hard. Had a few hand towels that smelled like throw up!!! I addressed it when checking out but guy at desk just ignored me. The rest of the hotel looked and smelled clean. Very close to Moody was able to walk back after concert.

We had a very bad experience. We had pot smokers across from our room, the manager just charged them extra for smoking in a non smoking hotel, but it was very unpleasant to have the smell fro 2 days. I was traveling with my son and it was difficult. Our first night we had the police come to the room next door for alcohol related fight or abuse. We did not sleep at all. It was quite scary, I was alone in my room with my son and just the banging on the door from the police and all the drama we had was quite scary. They came back again in the Morning. The manager just said sorry but did not offer compensation or change of room. I will never ever stay there again.

1) the AC unit was loud throughout the night. The hotel did offer 1 pair of ear buds for 2 beds room.
2) I paid extra money to window view. The window is small and it is not worth the extra money.
3) I don’t understand for charging $25 for self open parking????
4) The toilet contained toilet paper inside and the shower never full turned off—continuous dripping
5) The small mirror doesn’t work despite the outlet having a green light

The staff was great and so was the property. The only complaint was the toilet did not flush very well. The other was the menu item I ordered - guacamole and chips. The chips were stale. I ordered it once and thought it was a fluke and then ordered it again and the same thing happened.

Charged twice for 1 room
I got charged twice by this hotel and it’s very hard to contact them. I was placed on hold for 30 minutes because they were “busy”. Miron at the reception was not helpful at all. She was short and had a don’t care attitude.

I can’t believe this place had a good rating. There was a hole in the bathroom wall under the sink, you had to pay $27 for parking, and almost $20 for a continental breakfast, and the pool was green with crap laying all around it. The room was fairly clean though. I had read someone else’s review that said it is walking distance to UT. It is not.

Great walking distance to Moody center. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Although the AC was off in our room and took us a while to figure out how to turn it on. Would have been nice to have instructions or at least a sign saying you need to turn it on.

Our family states here during the UIL state swim and dive meet and they did not disappoint. From the time we checked in until we checked out. Front desk people were so friendly, finding us a discount on our parking and letting us know we could walk to our venue to save parking fees. They offered free water and snacks the night we checked in and warm cookies whenever you wanted one, plus the fruit-infused water was amazing. The beds were comfortable, all the towels we needed and as busy as they were the hotel was peaceful. We would definitely stay here again.
