The hotel staff and valet service were exceptional. The hotel had a hip vibe with a mixture of hotel guests and non-guests who patronized the bar and restaurant. The hotel was clean and had a great location in downtown Austin.

I very much enjoyed a 4 night stay here over New Year’s Day weekend. It’s a little quirky with 2 hotels in one shared building and check in on the 2nd floor but it’s a terrific hotel. I had a well appointed, very clean room on an upper floor with a great city view. Very good mattress, shower, etc. The restaurant and bar are excellent. Staff is friendly and efficient. The exercise room is fairly large, very clean, and equipment new.
Location is absolutely prime to 6th St, the Capitol, downtown, etc.
While it’s a chain and part of the Marriott family, it has the feel, spirit and individuality of a boutique hotel.
It’s a good value for the price. Even though I’m a regular Marriott traveler with certain discounts, the Expedia rate was lower in my case than booking direct..
I would stay here again for sure.

Highway robbery for incidentals charge
The hotel demanded an up front availability on a card for incidsental charges, for one night that is ridiculous. I would not pay this so you need to refund the entire amount because I could not check in

Loud Bar
Our room on 5th floor was above the bar. Both Friday and Saturday nights it was very loud - impossible to sleep until music ended/bar closed.

Convenient location, lots of dining options within walking distance. Nice and well kept property.
Only complain I have is that rooms are serviced every other day but they never tell you so at check-in nor they post it in the room, so we came back to our room at the end of the day for our second night to find out it was not serviced.

I don't ever review, but I was really let down. It wasn't that they didn't try to correct problems but I think I paid over $1800 for two nights...I couldn't check in on time, was told the restaurant/bar area was closing early for a private event. The private event was so loud I couldn't go to sleep Friday night. The worst was Saturday night, I lost TV during the middle of my team's game - one of the biggest of the year. All of this they tried to correct, apologized for, etc. I just feel I'm owed something in return.

The shops and entertainment and restaurants in the area are all great and interesting.
The lighting in the bathroom could be brighter and not also shine over the headboard into the bedroom.

Aloft for the Win!!
What an amazing property! The location to everything was perfect. They have the most amazing bar upstairs and a coffee shop on the first level. Both had a lot of action all the time.

Everything was great except the one night I needed to wake up early (4am) and club downstairs was going a little too hard. Made sleeping impossible.

Went to stay here for a couples trip. The hotel is hands down amazing. Great location and walking distance to 6th street. They have a rooftop bar/ restaurant that is beautiful. Staff was so friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

B-Day visit
Corner room very nice; extra windows gave room a more spacious feeling. Location great. But... upon arrival found toilet/shower area's sliding door was completely off the rail and sink was very slow to drain. Notified desk following morning. Maintenance fixed both within a hour. We were out of room all day into the evening and upon returning room was not cleaned with no new towels. Called the desk and was told only towels will be delivered. Arriving back later two towels were left on bed with used towels still on bathroom floor. Not the best stay for the price. If we return, will stay somewhere else

Easy breezy from arrival to departure! Valet parking ($52 a night), pets are free (added bonus for us). All the staff are incredibly sweet & helpful. The beds are comfortable. Close to nightlife & you don't hear any if it. You need a room key to access rooms, added safety measure added. Make sure to get the marshmallow latte at Caroline's!!

My husband and I love this hotel. This was our second time, and will continue to be our go to when visiting Austin.
During the night we had a maintenance issue and it was corrected right away. We highly recommend you give them a try. You will not be disappointed!

Ideal downtown Austin place
Absolutely fabulous stay - cannot commend the staff highly enough. They just went the extra mile to make everything great. I would to tell you about some sort of magical trick that they performed, but the reality is that the staff was just kind and helpful and cheerful when they could have just mailed it in. I wasn’t important or special, just a guy and wife cousin’ through Austin. It was old fashioned class and pride that one just does not often encounter these days.

My room was never cleaned in the 3 days I was there. I was running low on clean towels and toilet paper. I left a day early since it was becoming more of a hassle to be there then to just go home. They never brought my pet bed, bowls, or treats.(I brought this to their attention 2 different times after initial check in) They didn't properly check in my pets(after I told them at check in what did I need to do for my pet check in) Then they called me the 2nd day I was there in the evening and said I had 30min to get back to the hotel to complete paper work or I would be charged a $250.00 fine.

Ideal location for those visiting Austin, as it's within walking distance to 6th Ave, many of the city's musuems, TX capital, places to eat/relax and much more. There is a great coffee shop and restaurant on the first floor of the hotel building, and a rooftop area on the 2nd floor with quick bite menu options and a bar.

Property was really nice. Not really kid friendly since it’s more of a party hotel. At no fault of the hotel at all, the location is not really great. It’s on the corner of 7th Street and Congress which is right next to dirty 6th Street. Went to go get stuff to eat and got hit up three different times for money and the third time harassed and cursed out for not having any cash on us. This seems to be the norm for that area.

Fun, funky property close to everything! Cute bar area on the second floor with games and lots of common tables. A decent fitness center and breakfast tacos on the first floor. You can even borrow cowboy boots!!

Everything inside the hotel was amazing! Loved the room, the staff, and the food. The parking situation in this area isn’t ideal, and walking around at night especially didn’t feel the safest, but that’s just downtown Austin. If I go to Austin again I’d definitely stay here again.

Very close to all the downtown action without being directly on 6th street. Good food, entertainment, sight seeing within walking distance. Also has onsite coffee and dining which is nice. I do recommend and would stay here again. Pro tip - check in is on the second floor.

Room and staff were very nice and helpful. The room needs some amenities. No chair for sitting except 1desk chair. Not acceptable with two people in the room. Could use some hooks or something similar for hanging clothes. The small area with hangers was fine but I believe more spots are needed for hanging raincoats, jackets and clothes. Also the bathroom is lacking hanging spots for towels, wet clothing and swim suits.

Aloft was nice. Pictures looked nice. Description sounded awesome. But no where in any ad does it say there is no parking available. But the hotel will valet park it for $56!!!!!! Or you can walk 2-3 blocks and find a parking lot and park it yourself for $33.

The room was clean and comfortable. I had a work space which was great. The comforter was not very thick so I asked for a second comforter and was able to sleep more comfortably after that. Pillows are not the best.

Our trip to Austin was awesome. Valet is great! Traffic in that area is a lil hectic so if you need your car sooner than rather, certainly request 15-20 minutes prior to going downstairs. Hotel was clean, bed was comfy, room equipped with all your basic essentials. Checking into the hotel was a very slow process. Hotel located in a perfect spot! Walking distance to 6th street. Loved it!
