Too expensive for broken amenities
The first surprise was $44 a. Night for parking. Second, all ice machines on our floor were broken. Third , the USB ports in our room were broken. Wifi was also to wxpensive. This hotel was priced way too high for the quality of my room and àmenities. I will not be back

Accommodating staff
We arrived about 3 hours ahead of check in. Not only did they allow us to check in early, they upgraded our room. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Pleasant staff.

One Night in DC
Was flying through Reagan to get home. Got stuck due to weather so had to stay overnight. The understaffed night shift did a good job of processing all the last minute reservations. The one hotel shuttle was not adequate to deal with picking up all the last minute guests from the airport. A number of us ended up taking a taxi or Uber to the hotel. The room and bed was comfy, quiet and dark. The shower was very much welcome in the morning. Could have used a complementary toothbrush and toothpaste since my luggage was still at the airport. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee was good. Overall I had a restful stay and would stay here again.

Privacy, NOT!!
We love staying here. Room was nice, service great, people very helpful. The only thing we do not care for is, because the buildings are so close, very time we would look out our window the building next to us the person living there could look right at us. Not the best for privacy. The person was always there. We couldn't enjoy daylight or night time opening our curtains at all. We paid extra for a King suite just to get a good view. PRIVACY, NOT!!!!

The location of the hotel is very good. Breakfast was not included as we paid smart amount to stay there for 1 night. We were misguided about the parking and were asked to pay $65 for 24 hours whereas it was Christmas Eve so the public parking was free. The paid parking machines are outside the hotel building please check them first before you pay the parking fees to the hotel.

Checking in with Jordan from the Front Desk was very frustrating. I was there for almost 30minutes checking in coz he couldnt book my rooms properly and he kept on giving me inconsistent information. Didnt even apologize.

Comfortable Hotel with a beautiful view

Sitting on busy intersection and not able to walk into DC area. There was walking streets behind hotel and that was nice. Near a mall if you like malls but prefer small outdoor shops and cafes.

There was a 15 minute wait to check in but the complementary warm cookies and bottled water were lovely. Staff was consistently kind and helpful. We really appreciated being able to drop our bags with the bellhop both before and after we checked in for our stay. We enjoyed our stay but also want to let others know that the walk to the nearest metro station involved crossing on ramps to a major highway. We are walkers and managed it without problems but this may not be the place to stay if you are relying on mass transit (Lyft rides helped when we needed to get into DC quickly).

I love the property but the man who works in the front on Sundays was very rude to me and my boyfriend upon our checkout. My heat was broke for majority of my stay and it was freezing outside so now I have a cold. Outside of that I enjoyed my stay.

Keeping it real...
This was my first trip since Covid. Much is different; not always good. No shuttle service to the METRO, only to the airport. No predictable cab stand. No newspapers in the convenience store but all prices seemingly 50% higher. The room service and restaurant, bar staff and service excellent as in all the previous years I've stayed there.

There was no cold water for a shower. It was scalding hot. No one called maintenance as requested and on day 2 a maintenance person came to my room and told me to run the water for 5-10 minutes to get cold water. Unacceptable! No compensation offered. Also no receipt available at checkout.

Rooms were very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Our curtains had a rip in them and apparently to accommodate the large AC unit they cut the left side of the curtains short and a lot of light got in. The AC unit did not seem to ever kick on and the room got very hot at night. Also we went to the market at 9:15 am where you were supposed to be able to get hot breakfast food to go and they said they were out of everything. The staff did their best to accommodate with what they had available to them though and were very friendly.

Hair in the sink. No glass cups a little disappointing and the sink was cracked. The view was nice. The room a good size. Quiet. Parking on the street Sunday night is free. Affordable at 150 total.

I want to give this hotel a 5 star because the lobby is beautiful, and all the staff is above amazing. The only thing is the rooms need to be upgraded, the air unit is loud and there is no microwave or refrigerator in rooms. Nevertheless, I would stay again.

The room with the balcony was nice. No Parking. Only 327 parking spots for a place that has over 600 rooms. No where to park to check in too the room. The event was going on, and wasn't notified that the entrance to the hotel was blocked off. The room and view were amazing but the hassle is not worth it.

The views are great. The vibe is good. Parking is overpriced. The rooms and bathrooms could use an update for sure. I was so excited to try the cookies from word of mouth, but I didn’t get to. They ran out of cookies when I checked in so I can’t review them. The elevators were the worst part. Be prepared to wait for at least 10 minutes to catch an elevator to your part of the hotel. The area around the hotel is good. Very walkable. Gives you a city feel.

Stayed one night. Service was good. Good views from room and floor. Unfortunately, the Skydome restaurant was closed when we were there. The room was relatively clean. However, I was surprised that the bathroom did not have an exhaust fan. Shouldn’t there be ventilation by code?

Staff made it stay very enjoyable. We did experience a little bit of push back from housekeeping however front desk eagerly fixed the problem to make us feel as much as home away from home. Definitely will be returning and would recommend to anybody looking for a nice romantic gateway.

This was absolutely awful.
Once we arrived from our 6 hour drive, we got sent to a room 10 floors up, only to find out that the key did not work, since they didn’t actually activate it. We went all the way back downstairs and got another room, only to find out that the room they now sent us to already had another occupant in it. We woke them up out of their deep sleep trying to get into the room. Absolutely shameful and embarrassing. We went back down to the lobby a third time, and they finally gave us a key to a completely different floor, and aside from the room smelling absolutely weird and showing severe signs of wear and tear, we now lost the view of Washington DC from our window, which was the very reason why we chose this hotel. They waived our overnight parking fee as some sort of attempted gesture for the horrible inconvenience that we had, but it took literally three desk associates to communicate that effectively with each other. They also made the extremely confusing mistake of putting the bar right next to the check-in desk, so it was impossible to hear anything the check-in person was saying because everybody at the bar was literally screaming and laughing obscenely loud right in the lobby. There was not one redeeming quality in the entire visit.

Great Staff, Be Ready to do Some Walking!
Not enough staff, so long lines for everything. Lots of things don’t work. All Ice machines were down, but they did offer free ice in the restaurant. WiFi was unavailable. Room key sometimes didn’t work. Laundry room out of order. Luggage room had no attendant, so you take a chance nobody takes your luggage from behind the front desk. Overall it was a 6. Long walks to everything. 10 minute walks end up tiring at the end of the day. Grocery store, fast food, and Target are all within walking distance, but it gets tiring if you’re touring the city. The staff that is there are Awesome! They put up with so much crap from customers and they are still maintain professionalism.

The cookies were never available, I once used the microwave in the lobby and when i took my food out there were literally ants all over my food and the container, I wanted to throw up. The prices for everything in the lobby food market are insane. I probably wouldn’t come back.

Checked in and was given a bag with water bottles and a half-eaten muffin inside. Nasty. Parking is way too much for the price of the hotel stay ($45) per night. One of my pillows smelled like dog pee and they want me to put my face on that ? Hotel restaurant and bar closes at 10 pm leaving us with nothing to do because it's to far to walk somewhere else and if you drive there's no street parking there. Dirty, Dirty, Dirty

The Doubletree Hilton Crystal City is a lovely hotel in a convenient location. The price was reasonable and the keyless check-in / entry is fantastic. The parking is horrendous. We had to make a few trips in and out of the garage to visit a friend and dreaded returning to the lot. There are columns making the structure very difficult to navigate and we saw cars parking anywhere, in multiple different positions, making turns near impossible.

Great stay here while taking my sons to a concert. Convenient Uber ride to The Wharf area and many other places. The only downfall to the place is accessibility to parking during the check in. There are spaces to use, but no one monitors them to make sure other guests are moving within the short time given. Checked in, parked my vehicle, went to the room and came back down an hour later and most of the same vehicles were still parked on those spaces. It truly makes checking in and unloading difficult.

This was my second time staying the first time was nice several years ago this time Checking in was quick but the person they have trying to sell you something like a timeshare was really annoying after a long drive.we were in the north end The room was ok not the cleanest towels and bedding was stained and the bathroom vent in the shower was so gross and filled with dust. Parking was a nightmare for them to charge $44 was insane I couldn’t even get out the next morning when I checked out. We won’t be staying again.
