Good impression of dowtown Spartanburg
Very clean and comfortable rooms. Liked the spacious counter space in bathroom and the rain shower head. Also nice to have a sofa for relaxing and watching the TV. Nice city view. Excellent, upscale breakfast. The convenience of free self parking.

What we liked is above.
What we didn't like was no fan in the bathroom. The room was a touch sterile feeling. The bath towels were terrible!
The breakfast buffet was very expensive for what it was.

I arrived at night after a car accident. This is not a planned stay and i don't know the area at all.
This hotel staff was very nice at the check-in, and the room was very sleek and nice.

The hotel was clean and my room was very nice. The staff was excellent and helpful. The bed was comfortable.
For the price of the stay, the amenities were not good. I expected so much more from a hotel of this caliber. I had an unexpected stay due to a family member being in the hospital nearby so I was stressed and in need of respite.
1. The breakfast was expensive for the same quality menu a cheaper hotel offers for no additional charge. The restaurant upstairs was ridiculously expensive. I went across the street to a local restaurant and had similar menu choices for much less cost. Very good food!
2. There was no microwave in the room to reheat food or coffee.
3. The shower was disappointing with barely a trickle out of the rain and hand held shower heads.
4. The shampoo and shower gel were the exact same liquid. The scent was more like a man's aftershave rather than a fresh citrus. The quality of the shower products was poor.
5. The carpet pattern in the hallway to my room was awful!
6. The price went up an additional $60 a night when I inquired about extending my stay for 2 more nights. Since I was already there, I think it was poor service to increase my rate by that much when I was already staying there.
6. I declined to extend my stay with AC Marriott and went to a Holiday Inn nearby for the same rate I had originally at your hotel. I got a nice room, better water pressure in the shower, nicer bathroom products and same quality bed and amenities.

Best foot forward and fell short.
There were several issues with my stay, part of the time I had no heat, then I had to listen to blowers outside my door all night, there were old blood stains on my sheets, I had to move rooms, etc.

This property is overpriced for what you receive. The rooms are very plain. Outside noise is terrible. The bathroom has no tub for a hot relaxing bath after a hard day.
You could definitely do better than this hotel.

Booked through Expedia, and was routed to an older hotel. Stated that charges would be refunded, and no charge to stay at other hotel. After 3 weeks and multiple attempts to Expedia, I have yet to find someone that will refund the money and apologize for booking me at a Marriott that said they were full.

I would definitely stay here again!
This was a pleasant surprise in downtown Spartanburg. I did not expect a hotel of this quality. It was clean, the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. I especially like the design of the rooms - nice touches from the lighting to the bathroom design with a sliding door on the shower. They also had a room safe and other pluses. All at what I thought was a reasonable price.

Hotel offered very convenient features (i.e. outlets in opportune areas, nightlight, spacious modern looking rooms, toiletry bag hook, check-in/out took a minute or less, area to put luggage, WIFI was strong, adjustable reading lamps, coffee/shampoo/conditioner/soap gel provided and more!)

Was in town for a funeral and needed to check in early. Ms. Yvonne was so helpful and friendly. Hotel was super clean and quiet. Only complaint was the shower wasn’t hot enough for me but it was ok. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

The property was nice, good location and a ok value for the price. The staff was terrible. They did not alert me that a festival was going on until 2:00 am and did not suggest that I be placed at a different part of the property. That would have been quieter. They did not clean my room after the first day. I asked for the manager and was told they would call and they never did.

Loved the location right in the heart of Spartanburg. Lots off good dining and shopping in walking distance. Felt safe. Parking lot filled up at night from 10th floor restaurant and finding a spot was always a concern. Smelled like cigars in our room even though it’s nonsmoking and that bothered my children.
