Not family friendly
Hotel is rather dated. Had three elevators, only one was functioning all weekend. Rooms are rather small. Has a nice gym and pool, however they close at 8pm on the weekends. Would not ever recommend for a family trip. Definitely geared toward business travelers.

Good breakfast(surcharge). The hotel is clean. There isn’t much close to the hotel but it’s far from restaurants and other entertainment. I didn’t like that there wasn’t a fridge in the room. I LOVED the digital check-in options, although with that option it was supposed to be a contactless check-in, it wasn’t contactless. I loved that we got to choose our floor and room number on the app. Overall, I would stay again.

I booked a room for 4 people: a king and pull-out couch. In order to use the pull-out, we had to rearrange the room to get it to fit when open. There were no sheets on it, so I requested bedding from the front desk. I was provided 2 flat sheets and one pillow. When I stated that we needed another pillow and a blanket, he said he would come back with one but never did. The mattress on the pullout was so thin that you could feel every wire and spring. It was not a comfortable stay.

The young lady named Darby was very helpful and courteous in helping to find the Health Center. Her smile and acknowledge me and other guests looking confused had helped make us feel comfortable ! Also the hotel manager was just simply amazing , he helped me and my friends(other guests) feel so welcomed and was very hospitable and offered any further assistance that we may need during our stay !!! What a pleasant and enjoyable stay and would recommend staying at the Double Tree in Chesterfield ! I'll be back next time in St Louis !! Thank you all very much !!!

The hotel was rundown and dirty; stains on carpet and worm furniture in the lobby and halls. Our room has stains on some fabrics like lamp shades and wallpaper. The shower could have benefited from a bleach spray. The indoor pool was dated and had tiles missing and coming off. Not what I expected from a 4 star convention center Hilton.

Two plus hours wait a day before Moms Funeral.
It was catastrophic. Just before this I’d come from out of state to say goodbye to my beloved Mom over the last 4 days of her life. When I arrived at THIS hotel 5 days later upon returning for her Memorial Services tracking place the next morning I was forced to wait TWO AND A HALF HOURS for the room I had reserved. I had arrived 45 minutes AFTER the check in time. Calling from the ONE AND A HALF HOUR point forward had me increasingly desperate. It only became ready after my final time being put on hold for over 5 minutes - during which I marched into the lobby and begged as I sobbed aloud for them to please give me my room. I can only guess they were embarrassed in front of the small crowd of other people in line to check in. It was humiliating as I had nowhere else to go nor the emotional capacity to look elsewhere at 6:15 pm on a Friday. The room lacked several standard modern amenities. An expensive room service meal and nice bed in a clean room were small comfort when my Mom’s Memorial Services would be taking place less than 16 hours from entering the room I’d reserved.

Needs a refresh
The space was great, but this place really needs a refresh. The lobby was nice, but our room was very dated, and the furniture was worn out. Service was great, but we paid a little extra for a suite that was in really poor condition. All is the furniture was stained, the decor was dated, and the cabinets or whatever they were below the tv were worn out. The photos below are an example, and all of the furniture was in this condition.

The staff were absolutely terrific and most definitely made my stay 10x better. Room was decently clean, pool area could use some attention but overall a great stay. Possibly more clear signage where smoking is/is not allowed may be helpful as well.

The irony is we stayed here overnight because of the reviews. While thankful for a place to sleep:
The AC is as loud as rush hour.

The exterior building is in desperate need of a deep clean or renovation. The check-In was smooth but the room smelled of stale cigarettes.
The outside pool had multiple empty plastic cups from the bar floating in it as well as a decent amount of dirt in on the floor. The lifeguards had no interest in performing any cleaning duties, merely throwing a football and beanbag at one another.

definitely an older hotel in need of upgrades but overall not terrible and would stay here again based on the staff. They were all extremely helpful and accommodating. This hotel is attached to an athletic club. If you are looking for a decent fitness facility while traveling, this can't be beat. Very nice place for all forms of exercise.

The price was very expensive for what it was. I asked the front desk for another ice bucket and it was never delivered.
At breakfast the prices were extremely high and there was basically no service. The leader told us he would "take care of it" which led us to believe he was going to comp the one bowl of oatmeal I ordered that took 20 minutes to deliver. We were still charges for the oatmeal.
My brother got a cup of coffee in the lobby and requested the coffee station be refilled. 1 and 1/2 hours later it still was not refilled.
It seemed like there was not enough staff to take care of the guests properly. I have no desire to return to your facility even though I have family within a mile of your establishment. Your prices were luxury, but the service was Walmart level.

Sheets had holes and the bed spread was stained. Air conditioner had to be on full blast to keep the room from being muggy or humid. No mini fridge. No where to charge devices (usb ports). Bed was not very comfortable. What I’d expect from a hotel with a 6.5/10.0 rating not 9.0/10.0. Breakfast was pretty good tho. Needs an overhaul soon in our opinion.

Great experience at this Hotel. It has way more amenities than we realized when booking. Dinner was good but breakfast was over cooked, but we did come during the last hour of service. Our only major complaint was with the heat in the bedroom of the suite not working. I mentioned this at check out as everyone was asleep before I realized it was getting colder. The room reached 64 degrees by morning. When I brought this to their attention I got zero response beside a note to remind maintenance.

Non functional heating and housekeeping
The heater kept on blowing cold air. It could be fixed for a few minutes but ended up blowing cold air all night in the middle of winter. Morning of check out, house keeping kept knocking from 8am to 12pm (check out) over and over after being told to stop.

I didn’t have a mini refrigerator to put my food. So the food that I bought while we were out was a waste. I killed 2 lady bugs, a spider and a stink bug. Told the front desk and they didn’t care. The remote to the tv didn’t work. I’ll be contacting the corporate office Monday morning.

the hotel was clean and comfortable. Overall a good stay. I missed a small fridge and a microwave inside the room. I’m used to have it in other hotels that I booked recently.
The coffee in the hallway rubbed out couple time and they take long time to replace it.
The front desk was great with information and trying to solve it.

I loved that it wasn't particularly busy, so there was no waiting. That said, the staff wasn't particularly friendly (surprisingly enough!). The room was missing some basics that had been missed by housekeeping. And it just felt like the hotel was a bit dated. The next time we're in town, we'll try someplace else...

Bathroom flooded and they refused to fix
Worst hotel we have stayed in for many years... Staff was rude and wore their masks under their noses. Our bathroom flooded and they said they couldn't fix it because of COVID. After we checked out they said - why didn't you ask to change rooms? Are you kidding me? If that was an option, why didn't you offer it? Room smelled old and bad. We will never stay here again.

This is marked as a 4 star hotel. The expectation is good service, clean and good facilities. The pool was not clean or services. There were not many people using the pool. Bar is not available until 5pm. No persons available to get towels. No towels available any way. Dirty glassware from previous day laying around the facilities. Bartender was notified but still were not pick up. During dinner, i was served a salmon that was passed old and smell horrible. During breakfast next day, tables were dirty with no plates pick up from previous persons. Only one person attending that was grumpy and tired. No one was attending the coffee bar. Totally disappointing. Will not use it again.

We love staying here. This is our 4th visit and would recommend this hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The desk clerks are friendly and helpful.
The exterior and parking areas have deteriorated over the eleven year span of our visits here but have not diminished the stay.

I loved the gym area and all the activities on this property. Indoor and outdoor pool, tennis courts, basketball courts. Impressive gym!
The room could have been cleaner, there was hair all over the shower and bathroom floor and the air never changed from 70 when I tried to lower it.

The location and condition of the hotel was fine, but the room had two sheets of toilet paper and no one would answer the desk phone...had to go down and ask for toilet paper...also have always been greeted with their signature cookie, didn't happen this time...not something I expect at a DoubleTree. I somewhat understand with the difficulty in finding employees, but the basic services have to be there because they certainly are not discounting the rooms.

A weekend getaway
The room was clean. The handle broke off the tub faucet. They did offer maintenance, but used the shower for alternative, so that our plans were not interrupted. Service was good, just not enough employees to go around, but that is everywhere and all businesses these days. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was good.

My husband and I chose to stay in a king deluxe suite with our son for a ballgame. The facilities are great, it's just that it is pretty run down for what it used to be. And for what the rooms cost, I expected a bit more. The couch bed was completely flat and brown and when we asked for sheets and a cover (because there wasn't any in the room) we were told they didn't have any extra at first. Then all we were given was a sheet set, no cover or anything to sleep with and no mattress pad of any kind to put on this so called couch bed. My son chose to sleep on the couch, just not with it pulled out. The bed was okay and bath was a very good size. It had a built in jet tub (we aren't hotel tub people so we used the shower within). The shower was a bit weird to have to step way into the tub to get in to shower and then despite our best efforts, the design flaw is that the water gets all over the floor. The stay wasn't horrible, just pretty disappointing and inconvenient. We probably will not stay here again.

Nice hotel
This is nice hotel in a business park, so very quiet area. But still easy to get to restaurants or things to do. The building was well decorated and the pools (yes multiple!) were nice. My only complaint was that we did not have any sheets for the pull out couch, so we called down to get some. We were told they'd bring them up. 45 minutes later I went to the front desk to get them myself and was told they didn't have them at the desk but would send them right up. 30 minutes later, we still hadn't gotten them and gave up. Thank goodness we have two toddlers and not teenagers, as we all slept in the king bed! That experiment wont keep us from staying there again, it was just disappointing. The property was well maintained and clean and the cookies are a great bonus!
